The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of shying away from taking actions against killer herdsmen.

Mr. Fayose said this on Tuesday in a condolence message to those killed in fresh attacks in Adamawa state by alleged Fulani herdsmen.

“Today, my heart goes to the families of those people killed in Adamawa by herdsmen. It appears that herdsmen have replaced Boko Haram in that State and one wonders why the president is always reluctant to take actions against the herdsmen,” he said on Twitter.

The attacks which was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the state, Othman Abubakar, are suspected to be reprisals for the killings of dozens of Fulani residents allegedly by their Bachama neighbours.

According to Mr. Abubakar, the crisis started on Monday in Dong, Demsa Local Government Area following “a misunderstanding” between farmers and Fulani herdsmen.

Residents who confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES said homes were set ablaze, locals killed, forcing helpless people to flee into the bushes for safety.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday travelled to Numan to condole with the people of the area over the recent spate of violence which led to several deaths.

PREMIUM TIMES had on December 1 reported how at least sixmobile police officers were allegedly killed while trying to make arrest at a predominantly Fulani settlement.

PREMIUM TIMES in November also reported the Numan Killing of at least 30 women and children.

The report which generated outrage especially in the Northern part of the country propelled the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad AbubakarIII, to condemn the killing of dozens of Fulanis in Numan area of Adamawa State.

It’s a pity that GIDEON ORKAR’S coup came too early.if by now, it will be welcome by suffering masses.because Buhari is a sectional leader.

I have never seen a pretentious character like PMB. His deluded spokesmen have been beating their chests scoring PMB high on security on the grounds that “no Nigerian territory is occupied by terrorists”. So long as these pretentious characters enjoy state security, they are not bothered. You can imagine the number of innocent citizens slaughtered under PMB, and some toxic tongues will wag against Jonathan. The worst is that these killings were carried out under the nose of so called security personnel “guiding” the communities. Nemesis must visit them all. Let the helpless bereaved families take heart. That is CHANGE.
