Seized $5.7million: APC used by ‘foreign interests’ to destroy Nigeria — PDP

Olisa Metuh, PDP National Publicity Secretary.

Our attention has been drawn to a statement by the APC wherein it again embarrassed itself on issues regarding the genuine efforts by the Federal Government to tackle the security challenges facing our nation.

Our response to the APC is that we are solidly behind President Goodluck Jonathan in the steps he is taking to ensure the safety of Nigerians and defend our sovereignty as a nation, especially in the light of their connivance with foreign interests to embarrass the government and people of Nigeria.

We state categorically that the actions preferred by some foreign nations against our dear country as we seek solution to our security challenges are unacceptable and totally uncalled for, especially given our cordial relationship with them and the roles Nigeria and Nigerians citizens played in assisting them in their internal struggles.

Given the rush with which the APC attacked the presidency, it is clear that they are working hand in glove with foreign interests in a concerted effort to tarnish the image of our dear nation, ridicule our government and frustrate genuine efforts towards ending the insecurity challenges we face as a nation.

Any responsible opposition which has the interest and welfare of the people at heart as the APC claims would concentrate on proffering solution to the problems of the nation instead of seeking political capital at all times. Instead, we have an opposition that has been conniving with foreign interests to destroy the image and unity of their own country as a means to achieve political control.

The APC is aptly likened to a quarrelsome wife, who daily goes to the market place to discuss her marital problems. We ask, does such a woman seek the unity or disintegration of her home? In the same vein Nigerians wonder if the APC is really interested in the unity and corporate existence of our nation. Are they trying to destroy our country as a means to achieve political control through the back door?

The APC must come to terms with the fact that Nigeria as a indivisible nation has come to stay. They must know that Nigerians are resolute in their determination to live together as one people.

Our final response is that the PDP and indeed Nigerians of good faith are solidly behind President Jonathan and no amount of blackmail or connivance with foreign interests will deter or detract the PDP-led administration from the resolve to find a permanent solution to the security challenges in our country.

Olisa Metuh
National Publicity Secretary, PDP

The thieves are using national security has a conduit for looting the country dry. Anybody who remembers Abacha’s NSA Ismailia Gwarzo who consistently used helicopters to lift dollars from the CBN. Under the cover of security and security votes, the money is moved to remote landing strips for onward transfer via private jet to their secret account.
These thieves are stealing the money meant to fight Boko haram .
Metin, you , GEJ and your PDP paymaster are the Boko haram.
    Thieves

    • Nuhu

may boko haram visit you soon so that you will appreciate the efforts of the Federal Govt in her efforts to save people like you from the agents of destruction being encouraged by the janjaweed party APC

      • the truth

        amen to that prayer

      • TRUTH MASTER

Such silly prayers don’t get answered. Those looting the national treasury in the name of the state will go down in infamy!

      • Issei

May your life continue till eternity just like the way Dr Jonathan is runing Nigeria.

      • Ette

May God deal with you the way GEJ and PDP are dealing with Nigerian masses. Do say Amen.

  • Goodluck_Nigeria

    Again ???????

    Please spare us !!!

If men have learnt to shoot without missing ………. why can’t we learn to fly without perching …… it’s that simple.

After all ……. “Onye ndi’iro gbara gburugburu, na’eche ndu ya nche ngbe ni’ile”

    • Wähala

akuko Ibadan… that’s all your rantings amount to, akuko!

  • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

“Given the rush with which the APC attacked the presidency, it is clear that they are working hand in glove with foreign interests in a concerted effort to tarnish the image of our dear nation, ridicule our government and frustrate genuine efforts towards ending the insecurity challenges we face as a nation.” – Mr. Metuh

Are you saying that the APC was the one that instructed Aso Rock to go bungling up things in a criminal matter?

    • Wähala

It’s a Govt. of finger-pointing. Has Dumbo ever accepted responsibility for anything in the past? He started his blame game with Northern dis-n-dat; people who wanted to make Nigeria ungovernable for an Ijaw man; Northern Governors for not sending their children to school… and recently, foreign interests. So, it’s normal antics for Metuh to mouth off a litany of meaningless accusations knowing their umbrella is linking from many holes. Like I told you yesterday, Atiku is a candidate and a close friend of Zuma, he’s well versed in the business of blackmail and got OBJ to prostrate full length before him… Dumbo is next!

  • Ahmad

These people have no shame at all. After this international embracement you still have mouth to talk.

    • Nuhu

“embracement???” you are an embarassment to your family.

