Jonathan is best presidential candidate for Nigeria now — PDP National Secretary

Wale Oladipo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan is the best candidate for Nigeria in 2015 general elections.

Mr. Oladipo made the statement during the celebration of his 55th birthday in Ile-Ife, Osun, on Thursday.

He said that the citizens would want the continuation of Nigeria’s transformation under President Jonathan, saying that PDP would be victorious in the February polls.

According to him, former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, who is the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, cannot bring about any change, compared to Mr. Jonathan who is democratic.

The PDP national secretary, who noted that the ceremony was not meant for merry-making alone, said that the campaign for the re-election of Mr. Jonathan’s for a second term had begun in earnest.

Mr. Oladipo said that Mr. Buhari had ruled Nigeria country with iron fist, used decrees at will, while the press were gagged.

He appealed to the people to shine their eyes and cast their votes wisely during the general elections.

Mr. Oladipo said that President Jonathan has done well in health, agriculture, education, manufacturing of motor car in Nigeria and other visible projects.

He said the re-election of President Jonathan would benefit all and sundry in terms of people-oriented policies and programmes.

…. Iron fist is exactly what NIGERIA need. How do you stop corruption, Boko boys aame other social vices without iron fist ? Surely Jonathan is using soft fist that is why the country is in chores. Jonathan is too soft to solve Nigeria problem.

    • Chris1408

Jonathan is too daft to solve any problem.

      • amazing2012

…. You are Obsoletely right, he is too weak to even arrest street thugs !

        • ebiloma emmanuel

because he is quiet, that does not mean that he jonathan is weak to lead nigeria

    • tundemash

agree with u 100%. Nigeria does not need a d@ft President who says corruption is mere stealing . We need a President who would push for life jail or death sentence for looters !

This is free campaign for in-coming President Buhari. PDP are unwittingly campaigning for Buhari now !
The more PDP speaks, the more they sink into the hole they have dug for themselves. Mr f00lish Oladapo, it is that iron fist Nigeria needs at this moment !

    • Oleku

I find it curiously hypocritical that those who fault Alams pardon are able to promte Buhari who claims that Abacha is not fraudulent. Alams did time for whatever he did..but the entire Western World is still returning evidence of Abacha corruption

      • I Hate Sycophant Truly

Yes he could say so but your president still confirm that and gave him centenary award. So, who should we blame the more? The person that say or the person that do? Hypocrite is your name.

  • kunle

and this pdp secretary is said to also be a professor ??????? no wonder nigerian universities are producing more illiterates.i agree with you all that nigeria needs iron fist now to get out of the cycle of corruption, infrastrure deficit and underdevelopment

    • Onike24

Google his name, not ONE peer reviewed article ! Professor ko….

      • D1

….Prostitute ni! I can’t help but conclude for you Onike24. Keep the fire burning!

  • Oleku

Imam Buhari can never be called a democratic reformer.
only a youngstar who is below 36 can compare whatever he or she is exoerincing now to what Nigerians suffered under Buhari… is like freed slaves longing to go back to slavery.
Soyinka is quite right…many Nigerians are now longing for the onions and garlic of Egypt…the Jews are crying to go back to Egypt

So it is Buhari that we should believe?
We do remeber all the people locked up by Rafindadi under Buhari for Fela…but Rafindadi himself had over 1miilion pounds in forex accounts when IBB took over

    • PROF

Buhari will not win the entire north , the xtains in the north will not support him ,and the west will change their mind at the ballot box as usual ,then Buhari will call his Followers to kill coppers and xtains again.

      • Jika

Christians like Audu Ogbe who are mobilizing fellow Christians in the North to raise funds for Buhari will not vote for Buhari! !!!.Fanning embers of religious sentiments is surely not the best way to campaign for Jonathan. In any case if you have evidence that Buhari had called on his supporters to kill Corpers, please make it available to relevant security agencies to act on it.I am sure it is not too late. For a ‘PROF’, i humbly submit that your post is rather pedestrian and divisive.Peace.

        • PROF

Jika my friend , a lot of xtains have been displaced all in the name of bokoharm, northern xtains have been decimated cos of their support for gej ,do you think audu ogbe speaks for nothern xtains. They are quiet but are not stopid .

  • Leslie

Mr Oladipo, thank you.But that iron fist,we need it.It’s obvious you know nothing about present day Nigeria.

  • samuel

Mr Oladipo, you’re only thinking more about your next corrupt money to organise your next “Awambe party” where you will like to spread out your money as if you earns them by your own sweat, but you stole them through corruption that President ‘Badluck’ Jonathan allows you freely to steal them, and whilst millions of ordinary Nigerians are helpless with suffering from hunger, unemployment and penniless. President ‘Badluck’ Jonathan never value one single vote casted for him in 2011, becuase where he came from in Niger Delta, people there do not vote but a winner is declared under the barrel of the hired thugs’ guns or the highest bidder’s money bags. That’s why the president ever believed that his 2011 election wining was base only like what obtained in the Niger Delta election thieving method. This is the true reality about our “Dr Do Nothing” corrupts president. Instead of his soldiers getting rid of evils Boko Haram secs, they were busy being condemned and crucify daily to death or being secretly dismissed out of military service for only asking for modern fighting weapons or equipment, but all becuase our President ‘Badluck’ kept all the military budget money for his selfest aim to return back to Aso Rock again compaign for 2015.

  • Olamide

Mr Oladipo……..saying nonsense since 1914…….Buhari would surely win this election and your cohorts shall live to witness the change we are craving for…Long Live Nigeria Long Live APC

Yes Transformation is here…. TRANSFORMATION is a total positive affirmation, transformation is a trend. Transformation is a 100 percent positive change. Transformation is a rare and an uncommon change. For Transformation to happen, you must be in a state of competence. Transformation indicates progression. Buhari stands for CHANGE whereas Jonathan stands for TRANSFORMATION. Nigerians please be wise and vote for continuous transformation because we can’t afford to change again. God bless GEJ. God bless Nigeria. #GEJ4NIJA………. NO2BUHARI
