EXCLUSIVE: Days after attending Jonathan’s niece’s wedding, Obasanjo insists President has failed Nigeria

FILE PHOTO: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan at the President niece's wedding celebration

A few days after he attended the wedding ceremony of President Goodluck Jonathan’s niece, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said he would not compromise on his criticism of the president, insisting that he (Jonathan) has failed in his performance.

Mr. Obasanjo showed up at the wedding ceremony of Mr. Jonathan’s niece in Abuja five days after he accused the president of squandering $35 billion crude oil savings left behind by his administration.

He also alleged that the president, who is the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 14 election, had depleted the nation’s foreign reserves account from $60 left by late President Umaru Yar’Adua to $40 billion.

The former president told PREMIUM TIMES in an exclusive telephone interview on Monday that he would not stop criticising Mr. Jonathan despite attending the wedding because the issues had to do with the progress of Nigeria.

“There is no personal issue between me and him,” Mr. Obasanjo said. “He invited me to his daughter’s wedding, I had time and I attended. So, there is no issue of reconciliation or un-reconciliation. You people don’t understand. The wedding was a social event,” Mr. Obasanjo said.

“He (Jonathan) has failed in his performance and that I have made clear. No compromise about that. There is no compromise about anything that has to do with the progress of Nigeria. If I have an event I will invite him, if he has time he can attend.”

“You people don’t understand this matter. I have nothing against him. I am not fighting him but I won’t compromise on serious matters about Nigeria.”

While hosting South West women in his Abeokuta home on December 4, Mr. Obasanjo, who ruled the nation democratically between 1999 and 2007, launched a fresh attack against Mr. Jonathan alleging that the president squandered $35 billion Excess Crude money left by his administration.

He told the women that his administration left $25 billion to his successor, late President Umaru Yar’Adua, who subsequently raised the sum to $35 billion.

Mr. Obasanjo also said he left $40 billion in Nigeria’s foreign reserves account after paying the outstanding debt at the time and that Mr. Yar’Adua raised the reserves to $60 billion.

He lamented that the Jonathan administration depleted the reserves to $40 billion.

The former president however said he had no grudges against the president.

“I have no grudges against Jonathan and I think Jonathan has no grudges against me. I’m not quarrelling with Jonathan but all I know is that whatever is good for Nigeria, that I’m ready to die for.”

Before the visit of the southwest women, Mr. Obasanjo had repeatedly accused the president of promoting and tolerating corruption.

Speaking at a book launch in honour of the pioneer Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, Mustapha Akanbi in November last year, Mr. Obasanjo, who nominated Mr. Jonathan as running mate to Mr. Yar’Adua in 2007, had rated the president’s performance as “below average”.

He also stated at that event that the nation’s economy “is in doldrums, if not in reverse”.

In his new book, “My Watch” which he released last month, the former president, lambasted the president, describing him as a self-centred politician who thinks less of the country and fraternise with corrupt and questionable characters.

The former president’s most scathing criticisms against Mr. Jonathan are contained in his famous 18-page letter to the president in December 2013 in which he criticised his style of administration. He also accused Mr. Jonathan of failure to deliver on his electoral promises, strengthen national unity and arrest corruption.

Mr. Obasanjo also accused the president of reneging on his promise of spending just a term in office and of training a killer squad ahead of this year’s general elections.

“He also alleged that the president, who is the presidential candidate of
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 28 election,” Is the election not Feb 14 again? junk reporting.

    • charles peters

      na confusion dey worry them.

    • Bishop

      Rush rush report. Lol

  • Victor Gee

Buhari had shoes but no primary schoolcertificate. Jonathan had no shoes
but had Primaryschool certificate. Buhari was a Nigerian Army General
but bought no weapon for the military. Jonathan is a Bloody civilian but
bought NNS-Thunder and other artillery. Buhari went to NDA but never
allowed women to attend NDA. Jonathan did not attend NDA but allows
women to attend NDA. Buhari grew up with Almajiries and was an Almajiri
at a point but never built school for them. Jonathan never grew up with
the Almajiries but built schools for them and is feeding them. Buhari
grew up as a herdsman but never thought of creating grazing reserves any
where for the poor Fulani farmers. Jonathan was never a herdsman but is
creating grazing reserves for livestock farmers.

    • Bishop

IBB,OBJ,Ojukwu,Murtala,Gowon aall didn’t go to school you mean? Or were they not in same military? And with all mentioned, who is better? What is almajiri school all about? If not for GEJ fulani’s have always been under control. Please go and read about Nigeria from 1900. Talk about refineries he built as minister petroleum in months and how many GEJ maintained in 6years with allthe resources. Never funded the army but defeated maitasine and gave Chad some blow. Somethin 4trillion can’t today

      • danjuma Danladi

Bishop, did OBJ or IBB tell u that his certificates are filled with military board?

        • Bishop

We all don’t know since they have not been asked to submit.

