APC Not Happy With Nigeria’s Economic Progress — PDP

Olisa Metuh, PDP National Publicity Secretary.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as sadistic and unfortunate, the All Progressives Congress’ relentless attack on President Goodluck Jonathan’s policies put in place to plug leakages in the nation’s economy.

The PDP said the recent bitter criticism against widely applauded initiatives by the Jonathan administration aimed at guaranteeing the economic progress of the nation even in the face of the fall in crude oil price at the international market, not only confirms APC’s general aversion to the well-being of the nation but also the fact that its leaders have lost every sense of positive reasoning due to their desperation for power.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Tuesday said that it is appalling that the APC has become so anti-people that it would attempt to smear populist programmes of government in a bid to score cheap political point.

“We ask, why is APC uncomfortable with policies that promote transparency and accountability in the nation’s revenue system? Why are they bitter with the independent revenue e-collection scheme under the Treasury Single Account, which ensures greater monitoring and control of spending in MDAs?

“Why is APC bellyaching over the inauguration of the Automated Aviation Revenue Project and the directive that revenue collected by MDAs should be paid directly to the Consolidated Revenue Fund at the Central Bank for better monitoring and control?

“Is it because of their selfish agenda to pillage the nation’s resources to enlarge the economic frontiers of their leaders; the real reason for their apparent desperation for power?’ the PDP queried.

The ruling party said the APC is frustrated and increasingly confused by the successes recorded by the Jonathan’s administration in security and economy despite the daunting challenges and has resorted to chasing shadows, especially having realized that Nigerians are no longer swayed by its propaganda in the social media and popularity contest abroad.

“Our advice to the APC is that they should stop deluding themselves with their countless lies and deceitful promises to Nigerians. They should be bold enough to accept that they have no positive agenda and lack the capacity to ensure the unity, stability and prosperity of the nation”, the statement said.

Insisting on its avowed commitment to transparency, accountability and prudent management of resources, the PDP assured that no amount of propaganda by the opposition will deter and distract it from pursuing its people oriented programmes in line with its manifesto and visions of the founding fathers.

Enemies of progress l always wonder why they have refused to learn from opposition parties in other countries .The level of desperation that the Apc exhibit is something else and really alarming.I wonder how they expect to win the hearts of the masses when they always go to great lengths to Sabotage the efforts of the federal govt at bettering the lives of the citizenry just to score cheap political points

  • Eniola Adeola

All progress alliance of criminal(APC) has never and will never be happy with the progress of a society they are out to ruin, they started with sponsoring boko haram,to subsequently fighting a government whose progress and transformation is evident and glaring for all see, these are group criminals whose intention is to fustrate progress and transformation of a fast growing polity.Vote GEJ for more more more more more more and more.

    • Tunsj

You must have your head examined.

  • Anene Mercy

I must commend Metu for being prompt in bringing to the public the ills of APC and their evil plot against Nigeria state. We are happy with ur on the spot reportage. Thanks sir, I am one of ur intellectual followers.

U are not a noise !makers like ur contemporary in APC. Well done sir.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Does that not make you an intellectual orphan?

  • Yusuf Ahmed

How can they be happy when they know its against their expectation. APC is made up of demons that dont have the progress of nigeria at heart. We know that their intentions is to send us back to our colonial masters but that will never happen. The governance of GEJ has placed Nigeria as the third fastest growing economy in the world, and its not by magic but detemination and hardwork.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      Really?

Which ones are the first and second “fastest growing economies in the world” and what are the sources of your ‘data’?

“Third fastest growing economy” my foot!

      • Yusuf Ahmed

        Go and hug transformer bro.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

No fear, I am protected by the failure of Jonothing.

The transformers needs to have power in them first and they don’t.

Shame I can’t tell you to jump off the Second Niger bridge either. Again, no thanks to Jonothing.

          See you after May 29.

  • Eniola Adeola

All progress alliance of criminals said they will provide one square meal if they win,who will then provide the remaining two square meal, vague promises and deceitful lies.

