Idea Eguabor, the Director Of Raymond Dokpesi Campaign Organisation for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairmanship, has said that Mr. Dokpesi would not step down for any other aspirants.

Mr. Eguabor in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja said that the clarification was important following some speculations that Mr. Dokpesi had succumbed to political pressure and agreed to drop out of the race.

“Nothing can indeed be further from the truth. Chief Dokpesi is not only a front runner but remains the aspirant to beat at the convention grounds on Saturday.

“We urge teeming members and party delegates to disregard and ignore such cheap and diversionary antics aimed at causing ill wind in the PDP.

“Chief Dokpesi will not step down and those who wish so are advised to redirect their energies to campaigns that will benefit their aspirants rather than dissipate positive energy in negative direction.

“The national convention is the first effort by the PDP since inception at entrenching an internal democractic process that will lead deepen our democracy.

“Let him who is running behind in this race remain behind or run faster than the man in front. The impunity and imposition of the past has long gone out of fashion.”

Mr. Eguabor said that the delegates would decide every contestants faith.

“We should all agree to abide and accept by the convention decision. Only the process must be free, fair and credible,” Mr. Eguabor added.

I believe PDP can give red card to Buhari if they know what to do and how to play their political game very well. The winning strategy for PDP could be:
      1. Tambuwal – Presidential candidate from North West
      2. Vice President- Credible candidate from South West
      3. National Chairman – Credible and transparent candidate from South South
      4. Senate president – South east
      5. Speaker of the house of rep- North Central
      7. SGF-North East
Tambuwal is the ONLY politician in the north as of today that can send Buhari packing to Daura in 2019. The amount of support Tambuwal will receive from Nigerians will not give room for rigging, no matter and buhari may give up his second term ambition midway. PDP should forget Atiku because he seems to have lost goodwill and acceptability from Nigerian voters. It will be easy to market Tambuwal to the north and southern voters.

Dopkesi is actually the best of all the candidates. The rest have faced this whole race with such entitlement that have caused the problems the party is trying to come out of.