    • aladeadekunleoluwaadeshinaola

Stop this falsehood, Buhari bought more weapon for the military in two years than Jonathan has bought in about 6 years. Also where are the almajeri schools, when I served in 2000, I worked in an almajeri school in Bauchi, how come you guys think that it was Jonathan that started Almajeri schools. I am not saying that Jonathan did not build almajeri school, certainly did not build up to 20. Many of the schools he is claiming were built by the state government.

      • danjuma Danladi

aladeadejunle, stop sounding incoherent, hear ur self, “Also where are the almajeri schools” and the same mouth said again, “I am not saying that Jonathan did not build almajeri school,”

APC speaking from two sides of their mouth.

        • aladeadekunleoluwaadeshinaola

What i am saying is that he did not build 150 almajeri schools and that there had been almajeri schools in the North before he became President. I assisted in one Ganjuwa Bauchi state in the year 2000. We can’t have someone in government that would not do something but whether he has done enough is the issue. He certainly has wrong priority. He built not up to 20 schools but claim he has built 150. That is my point.

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

        Bruv, just ignore them.

The same Jonothing also claims to have established14 new Universities, but the Niger Delta militants are still being shipped to Trinidad, Barbados et al to study…wait for it… Tourism etc!

Worse still, even the University of Otuoke has more staff than students!

These PDP e-pigs will never cease to amuse me.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Another liar who is swallowing, hook, line and sinker, the vomit from his brainless Ph.D holder.

Go and read Abike Dabiri’s “compare and contrast” between GMB and Jonothing on military arms and procurement.

Just to be fair, she only compared the just under two years of GMB with the six years of your clueless…uhmmmm, it’s difficult for me to use the word “Pres…” to describe someone who is so unPresidential.

  • Segun

These premium times guys are dafts. Jonathan was with Obasanjo yesterday. They had a successful meeting and u are here reporting an event of few weeks ago.

For ur information GEJ and OBJ have made up and reconciled. stop deceiving Nigerians.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      Stop being ignorant, @Segun.

Baba Iyabo refused to meet or endorse the failure.

If anything, he turned the screws tighter.

      Stop deceiving yourself.

    • Trigger

Are you that small in understanding? Obj spoke to premium times on Tuesday. Is that so difficult to read and comprehend?

      • abdul auwal

Tuesday is about 7 days today and a major event took place and yesterday at Abeokuta. Trigger are u a book haram member?

  • charles peters

premium times, is an APC news online. tell us what happened at Abeokuta yesterday? Stop deceiving Nigerians.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Baba Iyabo refused to see Mr. Jonothing and took a trip out of his backgate.

This made Mr. Jonothing to run away from Abeolumo as fast as his legs could carry him.

As soon as Baba Iyabo finished hosting the #BBOG group, he heartily welcomed the GMB Campaign train that included, Saraki, BAT, Oyegun, GMB, Osinbajo and others.

And, oh, by the way, did you Hajiya and Mrs Osinbajo on the campaign trail in Ogun State yesterday?

  • Anene Mercy

na Tinubu abi Lie lie Muhammed own premium times? so much negative publications against GEJ.

    • Mr. Abdin

Your GEJ is clueless that is why.

      • Aisha

        and ur Buhari is certificateless

        • Bishop

A general? Please ask any officer if this can be true. Cheap campaign

          • danjuma Danladi

bishop where is the certificate? Buhari was one of those northerners who enrolled into military through quota. he has no certificate to show.

          • Bishop

Doesn’t it sound awkward? Engineerin corp with no certificate in days of missionaries? They didn’t even have NDA then so you must go and staart abroad. Please forget the hate, quota or no quota no one can get to rank of a Major and above without certificates. Ask any retired or serving officer please. Let’s not insult our military because of cheap politics. And we all know what an affidavit is, let them investigate and prosecute him if found wanting. It’s because of disregard for our army that today we allow them to be killed by Shekau.

  • inuwa kate

my own is that media noise will not stop me from voting GEJ.

    • Shuaibu Bola Victor

FINAL ANSWER, GEJ we do & GEJ we will vote.

  • Ologun David

we are in oshogbo now for mr president. GEJ carry go baba mi.

  • Akinwade Kolawole

We can not over emphasize the need for us to continue to feed the good people of Nigeria with the Truth, even as the APC have continually inundate us with lies and deceits.. We will continue to punish them with the truth since we have discovered that they hate the truth.

It`s on record that since the current President came into office in 2010, he has set the record of the most abused and the most tolerant President since the history of Nigeria……… While the likes of Amaechi, Lair Mohammed and co have been pouring out direct insults against the office and the person of the president, GEJ has been tolerating them with utmost humility, decorum and diplomacy, but they refused to stop and rather increased the tempo at which they disrespect him.

