PDP leaders afraid of promoting Jonathan in Kano — Kwankwaso

Former Governor Of Kano State Rabiu Kwankwaso

The governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said that members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state are afraid to promote President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s presidential candidate, terrified that the president has failed Nigerians.

Mr. Kwankwaso said while PDP leaders in the state have shied away from identifying with the party’s presidential candidate, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has gained wider support with its choice of Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate.

Mr. Kwankwaso referred to Mr. Buhari, himself as Kano Central Senatorial candidate, and the state APC gubernatorial candidate, Abdullahi Ganduje, as easily sellable political personalities.

The governor was speaking at the government house where some APC members from Dawakin Tofa local government area thanked him for the selection of their son, Mr. Ganduje, who is the deputy governor, as the party’s governorship candidate in the forthcoming election.

Mr. Kwankwaso explained that Mr. Ganduje was chosen based on the deputy governor’s merit and loyalty to the party and the Kwankwasiyya Movement.

He said only those loyal to the APC and his Kwankwasiyya Movement are eligible for political posts.

The governor also said the party would not succumb to blackmail or people seeking favours behind doors.

“Some unfaithful members of the APC in the state, who are using the media to point the finger at leaders or send influential people to seek patronage on their behalf despite their gross incompetence would never get us succumbing to their demands or their blackmail because doing that will be doing a great disservice to the good people of Kano state,” he said.

Mr. Kwankwaso asserted that no one approached him asking him to favour Mr. Ganduje. He said party members were expected to be hardworking and loyal to qualify for any political posts.

He charged Mr. Ganduje to be committed to the progress of the state when elected as governor in the forthcoming election, assuring that the electorate would not vote for any party other than the APC.

The governor told the visitors that the APC gubernatorial candidate was presently heading 90 per cent of government committees.

He said there was no project done without Mr. Ganduje’s input, which meant if he eventually became the governor, the deputy governor would continue with the Kwankwasiyya vision.

Sai APC. Can’t stop a fully loaded moving train.

    • PROF

No i think its Loaded gun .

    • Leslie

Tell them oh!A fully loaded train without brakes.Change it is all the way.

  • amazing2012

No reasonable person will campaign for this government. Because you can’t anser simple questions of government policies which bring hardship to people. For instance: what can you say ” if someone ask you where is our fuel subsidy money ? ” or introduction of ATM charges ? or devaluation of currency ? Or insecurity ? And strike every where !

    • George

What government policies has kwankwaso mentioned here??
Since he ran out of PDP to run for president in APC(while fooling people like u he left based on principles), kwankwaso has not for once told us what his own policies are. Everyday, Jonathan Jonathan PDP PDP!
He sounds like a very bitter man!

      • Leslie

Actions speak louder than words.Go to kano and see for yourself. He isn’t like your dumbo who has been talking with nothing to show for it.After 6years he still trying to come up with a plan to fight corruption. Unbelievable! He really should talk less like his wife finally realized.Clueless lot.

        • elmok

what is there in kano that you boast of? a gingantic flyover project that he will pass over to another governor.a serious governor will not start project nine months to his leaving office and you call that a progressive governor where was he all these three years he took over ,he was busy painting government structure and inscribing kwakwasiya on them as if he built them, again go to sabon gari the only city in kano that has a well thought out plan and layout no road no water no electricity.yet you are proud of a governor that dont have respect for the office of the president and want to be one

          • Leslie

A serious govt. Can start a project 9 months before leaving office if not, what will he be doing?Waiting idle for the whole time right? You’re funny.Instead,a serious president would not start thinking of how to formulate a plan to fight corruption less than 2 months before election. And I should vote for him again.Hell no.Clean your house first before advising others to clean thiers.Happy new year.

      • amazing2012

Go to Kano and see development ! He must be bitter.
        1. Every Nigeria is bitter with who cannot fight BOKO haram. Same people he said he is eating with. If he can’t see them, because they are hiding in sambisa and he is confronted with sabotage why not arrest Ali Mad Shaitan who was clearly and openly accused of financing Boko boys.
        2. People are bitter with who during his time every body is going on strike- education,Doctors, Nepa, Aviation etc
        3. People are bitter with who said corruption is not stealing.
        4. Nigerians are bitter with who cannot arrest: corrupt people in his government that are corrupt. Eg pension money, NNPC SAGA, Stella Oduah bullet proof case, Farouk/otedula gate, etc
        5. Who reintroduce ATM charges.
        6. Who devalue our currency now we are facing inflation. Etc
Remember Kwankwaso is one of those who campaign for daft to come back but now every body is tired. Every body is bitter !!

