Former Vice President and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar, has called on Nigerians of all faiths to lift up President Muhammadu Buhari in prayers.

In a press statement issued by his media office in Abuja on Friday, Mr. Abubakar said every one us is a mere mortal, irrespective of how great or highly accomplished they are.

“We deserve the care and support of one another in trying times,” he says.

He reminded Nigerians that President Buhari needs all the prayers and goodwill that he can get at this time, to enable him return from his medical vacation in the UK and continue with his “God-ordained assignment of steering Nigeria to her next level of greatness.”

“Each of us go through times when we are not feeling in top form,” he says. “The last thing we need in those times is mockery or ill will.”

The former vice president urged Nigerians to quit the rumour mongering and to instead channel that energy in praying for God to strengthen President Buhari and his family through this time.

Why do we like spiritualising self-inflicted problems?

Tell Buhari to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and let Biafrans go if not……………You guys find it difficult to read the hand writing on the wall. The Nigeria economy was not in recession before his arrest. Buhari was not sick before his arrest. The DSS guy who troubled him just died mysteriously. Atiku, the God we serve is I AM WHO I AM. He will fight for his people. Killing of innocent and harmless Biafrans will bring more calamity to Nigeria. There is no way your Naira can improve in the international market. Very soon you guys will see darkness in some part of the Country while others will enjoy light. Do not say that I did not warn you. The cry of the Biafrans has reached the ears of Chukwuokikeabiama. He is a consuming fire. You guys want to see signs and wonders before you believe. You will never find solution to your economic problems unless you release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. More plagues are coming. Tell Buhari to let Biafrans go.

Praying for our Leaders is a welcome call though some of them don’t deserve our prayers because of the untold hardship they have brought upon their fellow citizens.
    Very well said Turaki…
May God’s will be done in the Life of President Buhari…

We are really praying for him. My prayer is that the innocent blood of Biafrans murdered under his watch should torment him slow but steady. I don’t want him dead yet.

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with the president and his family. Regardless of our political differences we want the president hale and hearty.