Mr. President believed that there is time for everything and kept on transforming Nigeria on every sector. He believed the time for politicking would come soon. Now the time for Politics has come, the president is campaigning, telling Nigerians what he has done and along the line, responding for the first time, since 2010 to some of the false allegations and insults they have poured on him, now they say the President is angry, they say the president is attacking them. It is only okay for them to insult people and bad for people to respond. TERRIBLE PEOPLE!!!

Well, I will not bore your good selves with sore tales of the abusive characters that congregate that acronym, but rather dwell on the achievements of our able President on roads in Oyo state and other states with land contiguity with them, as I have always said, this is the sector I have my facts and figures.

Apart from the fact that the Lagos-Sagamu-Ibadan expressway has become a major pride to the govt of GEJ, we still have the completion of the Dualization of Ibadan-Ilorin road section I (Ibadan – Oyo) in Oyo State…… Rehabilitation of Odo Oba-Takie-Gambari-Otte-Oyo State border along Ibadan-Oyo Ogbomosho-Ilorin road in Oyo State, there is the rehabilitation of old Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Oyo State, the Akure-Ilesha-Ibadan corridor is seriously and constantly being maintained and many more Federal roads in the state Oyo state capital Ibadan… It is however important to note at this juncture, that no Nigerian Govt, military or civilian has massively embarked on roads building, construction and rehabilitation as GEJ`s govt.

These are the issues our people should be looking at and face other parties with to counter instead of pouring insults on the President and his family.
Nigerians, by all standard are getting wiser now and should be exposed to some of these issues they are trying to cover with the insurgency that should have ordinarily been an issue for everyone to ponder on a way out. Sadly, those who abuse the president for not fixing our roads fly private jets around the country and they not even abreast with the current situation of our roads.
Meanwhile, We will continue to SAY NO TO PA BUHARI and insist on ‪#‎GEJTILL2019‬.

    • Bishop

What a speech! ‘motor park touts’ as the latest is tolerance I guess from a presidents mouth. Have you forgotten what made Abbati,Maku,Okupe, metuh,Gulak etc popular? Cheap attack dogs. Also GEJ is insulted cos he gave many reasons to,always missin in action added with his wife’s interference in govt and for bad. So many things goin wrong, masses sufferin and killed military killed too loved one abducted etc,why won’t he be insulted since he said ‘ I don’t give a damn’ when he returned from Brazil.

    • Ebele Factory Child

Akin! You are not patriotic. This GEJ cannot offer anything to nigerians. Please do you ever heard GEJ saying anything about NEPA at any of his campaign rallies? Let me remind you of something you must have forgotten, GEJ said in 2011 campaign “if I cannot fix NEPA problem in 4years then I cannot do it forever”. Question; did he fixed NEPA in the last 6years as president of Nigeria? This is the most useless president in the history of Africa. My brother think of your future and that of our children.

  • Hembe Hembe

With or without OBJ, Goodluck is our choice for the presidential election. Obasanjo is entitle to one vote only just like every other person. Off-course I know that OBJ has reconciled with GEJ last night. The news report here is to douse the nerves and tension in the camp of APC to avoid fainting. Hahahaha

  • Aisha

OBJ is not fit to talk about corruption. HE came out of jail in 1998 with only 20,000 naira. today he is a multi billionaire.

    • Bishop

He receives good pension and has his farm running. He atleast brought EFCC,where is it or what do we have today? I expect it should have been perfected

      • Aisha

Bishop, but El rufai told us that OBJ had only 20,000 naira when he came out of prison. was it Abacha who imprisoned him that paid him pension?

        • Bishop

He had a farm right? And all heads oof state and presidents today are paid,am sure you know what governors also gave themselves as pension

          • danjuma Danladi

bishop what was his worth before and immediately he came out of prison and now?

          • Bishop

            I don’t know o!

    • Bishop

And GEJ that never had shoes?

    ‪#‎Buhari‬ Killed Awolowo#
This morning, as I listened to LATE HUBERT OGUNDE’s song:
“Oju Ogun laye igbeyin lo ju, k ‘ori je ki igbeyin mi dun o, kin da bi AWOLOWO”
I remember FREE EDUCATION and FREE HEALTH that I enjoyed from 1979 to December 31, 1983.
Then, I only needed school uniform to go to school. Textbooks, Exercise Books and other instructional materials were provided free by the UPN govt.
Treatment in Hospitals (Including DRUGS) was FREE. Medical personnel will even abuse parents for failure to bring their children to the hospital on time.
I was enjoying all these when Buhari SCUTTLED DEMOCRACY on December 31, 1983!
Buhari did not only killed democracy, he went on to JAIL Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin, the governor of the old Ondo State, who was giving me Free Education and Free Health.
Buhari did not stop there, he placed Chief Obafemi Awolowo, whose party, UPN was giving me Free Education and Free Health under House Arrest.
Awolowo was to travel out of Nigeria for MEDICARE, Buhari refused to let him travel.
The resultant effect of Buhari’s refusal to let Awolowo receive medicare abroad was his death in 1987.
    Buhari killed democracy.
    Buhari killed Free Education
    Buhari killed Free Health
    Buhari killed Lagos Metroline Project
Buhari jailed Ajasin, Bisi Akande, Jakande, Ambrose Ali, Bisi Onabanjo, etc.
    Buhari killed Awolowo!!!!
What else does Buhari want to kill??? Won’t he kill Nigeria?
    ‪#‎GEJ‬ Till 2019#

    • Onike24

????? He went to jail on?