      • Wähala

The ones Reuben Abati stole and claimed it was Dumbo who established them… remember?

  • Cypo

In 2011 election, Jonathan did not score even up to 25 percent of the votes in Kano but he still went ahead to win the election without the much publicised Kano votes. Alhaji Kwankwaso, by 15th February, just few weeks away you will eat your words.

    • Dumbo

Be deceiving yourself. Nigerians are now wiser and your dumb, corrupt and clueless GEJ can never be the president of Nigeria again. Go and help him start packing.

      • onenigerian2014

Why will he not be dumbo to you when he allows the likes of you and yours to be breathing free air, writing whatever you pleased and walking free. it has to be a true dumbo that can permit this

        • Dumbo

You must be a terrorist and no one can stop me from breathing fresh air or writing. Only God can. Not even the clueless corrupt leader from Otuoke your dumb wicked bros.

      • M. B. ISAH

        I wonder oooo!

    • Tanko

25% of votes in 2/3 of the states of the Federation and the FCT is required.
      That’s what they don’t understand.
A federal republic CANNOT Have a regional president!

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

        We already do, Tanko.

Aso Rock is presently inhabited by a “Regional” and Tribal President.

God willing, Nigerians will replace him with a proper President shortly.

        • Tanko

He is regional and tribal because his own people stand by him while some from other regions of the country attempt to make the country ungovernable fro him??
Mr soyemi, you are deeper and smarter than this. Yes, I believe GEJ can do better in dealing with those who want to make the country ungovernable, but really, to accuse him of being regional and tribal is unfair. What led to some of his people react in your so called ‘regional and tribal way’?? Is it not a reaction in defense of their son?? Abi monkey wey no fine, him mama no go like am??
Mr soyemi, if you will be truthful to yourself, the bloke who’s picture you adorn has shown from his comments and utterances that HE Is the tribalist and regionalist!
His comments are in the public domain oga lawyer. For every one statement which you might struggle to portray GEJ as tribal, i will give you ten Buhari made that gives him away.
However, there are more important things to do than argue about what is public knowledge.
Be true and fair soyemi..a little honesty won’t kill u..

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Tanko, if somebody needs to be truthful and fair to themselves, I am afraid that person is you in this instance.

Were “his peoples” votes the only thing that made him President?

It is utterances such as you have made, along with those of Mr. Clark, Dokubo Asari etc that led him up the cul de sac he now finds himself cornered into.

He, along with his coterie, wilfully frittered away the goodwill he enjoyed across Nigeria when he came into power.

It is futile to blame everybody else for the pimples on your face and absolve the man in the mirror.

          • Tanko

Why put words into my mouth?? NO ONE IS IMPLYING HIS PEOPLES VOTES ALONE MADE HIM PRESIDENT! STOP MIXING ISSUES!
Do you in your heart believe in the last elections where GEJ did excellently well in the SS and Buhari did excellently well in the core North that this was because of what the people in these zones (SS and Core North) felt about GEJ or Buhari’s ability to perform???? What do u think was responsible for this pattern?? Wether we like it or not, in Nigeria of today, Buhari has ‘his people’ and Jona has ‘his’ too.
Haba Mr kay! Be truthful my brother. Sadly for now MOST Nigerians still vote based on tribal and religious sentiments. We are gradually moving forward in terms of voter awareness but we are still far off!
If you still think differently, can you please attempt an explanation why the SS voted massively for GEJ while most of the North voted massively for Buhari??

          • Otile

You said it the way it is, brother. Buhari will still get his core Northern people and Jonathan will pick up the majority, performance or lack thereof not withstanding. This is a done deal, any other thought is an illusion. Nobody needs to lose sleep over this. No amount of insult or abuse from anyone can change the fact.

          • Tanko

‘no amount of insult or abuse from anyone can change the fact’.

God bless u for this profound statement.
That is why some of us have developed a thick skin to their insults.
Insults and abuses are no substitute for facts, figures and realities on ground.

          • M. B. ISAH

I wonder if you ever peep into the documents/statistics of NPC & INEC to see areas with majority votes. I am sorry the time has you like it or not.

          • Otile

What are you sorry for again?

          • M. B. ISAH

Let me tell you one, the only & only standing refineries in this country were built by GMB but for SS they felt he is their son who can drive away some of their hardship however, ASARI D… confess that GMB could have done better to them than GEJ. Read wide please!

