Nnamdi Kanu: Why we fired warning shots in Umuahia – Nigerian Army

Nigerian Army
Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army on Sunday said its personnel fired warning shots to disperse hoodlums who lobbed stones and broken bottles against them during a procession in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The Army was countering the account of Mr. Kanu, which had said soldiers stormed his residence in the Abia State capital, killing and injuring occupants in a bid to attack the separatist activist.

“The attention of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army has been drawn to fictitious news going round especially on the social media that troops have invaded the home of Nnamdi Kanu and killed three persons.

“This is far from the truth. Rather, it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State at about 6.00-6.30pm, today. They insisted that the military vehicles would not pass and started pelting the soldiers with stones and broken bottles to the point of injuring an innocent female passerby and a soldier, Corporal Kolawole Mathew.

“The troops fired warning shots in the air and the hoodlums dispersed. No life was lost,” the Army said in a statement signed by Oyegoke Gbadamosi, a major and assistant deputy spokesperson of the 14 Brigade.

The Army’s account corroborated police’s statement on the incident.

“There was no attack on the home of Nnamdi Kanu,” Abia police commissioner, Leye Oyebade, told PREMIUM TIMES by telephone Sunday evening.

“What happened was that the military was parading a new armoured carrier and passed through Nnamdi Kanu’s residence.

“It was while they were passing that some people threw stones and other things at them,” Mr. Oyebade explained.

The police chief said normalcy has been restored and no life was lost during the minor skirmish. He said Mr. Kanu was neither targeted nor arrested.

But Mr. Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, had painted a different account of what transpired at the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, saying there was a siege.

In a statement, Mr. Ejiofor accused the Buhari administration of attempting to take his client’s life.

“Just to alert the world that the Nigeria military personnel under the command of Chief of Army Staff is presently laying a siege on my client (Nnamdi Kanu) country home in umuahia.

“They had continued to shot sporadically into the air through which assault, about five of his family members were brutally wounded and some unfortunately killed. There is no doubt that the present deployment of troops to the South East is to haunt for my client and possibly eliminate him,” the statement said.

Mr. Ejiofor added that if something goes wrong with his client’s life, the international would hold the country’s president responsible.

The Army urged the public to disregard reports or videos purporting serious injuries or casualties during the skirmish, warning “mischief makers” of grave consequences.

“We would like to use this opportunity to warn mischief makers threatening the peace and security of the country through falsehood such as above,” Mr. Gbadamosi said.

The Nigerian government is currently pursuing revocation of Mr. Kanu’s bail, after the IPOB leader allegedly breached the conditions of his bail which was granted to him by the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, where he faces treason charges.

The revocation motion, which was filed by the Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, is expected to be heard in October.

What a country, this guys (NA), are trying so hard to purge us into anarchy in this country. You’re still fighting boko haram, and you want to start another one in the East?,these guys are still peaceful protesters, ignore them!SMH!!

    • MilitaryPolice01

      Two urgent questions for you:

      1. Do peaceful protesters throw stones at military personnel?

      2. How can a people be purged into anarchy?

      Thank you.

      • Ayinde

Equal and proportionate force is shooting rounds into people with broken bottles and stones. haha NA.

      • Tony Z

        1. What is an armoured tanker doing in front of Kanu’s house (a residential area),if not to look for trouble? so now you’ll justify another blood letting from NA because of stones thrown to armoured tanker? Keep supporting evil.
        2. Corrected.
        Thank you.

        • MilitaryPolice01

It is well. Have a blessed week.

          • Tony Z

            You too bro, one love.

        • whereto

Your first question has me concerned for you. Is this how you will run your biafra? Anyone can lay claim to the public road in front of his house and ban the army from using it? Please ask zakzaky how it’s likely to end.
Meanwhile, the fg needs to take legal action against kanu’s lawyer and his megaphone ffk.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

You have no grey matter in your skull, you cannot think properly just because you must support evil.

          • Höly Wähala

Tell him about the Palestinian “intifada” wars against Isreali soldiers… don’t slack!

          • Onye Obosi

            new EMT job I guess.
This one na for Kwarangida, abi ochanja?
            Professional e-rat nwuru anwu!

          • whereto

Lol!! I don’t engage mad people.

          • Tony Z

Concerned for me? why? cos I refuse to support evil? You can keep gloating on other peoples demise, thats your cup of tea. You can as well ask FG how Yusuf boko haram is going.

        • aisha ani

Same thing it was doing in front of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s house before the 2015 elections.

          • Tony Z

And that was still wrong then!

        • persona

The recording began right by his house. The joint patrol has passed right past other people’s houses…if you would agree.
The police and military usually do this routinely if they know a person attracts a large following. The same happened to Tinubu and rather, it was stationed there not that it passed by.
Its interesting that the guys who stood against the general during the religious walk also felt that the soldiers had to be “contained/ constrained/ restricted/ confined/ dictated to as regards where they need to be”. El Zakky is still incarcerated while Kanu was having an evening rest.
Had the soldiers come alone, I would have tagged it provocation, they came with police to tone things down. The fact that plenty people were on hand to resist the passage of the tanks, it tells that the patrol was not forceful as we all saw as the tank took its time to make a turn along that street.
The military should calm down and so should Kanu. If either decide to not hold their horses, the unimaginable will happen. Calmer heads should prevail.

          • Tony Z

Dude, stop making excuses for NA ( I don’t want to say, stop supporting evil), what is bad is bad…be it on Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. The polity is already hit up, why make it worse?now an unarmed civilian is dead!!

          • persona

Chief, the question is, who heated up the polity? Kanu was part of it with all his rhetoric and he would not back down. Show of force anywhere is done globally and trust me, Korea, Japan and others have done it close to the territory of North Korea. This is not supporting evil, we all shouted what was GEJ looking when BH was also making such rhetoric then till it became a global terror issue by kidnapping kids. I don’t like the fact they discharged any bullet but if a soldier was indeed attacked(because we saw many IPOB members throw stuff at the tank), he had the right to self defense. Please, let us tone things down on “ALL” sides. The military needs better discipline, same for police and definitely civilians. Let us all be civil.

          • Tony Z

You are still making excuses for them, anyways let people like you keep making excuses for the despicable behaviour from our military, from Shiites to SS then Igbo people, you never know who’s next. Like I said, evil is evil, no matter who’s on the receiving end. On your Korea, Japan example, it is totally different especially when it is another hostile country (North Korea) not your own citizens.

          • persona

Sir, Tinubu was sieged with APC and I don’t recall you saying it was wrong.
The issue is, it has touched everyone and I did state that everyone with a large following should also be responsible. In the dark NADECO days, members were from all over the country and they all suffered even as they didn’t fire any shot in retaliation, they coordinated themselves and it birthed this same democracy of ours that gave us more rights than we had under the military. I am not making excuses, my point is clear, he guys drove past other houses, how come no skirmishes? The team Kanu said 3 people were killed, we are waiting for the bodies or they should be charged for trying to incite the public. The only video produced was from the IPOB side but I saw in the same video, provocations before the warning shots were fired. Both sides have things to tidy up, does that sound like a defense of one side? Chief, let us all learn to stay with the proper narrative.