      • Wähala

Only a mad man has no shame…
Why is he an embarrassment to his family while your drunken money launderer is a hero in the riverine?
See why I insist, “Aborigine education is contaminated educated”? Ogogoro has damaged all your reasoning faculty, why is he an embarrassment while a drunk like you is a role model to yours? Near-naked baztard!

      • Ahmad

        You lack home training.

  • the truth

very soon the whole truth will come out. nigerians are watching. anybody, party or group who plans death, blackmail and smear for nigeria will perish.

  • charles

Metu is a great mismatch to Lai’s team…they are a million miles apart…each time you put their press releases and arguments side by side..you wonder how hollow…shallow and the glaring incompetence of Metu…Metu is not just an embarrassment to pdp but the nation at large…

    • Wähala

Metuh is demented. Don’t be surprised if he blames UFO’s for his party’s misfortunes one day…
A sinking man they say, will grab at anything. Imagine blaming APC for using Olitsejafor’s jet to launder money…
Madness has no remedy, crazeman will always sneak a look in the wrong direction. Metuh is looking the wrong way…
      Colo !!!

    • Ette

The guy talks like a motor pack tout, and this is the type of people you find in great numberin the wicked PDP. No surprise.

  • Wähala

The meaning of the “5th columnists” in Sambo’s watery threats to South Africa. Metuh is really shallow side-by-side with his counterpart and the difference is glaring. While Alhaji Lai asked pointed, common sense questions, Olisa Metuh did not even attempt to answer any of them with his usual windy foolishness. Who are the two no-name Nigerians in Metuh’s efforts to liberate Nigeria from the jaws of Boko Haram? Who is the no-name CBN middle manager funding Boko Haram? Even his housewife analogy is so daft I spilled odeku thru the nose reading the crass Olisa Metuh… Alhj. Lai did not complain to the AU (market place), he complained to Nigerians (the couples’ children) about the pounding our Treasury is taking at the hands of corrupt PDP money launderers. Try as they may, this issue cannot be wished away as South Africa is a country of Law & Order who tried and sentenced Henry Okah for bombing Nigeria on Independence Day… while his brother, Charles, lavishes in Kuje Prison still awaiting trial. Like the cripple, Pisterius, who murdered his ex-girlie, the Zulus will trail and convict those nameless Nigerians in their custody and their faces will be known to the world as Dumbo’s goons… not agents of 5th columnists as Olisa Metuh wants gullible Nigerians to believe. We’re not blinking!

  • the truth

metuh for future references if you are reading this please try to address lai mohammed’s points. i am really not impressed with this response. i doubt this is really coming from metuh.

    • Ijeuwa

      You mean olisa MUMU?

    • Mohstone

Continue to live in doubt. He has empty brain like yours

      • the truth

show love even to people who insult and abuse you.i would not insult u as i did not insult anybody on my post. always classy. stay blessed mohstone i hope you have a good day

  • Truthometer

Party of the rogue, PDP, should blame itself for constantly looting the national treasury. It seems to be in their DNA, for pilfering our commonwealth and later turn around to blame the opposition party. It is time to take our country back from these broad day and modern day, marauders.

  • gboromiro

    Olosi Meran ni eleyi o.
    Shameless, gutter morals, utterly despicable.

  • SBBify

Are you telling us that APC is now the one controlling SA government? Honestly PDP has no shame.

  • TRUTH MASTER

Honestly, at times like this, silence is better. Metuh’s statement is a disservice to the FG and the PDP. Wow. What a shallow, poorly-thought-out statement! Metuh is not the right man for the job. He does not measure up.

    • emmanuel

Be silent in the face of orchestrated and calculated blackmail?

What manner of inferior humans populate the APC who would not seat back to think about the long term effect of the rubbish they spew out daily in the name of opposition politics.

Would Tinubu, Buhari and Atiku say they do not know how Arms deals are done, why are they acting so cheap?

      • tulampa

I was dumbfounded after reading through your comments. Can’t just believe how facts cam be distorted for cheap political blackmail. Hence I employ u to please listen n read the facts again carefully before passing any judgment or comment

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

You are imploring him to do what is not only distasteful to him, but what he is clearly unable to do – read and comprehend!

That is punishment to him and his like.

      • Mobolaji Osikoya

I do not blame you Emmanuel. GEJ has said you do not know the difference btw corruption and stealing so there is know how you can know the difference btw a legal deal and an illegal deal. When you transact a business deal with an organisation who no longer have the SA arm license (the one given expired in May ever before Nigeria wired d money), then that deal is illegal. Our govt will neva c ntin wrong in buying from an unlicensed firm after all contracts are awarded to unregistered coys in Nigeria.

