Synagogue building collapse likely caused by ‘strange aircraft’ –Police investigator

Synagogue Building collapse

The five-storey building belonging to the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, which collapsed in September, killing 115 people, may have been destroyed by a strange aircraft which flew over it shortly before the incident, a police investigator told a coroner inquest Wednesday.

The collapse may also have been caused by sabotage, or structural failure, the investigator claimed.

Standing as witness, the head of homicide section at the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID, Panti, Olushola Agoyi, said the three factors, suggested by the founder of the church, T.B. Joshua, and the Lagos State government, were also what the police found as likely causes for the collapse.

“In my recommendations, three parameters might be responsible for the collapse. Internal sabotage, strange aircraft, structural and civil aspect of the building,” Mr. Agoyi said.

Mr. Agoyi said in the course of his investigation, he recorded statements from 34 persons including Nigerians, Togolese and South Africans.

“I recorded statement from 34 witnesses and I’m aware that the aircraft caused panic,” Mr. Agoyi said, acknowledging that his investigation remained open.

The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Mr. Joshua, blames the building collapse on a strange aircraft and attack by extremist group Boko Haram, while the Lagos State government says the building was structurally defective.

‎The police investigator, Mr. Agoyi, said the way the building came down “was just like that of a controlled demolition and there were some smoke like dust that came out”.

Mr. Agoyi recommended that soil and particles which he described as “smoke-like dust” should be treated as exhibits and examined by foreign experts.

“If experts analyse all these, it could be as a result of controlled demolition and I recommended that these mentioned exhibits should be tested by foreign experts”.

According to the police investigation, an aircraft which flew over the building shortly before the collapse, belonged to the Nigerian Airforce and was on a circuit training mission.

The coroner inquest will continue it inquest tomorrow, November 20.

If what we saw is true the way that building came down was highly suspicious.

“Forieng experts” useless police, must the expert be a foriener. Let the national airspace management agency tell us which aircraft flys over the building or the agency just be crapped, bcos I see no reason for a country in 21st centuary to be not aware of the aircrafts that fly its skys.

Let examine the three theories, structural foundation( which is what Lagos claimed) and the panic which caused vibration of the building due to the aircraft motion. But what ever that shakes a building which is structurally solid will not make it to collapse. It is not a sand house, if TB J believes is BH that’s used an aircraft then who give them aircraft to fly up to Lagos ? Is it government that give BH a plane ? Who is their pilot ? Where was he trained and by who ?
Control demolition ? By who and how ? For a control demolition to work in a building, the experts most get access to the pillars of the building and plant the dynamite.
Please concentrate on theory of weak structural foundation. When the quality of the sand use in building is not tested, the mixture of cement might not be measured accurately. This means, once the building is carrying unnecessary weight and the plaster crack which is usually made strong by substandard Engineers there is tendency to collapse at a slightest vibration. But the blame should not on the agent of the vibration but lack of quality of the building materials used. For instance: you can not say that because of a corrupt and substandard materials and quack engineers that aircraft should fly low ! The problem is yours not aviation !

Ascari don come! After all your investigations, all you can offer is to suggest 3 theories and recommendations for foreign experts involvement and you work in the criminal division! What else can you expect from the police. Finding out from the airports authorities about the so-called hovering aircraft is beyond your scope, ba? Incompetent fools!

What a tragedy, how do people think they can do this and get away with it the laws of life state that such will come back to haunt you. 116 people are dead and the police have joined as accomplices offering half baked theories, no concrete evidence just speculation using words like “might” and telling people to call foreign experts in short you are telling everyone you don not want the case to be solved and if they are looking for solutions they should go overseas.

The prime suspect are APC. Synagogue is a target for Muslim-terrorists. Non-Muslims are guilty for rejecting Islam, thus targeted for destruction. Non-Muslims should vote wisely in the forthcoming election. Vote to abolish sharia. Never vote for Sharia Advocates like Jihadist Buhari or APC Jihadist party. A vote for Buhari is a vote to kill non-Muslims.

This is poor investigative work. How can you base your investigative finding on what people suggest instead of passing the statement through empirical test of possibilities. What are the tests. First the issue of Strange Aircraft. Can an Air craft over flying a building without directly colliding with it bring down a building? If so what is the force required for the building to come down and the structural integrity that could have resisted or withstood this happening? The professionals not particularly the police but structural engineers would attempt an answer to this. Apart from the likelihood of a mysterious aircraft what else can cause a building to collapse, old age, poor materials used for construction or failure to follow laid down procedure and using required material, including overload? Who can give an insight to this? Certainly not the police but SON assessing materials used, Engineers looking at the structural integrity and the State building approving department or ministry. The investigator apart from taking statements from witnesses on the ground who saw the collapse and events that led to it would using their statement consult with the professionals to arrive at some near conclusions. Therefore, I find the conclusion drawn here as very poor.
