Amaechi not funding APC, party says

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected claims that the state governor, Chibuike Amaechi, is the financing the party at the national level.

The Chairman of the APC in Rivers State, Davies Ikanya, who stated this in a statement on Monday, said the state did not have the kind of money Mr. Amaechi is said to have spent running the party.

Mr. Amaechi has been accused of spending billions of naira on the party in the hope that he would be named the running mate to its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

Critics say his appointment as the Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, was merely to compensate him for the huge money he allegedly spent.

The governor has denied the claim.

The APC Rivers State chapter said as has been explained by Mr. Amaechi recently, the APC was too big to be funded from the purse of the Rivers State Government.

“Rivers is not the richest State in either the country or the APC. It is not, for example, anywhere as rich as Lagos, which is an APC State and very much committed to the progress of the party. The truth is that no single State or individual is funding APC; the party is funded by all its committed members,” the party said.

“This is a rumour without foundation and a figment of the imagination of those who invented it. It is based on mere suspicion because of the key role that Governor Amaechi has been playing in repositioning APC to salvage Nigeria from the savage grip of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The party said much of the money which people believe that the state government has “had been taken away by the hostile PDP-controlled Federal Government through a combination of declining Federal allocation and the ceding of some of our oil wells to the neighbouring Abia and President Goodluck Jonathan’s home State, Bayelsa.”

It stated that the reason Rivers State had witnessed unprecedented development in the past seven years was not because of having too much money but because of the ingenuity of the Amaechi-led administration.

“We therefore plead with the idle minds spreading this unholy rumour of his funding APC with Rivers State money to find something better to do with their time,” it stated.

The party congratulated Mr. Amaechi for putting smiles on the faces of civil servants in the state by paying their December salary before Christmas, “thereby shaming detractors who thought that he would not be able to pay due to the economic emasculation of the State by the PDP-led federal Government.”

What other explanation would you have expected from this staunch APC backer? The recklessness with which Amaechi has singled out Rivers State as the only opposition state in the South South with the strongest support for northern dominated political party has led credence to whatever accusation leveled against it. Within the past two days Rivers State has been struggling to defend a spate of accusation of such financial support for the Janjaweed party. Nigerians are not in any way fooled by such unsupported explanations but everyone knows that Amaechi will account for all the mess when the state is rescued from the APC in February 2015.

  • Otile

Of course the janjaweed party will never admit receiving anything from the South. They have not admitted that oil from SE SS is feeding them, how can they admit receiving funds from Rauf? The Islamic party will give the impression that Imam Buhari their leader is poor and does not need any money for his campaigns, that their member are voluntarily working for him for patriotic reasons. I really hate Islamic taqiyya.

    • Spoken word

      Very lame.

  • Alcindo Satori

Diamond is not a woman’s best friend?! Cry me a river APC!!

  • Dr. Kay

PDP janjaweeds oya now common keep on arguing amongst yourselves , the article is self explanatory , anyone with contrary facts should show them or forever hold your peace!

  • favourtalk

PDP should just wake up and believe in the change that is going to happen. We are all nigerians and no propaganda ljke this should be flying around, we need change and cheap talk and irresponsible actions should be neglected right now.amaechi is not the only governor in APC and neither is he the only governor in south south. We need change right now more than before

My response to this your submission sir is, please study these two passages from Apostle Peter in the Holy Bible:
    I. 2 Peter 1: 20 – 21
    II. 2 Peter 3: 15 – 18
    Blessings!

    • Abraham Adebayo Ewetumo

Tee@….there is no need 2 point any other Scriptures to Femi Aribisala, he has blocked his ears & closed his eyes 2 All Bible Verses that promises a RAPTURE of Believers…No need also 2wish him “Blessings”…ewesta707

      • Tee

Sir, the Bible tells me that believer’s words must be seasoned with salt. Always follow the Lord’s teachings no matter the provocation.
        I wish you well, sir.

  • Curseless

You just quoted the same passage I was trying to give Aribisala. The whole Bible including the one the man is quoting are written under divine inspiration and God is not man that He will lie. My believe is that Aribisala understood the letters of the scripture but not the spirit of the scripture.and according to 2 Corinthians 3:6, the letter killeth, but the spirit gives life

  • NoSpinEd

Mr Aribisala, the great Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the epistles in the New Testament that we hold dear, who the Lord Jesus himself called “a chosen vessel to me” to preach the word to us gentiles and who the Apostle Peter freely quoted and called “the beloved Apostle Paul” is a false prophet and you are not?

    • Watch man

From all this man’s (Aribisala’s) writings and opinions against the Bible, public and Buhari, you could see a man who is already frustrated. The only thing that makes him happy is attention-seeking through falsehood and irresponsible controversies. I even understand that one of the reasons he is attacking Buhari so furiously is because he felt “victimised” by his administration during the military era. His has advanced to a case that really need mental evaluation by medical professionals. It’s really a pity.

  • Watch man

This guy is a Bible twister and he does so whenever and howsoever it suits him. I have tried to counter his fallacy against God’s Word elsewhere using the same scriptures he misinterpreted. In fact, what he is doing is necessary to confirm that the Word of God is true when it says that false prophets shall arise in the last days. He is also lucky that Christianity is not like some other religion wherein they would have called for his head for committing blasphemy. Nevertheless, just as Judas Iscariot and Bar-Jesus expired, he would also expire with his contraband goods that he has been dishing out to the people by way of distorting, twisting and misinterpreting the Bible. Having said the above, let me present him with the words of Jesus on the issue of His coming again.

