APC cloning voter cards, PDP insists

Olisa Metuh, PDP National Publicity Secretary.

At the weekend, the Directorate of State Security, DSS, made a shocking discovery to the effect that the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, has been engaged in the cloning of Permanent Voters Card, PVC, and utilizing technologies to hack into INEC’s data base to compromise the 2015 general elections.

This discovery at the APC office in Lagos is a clear confirmation of our stand, and fears by well-meaning Nigerians of APC’s criminal desperation, lust for power, plot to cause confusion and truncate our democracy.

Indeed, Nigerians now know on what strength the APC, a party that clearly lacks genuine followership among the citizens, has been boasting that they will emerge victorious in the 2015 general elections and threatening to form a parallel government if they lose.

Since its formation, the APC has been accusing everyone including INEC and security agencies of working to rig the 2015 elections in favour of the PDP. Little did Nigerians realize that such were smokescreens designed to divert attention from their heinous and unpatriotic plots.

We believe that the APC, in its desperate attempt to grab power by all means, has already established cloning and hacking centers in all the 36 states of the federation to actualize their dubious machination to subvert the will of the people.

We insist that the cloning of INEC PVCs is criminal and strikes at the very heart of our electoral process. We share the fear of a majority of Nigerians that the APC may have already started cloning ballot papers and other election documents.

It is in this regard that we call on all Nigerians and lovers of democracy across the world to note the desperation of the APC. Our citizens must therefore remain vigilant and resist any attempt by the APC to steal their mandate.

We also call on security agencies to fully investigate this atrocious cloning and ensure that whoever is found culpable faces the full weight of the law.

This development also places an additional burden on INEC, which must now work to prove that it is not complicit in this heinous crime against the Nigerian state and its people.

Nigerians have made huge sacrifices for the democracy we enjoy today and we cannot afford to surrender it on the altar of blind ambition and narrow interest of the APC.

Signed:

Olisa Metuh
National Publicity Secretary

The PDP has become the police.Hmmm!

  • the truth

Now we see. In other to gain power every dubious means must be used. Now who in his right senses would support such cowardly and undemocratic act. watching the scenes on channel’s tv yesterday made me ask myself a question, why would apc go this far to get power at all cost? i am still waiting for lai mohammed’s response.

    • Tomisin

So PDP is now DSS why can’t they allow DSS to finish their investigation first and show all Nigerian the evidence

      • the truth

is there any where in this write up where pdp takes the position of dss. Do you now turn a blind eye to the crime that was taking place in that building. Think about what is been done in other cities.

  • Dumbo

Metuh the shameless liar. Come 2015 you shall be cooling your heels in jail next door to your master.

    • Ide4u

Nigerians do not love the kind of democracy practiced by PDPigs

  • Ijeuwa

How does this Olisa-Mumu know that APC was cloning PVC cards? They’re just acting on rumors. Now how come the PDP has now become the DSS? Has the DSS shown Nigerians any shred of evidence, not to talk of proof, that they actually found cloned PVC cards in the office they raided? This is the same DSS that accused the APC of bribing an electoral officer in the August Osun state governorship election. Three months later, they’re yet to show us the evidence or the electoral officer that was bribed. Shame on DSS, shame on PDP. Your all shameless liars. Your all in for a rude awakening sooner than later.

    • Wähala

      Smoking Joe…
check you last sentence and edit for correctness…

      • Ijeuwa

        Thanks. Just saw it. Done!

  • Mosaku 147

Am sure Marylyn has confirmed privately to Metuh what her operatives discovered in the building. Yeye dey smell!! Once again, the SSS have been floored and shamed by the opposition.the person they hired to plant the ‘voter cards’ inside the office had a last minute change of heart.
Their plan was to find the cards there and straight away arrest the national leader of the APC,it’s secretary, and it’s consultant on strategy. Let what Ameachi said be in the minds of all; “we will form our own government” then wait for the heavens to fall.

    • Nwa Aba {Biafran}

Boko haram have already formed your Caliphate
it left for you to select Buhari as your King

  • TRUTH MASTER

This statement is puerile and most irresponsible. Low life guys like Metuh can crash this democracy, if care is not taken. He should be put on a leash fast

  • Stephanie

Olisa Metuh the liar! If he isn’t calling APC Janjaweed, he is saying they are cloning PVCs. The PDP is pure evil, filled with evil lot, and that’s exactly why that party has to be kicked out by all means possible. If it isn’t Reno Omokri posing as Wendall Simlim, then it’s Olisa Metuh lying every chance he gets.

  • Uz

Desperate Commandos!!! APC must not be allowed to ruin this country and the hope of the youth.

  • Gbaa-m Okpana-eze

I do not know why some brainwashed seniles would want us to believe Liar Mohammed over Olisa Metuh. Well, my standard prayer these days has now been: MAY APC NEVER RULE NIGERIA.

