Aloysius Ogwu, the husband of Joy Ogwu, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, is dead.
A statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN, New York, on Thursday, said Mr. Aloysius died on Monday in New York, aged 77.
Mr. Aloysius retired as Chief Consultant Surgeon at the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos.
He is survived by his wife; Joy, five children, grand-children, sisters and brothers.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.