  • Anene Mercy

The leading APC financiers and leaders are too corrupt. They are responsible for looting this country dry. Name them: Obj, Atiku, Danjuma, Tinubu, Amechi, etc. They are shouting change because they will rot in despair if GEJ conclusively block all the loopholes as he is currently doing.

  • Victor Gee

While APC is still expecting Jonathan to fight corruption using crook outdated means, he has shown he is a 21st century leader by using modern technological and scientific approach to corruption fight. While he is busy blocking all the loopholes withing the system, APC wanted him to use analogue outdated system that never stood test of time.

    Thanks Mr president. Carry go.

  • Eniola Adeola

The difference between Mr Oliseh Metu and liar Mohammed is the intellectual capacity of both men. While Liar Mohammed is always fidgeting and producing hate speeches,MR Metuh on the other hand is an intellectual and releases press statements that makes sense and is nationalistic in nature in that it doesn’t seek to put division amongst us like that of Mohammed does

  • Eniola Adeola

All progress alliance of criminals are the full definition of corruption,OGA Jona pls carry go,you are cleared to proceed, you are excessively good to go.More of Jona in our economy.

  • Spoken word

Olisa Metuh you are a sinner.you need to repent.becuse your stomach has progressed over the last 4 years does not mean you should be ignorant of the millions of Nigerians that have not been able to escape poverty in this visionless and corrupt PDP government.

    • Etang Chris

Spoken word, if unare still in poverty then it is a pity. It seems u are too lazy to hack into the opportunity created by FG to better. U want FG to come to ur house and beg u to take up a job. Bros help ur self. Jonathan administration has created many opportunities for Nigerians to better their life. Uwin is there, SureP is there, Agric loan is there. Pls stop being lazy and help itself.

If u die out of poverty, u will go to hell for not proactive enough.

      • Spoken word

You fool,is better life spending all my time trying to get petrol or spending my hard earned resources fueling and maintaining my generator.I am not a bloody thief like you.

  • Truthometer

Where is the economy progress? In Olisa Metuh’s dream.

    • Etang Chris

The economy is strong everywhere? where do u have doubth let me clear u. Am waiting.

      • Tunsj

I’m sure you are from another planet.

  • Etang Chris

I will continue to admire Olisa Metu for his calmness and alticulative approach to addressing national issues. He has shown maturity in handling critical issues.

APC is an anti developmental party. Old cargoes with analogue brain. The world has left them and they will ever catch up so voting them is setting the nation backward

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      “…calmness and alticulative approach…” – Etang Chris.

You dey work hard for this pay per comment job o!

But if only you could spend some more time improving yourself and your grammar, you’d get a better paying job that would also restore your dignity.

“Crumb catching” is not a profession.

Kay Soyemi Esq, Hahahahah, u have Esq as a suffix to ur name and shamefully u are a suppprter of a man without certificate. It is possible u are also certificate- less.

        Mumu.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

No, I didn’t go to school; same way you had to have your shoe size written on your forehead before being sent to the shops for shoes when Jonothing had no shoes!

Which school taught you the existence of the word “alticulative”?

          Olodo.

  • inuwa kate

Oga Metu, I am from north east, my happiness now and the joy of most indigenes in my area is this victory over boko haram war. We are thankful to Mr president.

We will vote him again, so that boko haram will come history.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      Joker!

      • Jonathan weds Buhari

@kay Soyemi, you have become increasingly something like hungry hyena in serengetti game reserve. Why?
Please stop joining issues with meatheads. You have your right to your opinion and just keep it like that, even if you are abused simply neglect them and make your point please.
My 11 years old boy is reading your comments every day especially Friday nights and he’s complaining about you because I introduced him to your comments.
Keep writing those your latin words as junior writes them down.
        Thanks and enjoy your day.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Please do extend my apologies to your son.

I am sorry that I have offended his sensibilities. May he live longer than both of us.

But please do let him know that disputes are a way of life people have to endure at some point. There are bullies online and as much as I try to avoid them, I am equally conscious that they have to be engaged once in a while to check their excesses.

Even Military Generals try to avoid war but know that it is sometimes essential to fight wars in order to get and guarantee peace for all.

          • Jonathan weds Buhari

Amen to your prayers. we wish you all the same kay.
Thanks and God bless. He is now aware of your response.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Many thanks, bruv.

