The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential villa, Abuja.

“The meeting with the President was about peace and progress of the nation which he stands for and I stand for,” the Ooni said after the meeting. “What is also key is youth empowerment. That is the main purpose of this meeting. There is a lot. I am currently working with the Minister of Agriculture. We have been able to assemble over 200,000 youths within a space of 30 days. It is unbelievable. We are encouraging them to go back to the farm.”

      Its a good thing asking these young folks to return to the farm. It shouldnt be with hoes and cutlasses though, it should be with modern ways of farming. Im sure thats exactly what would happen.

      He said “go back to farm”, he never said use your hands to till the ground. People like you can never fail to conjour negativity in things. Change your mindset. The young Oba is a farmer too and he knows how it is been doing. The Minister of Agriculture is a seasoned and big time farmer too, he is into mechanized system of farming so stop your sowing your seed of discord.