  • Baba Jada

Nothing will change the fact that GEJ has failed Nigeria. The largest theft of tax payers money happened under his watch (20 billion dollars), He is the one and only Nigerian president that has lost the nations territory to illiterate criminals. In six years he has successfully divided the nation along ethnic lines. He is the only president who mourns foreigners and keeps quiet about his fellow countrymen. He is the one and only president that has nothing to say after cultist have murdered police officers.

  • Musa Yaro

Buhari has been caged therefore has nothing to offer. He will never be the solution!. GEJ na you we know for now. Buhari as they claimed fought corruption during military regime, now that he has surrounded himself with unrepentant looters, do you think he will do something for Nigeria? Hmmmmm, democracy no be military regime ooooo. Vote wisely.

    • Bishop

Didn’t OBJ use EFCC? What if he brings back EFCc and perfects it? Or corruption/ordinary stealing is greater than Nigeria

      • danjuma Danladi

Bishop, efcc is never the best answer to end corruption in nigeria. the only answer is to adopt Jonathan’s approach of blocking every institutional leakage first. like he did on agric sector especially on fertilizer distribution to farmers. the same he did in the area of ghost workers. fuel distribution and many others.

        • dave

Reno now Danjuma Danladi na wah ooo

        • Bishop

My best joke! Hahahahahahaa! How many can tell if government has done well in agriculture since its most neglected? Let him talk about things we as Nigerians as a whole can comment on. Which fuel? When we pay cabals through the nose? Is EFCC not checkin banks and lots more? Please stop the joke. China with all the infotech hang criminals. Let’s as well close police stations and prisons I guess.

THE THE CHARACTER OF THE MAN CALLED GMB.
It is only in Nigeria that the man who later

accepted appointment as PTF Chairman under the

MOST CORRUPT government ever in Nigeria’s

history and then commandeered more than 200 PTF

vehicles for private use in his home in Kaduna

would not be in jail today.

Remember, he later said that Abacha did not loot

WE CANNOT TRUST GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI BECAUSE OF HIS OPERATION PULL THE NATION DOWN POLICY.

Some times last week, some well meaning Nigerian youths, practitioners of 40 NGOs and 500 CSOs accross the country met and reach a consensus in Daura kastina state,Nigeria that they can no longer trust the personality and political under tune of the APC presidential aspirant in person of the 72years old General muhamedu Buhari over his tripartite presidential ambition majorly because of his Secret intentions to power the North and weaken the south which is presently unknown to Nigerians.

Meanwhile it must interest Nigerians to know that among Buhari secret agendas is to conserve and re-instate our oil wealth in the North, legalize sharia Laws in all part of the Country, creat Islamic banking system and if care is not observed disintegerate our father’s land for so many reasons best know to the Northerners.the above submission are sure fact about General Buhari ambition which must be taken into cognisance by Nigerians and listen to the Voice of the people which is the Voice of God and Flush out general Buhari a fouth time by voting him out in order to alert him that Nigerians don’t need a military dictator in our most cherished democracy.

Finally,I hereby call on every Nigeria to Vote for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as president for a second term for the transformation to continue because if presidential power is given to Buhari, the Northerners will hijack the Country for their personal interest. that is why we are calling on all Nigerians to reject the Nothern Jahadist crusade against the people of the South,East and west of Nigeria so as to make Nigeria a better place for Nigeria would have been much better if not for the massive killing of innocent Nigerians in the North By the Islamist sect called Boko Harram built up by General Buhara and his APC cohorts.

VOTE OUT BUHARI!VOTE OUT APC IN THE FORTH COMING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!!

    • Onike24

I presume you will say you have a certificate of some discreption? But you don’t know that you cannot vote out someone who is not the incumbent? It is this type of idiocy that expects us to believe that Jonathan has a doctorate, can anyone imagine Jonathan defending a thesis before a group of academics? What language did he speak? Ijaw? Nonsense,

      • danjuma Danladi

Onike, u are sounding frustrated, why?

        • Onike24

Not frustrated, just tired of the idiocy that some people glibly exhibit

        Hahahahahahahahaha!

If he doesn’t know that only an incumbent can be voted out, what else does such a person know? Hahahaha!

That was how the one that calls himself told me that Jonathan rigged 2011 election because he had already won the election. Hahahahahahahahahaha!