  • bimbo

Mumu, where are the economic progress. Please list the achievements. Is it in manufacturing, electricity, Housing, security, exchange rate, employment, etc. Where is the progress?

    • Yusuf Ahmed

Which sector of the economy are u involved with so i can start from there pls since you are deaf, dumb and blind.

    • Eniola Adeola

Bimbo you are an imbecile and a blind fellow, transformation is even in your doorstep and yet you can see it,you need to work on your eyes.

    • onyekaokorie

Bimbo, pls refer to my reply above on Tunsj’s post, ur fellow e-rat colleague.

  • Tunsj

Mr. Metuh (Jonathan’s puppet), can you please name all the economic progress that your boss has achieved?

    • Eniola Adeola

Tunsj is it that you are blind or that you talk and reason from your anus, transformation is very evident in all facets of the polity, even to your doorstep.

      • Tunsj

This is exactly what is wrong with a lot of PDP supporters and you have proved me right. PDP supporters are the most uninformed and arrogant people in Nigeria. If I wanted to hear an a**hole speak, I’d fart.

    • onyekaokorie

Mr Tunsj, I am surprised that u do not know the economic achievememts of Mr president. However, I am not surprised because u are a supporter of a man without certificate and I assume u do not have certificate either. Having said that, are not proud that Nigeria under became the biggest and richest economy in Africa.

Are u not proud that under GEJ Nigeria is now a producer of cars. Are u not aware that Nigeria not exports rice instead of importing rice. Have u not heard that Nigeria economy has been rated one of the fastest growing economy in the world.

GEJ is the best. We will vote him again.

Tunsj what else or are u convinced?

      • Tunsj

Who are you talking about when you said “We” will vote for your hero, GEJ? I will advice you to please speak for yourself. You wrote all these stuff but you failed to mention the level of poverty and lack of employment in Nigeria. So are you telling me that one of the company that is producing cars in Nigeria is OTUEKE OR NIGERIAN AUTO COMPANY? Look around you and tell me the economic achievement since GEJ has been in office. For you, GEJ is the best but for millions of Nigerians, he is the worst.

  • korona melvin

APC IS JUST SO FULL OF HATE. EVEN WITH THE ECONOMIC AND SECURITY PROGRESS MADE BY THIS ADMINISTRATION, IT IS REALLY SAD TO STILL SEE THAT THEY ARE STILL CONSTANTLY ATTACKING THIS ADMINISTRATION INSTEAD JOINING IN THE BUILDING OF THIS GREAT NATION. #GEJ4NAIJA

  • taiwo

Buhari became a beautiful bride to those wishing to do away with President Goodluck Jonathan, having risen on the wave of religious messianism after the Sharia riots of 2000 which swept across the Muslim North. He supported it openly and vowed to ensure it is taken to all parts of Nigeria, including the non-Muslim parts. It was from this constituency that he always got his votes in the three previous times he has vied for the presidency. Now buoyed by Bola Tinubu’s supporters in the South West and renegade former PDP governors, Buhari looks much better placed than ever to take a good shot at the presidency.

What should we expect from such a man with limited educational background and outdated connection to modern reality as president? Why is a professor of Law, Yemi Osinbajo, enthusiastic about deputising for a man who can’t even pronounce his name correctly? The answer is simple. They know that when Buhari was Head of State it was Tunde Idiagbon, the deputy, who was in charge. They also know that as Chairman of PTF, it was a battery of Fulani technocrats headed by Afriprojects Consortium CEO, Alhaji Salihijo Ahmad, that was in charge. They are hoping Osinbajo will be in charge if Buhari is elected. And I laugh!

    • Yusuf Ahmed

      #Where is Buhari#!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • chi boss

The APC are desperados, enemies of progress.. They have a lot of negativity embedded in that political party, Even looking at there members faces starting from GMB, Tinubu and co, sadness is written allover there faces. This set of individuals can not rule this great nation. They pretend not to see the great achievements GEJ has done, how low and cheap, this is not acceptable and they will lose. #NO2BUHARI #GEJ4NAIJA