          • Tony Z

Tinubus siege was wrong too…on your other points Sir, I rest my case.

          • persona

I believe like every other developed societies, pressure and placing blame appropriately eventually reformed their societies.
Till date, blacks are easy targets of police in America. The issue is that every society abuses their sacred duties. Myanmar, Saudi, China, etc also have issues. In Singapore, you cant chew gum, you will be lashed. China controls the internet, Saudi women cant drive…people have to keep speaking and bringing attention out there. I suppose we all owe that duty to our bro and sisters in this country irrespective of if you support secession or not. Wrongs on both sides should be castigated is my position.

          • Tony Z

I do not support secession, but I despise injustice. What is wrong is wrong….you sound like (no insult intended) Trump blaming both sides in the last white nationalist rally (nazis), when one side is fighting for freedom for all and the other side fighting to kill everyone else not white..

          • persona

Hahaha, Trump was playing to the gallery to support his base and truth is, except we intend to lie, I saw cutlass, bottles and I did see them throw stuff at the tank…that was the first attack and not like the issue Trump tried to defend. I blame the Soldiers for parading to show so called force needlessly but they went about it in a civil manner using police. It may also have been what we call a tripwire, to see what the IPOB guys would come up with as I believe it was more of ISR than so called show of force. Nonetheless, I have stated clearly that all should calm down, calmer heads should prevail and that victory for any side is not via violence. Nigerians should speak up more and that is how we will get to where we need to be.

          • Tony Z

You sound like you are playing to the gallery as well…if you look at Trumps argument, the other side had baseball bats as well…but still, there is no way to equate nazi and any group, no matter what, likewise in this unfortunate incident..
            1. You have an army that should not be anywhere near a village to test out their new hardware which is BS, not to talk of in front of Kanu’s house.
            2. You have an army with assorted weapon and armoured tanker against machete (according to you) and stones?.
            3. We know is on record, that these people have been peaceful.
…..so no matter how you twist it bro, the NA totally goofed, and mind you, a lot of Igbos are on the fence about this Biafra issue, this kind of move by by NA recruits more foot soldiers for Kanu, let us thread carefully, diplomacy is the key not force.

          • persona

You seem to be agreeing with me that both sides and truth is, except you didn’t watch the video, they were not only armed, they used them by throwing at the NA guys.
My gladness is that, you seem to agree that violence does no one any good and diplomacy should be explored.
I fault the military deployment but as I told you, it was an ISR mission and not the show of force…that was the best they could put out their. They came to surveil and they turned back when the guys decided to regroup. Nigerians should generally calm down and do more talking constructively.

    • Nigeriamovingforward

Rubbish, terrorist don’t do peaceful protest. It’s about time the Nigerian govt rein in these terrorists.

      • Tony Z

Terrorist indeed….can you list the terrorist attacks they’ve committed thus far?

    • AryLoyds

      DOnt mind the Fulani army

  • GusO

Bald lies by Kanu’s lawyer who called on the international community to come to Kanu’s aid, yet the videos show that Kanu’s unemployed youthful supporters were the aggressors. They’re playing dangerously with fire because a less disciplined patrol unit could have shot some of them for injuring one soldier with stones and broken bottles. Now Igbo Ohaeneze and mainstream political leadership will not condemn the false alarm and injury to a soldier because they’re the secret sponsors of IPOB. Meanwhile, Army lawyers should sue Kanu’s lawyer for libel.

  • Agba

Nigeria army can lie, something on video tape?what a shameful nation

  • Nigeriamovingforward

Rubbish from the terrorist Cownu and his half baked lawyer. What the names of those killed? Where are there pictures?

  • Emeka

The miscreant Kanu who escaped to the UK, obtained British citizenship and collecting unemployment benefits is the aggressor. He assembled unemployed youth in Umuahia to protect him as the video shows these boys hurling stones at the Nigerian Army. Which country tolerates such lawlessness from misinformed followers of IPOB?

    • Jon

In civilized Western democracies, they do not use soldiers for crowd control. Someone should tell Buhari and his soldiers that this is an unwarranted provocation.

Buhari and his parasitic Hausa/Fulani parasites should listen to the mood of the nation with reference to restructuring Nigeria. The agenda of Yoruba summit of September 7 in restructuring Nigeria should immediately be implemented before the next Presidential election. Buhari, why are you and your parasitic Hausa/Fulani parasites afraid of restructuring? Hausa/Fulani, Bara wo. Hausa/Fulani, ole.

      • musa aliyu

Hausa Fulani want Biafra. They said yibos should leave and they feared. Pronto they turn to ‘restructuring’- whatever that means. Nincompoops

      • marcos avelino

No restructuring any nonsense Nigeria will remain as it is and you will be crushed and exterminated. You should be grateful your puny SE of less than half of Borno or Niger state was divided into 5 yet you want more. Criminal forest savages the white man found naked only 100 years ago calling fulanis parasites – a people who had an empire 100 times the size of your gully eroded cursed land

    • Höly Wähala

Yoropigs like you with fraudulent Ibo names are expected to be elated by this news, since when did you start believing official versions of events in Nigeria? A video is better than a picture which only speaks a thousand words… go and watch the video to see a gaping bullet wound on the lap of one of the unarmed youths. In your wicked, bigoted yoropig’s mind, it was fine to shoot at civilians even if they hauled stones at passing soldiers abi? Sadist! No wonder your kin are breaking skulls in Ikorodu in the name of Badoo cult and selling the blood of their victims in handkerchiefs to ritualists like your ignorant self. If you had sane brains you would wonder whether the streets in a town are the appropriate place for the military to parade their hardware… Senseless son of a yoro höre. Thunder fire you dia, ofeke!

Efulefu! In Germany where you are on lifetime asylum do you come out with your stinking black skin to confront the army or you hide behind your master white woman to type away nonsense? • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

A most irresponsible military, “show of force” to intimidate a peaceful Igbo civilian population in the SE WHILE THE armed Boko-haram are busy killing Nigerians and burning villages in the north. Buhari should be ashamed of his antics, even at his age he still craves the blood of unarmed civilians just because they are not Muslims like him and because they are Christians. Those who sponsor this illiterate tyrant from abroad had better put some caution on him before he plunges the entire region into a long and destructive asymmetric conflict.

WHY THIS BAND OF THUGS IN UNIFORM HAVE TO TEST NEW ARMOURED MILITARY VEHICLES IN THE STREETS OF A CIVILIAN POPULATED TOWN INSTEAD OF THE SAMBISA FOREST WHERE THE BOKO-HARAM STILL CONTROLS IS INEXPLICABLE. A CIVILIAN KILLING ARMY IS A 21ST CENTURY SHAME FOR NIGERIA.