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Tanko, if what you adumbrated above is the same position you had articulated earlier, I would not have argued against you.

Suffice to say, I am totally in alignment with your later position.

          • dave

Kay the guy talking to you is not Tanko, you are talking to Reno or one of his boys.Stop wasting your time talking to him.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Thanks, Dave.

            Did not spot that one.

            lol

          • FortB

I hate political discuss but I am shocked at your lack of objectivity here. I have seen many of your kind paint the president as tribal, regional and divisive president. Can you buttress that claim? I can’t recall anything or statement of the president that gives that impression. If we take state, mets by his kinsmen such as Clark, Asari Dokubo to judge him, them we may as well use such sectional statements from Jinadu Mohammed, Angola Abdullahi, Arewa etc to also judge Buhari as a sectional, ethnic and religious leader too.

My take personally is let’s leave all these archaic primodial strategy that will only destroy us, and focus instead on issues/policies that each candidate stand for and then vote our conscience. This politics of divide will not do us well as a nation. It pains me that we don’t see vibrant, young, well exposed leaders throwing their hat into the political ring.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

On the contrary, FortB, it is when people go off tangent like you just did with unbridled passion that the ship of nationhood risk running aground in a tea cup storm.

You breathtakingly skated over the issues for which I was upbraiding the former and jumped into the water without testing the depth. The result is the obvious “misjive” that have just pompously delivered.

He was hearkening to primordial sentiments and somebody needed to remind him that, it was exactly those kind of sentiments that ended up isolating Mr. Jonathan and his gang as tribal herds.

If you want to shy away from the truth, for reasons of being seen as politically correct or sucking up to some ars*, that is your prerogative, butI do not suffer from such inhibitions.

That we “don’t see vibrant, young, well exposed leaders throwing their hat into the political ring” is neither here nor there. We will make do with what choices we have and the current trajectory indicates that tried, tested and trusted hands are required to guide the national ship from drifting further instead of brash, brainless and inebriated young people.

Naturally, you have a right to support what or who you want, but I am sick and tired of people who proffer demagoguery for the sake of it.

          • FortB

With all these grammar you still provided nothing substantial to support your strong position on the ethnic and regional accusations. And if you are trying to woo voters this way, you will fail woefully

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

FortB, I was not trying to woo you or other dye-in-the-wool apologists of the current disaster we have bestriding Aso Rock and the nation.

Rather, it is to ensure that you do not get to snag and entrap the unwary with your grandiloquent posturings.

          • tundemash

Kay …… you are talking to an impostor, a fraudster. On some other issue, he claimed to be a soldier commanding some troops in the NE and yet he’s online here 24/7 defending the Abuja looters. Which soldier fighting war in the NE has time to sit here and defend those who have denied him necessary weapons to fight Boko Haram ?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Bruv, for some reason, I could swear he had claimed on another thread that he is a US military personnel, but when I went back through his timeline for the last 6 months, I just could not find it.

I was somewhat perplexed when he appeared and presented himself as an officer in the Naija military.

Sha, you have shed another light on this and I now wonder what the purpose of his charade might be.

          • tundemash

God is exposing them and the people are seeing through their evil ways. The CHANGE train has arrived in Enugu …… and was well embraced …… more woes to the e-rats. Their tactics are back-firing now !

          • Onike24

Bros, very nicely put! That’s him told!

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Thanks, Onike24.

          • @malam tanko …it’s fortunate in the beginning of ur post u still called ur boss as yes tribal and regional for what u said he owns his people meaning he is also self centered leader! By the way u still deny urself as due to what u said it’s unfair. To be frank a stateless government may be prepare than gej governance in the northan part just as he went ahead to shun them. I see no reason why gej will still expect northerners to vote for him again..

LET’S GIVE CHANCE TO BETTER CHANGE

          • Tanko

Mallam Amir, please u need to brush up your comprehension.
First I will like you to know GEJ Is NOT my ‘boss’. But i have only given an objective analysis based on the knowledge I have. Might be right..might be wrong. But i believe it is right.
Second; I DID NOT CALL MY ‘BOSS’ TRIBAL AND REGIONAL ON THE BEGINNING OF MY POST! DIDNT YOU SEE THE DOUBLE QUESTION MARKS AT THE END OF THE SENTENCE?? I WAS REFERING TO WHAT MR SOYEMI SAID!
Also, you and I cannot deny that even if a president is not self centered and neutral, he come from a place and this remains his region. That is why people from his home town of otuoke will support him no matter how well or poorly he performs. It’s sad but it’s the truth! That is why even when OBJ was president, the northern votes in the core north went mostly to the northern candidate..whike the SW votes went mostly to OBJ!
My brother u and I come from a place and the people their are our people. Wether president or not!