If only this was a circus show, Jona’s fans and paid online propagandists have an unbeatable entertainment value. If only their thoughtless words were not also of dire consequences to the rest of us, they are a good story for a hit comedy!

  • onyeka okorie

Trains are back, nigeria now manufactures cars, no queue at the fuel stations again, power has increased to 20hours a day, nigeria now exports rice, our economy re-based, no ghost workers again. more 4yrs abeg.

    • Emeka

The corruption in this country is unbelievable. For that, GMB. and besides I don’t agree with your points. nigerians now manufacture (Assembles) car, so What? Is there stable power for that kind of operations on a large scale? 20hrs light, where?

      • glo

        Gbam!

      • danjuma Danladi

if there is no stable power, how is the Innoson and others coping? abi na u they give them light?

    • Bishop

If you will believe me, train has always been there and still very slow minimum 25hours kn to lag as it was in ’60’s, cars have always been assembled(PAN,SCOA,FIAT,VW) and affordable before SAP but not affordable today, power is worse(visit northern states please). Don’t have facts about rice and ghost workers anyway. More poor people today because of insecurity over 2M displaced people and thousands of bread winners lost.

      • ChrisOK

Bishop. PAN, SCOA, FIAT , VPwere aassembled in Nigeria in 60’s . What happened to them in the 90’s and 2000’s All paralysed. The vehicle are not Just assembled in Nigeria today but made in NNigeria. That is a Leap forward for Nigeria.

        • Bishop

No car is made in Nigeria. Only assembled,or is ajaokuta functioning? And I rightly said before SAP,hope you know what it meant and it’s effect, also whenit started.

    • larry_boy

continue believing ur papa deceiving pikin

    • Richard

Mr. Okorie in as much as this is a wishful thinking , this is what Nigeria needs. The market is still being flooded with imported rice, check your records very well Nigeria does not manufacture any vehicle , it could have assembly plants. I don’t know which part of the country you reside that has 20hrs of electricity in a day. These are the things we are hoping for and that is why CHANGE is inevitable.

  • danjuma Danladi

APC has no statistics on how to run govt. look at this statistics and u will agree that Buhari is an illiterate.

APC said “should they win this coming presidential election, they
will feed all students especially the ones in public school, so I went
around and got the number of students in school around Nigeria! To see
if it is possible to feed all Nigerian public school students. The
    Record is as followed:

The record I got is from 2006, so by 2015 this record should be higher but I will go with the 2006 one.

As of 2006 enrollment of pupils in public primary schools in Nigeria is
56,920,000, the record is for both pre-primary and primary school since
the system is now 3 – 3 – 3 which is nine years for primary and
    pre-primary all in one.

    Pre-primary is 22,000,000 pupils
    primary is 34,920,000 pupils

    So the total is 56,920,000

If a government were to feed this students, the cost of the feeding
will be in dollars according to United Nation estimate and because of
the falling of the Naira I will put feeding cost at N200 per child or
    student.

Now I will put my Maths skills in use:
To feed 56,920,000 number of students per day, the government will spend
56,920,000 (number of Children) x 200 (Cost of Food per day)
= N11,384,000,000 (per day cost of feeding all Nigerians Primary school students in Naira).

Now we have 30 days per month but not all are schooling days, school
days starts from Monday to Friday, so we have an average of 22 schooling
days a month, therefore we will use the 22 days average but be sure
that we can have some few days remove as holidays per year.

    Now our calculations goes.

    To feed 56,920,000 number of children per month will be;

N 11,384,000,000 (Feeding cost per day) x 22 (Average number of
schooling days) = N250,448,000,000 (Per month Feeding Cost in Naira)

Now we have to calculate it annually since our budget comes once a year.

To feed our Nigerian pupils yearly will cost the Federal Government

N250,448,000,000 (Per month Feeding Cost in Naira) x 12 (number of Months in a year)

    = N3,005,376,000,000
(Total cost of feeding just primary school student in Nigeria)

The Nigeria budget for 2014 was N4.962 trillion.
If we are to feed only our primary school students for over N3.005 trillion what will that amount to.

    • Richard

Good analysis. But what you don’t know is that this can be done if the government can do away with wasteful programs and block every form of corruption . In the 70s during Obasanjo’s military reign, the government embarked on the program called operation feed the nation. Such program could be introduced again . Around same period a secondary school in the present Ekiti state , Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikere – Ekiti under the principal, Chief Jegede was feeding its students from the school farm produce and was even supplying eggs, tomatoes and vegetables to the College of Education in the same town. This can be replicated if we have a government that cares for its people. The government has to lead and the people will definitely follow.