First, Femi should not have used the word “rapture” in the first place because that word does not exist in the Authorized Version of the Bible. What the Bible teaches is that Jesus Christ will come again; the first time He came was for the redemptive work that led to His death, burial and resurrection. The Bible says:

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (Jn.14:1-3)

Jesus clearly said,”I will come again”. If Mr Femi fails to realize this truth then he should be pitied. To corroborate what Jesus said, the angelic testimony in Acts1:10-11 is worthy of note:

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

The angelic visitors were very clear. They said, “this same Jesus,” meaning the same Jesus that was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, stayed with His disciples for 40 days and went up to heaven is the same Jesus that would come again; it is the same Jesus that promised His disciples that He is coming again that these Angels were talking about. He ascended into heaven and while He was going into heaven, the word came that “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as he have seen him go into heaven”. Jesus ascended into heaven from Mt. Olives and would come back on the same mount the same way He went up.

When will He come? Nobody knows. It is written:

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” (Matt.25:13)

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matt.24:42-44)

Will Jesus come again? Yes, He said so. When will that be? No one knows, because He said so. Are there things that would happen that would serve as signs to show that His coming is near? Yes there are signs because He said so; one of the places recorded in the Bible wherein He said so is in Matt.24:3-14. It says:

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tellus, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

There is no time nor space to go beyond this to look into what the Bible said about tribulation, antichrist reign, and the rest of them. The above is to let Mr. Femi know that Jesus will come again, receive His people and there are signs that would indicate His coming, but the hour knows no one.

  • Israel

    Sir,

I have read some of your articles which I agree
with, but there are some which I totally disagree with & this is one of
    them.

    In John 14 V1- , the Bible
    says:

    “ 1 Do not let your heart be troubled;

    believe
    in YAHWEH, and believe in

    Me.

2 There are many rooms in my

    Father’s
house, and if not I would have

    told
you so. For I go to prepare a place

    for
    you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for

    you,
I am coming again1 and will

    receive
you to Myself, that where I am

    you
    may be also.”

    Where is the Father’s house
that Yahshua The Messiah promised to
    take us if not heaven?

    Please note that before the
wicked/unbelieving ones were destroyed in the days of Noah, YAHWEH took the righteous ones to a place of safety.
    Genesis 7 tells us:

13 In this same day Noah and Shem

    and
Ham and Japheth, the sons of

    Noah,
and Noah’s wife, and the three

    wives
of his sons with them, went into

    the
    ark;

14 they, and every animal according

    to
its kind, and every beast according to

    its
kind, and every creeping thing that

    creeps
on the earth according to its

    kind;
and every fowl according to its

    kind,
    every bird of every wing.

15 And they went in to Noah into the

    ark,
two and two of all flesh, in which is

    the
    breath of life.

16 And those going in went in male

    and
female of all flesh, as Elohim had

    commanded
    him. And YAHWEH shut

    the door behind him.

17 And the flood was on the earth

    forty
    days. And the waters increased,

    and
bore up the ark, and it was lifted up

    above
    the earth.

    Also
note that before YAHWEH destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah,
He took Lot and his family out into a place of safety. In the same way, Yahshua
The Messiah will take his saints out into the place of safety (heaven) before
the great tribulation comes upon the whole world. The saints who believe and
are prepared for Him will not go through the great tribulation except those who
are not prepared and those who do not believe. That event is popularly called
rapture, but some of us call it translation based on Heb 11v5.

    Concerning
the scriptures you quoted i.e Matthew 13:41-48, this is the interpretation: Yahshua
The Messiah will return to this earth physically with His
saints & angels after the great tribulation. Rev 19v11 21, Jude v14. The
purpose of His coming is to establish the Messianic kingdom popularly called
the millennial kingdom (Rev 19v11 21, Rev 20v1 &2). However the wicked ones,
some of whom will survive till that time, will not partake of that kingdom.
Hence, Yahshua will garther them & cast them into the furnace of fire,
where there will be weeping & gnashing of teeth. Then He will reign with the righteous over the
    earth.

    At
this point, I humbly urge you to reconsider your position.

    SHALOM
    ALEICHEM.

Mr Aribisala may be right after all. My late grandma once told me how a few people who died “untimely” at some time still came back to this material to fulfill and use their unfulfilled purpose and unused time respectively. I always ask myself when Jesus christ will truly descend to the world to harvest and take home the saints and his believers. Where do spirits of the dead go? My conclusion is,we have as many spirits (humans without casing bodies) in the spirit world as we have humans(spirits in bodies) on Earth. The concept of religious beliefs may be force after all. God may have used it to decieve this generation like he lied to Adam and Eve from the start concerning how the eating of a fruit will bring them death. But eventually, the snake told the duo the truth, and they did eat the fruit;and they never truly died like God had lied to them. God is over-rated; God ,who couldn’t stop the killings by Boko Haram despite all the adeboye, oritsejafor, oyedepo, olukoya and other God-marketers’ prayers in Jerusalam and Nigeria, is over-rated.

God is extremely lazy if you take a close look at the method he used to create everything and everyone. He only speaks. God is so egocentric;he asks for praise at the slightest opportunity as if he will die without praise and worship from humans.

The only person I see in the whole Christendom today that understands the Bible is Femi Aribisala. It’s unfortunate that people passionately detest the truth. Imagine Paul saying if you are circumcised, you have nothing to do with Christ (Galatia 5:1-5) when Christ was indeed circumcised on the eighth day (Luke 2:22). Abraham was circumcised as a covenant between him and God. Same for his son. Jesus warns the disciples not to think that he has come to abolish the laws and the prophet but he has come to confirm….but Paul, in his teachings, taught that you live under a curse if you obey the laws. The list is endless. He contradicted everything Jesus preached.

  • ultrix

Clearly FEMI has ZERO understanding of the scriptures: Jesus said in John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” Did Paul also wrote the book of Revelation which also talks about rapture. FEMI ARIBISALA is not a christian.
