The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation has dispatched a formal complaint against Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, to the International Criminal Court and other agencies over her statement asking Nigerians to stone anybody calling for change in the country.

Mrs. Jonathan had said at the Peoples Democratic Party Women Campaign in Calabar, Cross River State, last week that anyone chanting change should be stoned.

“I’m telling you, anyone that comes and tell you change, stone that person,” she said. “What you did not do 19 kikilili, is now that age has caught up with you, you want to come and change? You can’t change rather you will turn back to a baby. You will turn back to a baby. From old age nothing, so nothing like change. Rather (it) is continuity.”

The APC slogan for the forthcoming election is “Change” while that of the PDP is “Power.”

The APC campaign’s Director General and Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, said by her statement, Mrs. Jonathan was clearly asking the PDP to attack the APC supporters because Nigerians know that change is the slogan of the opposition party.

He drew a similarity between some of the first lady’s inciting statement and those of a former First Lady of Cote d”Ivoire, Simone Gbagbo, in the build up to that country’s election in 2010, stating that she was indicted for her part in planning to perpetrate brutal attacks, including rape, murder and sexual violence on the opposition.

Mr. Amaechi lamented Mrs. Jonathan’s hate speech, saying it contravened the laws and also the Abuja Peace Pact endorsed by the 13 presidential candidates in the March 28 election.

He said, “PDP supporters in the state who may not know better could easily yield themselves to the First Lady’s admonition and embark on a process of wanton stoning and other attacks against the APC members.”

Mr. Amaechi asked the police to ensure emergency measures at put in place to protect the lives and properties of the members of APC in Cross River State.

The governor said the petition would be dispatched to the National Human Rights Commission and the Inspector General of Police, Suleman Abba.

The first lady’s media aide, Ayo Adewuyi, could not be reach for comments.

With this statement, I would rather say that our so called first lady is not only disgracing her husband, but the entire country. Did she ever learned english grammer? Since Jonathan is allowing his first adviser to go about in the name of campaining for him, he should also be aware that he is undergoing an indirectly political suicide. If it is true, which i believe, then we have seriuos problem in this country. She is abusing the office as well making treasonable offenses in any case. There is no iota of moral as someone who keeps visiting churches to donate. Anyway, many pastors don´t know why they are pastors until the election is over. This system is ANARCHY!!!!

I am just baffled that our religious leaders with integrity, not the money sharers please, are keeping silent uptil now in respect of what is going on this make joint entity called nigeria. They might say, well, one should not mix politics with religion. At the same times, they would aggree with me that leadership comes from God-we all agree- whether you´re religious believer or not. The fact is a universal one. So, if they are in unison to this fact, and then they don´t come out to say something in order to reduce this uncontrolable situation, then I may like to ask: As servants of God that has millions of followers to care for, who are living under this leadership, don´t you have the right as part of the whole system to air your mind? If these people continue like this unchecked and caused lifes of your followers, what would you say? We all have a role to play here. After all, if some pastors would leave their duty post to collect bribe, I think the ones with integrivity should go out and warn his fellowers as well. Sitting down and expecting the people to come to church two to three times a week, while fire is burning around them, is tentamounting to downfall of all. Even God himself came out uncountable times to put things right or at least warned and advised his children. I wish i have another country to caall mine, i would have done that since. This country need serious sensitisation, hence we will frift further than this into the stone age. I hope Adeboye and Kumuyi will read this: The sheep (people) are yearning for a true shepherd (leader) who can lead. Does anyone cares???

The APC has done the right thing by lodging her complaint to the ICC and IHRO for asking PDP members to stone anyone who says change.President Ebele Jonathan’s wife could be the boss for Ebele Jonathan, her husband but she needs to be cautioned and made to face penalty for her lose mouth for encouraging violence against opposition.

her husband will soon follow her

This ‘first lady’ is a complete disgrace to Nigeria , most especially, Nigerian women.
Was Jonathan drunk when he married her?

There is upsurge in violent crimes related to politics in Calabar now, as we so speak, with many resulting to death. Find out

APC is used to making threatening noises. It is all stuff and bluster. If it loses, the dogs and the baboons would be soaked in blood. If it loses it would form a parallel government. If the election is postponed, Nigerians would not stand for it. Therefore, it expended all its political and financial capital on a 14th February election. When it finally dawned on it that the election might be postponed. APC was completely outplayed. INEC succumbed to the inevitable and the election was postponed, and for six weeks no less. As a result, the APC stampede came to an end. All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) should first make formal complaint against Buhari, Amechi, and APC cabal, who have made such dangerous comments to their supporters. President Goodluck Jonathan has led by far the most tolerant administration and presided over the fairest elections (by- and general) in our history. #goodluck4president