This matter of excess crude account has been dealt with several times. How the Govs mostly those in the Buhari train took the FG to court, that the money be shared. There are unresolved cases at the Supreme Court on the matter. At a time, an out of court settlement was also proposed. The most shameful aspect of this issue is that the same OBJ or Buhari did not support the FG during the course of that dispute. Today they want to reap form the issue. Hypocrisy. Some of us are either shameless or do not know what we are doing

BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS!! OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE THE TRUTH, MY BROTHERS IN THE NORTH!!!

“Reports are flying that Northern leaders who had hitherto supported Buhari may be making a U-turn in the February elections after reports that the general may be having a serious health problem.

This is following the online rumors that Buhari collapsed during his presidential campaign rally in Calabar.

Even though the APC denied the report, it has given cause for worry, and the North has become wary, after they were ‘sidelined’ after Yar’Adua died in May, 2010 be…fore completing his tenure, a development which led to the abrupt shift of power to the South-South under the rulership of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

“The North is beginning to rethink the promised support for Buhari in view of reports that he is suffering from a certain ailment which is believed to be wearing him down. There are also reports that the elders are pushing to cut a deal with Jonathan to complete his tenure in 2019 but extract a promise that power would be returned to the North via a younger and energetic Northerner,” a source said.

“If anything happens to Buhari, power will return to the South-West less than a decade after President Obasanjo left Aso Rock. The prospects are grim, both for the North and even the South-East that is queuing for their own turn,” another Northern top personality is reported as saying” —NIGERIAN BULLETIN

Thank you for been as current as ocean currents. Those of us who can locate the ears of every wall have already heard. The Oluwoles are very crafty species. I have been saying it. They know there is no way an 83yr old man brought up with fura de nunu, will survive 8yrs as a President which means, even if he wins in the dreamland (Which is not possible), he will probly have to give way for the Oluwole to come in. But they are only wasting their time bcos there is no vacancy in Aso rock till 2026 when an Okonkwo or Ngozi would have completed his/her term. Nigeria belongs to all who live in it. No be so? If you disagree, then raise your hand up and let me count. Nonsense!

Orangevine has it that one ex-General is suffering from a chronic disease called ‘certipicatelessliaosis’. It is an advanced stage of hypertension caused by extreme anxiety and trepidation arising from certificate fraud. However, it has only one cure – confession, penance and prison term with hard labour.

One thing Nigerians need to know is that we need to end Naija the Corrupt Jonathan way. So President Jonathan and his woman Mrs. Diezani Alison Maduke need to return the 20 billion Dollar NNPC money in their JOINT and JOINED hands. What do you think Reno Proudly Niger Deltan Omokri?

  • Badmus

    This man called Goodluck Jonathan…..

In my own opinion this man called Goodluck Jonathan does not think properly.
What exactly did he expect to gain from yesterday’s secret meeting with Obasanjo?
Did he expect Obasanjo to say, “Oh, my people, Jonathan is not a thief again!”.
I am sorry for Nigerians that Jonathan is their president. He lacks good judgement.

Some people call themselves statesmen but they are NOT statesmen.
They are just ordinary politicians. For you to be a statesman it is not
because you have occupied a big office before but the question is:
what are you bringing to bear?

Are you building this country or are you a part of the people
who tell lies to destroy this country, to create enmity and make
people who ordinarily would have been living together, fight
themselves? Are you planning to set the country ablaze
because you did not get that particular thing you want?

Hiding under some big names and creating a lot of problems
in this country, making provocative statements in this country –
statements that will set this country ablaze – and you tell me
        you are a senior citizen. You are NOT a senior citizen;
you can never be. You are an ordinary motor park tout.

        ………..President Goodluck Jonathan

        (January 7th, 2014)

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

          @ KAY:

Did Echendu go to school at all? How can he know the difference in the big English you use?

I think I agree with u 100 percent–Jonathan is now taking his sense of humility to far with this Obj rubbish—-Obj is a waste of time—Obasanjo does not even understand the level of hatred Nigerians has for him-That is why like Buhari he also goes about with his G4 school certificate as Abiola said to disturb the peace of the nation–Obj was oil Minister for 6 years—He illegally assumed that post-without any legal backing-He then awarded TAM @ D cost of over a 100m to Emeka Offor–are d refineries working today–? Obj is not doing this because of his love of Nigeria—Never– he has insulted almost all d past head of state except himself–So, the reason why Jonathan, often puts caution aside to bow down to Obj equally baffles me—No sane I mean no sane former president–will ever behave the way Obj is acting–hold a secret meeting with him then the next day he foolishly opens that his janjaweed mouth, which he has been relying to woo other people’s wives to bed, to insult the sensibilities of Nigerians—When Obj was in power, oil was selling at 150 per barrel–let obj show us what he did with the money–Apart from the Paris Club forcing him to pay off their debts–what else did he do with it beyond bribing law breakers—to support his 3rd term agenda–are we not still crying for light–water–roads–education and health facilities–Nigeria is at war–with boko haram–may be we use stones to fight the war–Jonathan has built–14 universities-among several roads—did he erect them pebbles–? Jonathan should distance himself from Obj—he has not electoral value–Did the fulanis not say they hated Jonathan because of Obj-? Are the ssame Fulani elites not with Obj today-friends today enemies tomorrow–animals

The worst of GEJ is still better than the best of Buhari. Buhari show us your certificate please.

