A Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted bail to the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh.
The court however said Mr. Metuh is to provide a bail bond of N300 million, with two sureties each, with like sum.
He added that the sureties should have assets within the FCT.
Mr. Metuh was brought before the court on a two-count charge of alleged destruction of his statement, at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The case is different from another seven-count charge of alleged fraud against him.
Mr. Metuh had earlier been given a N400 million bail for the first case.
For the new case involving his statement, Justice Ishaq Bello on Friday adjourned the bail application for Monday.
He added that information would be passed on whether he could hear both counsel for the application, Friday.
He ordered Mr. Metuh’s return to the Kuje Prison.