    • musa aliyu

Have U been to the sambisa to see whether new arms are not there? Sambisa , for ur information, is larger than ur SE 3x. So keep ur trap shut!!! Shameless u, hiding under the canopy of Christianity to perpetuate crime. Which Christianity instructs U to cheat, drug-peddle, baby-factorise, dupe the innocent? Better go take ur Sapele water from the stipend U collect from ur sponsors, the trounced pdpigs

      • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

KEEP QUIET YOU UNCIVILIZED !! SHEKAU MADE A VIDEO THERE A FEW DAYS AGO AND CIRCULATED IT ON THE www. BOKO-HARAM HAS KILLED AT LEAST 20 NIGERIANS IN THE NE IN THE LAST 28 HOURS AND BURNT VILLAGES WHILE YOUR ILL-TRAINED THUGS ARE BUSY DISGRACING THEMSELVES AMONGST UNARMED CIVILIANS IN THE SE.

      • BenAri22

Musa, read your words to see how bitter they are. If you are so bitter, why on earth do you want to remain in the same country as those you are bitter against? Why don’t you join those advocating for separation, so you will only ever surround yourself with people who look like you, speak like you, believe like you and think like you. Wouldn’t that be better? Wouldn’t you be happier? The end of all this bitterness is separation, if only you had eyes to see. Why not start planning for it? Why fight it? Do you lack confidence in the abilities of your region? You might surprise yourselves…..

        • AryLoyds

Please ignore that lesser animal called Musa he is trying so hard to defend his Fulani kinsmen for killing innocent people when both in uniform and as herdsmen

      • Epsilon_Delta

3x Greater than southeast, size of Belgium but the most backwards location on the planet. You should be ashamed.

  • Höly Wähala

“Rather, it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State at about 6.00-6.30pm, today.” – Oyegoke Gbadamosi, NA

Only in Nigeria do military show of force occur in townships and residential areas at 6.00-6.30pm on a Sunday evening. How would the North have perceived a military show of force along major streets of Kano on Sallah day of Eid el Qa’ta led by Gen, Ihejirika of blessed memory? This was provocation pure, it was an unwise sabble-rattling to go parading military hardware in an area known for restive agitation for self-rule. Not even the mad North Korean Kim parades his war missiles along Bank Roads in Pyungyen… Buhari don colo. Lol

    • persona

Bros, your humor in this clash of narrative suggest that you tend to disagree with the lawyer who is claiming body bags and cant show them.
Anyways, as much as I think that the military should have shown restraints, the background story should be looked into:
1- The military and police hardly do joint patrol. The fact this happened, it shows that police was the cover for the military as APC no dey carry siren. Police had chosen to use the siren to “clear road” for soja.
2- I counted atleast 2 police Hilux vans while the APC was in the middle. A gunnery soldier is seen on the APC and truth is, if he wanted to shoot directly, soldiers are trained to shoot and cause maximum impact…bullet cos and no be thigh he go shoot the guy, I suspect that na ricochet. The guy suppose thank God say no be him blokus.
3- The patrol was for surveillance and not show of force. They came to know where their target is. ISR operation in this case was very civil. Had the military chosen to be hostile, they would not have turned from the street they wanted to pass through which incidentally had more IPOB members/sympathizers.
4- Kanu should be very “calm” and should measure his words and so should his lawyer. Falana na Zaki lawyer, he is yet to even get the kain arrange bail FG did for Kanu. How does a judge claim that a man is ill because he refuses to stand in the dock? The judge na doctor? Kanu refused to stand because he had said in a video that he doesn’t regard the Nigerian court. Anyways, I will hope that calmer heads will prevail.
5- The “show of force” totally debunks Uwazurike’s claim that FG bought mansion for Kanu in the UK and that it was a ploy to ensure that Obiano no run. Had that been the case, soldiers for no come for evening when people fit see dem. Even DSS no show for evening when dem come for justices, if na action soja come do, na paratrooper for land.
      Anyhow, how you dey?

  • AFRICANER

Historically, in the 1960’s the Igbos managed to do one thing correctly, which was to eliminate the head of the terrorist Fulanis that threatened the Igbos lives and property. That was quite effective. The Igbos did not go for the ordinary useless man and woman Fulani, otherwise known as civilians.

An eye for an EYE. If they are doing this violence in the SE, why should they rest in the NW? Why must the theater always be in the east? All those working to emancipate their people, should be braver. No one should rest in any part of the country, if one part is not resting.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

It is actually very correct to refer to Nigeria as a ZOO, IN FACT MOST ZOOS IN EUROPE AND THE USA PROTECT ANIMALS MORE THAN BUHARI AND HIS THUGS RESPECT NIGERIANS.

Despite Buhari’s irrelevant invasion of Umuahia

      There are now
28 million un-employed youths inside Nigeria today – a staggering figure
equal to the entire population of Ghana; a neighbouring West African country,
according to a latest official bulletin issued by the federal Nigerian Bureau
of Statistics. The new jobless figure in Nigeria today is over half the whole
population of Nigeria at independence on October 1st, 1960 and equal to
all the living human beings in Ghana.

Igbo were forewarned about this likely turn of events. They chose to follow Kanu, their supreme leader who they also claim is greater than Jesus.
Kanu MUST be arrested by 15 September 2017 or soonest thereafter.
Kanu’s Ipob is a criminal group because; Kanu asked Igbo in diaspora for money to buy arms to wage a war of secession against Nigeria; Kanu asked his followers to KILL “Yorobastards”; Kanu threatened to KILL ex-President Obasanjo and his family; Kanu set up BSS which will now morph into a guerilla army to fight the Nigerian Army.
Osinbajo treated Kanu with civility in Buhari’s absence but Kanu took it as evidence of his untouchability.

      • Rossy1

You are very silly and unfortunately the government and the military are full of people like you. Why should the military be testing armored vehicle and weponry on a private neighbourhood. What do they want to achieve by that. Instead of you to be educated inclusive your deranged leaders on how best to handle constitutional matters your likes and the illitrate leaders are making a laughing stuck of the entirety of the black race. Nonsense.

        • persona

Chief, lets take things in perspective. The same guys passed right past other people’s houses also and a siren was blared to let people be aware that a drill was happening.
We cant blame the soldiers alone without blaming those that resisted and threw items at the patrol team.
During the protest in Charlottesville, a protester that pelted the police was also shot at with teargas canister at his groin. My point is, we cant blame one without blaming the other.
The Niger Delta also had the heavy deployment of soldiers, until a team of soldiers on patrol was killed by ambush, the military never attacked anyone. We all should be advocating that calmer heads should prevail. We can achieve whatever it is we desire through words and not violence…”on both sides”

          • Rossy1

Well u have a point with regards to the examples you gave however i think the actions of the federal government and its military against the IPOB members and its leader since the inception of this government smacks of outright intimidation and cruel thus falls outside acceptable norms in a civil society.
Soldiers by definition are constituted to aim and kill as such can not be a proper tool to curb demosnstrations of any type albeit a very legitimate armless gathering in a private quater/ residential area. Injustice must be condemned because it can take a different shape tomorrow.

