The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, on Friday, honoured his kinsman, Mohammed Danhalidu, who emerged overall best graduating officer cadet of the Nigerian Defence Academy regular course 63 during the just concluded passing out parade.
Mr. Danhalidu, a Second Lieutenant, is from Zamfara State, as Mr. Dan-Ali, a retired Brigadier General.
During the passing out parade, Mr. Danhalidu was presented with a Sword of Honor by President Muhammadu Buhari.
During the reception held in his honour at the Ship House office of the Defence Minister, Mr. Danhalidu presented the sword to the minister.
“The Honourable Minister advised the young officer and his colleagues to exhibit high sense of disciple and be ready to serve as vanguards of change begin with me agenda of the federal government,” the Minister’s spokesperson, Tukur Gusau, Colonel, told PREMIUM TIMES.
Meanwhile, earlier on Thursday, the Minister received his assets verification certificate from a Federal Commissioner of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Stephen Bekafula.
But like other officials appointed by Mr. Buhari, actual details of the liabilities and assets declared to the CCB were not publicly disclosed.