    • Mr Igbo Sanity

The Constitution says “School Certificate or Equivalent” Now you decide if Buhari met the qualification. Here is Buhari’s Educational CV:

Attended Primary School in Daura and Mai’adua, 1948-1952

Attended Katsina Model School in 1953 and Katsina Provincial Secondary School (now Government College Katsina) from 1956-1961.

Joined the then Nigerian Military Training School, Kaduna in 1963.

Attended Officer’s Cadet School in Aldershot (United Kingdom), October 1963

Attended Platoon Commanders’ Course at the Nigerian Military College, Kaduna, 1964

Attended the Mechanical Transport Officer’s Course at the Army Mechanical Transport

School in Borden (United Kingdom) 1965

Studied at the Defense Services’ Staff College, Wellington (India), 1973

Attended the United States Army War College, June 1979 to June 1980. Gained Masters Degree in Strategic Studies after nearly 3 years of study at this school alone!

So now lets get back to REAL issues of Jonathan Corruption and upwards of 40-5000 innocent Nigerians Murdered under jonathan’s watch in the last 6 years.

Change to Buhari is now unstoppable!

BUHARI will never show certificate to anybody. Jonathan has proved that he forged his certificate and he had never gone to school. If jonathan with fake certificate could become nigeria president then BUHARI with no certificate is more qualified to become the president of ant country.

All what jonathan learnt from his PHD from nigeria village school is what he has implemented in our country.

I will rather be ruled by no certificate with good brain than PHD certificate with no brain. Enough is enough for PDP and jonathan. Nigeria is not alumonjiri country where they are satisfied with any goes until they become so poor and die in poverty and ignorant. The mentality in nigeria is like in europe where if a leader fail them the whole country raise their voices in mass against the bad leader. Let Jonathan come out boldly and tell us that that he did not forge his PHD result. The clear evidence of this is the way he has brought down the most populous black country in the world. If you vote for PDP to win, you will greatly regret it.

Nigeria on my mind: Osun state workers have not been paid for three months. APC is promising 3million jobs in a year. Can you see hypocrisy? Liars and deceitful people. The lilttle talents we gave them are squandered, yet the are bragging they can do more. 419 obtaining by deceit. Agege to Iju is 5 kilometers and it took Fashola 6 years to complete, yet APC wants to tare the whole contry overnite. Sun boat was bought for Lagosians and it ‘sailed’ away never to return, yet they say they are mister saints. Fayemi borrowed to build government house and put 50m bed in it, yet APC says they are mr prudent. Ole. Oshiomole looked at poor widow and derided her and asked her to jump and die, yet APC says they are my compassion. Amaechi locked HOA and judiciary now for over a year, APC says they are mr justice. Finally, Buhari attained general in the army without prove of certificate yet APC says they are my incorruptible.
God will judge you as we sing a dirge for you on Feb 14.

General Mohammed Buhari regime was dominated by Muslim officers,
and no consideration was shown to the issue of restoring diplomatic ties
with Israel and other neigbouring countries. Because of his hatred to Christianity,
the government demonstrated a total commitment to anti- Israel policy by
suspending the Emir of Kano and the Ooni of Ife for their visit to Israel.
The Emir of Kano was also removed as Chancellor of the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka.( Nigerian Tribune, 1985 ).

Infact, it is clear to us all now that GMB is not only a demagogue but Islamic
fundamentalist who does not qualify to be elected president in a secular
state like Nigeria. Please, let us all vote against this character(GMB) but to vote

1- You still believe that GMB has issues with Christianity, Israel as a nation practices Judaism and not Christianity and with regards to ties, he used MOSAD to crate Dikko and you believe ties were bad but he could he ask for their state security’s help.
2- What has GEJ’s numerous visits to Israel done for us? The profit more from us by selling Uzzi to us, security gadgets, what do we really benefit other than we going to pilgrimage that is state sponsored? Everything pays them than us. before you jump at me, I am a Christian but a nationalist not a party person. I believe we need to let go of pilgrimage and let believers pay for the exercise of their faith on both sides.