    • antonym

very soon… aga agba gi okpa na afo.

      • Gbaa-m Okpana-eze

Na eze ka m si gbaa m okpa. Onye gbaa m okpa na afo, kitikpa agbawaa ya anya.

  • Richard

When did Olisa Metuh become the spokes person for the security agents. I believe the raid was conducted by the security agents, so the onus is on them to make public their findings. Why should PDP do the job on behalf of the security agents.

    • Tonnero

My brother, PDP and the security agencies are now one and the same. GEJ does not know there is a difference between the government and the party. The sad misfortune of Nigeria is that those who fight for independence and democracy and know what to do with it never get the job. From Tafawa Balewa to Goodluck Jonathan, these are guys who get the job serendipitously. They are usually not prepared for it, do not understand the philosophy behind it and do not know what to do when they get it.

    • Smith Scott

Is talking about it on how it affects his party. DSS have already spoken. If a house burns, when the fire brigades are making statement, you don’t expect the landlord that is affected to make statement?

  • Edmond Israel-Ayide

I believe, without any form of doubt that you and the likes of Olisa are the blind ones. Where in ANY of the report on prints, internet, radio or tv was it reported or shown that there’re any “cloned” voters card? The DSS spokes person claimed that there was no signage to show that the building belongs to APC, but contrary to that, (those of us that can see) we saw not 1 APC banner, but 2 banners. Was there any cloned voters card? NO. Only APC membership forms that were being entered for record purpose.
Must we be lawless in all we do in dis country? Even the security agencies that are meant to protect the law are the weapon being used to perpetrate lawless acts. Its a shame.
As far as I’m concerned, PDP is scared of APC, and they’re just out to portray them as bad to d shallow minded ones like this so-called “the truth”. They seem even worse than APC. They claim APC is d one behind BH, but yet Jonathan and his goons are yet to list and prosecute anyone linked to BH. As for me, GEJ knows they’re his ppl, and his hands are tied as usual.

  • Joe igbokwe

DSS IS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY AND THEY WILL FAIL. DSS IS THE PROPERTY OF NIGERIANS AND NOT THAT OF PDP. NOW IF DSS THINKS THAT THEY ARE FOR PDP , I HOPE THEY KNOW THE IMPLICATION WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN. A PRESIDENT DISBANDED THE WHLOE POLICE FORCE IN UKRAINE FIR CORRUPTION AND I KNOW IT IS POSSIBLE HERE .THE PARTISANSHIP OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN NIGERIA IS FRIGHTENING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FOR THE COMMOWEALTH. UNTIL DSS PROVES BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBTS THAT APC IS CLONING PVCs IN LAGOS ,THE WORLD WILL NOT TAKE THEM SERIOUS. DSS HAS DEMONSTRATED IN ACTIONS AND DEEDS THAT IT IS NOT FOR DEMOCRACY BUT FOR DICTATORSHIP IN NIGERIA.

  • sanetalk

Just how low will these PDP people go to remain in power, Methu must really have been emboldened by tolerance level of Nigerians to spew this nonsense. The DSS, partisan as they have shown, have not come out with the results of their so called investigations but Methu is here telling the whole world this fairy tale. Definitely they are both working in cahoots and have made a mess of whatever the DSS will come out with.

  • Tiiye

Thank you for this important writing. the rate at which people gossip in religious houses; and speak against Divine constituted authority is alarming! There is a demonic spirit behind gossip. It could be Appolyon.

    • lovejoy

      @Tilye
The reason why there’s gossip against “Divine constituted authority” espeacially in Nigeria is that there’s never been honest or open in anything they do. Especially in terms of finance and you see them driving affluent cars and properties. Did this money spent descend from Heaven? once that is open to everyone I believe gossiping will stop and be curtailed.

  • These are all such great points! I agree confrontation is important!

  • Mihaela Echols

yes great points. I think even ourselves we need to keep things private. great post.

  • Great post! Thanks for the helpful reminders about how to avoid gossip, especially the notion of not sharing too much information. Man, we all need to hear that!

  • This is something that must be addressed within the church. It’s so easy to let “girl talk” slide and excuse it instead of calling it out for what it is: gossip. I’ve seen so many situations where what seemed like harmless sharing of news (good/bad) turned into something ugly because that information should have been kept private. Good reminder!

  • Jen N Rick Buczynski

Great practical biblical advice! As time goes on, this topic gets more notice in the church. We had a situation a few weeks ago that was brought to the Light and the involved parties were encouraged to speak to one another instead of speaking quietly behind each other’s backs. (I go to a small house church.)

  • Brianna

Perfect advice. There is much truth in your words here.:)

  • What great strategies for avoiding gossip. I especially like your thoughts on limiting the information that we share. If we are thoughtful about whom we pour our hearts out to–and to what conversions we join in–gossip may not have the opportunity to start in the first place.

  • chioma

    Brilliant write-up!
