Babalola Borishade cautions APC against complacency

The former Director General of ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Campaign Organisation in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Babalola Borishade, has cautioned leaders of the party against complacency in its efforts to unseat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 general elections.

Mr. Borishade said in a statement Saturday that leaders of the opposition need to work extra hard to bring about the desired change that will usher in a purposeful political leadership in the country .

The former Minister of Aviation also said that relying on the popular disenchantment with what he described as the “epic failures of the ruling party is not enough, if APC didn’t properly mobilize and galvanise Nigerians on the imperatives of change to replace the current order of despair and despondency”.

He explained that ruling parties in Africa are always desperate to retain power, regardless of performance, and that they won’t mind using every methods, however ignoble, to retain power at all costs.

“If the PDP could commit injustice against its own members, nothing would stop them from attempting to subvert the will of the voters in the February general elections if not checked by the APC,” he said.

He therefore called for increased vigilance and greater voter education by the opposition leaders and its supporters.

Mr. Borishade said that the PDP will automatically collapse at the polling station next month if the opposition leaders work and sustain the momentum for change.

He noted that while he was impressed with the APC mass appeal, there is still the need to seize the moment and enlighten its supporters on how to vote properly to minimize cases of voided votes.

The former DG advised the opposition leaders not to rest on their oars because so much still needs to be done to oust the PDP at the February general elections.

Prof, you are right! Jo-Nothing has nothing to loose. A president who said yesterday that he is planing on how to tackle corruptions after 6 years. One more thing Prof, do you think this Jo-Nothing really worked for the Phd. or he might have stolen it. I know you are educationist, please help?

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      lol, Johnson.

I swear, that Ph.D belonged to a dead fish!

I saw the fish and its doctorate swimming down River Otuoke before it was ensnared in Aunty Patience’s basket.

The fish was subsequently buried in a pot of pepper soup the following morning and interred with a bottle of Sapele Water!!

Nigerians and their short memory. Look at Disgraceful Aborisade whose tenure witnessed the dropping of aero planes anyhow. Most of the planes in his tenure are worse than molue. It was during his time airline operators were using kerosene to fuel planes in Nigeria. Today, he has become progressive under Buhari. Prof, you still remains the greatest failure in the history of airline operations in Nigeria.

I’ve been thinking the same lately I read what Fayose said during their meeting to mobilise for GEJ re-election, that’s a do-or-die. APC need to work extra harder if not next month election would be worse rigged election technically. I’m still reasoning what exactly they are banking on to get sympathy votes like 2011. Who ever has ear let him/her hear what the Spirit pass through original Professor and not fake Doctoral degree that cannot be defended.

Every failure in Nigeria—can be turned into a SAINT-the moment HE OR HE BECOMES a born AgAin disciple of the NIGHT SOIL MEN ND JUJU PRIEST IN APC—This is a man who has turned everything that he touches into failure–From the defeat of Atiku to his work in the Aviation Industry–now advising Buhari to buckle up instead of pleading with him to dust up the photo-copies of his credentials for public scrutiny-If the ongoing certificate scandal had involved president Jonathan, the entire country would have been set ablaze by APC—–Besides who are d people in APC are they not all from PDP?–THE DEVIL WE KNOW in Jonathan IS BETTER THAN THE ANGEL we know nothing about IN BUHARI