          • persona

I agree that they shouldn’t be brought in. I also believe that bringing the police along during the last event, was meant to not provoke but to surveil what IPOB members were up to and soldiers were there to contain any issue should it get ugly with the police.
As I have said, the military, FG, IPOB and even citizens could all calm down and have decent discussions without name calling. You may have also known that even respondents online have used very derogatory names at others they don’t even know just because they differ in opinions. We all should calm down and make our points without taking extreme measures. The brink we got before the elections were over, it took foreign governments in our territorial waters to make us behave contrary to what some may have told us that they wanted peace. The nation have few people who tend to heat things up, we should likewise address them.

Nigeria is governed by a constitution that forbids secession. Nigeria created an Army to defend her territory from secessionists. Kanu/Ipob/BSS are secessionists so Nigerian Army are neutralising their threat to our territorial integrity with appropriate force.
Be mindful that in our Army a Major is authorised to order troops to shoot-to-kill in fulfilling their mission without seeking clearance from above, except he has been specifically asked to seek clearance.
This is the quagmire the Igbo have walked into with their eyes open.
        Q.E.D

        • Senator D

You such an Olodo…Old USSR was a nation with unhappy marginalized minority who wanted secession and despite the intimidation and millitary threats USSR still broke up and Heaven didn’t fall … Nigeria will break-up because people’s will are above the desire of lying Northerners and false prophets who are merchandising from Church population from the South Easterners and South Southerners…

          • Sarah

Keep on sending your youth to confront our Army and lets see how it will end.
It is just the beginning and you are all screaming already.
A word is enough for the wise.

  • aisha ani

Sounds like officer Oyebade was trying to translate Yoruba directly to English, “the military was parading a new armoured carrier and passed through Nnamdi Kanu’s residence”. Translation, “won gba ile Kanu ko ja”. They did not pass thru Kanu’s residence unless there are two gates going in and out. Haba!

    • PolyGon2013

Either way, the message is clear. You should be talking about the violation of Kanu’s civil right. Army should not invade his residence.

      • PREITY

Hmmmmm, really had to see the moniker again to confirm its polygon, it is well.

        • PolyGon2013

I don’t give a hoot about Ibo’s leaving Nigeria. However, I won’t subscribe to any violation of their human rights. At the end of the day, when/if you have your Biafra, don’t you think it would be beneficial to be good neighbors? Go and find out about Eritrea and Ethiopia, and you would see the reason why breaking up on a bad note is is not desirable. Have a nice day. Yep, it is yours sincerely, PolyGon2013, PhD, LLB, DSc, Alhaji, HRH, and even Igwe.

          • PREITY

            Lol! Igwe polygon.

    • Epsilon_Delta

He just confirmed IPob’s version of the story.

  • aisha ani

Operation Python dance has started. Kanu stepped on the “two headed python”, needless to say….he will not escape this one. He that has ears let him hear, if you live in Kanu’s neighborhood better clear out FAST!!!

      @aishaani:disqus;

Nigeria under Buhari: State of the Nation

Fish rots from the head. Any government led by a Primary Six certificate holder
can’t be sensible or thoughtful but brutish and nasty. Were Muhamadu Buhari’s
shambolic government in Nigeria itself studded less by morons it would only be
      funny, rather than this tragic.

Alas, with a retard like Lai Muhammed as Buhari’s
Information Minister, a near-cretin who cannot yet logically explain how President
Buhari’s ear infection led inexorably to blood transfusion for 103 days in London
      ,
but who continues to draw salary, nonetheless, for lacking in believability, the first
qualification for the job, even as he’s surrounded by jaded creatures in his own image,
such as 77-year-old Duro Onabule – who himself holds tight to a virtual sinecure post as N.T.A
Chairman, but with nothing to show for it in the public interest other than his own personal benefits,
salary and allowances; whilst N.T.A rots into a mess, the Buhari government was metaphorically dead
      on arrival.

      Muhamadu Buhari does not know
but neither does his mediocre cabinet know, that secession by declaration
of self-government is lawful activity under current international law, according to
the declaration of the International Court of Justice. A primeval government stuck in
the olden days, which deploys troops to kill lawful agitators of secessionist self-determination,
even in the course of a bogus show of force, will risk jailing under international law as it stands.

    • Parka

Story, Operation python dance can’t be up-to half of biafra war in d next 10yrs …IPOB $ supreme leader Nnamdi Kanu can’t be intimidated by d zoo military .. Is not stupidity forcing people to be part ur zoo

          • Julius

No, they are exposing kanu to the international community for who and what he is. Now, when y’all started begging them, they will have something to say. Even Trump your savior won’t tolerate anybody threatening his country.

    • Iskacountryman

      how many were impregnated?…

  • Jo Zideke

They are idiots, they just wanted to try the military. If they think they are strong why didnt they attack with their so called Biafra army they claimed they have trained.Only warning shots & they are crying, yelling ,panting & weeping on social media. They only wanted to steal our military weapons & just warning shots & they are running helter skelter.

    • Parka

as a cretin u r $ animals in a zoo wl continue to think like animals $ wl always remain in d zoo, Biafra must go $ has nothing to do with u $ ur so called zoo military, remember IPOB $ supreme leader Kanu are freedom fighters without weapons. … Let ur military reside Nnamdi Kanu’s house ..Biafra can’t not be part of zoo any longer

      • Jo Zideke

supreme leader Kanu ? HAAAAA!!!!! You are finished. So he is now your god.You are finished Kpatakpata.

        • Parka

Cos u r from d zoo $ wl always remain in d zoo 4ever until u understand that the supreme leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi is different from God, tell ur military to go $ fight ur zoo unendung fight with Boko Haram killing ur people in d north $ ur zoo military ever day… South east is a peaceful region $ Israel (biafra) must go wether pharoah(buhari zoo’s president) like it or not… Military should stop denying that they invaded Nnamdi kanu’s home.. Is a matter of small time , Biafra is close to being actualised no matter what happens… IPOB $ Nnamdi kanu can not be intimidated.. Let’s watch out

          • Jo Zideke

What has just happens is just a mere nothing.Because you call Nigeria zoo,YOU & YOUR KANU WILL BE CONFINED & RESTRICTED TO YOUR HOLES & POWER & WATER WILL BE CUT OFF & BY THE TIME YOU EXHAUST YOUR SMALL FOODS,THEN YOU RESULT TO EATING ANTS & COCKROACHES.THEN YOU WILL GO ON YOUR KNEES.then we shall know who will look like animals in the zoo.

    • djay

Don’t mind them. Tompolo a strong militant has been in hidding since the court ordered his arrest.

      • Parka

Cos u r from d zoo, think like d zoo $ belong to d zoo, u can’t understand d different between Nnamdi kanu, his struggle $ that of Tompolo.