          • Otile

            You make sense indeed.

          • I Hate Sycophant Truly

You are a novice in politics. OBJ had problem of votes even in his home state. In 1999 election he lost gallantly in Ogun state. Even in the last general election he could not win his pooling booth. Yoruba people are not at the side of wrong doing. If you’re bad, Yoruba people will tell you, you’re bad and vice versa. It’s only other regions that support thieves among them but not Yoruba.

          • M. B. ISAH

If really you dwell in history, M.K.O Abiola was voted massively in the North, OBJ was in 1999 put forward by who…? Very soon you may be laughed at.

          • Otile

Tell them bro, any person who does not support their illiterate, arrogant god must be vilified and insulted by their mob.

          • M. B. ISAH

The fact is always the fact that’s just what we need. remind you CHIBOK GIRLS are still out of sight.

          • Otile

The girls are held in Sambisa forest by your bokoharam brothers and sisters, not by Jonathan.

          • M. B. ISAH

I suggest you use your actual name because no one will harm you that’s just by the way. Who try to accuse others of killing while his own people are telling the whole world that they are the ones that killed? Who created a whole department that belongs to only one tribe in one of our ministries? Who paid scholarship to only on set of people in this country? You better say the truth and shame devil.

Re: For the attention of General Buhari

            Thursday, 11 July 2013 00:00 Editor

            SIR:
“On April 22, 2011, The Guardian Newspaper published an article on page 51 titled “For the attention of General Buhari” wherein certain allegations were made against General Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged role in the violence emanating from the elections.

The publication was based on information which we believed to be reliable at that time.
Since the publication, however, we now have reason to believe that certain parts of the story were not verified to be correct before the publication.

We assure General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) GCFR of our highest esteem and regret any distress or embarrassment which the said publication may have caused him.”

            — Editor

      • Otile

All that Jonathan needs in those fringe states is 25%. The clear majority population is on the side of the President, fools_ cannot wish this away.

        • M. B. ISAH

You sound like someone with RED EYES ready to cry I beg oo… it is not yet February 15th, …15!

          • Otile

I have no reason to cry for Imam Buhari’s loss.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Cypo, it seems you guys are fixated on the 25 percent mirage and have taken your eyes off the ball.

Do you really think if GEJ got 25 percent in all the states of the federation and the FCT and APC gets 50 percent in same, your man would still retain the keys to Aso Rock?

      • Benny

I thought you claimed to be a lawyer! Is it appropriate under our 1999 Constitution to deny a political party a platform to canvass for votes? Just two days ago Sahara Reporters reported something similar that drivers they are scared of driving PDP campaign vehicles to Kano.

Now, the governor who should know better is putting a lead to this report. We are all watching and this might just be the beginning of the end of this contraption called Nigeria. The PDP as represented by the President cannot campaign in far north because of the volatile nature of the citizenry but Buhari wants to rule Nigeria with resources from the President’s backyard. Ok. we hear you guys.

        • Ibro

This was actually what led to protest votes the last time that made Buhari lose and she’d tears.
I was in the country at the time of the last elections, and some of my workers came on a Monday morning and told me how some people chased them out of their church in suleja shouting ‘Sai buhari’!
Some of these my workers had initially supported the general, but with that encounter, they said it wsnt by force to be ruled by someone from a particular region and opted for GEJ.
The intolerance and arrogance of these people you describe in kano and elsewhere..even on this site, are what will once again nail the general.

          • Otile

Thugs and all. We know them. Sai buhari my foot.

          • M. B. ISAH

We all know MILITANTS granted amnesty by N… rubish.

          • Otile

We also know that Imam Buhari and Satan of Sokoto have desperately sought to receive amnesty money on behalf of your boko boys.

          • M. B. ISAH

Are you hidden or you are pretending all the same, just pray for ONE MAN ONE VOTE and see what will happen.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Benny, I do not claim to be anything but myself and I don’t need you to like me for not being what I am not.

Whilst I would not try and justify why the President cannot go and campaign in the far north as you claimed, I hope you would be able to justify why the President also failed to go to Chibok to condole the community and the parents of the abducted girls.

