Tinubu has turned Lagos to his ATM — Obanikoro

A gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State, and former minister, Musiliu Obanikoro, has accused a former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, of turning the state to his personal ATM (Automated Teller Machine), where he draws state funds for his personal needs.

Mr. Obanikoro, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, made the claim while speaking to members of his K’oro Nation’ group on Tuesday in Lagos.

‎“For almost 16 years, one man has turned all Lagosians to his ATM, how long can we continue to accept that,” he said.

He also said the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge, which he ranked as the most expensive in world, is a fraud.

“Fashola’s Lekki to Ikoyi Bridge is the most expensive bridge in the world. The Lekki to Ikoyi Bridge was christened ‘Cable Bridge’, there is nothing cable about that bridge and ‎the christening of the bridge ‘cable’ is a 419 act in itself”, he said.

The former minister of state for defence urged Lagosians to ask questions about policies and activities of the state government.

“Lagosians don’t ask questions, those who ask get abused,” Mr. Obanikoro said.

P.D.P HAS TURNED NIGERIA TO TOTAL WRECKAGE. Tinubu is a man we love in Lagos. His governors are performing

    • emmanuel

Wale must be from Isale Eko. Tinubu partitioned Lagos for you to collect Motor Park and Island Parking ticket (your only benefot in modern day Lagos) to divert your attention while he brings Yorubas from other states to work for him, while he steals everything.

      Lovo koo Love ni.

      Tinubu – Winner takes all.

  • Garden-City Boy

Tinubu over to you. Do you bebefit from toll collected at the bridge or don’t you. Remember that Obanikoro will winn the Lagos state governorship poll, and when that happens…. it will be self-exile or jail. You better own up now and recant your sins and ship out of the JANJAWEED party. That’s the only way you can save your thin, rumpled neck.

    • Dr. Kay

You are not qualified to ask the question ,you should have lay a petition at EFCC ,they will do it on your behalf , whilst we are at it ask Dumbo and Frogeyed thief where is the $20billion.

  • Butan shai

Obamikoro……..if Tinubu has turned Lagos to his ATM……….what has Jonathan turn Nigeria to???????????

  • Dr. Kay

At least he was able to build a bridge unlike Dumbo that promised to build second Niger bridge 4years ago , where is the bridge now ,I wonder? To just come out and open your big lips and say a bridge is the most expensive in the world is another matter Mr. Obanikoro, don’t you think by giving us comparison price wise will make your bad belle posturing just hot air , tell us what your government has done , if Tinubu has turned Lagos into his ATM ,I am wondering what EFCC is all about?

  • Buhari/Okorocha for President

Tinubu is our man anytime any day….. go and ask your oga about our missing $20B

  • djay

If at all Asiwaju has turned lagos to his atm it’s nothing compared to what pdp had stolen in a year not 15 yrs.

  • bikky

Koro ,well am very sorry for that and I don’t think there is anything we can do for now,my advise for you is that you tell Lagosians to either build or manufacture your own ATM,may be you install your own towards Apapa or Badagry sides and you leave Tinubu for Island,it is a candid advise o bro.

In other words, by sheer fraud, Raji Fashola paid Bola Tinubu 25 years profit upfront,
without any further work. A lien was then imposed on Lagos state allocation
of federal revenue for the next three [3] years to pay for this 80 billion Naira debt,
by all Lagos residents. This transaction must count as the worst fraud ever
in Yoruba history since Nigeria became independent on October 1, 1960.

In fact, On May 21st, 2014, the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Ayodeji Gbeleyi,
confirmed that Lagos state debts, as at May 2014, stood at N435 billion – including N275 billion
in bonds – equivalent to 2.7 billion United States dollars.

Now, discounting monthly interest rates on the commercial portion of this debt, the gross Lagos’
debt is now equal to all of the expected revenue allocation to Lagos in the next two and half years,
      currently standing at $3.7 billion, without equivalent benefits on the ground;
to show for it – dollar for dollar.

      • bikky

If you have reasonable papers and evidence we can contact EFCC and table our case,so make a move not agitation.

    • By popular demand

Lagos state government has earned $40 billion in revenues between 1999 and now.
The money – less salary and running expenses – was partly shared between Bola Tinubu,
and Raji Fashola under corporate guise in the worst scam ever in modern Yoruba history.

Lagos state last year floated a loan bond of about 80 billion Naira and got public investors
to subscribe for repayment with interest but once the bond was fully subscribed, Raji Fashola
took 40% of that money – about 35 billion Naira or so – and handed it over in cash to Bola Tinubu,
      via a bogus corporate front.

This patently corrupt deal was ostensibly to buy back Lagos state ‘concession rights’ on the Lekki
tolled Expressway, according to Raji Fashola. But what the corrupt and clever by half Raji Fashola
did not say is that the land at issue belongs to Lagos state and was never sold to Bola Tinubu’s
company in the first place. Or did Bola Tinubu’s company invest 35 billion Naira developing the road.

  • Biodun Savage

Lagosians are arrogant in ignorance – shunned by the rest of the world as pitiable fools.
Because they generally lack honesty they don’t feel repulsed being governed by thieves.
And they don’t ask questions; so, they remain lacking in reasoning ability on public affairs.
Little wonder that Lagos is rated by global economists as third [3rd] worst city in the world.

      • Janehiro

        @ Biodun:

It’s hard to swallow but you’ve stated the stark truth. I was myself very sad the other day.

I saw a procession of 13 APC governorship aspirants of marching to Bola Tinubu’s private residence to take instructions. I wept for my country. None of those morally useless aspirants can claim ignorance. Each one knows that Bola Tinubu is a plea-bargained drugs-running criminal.

Yet, like persons lacking in self-respect these 13 cretins devalued their humanity to virtually go pay obeisance to Bola Tinubu (a private citizen). Amongst the 13 cretins was Alhaji Supo Shashore. There was also Alhaji Ganiyu Dawodu and also Alhaji Hamzat. Plus Alhaji Adeyemi Ikuforoji, and a phalanx of other Alhajis too numerous to mention. See what the love of money did to Nigerians. Oh, what a country!

  • Gbolade Shonibare

The 2015 Lagos agenda must be focused. It is not so much to vote out

these bigoted and thievish APC Muslims as to emplace a rational order

where merits will start to count for once. Islam is not the measure of merits.

To the contrary, religion as criterion used by APC is the very opposite of merits.

The pitchfork of Islam by Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Raji Fashola led to a parlous state in Lagos.
Incompetents now rule the roost in Lagos without any competitive assessment.
What Lagos needs is not this amateurish patchwork of the city’s existing roads.

Ninety [90%] of Lagosians afterall have no cars. Raji Fashola’s ignorance of public
administration led to his muddling up priorites to create this un-liveable city today,
marked by 50% un-employment underlying widespread and deadly violence all around.

The task in 2015 is to reverse all of this mess caused by Raji Fashola’s utter ignorance
and bring the years of the locust (1999-2014) to justice by recovering all stolen assets

and jailing the raft of thievish Lagos state officials – from Commissioner to Auditor.

  • Pharaoh

Raji Fashola is not a deep thinker but an impulsive person, brash and uncouth,
who takes un-thinking short cut in reflex action as solution. But short cut reflex
can’t solve poverty. Trying to sweep poverty under the carpet, by getting rid of
poor people, is not governance, but idiocy.

  • Oluwole

Tinubu should be given a Lawrence Anini treatment. Thief na thief.

  • John Nwachukwu

I agree with you thatTinubu needs to be dealt with and his excesses checked. He has really defrauded the state to the point of destruction and needs to be in jail. However, PDP cannot win Lagos State.