        • djay

Then you are from where? You are just an ignorant kid that can’t tell the difference from herbs and vegetable.

    • Senator D

      You are an e-idiot!

      • Uzoma John

And you are what? You Kanu supporters are irritants.

        • Senator D

Then let them go! Ibo’s agitation is a reflection of the mindset and feelings of the other minority groups in Nigeria…From Southern Kaduna down to Ijaw land!

          • Uzoma John

There is a legal and constitutional process for “going”. If I should help you, ask Ekweremadu and other lawmakers of Igbo extraction to table the motion for constitutional amend to accommodate secession and Referendum. As it stands, the constitution does not support what you guys want. Please follow that process. Let our people like Kanu and his followers stop all these shenanigans. You guys should grow up and do the right thing. Stop heating up the polity and creating problem for innocent Umu Igbo.

          • Senator D

You think it hasn’t been tabled and suggested? Or you think I don’t know what am saying?

          • Uzoma John

Who tabled it please inform us? All action by Kanu is illegal, I repeat illegal. Kanu is not an elected representative of Ndi Igbo. Let him write and sponsor a bill himself and forward to Ekweremadu, Hope Uzodinma or Abaribe, then we’ll know he’s talking. And the Bill will be debated and cause to have members vote on it before we know if he can get Biafra or not. But as it stands all his actions and inaction stand illegal the reason he is not receiving any form of support from Internal Community. He is an opportunist looking for settlement. Unfortunately, GEJ was sacked by Nigerians. A knew sheriff has since been in town, a no nonsense man for that matter. Advise your man to be law abiding in his pursuit for an el dorado Biafra, if not he will be committed to the gulag for the rest of his life.

          • Senator D

First the Constitution was faulty and foisted on all other minority ethnic group by the Janjaweed Fulani Northerners. Every move to amend that constitution has been met with stiff opposition from them. They have done everything possible to prospect for Oil in the North to no avail… What are they afraid of? Just because they are Parasites…!!!

          • tundemash

Stop spreading lies. The only body constitutionally empowered to amend or alter the constitution is the National Assembly. So tell us when your representative tabled this constitutional amendement.

          • Senator D

Monkey! was it any National Assembly that wrote this constitution in 1999?

          • tundemash

Kid, you just confirmed you are a mor0n. Does the law say the body that wrote the constitution must amend it ?

          • Senator D

Grandfather you just confirmed you are brain-dead as your Bubu by forcing a Union which is NOT constitutional from the beginning because the constitution was written by a few for others…If I was not part of an agreement how is that agreement document binding on me???

          • tundemash

Mor0n, name one country where the whole populace wrote the constitution ? Be part of the writing of a new constitution by discussing your “problems” with your National Assembly Representative who would table that matter before the constitution amendment committee. Dunce, go and learn how to conduct yourself in a democracy !

          • Senator D

Mumuty atleast collective representation all over the world is what makes a constitution binding…E-diot!

          • tundemash

Hence table your matter via your elected representative. Getting high on cheap weed and repeating lies online isn;t ” collective representation”.

          • tundemash

            jeezzzzz ! what a warped mind !

          • Uzoma John

If the constitution is faulty, why come online to tell me. You know where the National Assembly is. Just go there and sponsor a Bill to amend the faulty part. As it stands, you and Kanu will continue to rant. You can do what you want and face the consequence. Don’t drag other well-meaning Ndi Igbo into your illegality. You have changed the topic to oil since you’ve failed to address the burning issue here.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

GO AND HANG IF FREEDOM HURTS YOU !!

          • Uzoma John

Freedom from who or where? Misguided elements. You are far away just ranting. Come back home and lead the freedom fight. Ndi nzuzu.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

            Sabo nwuru anwu .

          • Senator D

Which Constitution? The one that favors the parasitic North? The one written by Northerners for the rest of Nigerians???

          • Julius

True and some other minorities in your so called land that want’s nothing to do with biafraud. Can you also acknowledge them ?

      • Julius

lolz, na lie the dude talk ? I see that you can’t dispute him but call him names ..so typical

  • Champ

FMC – world bank road, Umuahia town. Kanu’s residence in Afara-ukwu.

  • DePrince Hab

I see most Nigerians are hypocrite and racist when addressing issues that concern the whole Nation, May God help you all so that you can leave every act of stupidity that is flowing in your vein

  • Obinwanne Biafra

If the zoo army thinks that they can concoct cock and bull story by saying that they where blocked and then use it as a reason to attack the home of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to assassinate him, i will tell them to think again because it has failed on arrival. This is the way they attacked and massacred the SHIITES MUSLIM claiming they blocked they way. Why should they be parading armoured tanks in peoples home, not just any home but the home of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra Ohamadike Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. How many times have their paraded tanks accross Borno and the territory of Boko Haram? If anything happens to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu i swear with the last drop of my blood Nigeria and the world will witness what they have never seen before. The world should act fast now that there is still time, call Nigeria and her shameless untrained military to order, fix a date for the referendum of the people of Biafra. Self determination is not a crime, it is a universal right of every indigenous population.

The way am seeing it things may soon get out of hand because Nigeria as a zoo it is; Nigerians don’t reason, her government does not even understand the meaning of self determination and democracy infact they are clueless. Nigeria army is shameless, they derive joy in attacking innocent unarmed lawful people of Biafra while running away from Boko Haram terrorists who are terrorizing, bombing, killing and kidnapping Nigerian people. No Boko Haram has been killed or arrested.

    • thusspokez

If the zoo army thinks that they can concoct cock and bull story by saying that they where blocked and then use it as a reason to attack the home of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to assassinate him, i will tell them to think again…

Well then, don’t give the Nigerian army any reason to concoct ‘cock and bull’ story if you don’t want it to concoct ‘cock and bull’ story, there!

  • Matthew keyh

Nigerian military parading an armoured carrier in a civilian zone or residential areas is an act of repression and unwarranted provocation moreover near Nnamdi kanu fathers residence ,Is a residential areas where no crime or war is taken place the right place to parade military hardware ,it is like A unit of the UK army parading military hardware in a local community like Conniburrow Milton Keynes in England then Theresa may would have a lot of explanation to make The various agitation going on in Nigeria to date is an act of bad government and corruption which had pervaded the country for many many years ,Unfortunately the Northern elites in the Military and their civilian collaborators held power in Nigeria for more than 40years of Nigeria independence leading the country into the pallous state we are at the moment ,this singular act has created a Nigeria which remain underdeveloped massive unemployment among the youths ,frustration ,massive poverty in the North and beggars ,The situation in Nigeria needs Political solution not military solution ,not a blame game or who is right or wrong .Arresting Nnamdi Knau tomorrow would not stop any agitation ,Nigeria needs to go back to the Post Independence Regional government headed by the late Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa with this Nigeria would be at her best

    • Delta_Quagmire

Unnecessary provocation by the Nigerian army to intimidate and harass law abiding citizens.