These, and many more, are the reasons for his failure and fears. It has nothing to do with the people, who in any case, are locked down when your man goes avisiting.

Sure, he can go and campaign and nothing would happen to him, the only problem is just that he would struggle to rent a crowd to attend to his facade in the North.

Why are you guys always afraid to speak the undiluted truths at all times and instead seek to rationalise the irrational?

          • kamoru

Soyemi u got it wrong, it not bcos of chibok issue or that. Generally the kano people are violent and hate anything christian. Just bcos Jonathan is a christian that is why. But PDP still have 50% party followers in kano which is enough to give Jonathan 25% he need. For project Jonathan have given them enough eg 5km lado overhead bridge, farmer incentives package, kd-kn road rehabilitation, almajiri school, health revolving fund etc, what else did they want yet they hate Gej cos of his faith been a christian while gmb use religion as a campaign strategy.

          • Otile

You are right, religion is everything in Kano. Nobody is fooled by distortions any longer.

          • Jika

You said generally the people of Kano hate Christians and in the same breathe you said PDP has 50% followership in Kano. Are you suggesting that the demography of Kano is 50:50 in terms of religious configuration? I honestly see contradiction. By the way what percentage of votes did Buhari get in your ‘liberal’ and ‘accomodating’ region?

          • M. B. ISAH

You forgot to add hundreds of people that DIED under his watch and properties worth millions of Naira been destroyed without even condolence visit by the best president ever produce in this country… abi?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Kamoru, as you would probably surmise from my name, I am neither Muslim nor Northerner, but I do not think you are being fare to the people of Kano, by generalising them as “Christian haters”. Not only have they always voted for PDP since 1999, and in those elections, only once has PDP given them a Muslim in the name of YarAdua as Presidential candidate. That they refused and incompetent GEJ has suddenly made them religious bigots in your opinion.

            Bruv, na wa o.

          • akin-UK

So, why complain if PDP still have 50% party followers?

          • M. B. ISAH

In addition H. Okah is another reason but time shall tell.

          • Save Nigeria Father

Surely the President may be afraid but not without cause. History has not changed. And until religious issues is addressed in this country, anybody from the south is regarded as infidel not worthy to live by illiterate folks who are in majority from the North.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

“Surely the President may be afraid but not without cause.”

Gosh, I thought he was the President of Nigeria!

            Are you kidding me?

          • Save Nigeria Father

No dear but the reasoning of an average Northerner majority who were illiterates still leave much to be desired. At the name of religion they can easily be incited against any constituted authority and our President is not the type that will want anybody to die by his hand. Remember the death of the Nigerian Supreme Commander.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

@Save Nigeria Father, would you be kind enough to bring this exchange to an end without us having to denigrate each other?

I am unhappy at the way you portrayed and generalised the “average Northerner” as unthinking illiterates. I would take offence similarly if you concluded that every Yoruba Youth is an agbero or that every Niger Deltan is a militant.

We need to be more circumspect about giving ourselves negative labels.

Worse still, I am more agitated by your claim that the “President is not the type that will want anybody to die by his hand”. Do you not think that by stilling his hand from action, he has condemned the Chibok girls to a fate worse than death? Does it not occur to you that by his refusal to lift his hand against corruption, our soldiers are slaughtered like flies by boko haram and consequently, boko haram victims are also left undefended and at the mercy of killers?

Please before you justify the awful situation that we now find ourselves, please do think about the victims. Thankfully, it is neither me nor you at the moment, but those who have fallen victim did not do anything wrong, except to be Nigerians, like me and you.

I share your feelings and it do pain me for the innocent souls dying unjustly but I did not use the word unthinking illiterate and did not meant it so either. But one continue to wonder where these extremist came from. With average education or cultural values in a society nobody can think of handing over a 13year old girl to Boko Haram for suicide bombing – Fox News Dec.25, 2014.
In her research in Feb 2013, Mercy Corps pointed out that only 4% of female girls in Northern Nigeria enrolls for tertiary education. What can one guess for the boys. According to UNICEF report 40% of Nigerians do not attend any primary education with Northern region recording lowest school attendance rate. www(dot)unicef(dot)org/Nigeria/chidren. T
There was a time in my town kidnapping was so rampant. My local government was able to handle it solely because it attracts massive support and that gave rise for what you then knows as Bakasi boys in my state. Or can I ask you, why can’t Boko Haram extend their operation to Bayelsa state?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Bruv, thanks for being sensitive about that.

I accept that crime or insurgency needs the support of the local populace to take root or the antagonism to uproot it.

