The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has arrived the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ms May, who alighted from her official grey SUV with registration number 138 CMD just after 1:00 p.m. was received by President Muhammadu Buhari and other officials of government.

She shook hands with Mr Buhari and took photographs before stepping in to the office at 1.06 p.m.

This is Ms May’s first official visit to Nigeria. It is part of her trip to select sub-Saharan African countries, her first as British PM.

Ms May was in South Africa on Tuesday where she met with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
