Yusuf Buratai, the father of Nigeria’s army chief, Tukur Buratai, is dead.
The army spokesperson, Sani Usman, confirmed the death in a statement issued on Friday.
Mr. Usman the senior Buratai, an ex-serviceman, died on Friday morning.
He was a veteran of World War II, having joined the West African Army in 1942. (NAN)