      • TRUTH MASTER

Those people are not in government. We voted Jonathan and he must answer to our queries. Educate yourself about how democracy works sir, so you won’t come here and become an object of ridicule.

    • Garry

      @ Truth Master:

Just reading Lai Mohammed and Olisa Metuh is enough to show that Nigeria is in a hopeless situation because both men simply don’t know how to think. Their press statements always lack thought. How these dregs rose to become spokesmen of Nigeria’s major political parties is a tragedy of our times. Nigerians are not victims of this hollowness of thought destroying their country. They actively abet it by refusing to be governed by cretins. They’ll rather keep waving the umbrella or the broom, as their country falls. Such mentally careless populace do not deserve pity. Perhaps, they deserve ruining.

“Nigeria has descended into a hellish reality where – for smart and capable people
to ‘survive’ and have their daily bread – they must prostrate for imbeciles. The whole

Nigerian system – including the public themselves, wants oppressors – not people working

        ……Iyabo Obasanjo

(Letter to my father, December 18, 2013)

      • TRUTH MASTER

I disagree with you. No basis to compare apples and oranges. When ACN had only one state and ANPP had seven or so as the main opposition party, ACN was more vociferous and visible, thanks to its Spokesman. How dare you compare such a man with mindless and feckless Metuh? I hope you can read and understand

  • u s man

Honestly I’m disappointed with this government, instead of them telling us what actually happened in South Africa (arms deal), the were busy blaming apc. Is it apc that blow the whistle or south Africa? When will this government get it right.

    • Ken

Are you saying you are not aware of the response of the National Security Adviser’s comments? Kindly go and find out. The transaction is legitimate as it was wired openly through the banks.

      • ibraheem

honestly i am really dissapointed in every body that side with FG & CO. because it is when indecency reach it’s peak that’s when someone like sambo dasuki will issued an unmature statement in approaching matters “which Nigerians was furious to know and prosecuting FG about” to threatening another country about business. what should that suppose to be

  • Mobolaji Osikoya

I do not blame you Olisa Methu. GEJ has said you do not know the difference btw corruption and stealing so there is know how you can know the difference btw a legal deal and an illegal deal. Our govt will neva c ntin wrong in buying from an unlicensed firm after all contracts are awarded to unregistered coys in Nigeria.

  • Ken

No matter the intrigues and bad belle against this government, we are solidly behind GEJ. He will rule till 2019 by the Grace of God. The Govt. has come up severally to own up the arms transactions, what else? let all the haters and opponents do whatever they want, we will still vote massively for GEJ in 2015 for another term of four years.

    • Troublesome

How many of you will vote for him in 2015? Please don’t say we; just say you and your households. Don’t speak on our behalf.

  • Ken

South Africa will certainly get back in full measure what they are looking for. How can you seize a refund for a transaction that could not be concluded? Why didn’t they seize the fund when they were wired initially? The Synagogue issue is taking its tall. It wasn’t the Govt that killed the South Africans but it was an accident. Let SA refund all the funds to avoid the expected wahala for them. GEJ will reciprocate what SA is trying to do.

  • djay

A clueless pdp party and govt taking their foolishness to display internationally.

  • Ette

This guy is really dead as far as good reasoning is concerned. Only the rogue PDP members are behind the thieving president for stealing our fund and running to Cyprus to hide but God disgraced them by using South Africa to expose them. May God deal with them the way they are dealing with Nigerians. Amen.

  • Chris1408

Metuh brain has truly knocked its engine.

  • Mr. Abdin

PDP is so confused and clueless the should stop attacking political opponents with no justification.

  • Gentle Jungle

My philosophy is that: ‘Never advise a faithless leader; he will definitely take it as a challenge, because he knows what to do, but he has no interest in doing the right thing.’

What is the treasonable offense committed by APC? Is it for advising the government to do right thing, or for demanding explanation about its illicit arms transaction?
Big trouble awaiting Nigeria! What a pity.

  • felix

apc is not destroying d rather is jonathan administration and his party pdp dat is destroying d country

  • jerry

PDP Is conniving with foreign and very powerful countries to eliminate Muslims in Nigeria. It is very clean clear. Asari Dokubo + CAN President + Jerry Gana + an Israeli + $9.3 million + $ 5.7 million + doing nothing to end Boko Haram = Elimniating Muslims in Nigeria. Don’t you think this is a balanced equation?