      • Julius

Is there a law against the army from parading on the street of any city in the country ? What would you call what kanu has been doing to the country..besides, kanu invited them and threatening them that they will all die if they come to ‘his country’. Now, they are there.

  • Solomon Brown

PMB never ceases to amaze me, what do you need a show of force for in the south east ? The people are not up in arms against the federal govt, stretching the army thin isn’t a spot you want to be in as c-in-c, especially when you are still battling radical islamic terrorists in the north, leaders are known to be calm, thorough and insightful but this Buhari thinks and acts like a rascal, that is all he will ever amount to, a rascal with some power. Sad.

    • Uzoma John

Show of force is meant for trouble makers like Kanu who has been taken laws into his hands to carry out a whole lot of illegal activities, eg, conscripting of Secret Service, hate speech, threatening election, etc. Until our political representatives move a motion for referendum and independence, Kanu and his supporters remain interlopers.

      • Solomon Brown

Show some force in sambisa and stop harassing folks who want equal representation and a system of justice. Grow up.

        • Uzoma John

Sambisa’s force is there and has intensified, the reason you and Kanu should beware. Stop creating problems for innocent Ndi Igbo. We the wahala starts, Kanu will run away and the innocent dies.

  • Senator D

These Ibos that are called ritualistic people, kidnappers, drug peddlers, baby factories and so many unprintable names finally want to leave you to enjoy your Nigeria and you say it’s by-force they must stay? Nah wah ooooo…. Double-speaking is too much for these Parasites from the North!!!

    • M

So why are we hearing more stories of ritual killings in the South West? Please don’t throw stones from a glass house before you hurt yourself. Every tribe in Nigeria has ritualistic roots, form north to south, east to west. Don’t wash your dirty linen in public by trying to paint one tribe as being more ritualistic than others.

      • Senator D

Did you read the satire in my comments??? I meant these Ibos have been called names and yet they refuse them to go…

        • Julius

Stop lying…AGAIN. This excuse is getting lme and old. Nobody is holding you back. You can start leaving by moving back to your “country”..Is there anybody stopping y’all from doing that ?. Arewa boys were trying to help you and you turned them down..stop the madness and the lies.

          • Akiika

They refuse to leave the other part of Nigeria they’ve been scavenging. First step is to move en mass to the East, resign all FG appointments and jobs, refuse allocation from FG. Then we will know they are serious.

          • Julius

Amen but, you know they won’t do that because their crying for separation and some damn country is a fraud. Watch them ranting bull-shit about some imaginary properties…which many of them don’t have. They claim they own 98% of Lagos and 89 % of Abuja, imagine that….what a fraud !

  • Senator D

Nigeria was man’s creation (The Europeans)… What law says that a man’s creation (Europeans handiwork) cannot be re-created or made better???? People say Nigeria’s co-existence cannot be negotiated says who? NOT even the ALMIGHTY GOD can make such statements because HE gave mankind the free-will of association… The fact that you are a member of Redeemed Christian Church of God does not mean you cannot decide to leave and go to Deeper Life Ministries, says who?… What this means is that God cannot force a relationship or persons together who don’t want to be together… How dare the NORTH say they own and decide the fate of other Ethnic groups in Nigeria? And these Yorubas are taking sides with them because they have the Vice-Presidency?

    • thusspokez

Nigeria was man’s creation (The Europeans).

Yada yada yada So what? Britain was itself a creation of the Romans, Vikings, Normans and Anglo-Saxons. Further, name one country today that was not the creation of outsiders or conquerors?

Do’t also forget that Ndigbo was the creation of the British too. There was no Igbo nation state before the British created one.

      • Akiika

The only history he knows is the lost Biafra war. Don’t waste your time.

  • Mizch

No reasonable Army would leave Boko Haram infested region to go and display military power in a peaceful land of Umuahia. Yet those herdsmen in Jos who killed 19 people are not yet arrested.

    • thusspokez

No reasonable Army would leave Boko Haram infested region to go and display military power in a peaceful land of Umuahia.

An army that is incapable of fighting at many fronts is useless and doesn’t deserve to be called a proper army.

    • tundemash

Olodo nie. The Nigerian Army has several brigades and battalions. This is just a unit within the 14th brigade. Kanu should man up and stop crying; war isn;t meant for kids.

      • Mizch

Bloodthirsty men are not reasonable enough.

      • Akiika

        Kanu – ‘Nigeria will burn”
Yet he cannot come out to face cadets.

  • emmanuel

Kanu, his followers and all Igbos who are disposed to self-determination should be civil about their agitation. The road can be long and winding, but the success comes with sheer determination.
My advice, avoid violence and direct confrontation with the military, but document their excesses and upload into global media on daily basis.
That puts pressure on the world and UN to support your drive.

    • Julius

Really ? The world and the UN is also aware of what kanu and ipob is doing. You are correct, violence should be avoided on both side.

      • Factsayer

Sending army is wrong in the first place

        • Julius

I disagree, remember kanu was threatening the entire country !

  • Nnamdi Ugwuadu

“What happened was that the military was parading a new armored carrier and passed through Nnamdi Kanu’s residence. Watch your statement bro, so the only rout the military can parade their new armored carrier is through Nnamdi Kanu’s house. The world is watching, God is watching us.

    • thusspokez

so the only rout the military can parade their new armored carrier is through Nnamdi Kanu’s house.

Is there a law against this?

      • Julius

        Nope !!

        • Factsayer

Army will soon frog-jump you wen you are eventually deported

      • Sandra

But there is a law against shooting unarmed protesters..its called crimes against humanity…!!! It’s on ICC watch list..!!!

        • thusspokez

          ICC watch list..!!!

ICC Bwwwwaaaahahahaha! Where do we start with your ICC?

[1] US police officers killing of unarmed African-Americans?

[2] US army torturing and killing of unarmed Iraqis?

[3] US army killing of unarmed Afghanistanis?

[4] UK army torturing and killing of unarmed Iraqis?

[5] UK army killing of unarmed Afghanistan?

[6] Egyptian police and army torturing and killing of unarmed Egyptians?

[7] Assad’s army and police torturing and killing of unarmed Syrians?
Saudi Arabia air force daily killing of unarmed Yemenis?

          …to mention but a few.

    • Julius

Sure the world is watching and they know what kanu has been doing. You are correct. May I remind you that nobody in those countries can be threatening their country and get away with it. You ever heard of Rubie Ridge here in the U S ?

    • tundemash

I guess your Lord Kanu owns that road.

    • Akiika

How many roads dey that una village?

    • obi

Actually I keep wondering how a military parade could be done in his house. Does he have an express road made of tarmac? Well I tink d military must Ave jump his fence wit their heavy super armored tanks just parade within the premises. Now how possible is that?

  • thusspokez

The Nigerian Army on Sunday said its personnel fired warning shots to disperse hoodlums who lobbed stones and broken bottles against them during a procession in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

Enough warning shots! JUST DO IT. — as the Nike slogan would say.