I do not blame the present regime for the educational backwardness of the Northerners, neither do I support the misconception, for a moment, that it is because of religion.

Rather, I would ascribe this to historical antecedents set by the British under Indirect Rule and the failure of our post-Independence crop of leaders that did everything to sustain a status quo same.

An “average Northerner” is as much a victim as the rest of us. Their plight is not mitigated by the fact that corruption has not allowed the influx of Chadians and weapons into the country to be checked.

Make no mistake about this, boko haram is a Chadian-led and fuelled insurgency against Nigeria. It can be checked only when we get our act right and stop looking at each other with suspicion.

BTW, in case you are curious as to why I hold this position, I have had the opportunity to meet with, and live among, Northern villagers in some of the most isolated spots in the country.

          • Save Nigeria Father

I did NYSC at maiduguri as God will have it and I was opportune to have some Muslim friends whose live and ideology like yours contradicts the general notion of Islam here in the east. My involvement in this long discussion with you goes beyond the selfish desires of the political class. I am bordered and on daily basis I continue to pray asking God for a way out. I believe that we can cone to a solution. From what I see going on now, world wide and Nigeria in particular it is religious battle. The recent revelations I got from God does not portray Islam as bad but as God sent to correct the abnormalities in the Christiandon. There is only but one true God that made the entire universe and He is the only hope for Nigeria.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

I was at the NYSC Camp, Government College, Maiduguri when Gideon Orkar struck.

I nevertheless did a full year in Jakusko.

….and who is afraid of the end of ‘this contraption called Nigeria’? The same war-drum you and your likes like Asari have been beating since! Yet you cannot stay in your land and survive there.

Pack your belongings and go back to where you come from. Leave the ‘contraption’ for us that believe in it and it will be without your clueless man at the top.

        • D1

But GEJ has been campaigning in Kano since. Remember the ‘skelewu dance’ when the chibok girls were kidnapped and recent TAN campaign, where was it performed? Kano, without any hindrance! Why cry wolf now!

      • Tanko

Mr kay, the ball you ought to be looking at is getting a national spread! All the politically savvy know this. This is the reason why the PDP are not losing sleep about losing in the core north. My brother, the core north will ALWAYS vote en masse for a Core Northern candidate. It’s no news. It has always been so, AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ‘NON’ PERFORMANCE OF GEJ BUT EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TRIBAL SENTIMENTS! (mind u, I am from the north)
You question of what happens if Buhari gets 50% in all the states of the Federation is worse than wishful thinking. It borders on some sort of hallucination. There are states my brother which Buhari will not get up to 2% votes. Not just states but REGIONS!
The behemoth PDP will certainly make 25% in 2/3 states.
I leave you to do your analysis and if you do it objectively u will see why this 25% votes issue should be giving you people sleepless nights!
*Hint: the entire SE and SS, Benue, Plateau, Ekiti, Ondo, Taraba, and one or two others.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY CANDIDATE TO BE UNABLE TO GET 25% VOTES IN TWO ENTIRE REGIONS (SE & SS) AND DREAM OF BEING PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!

Ore, there are 19 states in the core North, 6 in the South West, a couple in the South South and one in the South East that would go the way of GMB.

The remnants would be shared between PDP, APGA and APC.

          Please do your Maths.

It’s unfortunate that people of Kano could not differentiate politics and religion. They are so violent when it comes to politics and religion. Kwankwasu is taking the advantage of the poor almajiris in kano to intimidate opposition.

    • peter

this is very worrysome as it goes to show that kano is not a free society yet. In a democratic society which they claim to be a part of, why should any one be afraid of declaring his opinion publicly without fear of intimidation. so unfortunate this is coming from an apc chieftain who claim be be better alternatives. politics of intimidation? is kano apc better than military dictatorship?

      • Abu=Abdallah

You are just beating about the bush hence you don’t know anything regarding kano and it’s people politically and socially Pls better for if you if you can pens down not to display your ignorance.

You obviously don’t know anything about Kano Politics, Kano voted overwhelmingly for OBJ in 1999, it also voted for MKO against our own son Bashir Tofa. GEJ has failed to curb insurgency in the Northeast which has negatively affected Kano Economy, how can he be sellable in Kano then? You guys can go to hell, you and Dokubos cannot threaten, blackmail nor cow us, nothing is worst than what we are going through now.