  • Boogie man

Funny I did not see the so called brave Kanu come out to confront the army. Abi he no dey for house?
He left brain washed jobless boys to face guns. Operation pithon dance has just begun.

    • susy tutor

You Yoruba are the most wicked creatures on planet earth. All the soldiers that invaded Kanu’s house illegally were all Yorubas. And tomorrow you will be calling for restructuring and the rule of law, keep exposing your true selves to the world, and let’s see were all this stupidity will lead Nigeria to .. Be careful of what you wish others because you may end up on the receiving end.

      • Boogie man

Sorry to disappoint your imagination. I am from Wafi in the heart of South South

      • Wendell Wendell

You have the list of soldiers that stormed kanu house..?

  • Julius

You won’t be there to see it tho. You will run away too !

  • easyman16

I think The question that the world should be asking the Nigeria government is, is there a war in the south East region that can warrant this deployment of heavy military personnel to the SE?

    • thusspokez

You don’t need reason of war to deploy an army to any part of a country or indeed, world.

      • Senator D

Do you know the difference between National Guard and the Army?

        • thusspokez

Give your opinion, instead of asking questions like children.

    • Bakanridi

This is not the first time of deploying heavy military personnel to parts of the country. It has happened many times: Remember ‘Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole’ and similar ones in Niger Delta, Plateau States. So SE is not an exception, provided it is part of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
More so pelting stones at armed military personnel is not a child play. I hope what happened in Zaria( which was quite unfortunate) was an eye opener on ever try to test the might of the military.
I hope these young boys should embrace peaceful avenues of resolving any grievances and engaged meaningful enterprises. Because, if things go wary there is no any Nmandi Kanu that will stand by them. Before they know, he will just disappear into thin air. Remember, he has dual citizenship.

      • susy tutor

Stop mdefending injustice, it may be your turn tomorrow, be ver careful on what you are wishing others.

        • Bakanridi

Don’t be sentimental my friend.I am not wishing anybody bad. What I was saying NOBODY will challenge the power of a constitutionally recognized armed forces of any country and go scott free. If any Tom,Jack and Harry will have the audacity to challenge our gallant military, then we are in a serious problem.
What ever, it takes. we MUST respect instituted authorities of the Land. If you have any grievance, there are laid down procedure to follow.

          • Chym

Do you want to use force to force people who have chosen not to be part of your contraption call Nigeria? Bro it wont work this time around

          • Bakanridi

Nobody force anybody to remain in Nigeria. But the International Conventions stipulates the guidelines and procedure to follow. Many countries have tried it, why can aggrieved parties in Nigeria do the same, rather than applying empty threats upon threats?

          • abodes_124

Boko Haram are challenging them and are being paid huge amounts of ransom and being let free even after being captured. So have Niger Delta militants. this government want to tempt south Easterners into believing that they only listen when serious violence is meted out to the Nigerian cowardly army.

          • Nigeria must be a good country

Them you should become BH and challenge them too. They’re warning you people you think everything is a child play. Continue with your arrogance against the constitutional organization of this country, we’ll see where that ends.

    • Chym

      That’s the right question

  • Senator D

First the Constitution was faulty and foisted on all other minority ethnic group by the Janjaweed Fulani Northerners. Every move to amend that constitution has been met with stiff opposition from them. Several ethnic groups are disfranchised by the Northern constitution foisted on us. What is wrong changing a faulty document? Even recently, they have done everything possible to prospect for Oil in the North-West to no avail, wasting tax payers money because they are afraid of the possibilities of uprising from other minority groups… What are they afraid of? Just because they are Parasites…!!!

  • Senator D

Can someone please tell us which National Assembly wrote this FAULTY NOTHERNISED constitution in 1999?

    • tundemash

Mor0n, ask your National Assembly Representative!

      • Senator D

You can’t even answer my question… Lagido Ooshiii….

        • tundemash

Kid, that was your answer. Go ask your elected NAtional Assembly Representative.

          • Senator D

            Animal…

          • Senator D

            F00L

          • tundemash

Since you are in the NAtional Assembly and yet you don;t even know who wrote the document upon which you were elected and sworn in, you are far too d@ft for me to discuss with. What a twat !

          • Senator D

Since you do not have commonsense let me tell you that simple JSS1 kid knows that if you are Not part of arrangement then you can’t be forced to swear an allegiance to such arrangement… Idi0t

          • tundemash

ANd yet you claim you are at the NAtional Assembly ? what a fraud you are !

          • Senator D

Just like Bubu is a fraud… Hypocrite!

          • tundemash

And yet you got elected into the National Assembly by same arrangement you were never part of? You are just a confused numskull !

          • Senator D

            Ignored…

      • OGK

Why would you engage the ignoramus in all these? He is one of those half-bread who get their education from the social media everyday.

    • share Idea

Your question is Apt. When Peter Obi was contesting his tenure issue then, some people like the ones shouting you down were calling him names.

However, when he succeeded every Tom, Dick and Harry wanted such injustices meted to them to be reviewed, and a few benefited.

You asked Apt question – “… which National Assembly wrote this FAULTY NOTHERNISED constitution in 1999?”. If none citizens representatives wrote the current constitution and declared that “…WE the People agreed to be governed by it…” when we never sent them to represent us, can we not genuinely demand that a new constitution be enacted by the peoples’ representative?

  • Senator D

Why table the matter of Referendum to a National Assembly who NEVER partook in writing the constitution previously??? Why is Buhari NOT asking the National Assembly to Amend the Constitution to remove the fundamental human right to protest???

  • Senator D

If I was not part of an agreement how is that agreement document binding on me??? The Nigerian constitution is faulty and every one in Nigeria knows it except for the Fulani North… Why would such important document be written by a few and foisted on the rest of us and we must be forced to accept such arrangement???

    • tundemash

Olodo, where were you when the Constitutional Assembly was sitting in 1998 or where were you when In January 2011, two amendments of the 1999 constitution were signed by President Goodluck Jonathan, the first modifications since the document came into use in 1999 ?

      A cl0wn you are !

      • Senator D

F00L, the constitution was not written in 1998 but in 1996… Late Pa Rewane of NADECO raised this issue when Abacha was trying to transform to civilian President with all the Political Parties endorsing him as their sole candidate…Shut-Up! If you do not know the Northern Agenda…

        • tundemash

Kid, so where were in you in `1996 then ? Once again, cl0wn , table your “problems’ before your elected representative ! Nowhere in the world is the whole population involved in writing the constitution. The whole population can get involved in amending the constitution and that is through your elected representative. TWAT !

          • Senator D

            Ignored…

          • tundemash

I am not surprised kid. Once you are told to follow a democratic process, you hit a brick wall !

          • Senator D

You are pathetic because even an elementary kid knows there is NO democracy in Nigeria so I do not understand what you mean by “brick wall” and “democratic process”

          • SteveOMarcus

So, in your pathetic sense of reasoning, there is no democracy in Nigeria simply because your thieving idols were voted out?