      • Yakubu2012

It is unfortunate that religion, misinformation and illitracy has being our major problems in the North, if not, how did we all unfairly agreed to blame GEJ on Boko Haram issues/crisis when he wasn’t the creator or supporter nor financial supporter but the northern elites. They were little but ruthlessly unchecked during Obasanjo, ferociously armed youths under Mallam MUSA Yar’adua who tried in checkmating them. Now have become monsters with international Islamists and local backings. Let’s blame Jonathan for any other reasons not on Boko Haram that is our Northern defeat, shame and disgrace not Nigeria’s. The Police officers that were alleged to have killed the Boko Haram leader are still in court and that didn’t happen under Jonathan. Please blame or accuse him on any other ground not insurgency. Genuine Muslims are always honest.

      • Otile

Well, he swore by his dick that he was going to become the next president, but Imam crushed him in their primaries. Had he known he would accept the offer whit it was good. Now he lost both ways.

  • Okey

It is a shame that Kwankwaso is celebrating the road to anarchy is disintegration of our dear country. Quite a shame !

It has been reported that drivers refused to drive PDP vehicles from Kaduna to Kano for fear of being killed by opposition agents, and Kwankwaso is here jubiliating over this development. Now, if other sections of the country join in saying that Kwankwaso’s party men and women should not campaign in their domain, would we have a Nigeria? It is shame that this, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is the kind of leaders that the North produces and thrusts forward.

    • newvoice404

Okey stop lying to yourself Kwankwaso said they could not come to Kano to campaign because PDP/they are ashamed of what to tell the people as regards as what GEJ has achieved in that part of the country. You have started twisting your so called facts again.

      • Okey

But Kwankwaso clarified it here that PDP members cannot campaign in the North for fear of their lives; do you have any brain in your scull at all ?

        • newvoice404

Your skull is full of lies and deceit. Keep deceiving your people while APC matches on !

          • Okey

Marches on where ? Please, show your Primary and Secondaruy school certificates. No arm-twisting, propaganda, blackmail, threat, intimidation or even bomb-throwing can see an unqualified person be fielded as a presidential candidate any more in Nigeria.

          • newvoice404

Omg! Okey is still deceiving himself and his fellow bandits that a man who rose to become a general in the Nigerian army, having trained home and abroad across western continents in best military schools is still not qualified academically to be the president of Nigeria.Which the last time I checked the academic requirement is a high school certificate or equivalent. Assuming that Buhari does not have a high school certificate, Okey is deceitfully saying again that all the military trainings,examinations,war-fares ,life experiences ,former head of state duties, etc are still not equivalent to having a high school certificate? Honestly Okey and co should be ashamed that don’t have any other thing to sell GEJ other than to want to belittle a hard-working and incorruptible general, that is only undoing is the undying love for the his country and the masses.

          • Okey

We know that at that time people were withdrawn from class 2 or 3 to go and fill regional quota in the army without completing their Secondary School education. In that setting, one could rise to the post of a General, as one of the Bamaiyi brothers once thanked God for making him rise to the post of General with Primary 6 certificate.

But the requirement for the office of the President is clearly spelt out by the Constitution. Please, let your “messiah” show the world his certificates. It is as simple as that.

          • Save Nigeria Father

Frankly speaking GMB is a good man but I expect him to be humble enough and clear himself. Those gotten with gun is not enough for democracy. If moral and force alone is what it takes to be a leader he will get my vote.

  • newvoice404

”The governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said that members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state are afraid to promote President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s presidential candidate, terrified that the president has failed Nigerians”.

It means GEJ has no achievement to campaign on and therefore PDP is shying away from campaigning and not that Kano people are stopping them from campaigning. So let GEJ supporters stop slicing and dicing and misinterpreting the statement this is clear enough here.

Kwankwaso is a study in political rascality, with unquenchable penchant for bellicosity. A brooding Viper in solidarity an unthinking zealot. His thugs and other pro-Buhari northern supremacists are the dark horses behind the threat to Jonathan supporters in the north tagging them as infidels. But the biggest infidel is Buhari himself for refusing to help our country quell Boko Haram terrorism even when express confidence and appointed him among their negotiators. Sheik Ahmad Gumi is not left out of their messages, mischief and hate campaigns. APC, Deputy Minority Whip, Hon Kawu Sumaila from Kano described Kwankwaso as very intolerant and cult like politician. This particular conduct of the APC masquerades gave an eloquent testimony regarding their capacity for mischief, intimidation, intolerance, violence and propensity to instill fear among democratic peace loving Nigerians. Kwankwaso and his other conspirators are on our watch list. They are going to account for every soul kill, injured or property to be destroyed in the north.

Just like Islam where we have the sunnis and the shiites, christian religion also has gentile christian and Jewish christian. In the muslim world, true muslims are sunnis which follow strictly the teachings of Holy Quran and the prophet Muhammed. Sunnis are not likely to become terrorists. Also,Jewish christians, like Israelis, are true believers not likely to teach heresy to followers.

Shiites in muslims and Gentiles in christians are a huge problem to the world today. They are guilty of adulteration, falsehood and falsification of the Holy books to suit their selfish interests.

    • Datti

I am not sure you know what you are writing about; Paul was not a Gentile but a Jew, by being a Benjamite, he was in fact a Jew of a Jew. Apparently your knowledge of Christianity is limited and thanks to a Femi that gets his inspiration from the pit of hell. The devil is solely his master. He is very clever in manipulating words and verses to confuse nominal Christians. The context of the letter, context of the chapter and of course the context of the Bible matter very much in giving meanings to Bible passages – Femi makes nonsense of all these. I hope Femi believes the writing of Dr. Luke to Theophilus in the Acts of the Apostles. He should check to see that every miracle that the Holy Spirit used Peter to perform, there was a corresponding miracle performed by the Spirit through Paul. Paul couldn’t be fake, he gave very rich backgrounds to most teachings of Jesus the Christ. It is good to read Femi from time to time to see how the devil operates in the Church, no one should however take him seriously. He is definitely a son of perdition, a rable rouser, looking for people to take down to hell.

      • kola

I didn’t mention Paul or Benjamite before you launched your attack on me. I wasn’t referring to a Paul or a Femi Aribisala. I follow events and interview people(christian or muslim),and that informed my position and submission. Am a journalist, please. I was waiting to see a shiite muslim or gentile christian to contradict my earlier submission. Paul being a Benjamite or any other tribe is immaterial to me. Jesus asks us to believe him to earn eternal life—-John 3vs16,17….36. And that’s what matters to me.

  • Charlie

Why don’t you go and write your own gospel? Paul never claimed to be Devine and he was aware of his human limitations. He used this to encourage the early Christians. Without Paul there wouldn’t have been gentile Christians. Stop wasting your time on a dead man of God, instead it will be more beneficial to society if you would write to encourage in your own way.

  • Genusa

WITH THE AUTHORITY IN THOSE DIRECT WORDS OF JESUS, I ORDER FEMI ARIBISALA TO IMMEDIATELY STOP THIS MISLEADING ABOUT PAUL
    ———————————————————————————–
Dear Mr. Femi Aribisala, I beckon on you to please stop this thing you are doing. However you want to portray Paul as the anti christ, remember clearly how Saul became Paul, and I will advise you to please read what happened in Acts of the Apostles from Chapter 9. There you will see how Paul came to be a christain.

Paul never chose to become an apostle on his own volition or choice. God specifically called him. Paul was on a mission to persecute those that accepted Jesus when he became struck with blindness, and the power of God overcame and overwhelmed him. It was that singular moment of encounter with Jesus on the way to Damascus that became the turning point in Paul’s evil life.

God specifically chose Paul to work for Him. When Paul was still blind after the encounter, the Lord appeared separately to both Paul and a disciple name Annanias, and gave them specific instructions. I will refresh your memory about the correspondence between the Lord and Paul, and between the Lord and Annaias, so you can see clearly that Paul cannot be the false disciple or the anti-christ you have tried to make him look.

JESUS: Saul, Saul why do you persecute me?

    Saul: Who are you Lord?

JESUS: I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you MUST do.

Femi, note here that Jesus in His statement stressed on what Paul MUST do.

After that Jesus appeared to Annanias:

    JESUS: Annanais!

    Annanais: Yes, Lord

JESUS: Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.

Annanias: Lord, I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.

JESUS: Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him HOW MUCH HE MUST SUFFER FOR MY NAME.

After this encounter, Paul did his very best to spread the gospel to many nations. He wrote a good numbers of the books that make up the New Testament part of the bible, that we all read and quote from today in our various churches.

Femi Aribisala, you have read the specific words that came from our Lord Jesus Christ that He chose Paul to work for Him, as I presented in the communication above.

Therefore, with the authority in those direct words that came from our Lord JESUS, I order you Femi Aribisala to henceforth stop all you your erroneous messages about Paul. STOP NOW!

    2 Peter 3:15-1

15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as
also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which
are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