          • Wisdo Kana

@steve, ur mumu done ripe o, the bastard that gave birth to u wasted a whole nine month to bring an imbecile menace into this world. that constitution was never written by the nigerian people but a few selected individuals. small pikin wen nor wen lern book

          • Sam

A real Twat he is .

        • Bakanridi

Point of corruption:The Nigerian Constitution was written in 1998 not 1996. It was carried out during Gen AbdusSalam’s regime, not Abacha’s. Clarify facts before going online, please!

  • Senator D

The constitution currently being used in Nigeria was not written in 1998 but in 1996… Late Pa Rewane of NADECO raised this issue when Abacha was trying to transform to civilian President with all the Political Parties endorsing him as their sole candidate…Shut-Up! If you do not know the Northern Agenda…Abdulsalam Abubakar after the Northern meeting to pacify the West (Yorubas) dusted the rusty constitution and polished it with the leadership of the Supreme Military Council and gave it to Obasanjo to run the Vision…That constitution needs to be thorn to shreds and a new one written by a collective representative…

  • johnsontu

buhari has a personal vendetta against Umuahia people.. He along with murtala and babandiga and joe akahan and danjuma killed Ironsi, and now Nnamdi Kanu is from Umuahia, and he thinks Kanu is a reincarnation of Ironsi. So he wants to silence Kanu by hook or crook.

  • Gary

The Tukur Buratai-led Nigerian Army is obviously looking for a pretext to crackdown on IPOB and maybe have Nnamdi Kanu walk into a bullet. All under the guise of keeping the peace in the South East to forestall the disruption of the Anambra State election for Governor.
Not satisfied with the likes of the AGF openly signaling to the judge to revoke Kanu’s onerous and unconstitutional bail conditions, Buratai has now been given the green light to do unto IPOB what he did to the Shiites of Zaria: mass murder.
Let nobody be in any doubt that any soldier who obeys an order to kill unarmed civilians has committed a war crime. And under international law, obeying an unlawful order from a superior to willfully kill non-combatants or civilians from is no defence. Yemi Osinbajo know that even if Buhari does not.
Nobody has to be an IPOB supporter and I’m not one for the ignorant and alienating brashness of Kanu and his worshippers, to stand up in for their constitutional rights to non-violent agitations for their political vision for their own people. No matter how odious their agenda or tactics may seem to the rest of us. We did not stop those who insisted on their right to introduce Sharia Law in their states. And for that we now have Boko Haram costing the whole nation lives and treasure. The same regime that has not lifted a finger to stop the ongoing marauding of Fulani Herdsmen killing and taping their way across the country to seize grazing lands that Buhari has been unable to legally grant them via legislation; has seen fit to deploy Army troops into Igboland to intimidate and suppress Kanu and his followeat. They deceive no one.
Those who sow the wind will definitely reap the whirlwind. Ask the promoters of Sharia how much they are enjoying Sharia Law. Even their governors now have to leave for Lagos to drink and build hotels or Abuja to have threesomes. All the while promoting piety at home to the hapless masses for whom they build more mosques than schools.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Fair comment……one of my best ever and truthful as well.

    • abodes_124

      Dear Ohaneze Leadership.
Thank you for the enlightened manner in which you have been articulating the thought and wishes of the majority of Igbo people.
While awaiting the lawsuits which will run a tortuous cause, Could I please put forward this suggestion:.
Can you please call on all Igbo people to stay at home on October the 1st in protest against the invasion of the South East termed Operation Python Dance II. If these soldiers are not withdrawn or stood down by October 2nd then the sit at home will continue until they leave. Let ours continue to be the path of peaceful resistance. However al continue to make Buhari aware that those who do not allow peaceful change make violent conflict inevitable.

      • Sir Louis

very well stated. Worthy of consideration. This will prevent more provocation and bloodshed.

  • Amos ‘fairymonk’ Kalu

I think Liar Mohammed lie better than these soldiers.

    • oga

Igbos can make noise, this is just episode one of what is to come and they are already crying. So all the grandstanding that Nigeria will burn if this and that happened is just show. Make Kanu show his opportunistic face joo. Nigeria soja no dey hear come o, I don talk my own. I remember black scorpion, I nor send anybody o.

      • Chym

We are not cowards like yorubastards and we will never result to fighting the zoo army no matter their provocations cos we understand the game and the international community is taking notes . Mean while go and reclaim Ilorin from your masters Fulani

      • Ohume romanus

        Coward

  • Sam

    Senator, Dekpe, ode ni e..

  • Dr Pat Kolawole Awosan

The fact is that Nigeria, is a nation govern by the constitution and a nation that maintains its army and air-force,Navy and DSS as well as police formations. No supporters of the felon,Nnamdi Kanu, must be surprise if supporters of Nnmadi Kanu, were throwing stones at the Nigerian army vehicles passing by, Nnamdi Kanu, compound. The Nigerian soldiers, have the legitimate right to react against any attacks against them from Nnmdi Kanu,s compound as nobody is above the law of the land. Nnamdi Kanu, is not above Nigerian law as Nigerian soldiers, reaction is just a tip of the ice-berg if Nnamdi Kanu, and his surrogates continue to threaten peace and stability of Nigeria-entity.
***Any further threat against our security forces, should be reacted against by our security forces, period! No further space to harass or stone our soldiers, must be ignored or granted to any notorious criminal element in any part or region of Nigeria.

    • Chym

Go and reclaim Ilorin from your masters Fulani and stop being silly. What a useless buffoon from South waste zone the most dirtiest laziest ugliest fetish people on earth.

  • obi

I still find it difficult to fall for the tales by Kanu’s lawyer. The army parading an armoured truck is a practice even among international military. Also, the rules of engagement of the Nigerian military allows for defensive techniques.

    • Chym

Are you insane or what? Must they pass it through where he reside?

      • obi

Mr Chym, what have I said for u calling me an insane person? I neva threw words at u. Besides, I have taken time to read ur past comments. They all follow the same trend, so I ain’t surprise. You are not my type

        • Sir Louis

Indeed why should the military demostrate with tanks and live ammunition in a residential area?

        • Chym

Yes you ain’t my type cos you’re a wayward son trained by a single promiscuous mother.

    • okenwa

You should understand that KANU is now like a “black spot” where you passes with utmost Care.

  • Ohume romanus

What were the army doing in nnamdi KANU,s palace in the first place. Obviously they were looking for provocation. Buhari foolishly thinks that every issue can be resolved with military force. But not this time around. He can beat about the bush but Nigeria must be dismantled.

  • Sir Louis

If the FG is pursuing a court case against the IPOB leader and the case is due to be heard, what is the rationale for deploying troops to the South east and the latter had to take their display close to the activists home?

  • Musbau Hamzat

Only firing shot in the air dispersed them. I dey laugh. You claim you have Army, where are they. Nonsense