Useless and senseless thinking and talk. Is it not the outside enemies of Nigeria who are taking side by supplying armunitions to the enemies of Islam and mankind.
They are afraid of Islam because people are converting to Islam out of free will. They are doing what ever it takes to stop Gods true and most acceptable religion. God coursed them for their rebellious act to Him and his slaves after all the favours and love he has giving to them.
If Islam is not a true religion.
With all the effort of anti Islam doing what ever it takes to destroy Islam.
No body will wish to be associated to a religion of violence and hatred for humanity.
But because this are plot meant to tarnish the image of Islam by devil and his advocates. Which God said they will never succeed because God said they will plot and God will plot and Hes is the best of plotter.
Because He is the God who initiate, design what ever they think they are doing.
So my friend whether he was in support or against, is all about Goveunment interest.
Is GEJ not against the palastines state? Every body knows he voted against, and you and I know is not the opinion of the majority of Nigerians.
So please let’s leave religion out of Nigerians decision. For our own good. Islam preaches peace whether we agree or not.

      • Rotimi Lawanson

Who is converting to Islam? If Islam is so prevalent, why do they kill people that renounce Islam? Why are people being forced to convert to Islam all over the world by force? God is saying No to darkness,we are not to vote for party or parties but individual and personality but in President Jonathan we see no good humane and hope gone drained for six years hence we need another person but the only option left is Muhamadu Buhari,so for now in Buhari we Hope, listen not believe but hope, hopeful that God will using him to take our great nation to a greater height.

      • You are correct, FeBuhari 2015 is for Buhari 2015.

Hi, my friend Mr. “the truth”. How’s the business of “Neutrality”? I can see it’s not booming now. What’s wrong? So you believe Jonothing and Hippopatience are gods? I think your brain needs to be checked.

    • Obasanjo “is just one man and his views can’t be viewed as the arbiter for millions.” Apparently Jonathan, by his actions, knows very well that that statement cannot be true.

    • Tonnero

Neutral man canvassing for one of the parties. No surprise. This is the PDP way. Lie through their teeth. Do it often and hope that some id!ots (we know them) will continue to believe.

President Jonathan’s focus has been on building transparent public
institutions that are strong enough to overcome corrupt influences. This
approach uses the rule of law as a framework to fight corruption and
entrenches transparency and accountability mechanisms across government
    institutions.

    Achievements:

Granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
prosecutorial independence from the Attorney General and Minister of
Justice, restoring the integrity of this formerly beaten-down anti-graft
    agency

Enacted the Freedom of Information Act, thereby empowering the press
and Nigerian citizens to scrutinize the actions of public officials and
    institutions.

Uncovered over N2.7 billion in fraud in the Pensions’ fund and.
seized about 200 properties from corrupt public officials, including
hotels and cash worth billions of naira.

Established an Independent Presidential Committee to monitor the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Dismissed judges found to be abusing their offices.

Ended four decades of corruption in fertilizer and seed distribution.

No matter how hard them night soil men and juju priest holding brooms about in APC- may wish to twist and turn fiction into facts—they cannot wish away the truth that buhari is no match for Jonathan–we cannot have a bunch of G3 and 4 certificate holders set the achievements of the president back to 50 yeara again… This is not Nigeria of 1914 where they used their turbans to deprive others the opportunity of enlisting into the service of their nation—from the mess buhari made of his certificates–scandal, we can now understand what is happening in the army—now–There are many buharis still in the army of boko haram—working against the interest of the nation–Buhari has done enough harm to the nation state of nigeria—with his disgraceful outing –As for Obj his is history–when i was–when i was—Time for jonathan to move us on…with his great plans for Nigeria and forget abouth these certificateless gaskets——in our midst- nigeria is no longer interested in Obj-and his unbecoming regional leadership antics–if jonathan wants to appoint obj as minister of women affairs fine–but time for him to ignore the man is now–

    President Jonathan’s blunder

In my own opinion this man called Goodluck Jonathan does not think properly.
What exactly did he expect to gain from yesterday’s secret meeting with Obasanjo?
Did he expect Obasanjo to say, “Oh, my people, Jonathan is not a thief again!”.
I am sorry for Nigerians that Jonathan is their president. He lacks good judgement.

“No, let me give you a
lesson today. A coup or change comes about if there is frustration in the
society. Just get that right. There was frustration in the society between 1984
to 1985. The ground was fertile for a coup. It wasn’t fertile, thanks be to
God, in December, 1985 when the first attempt on me was made. Neither was it
fertile in April 1990 when the second attempt was made and we had the support
of all of you sitting down here. You write, you analyze, you talk, and you
demonstrated. It was not unusual then to hear, in the case of the
democratically elected government in1983, a common phase was ‘the worst
military regime is better than this government’. So you were giving us the
impetus to stage a coup. We are not dummies. If we didn’t have the support of
all of you, we wouldn’t venture into it.”—–IBB

Obasanjo is absolutely right. Not only did President Jonathan fail to adopt Obasanjo;s ODI FORMULA prescription for Boko Haram, he FAILED to interfere with and suppress the due court process that indicted Obasanjo and his government for the ODI and ZAKI BIAM massacres. Consequent upon that failure, Obasanjo -a former president- is finds himself in the eye of the storm and a candidate in waiting for criminal prosecution at the Hague.
His alignment with fellow human rights violators, therefore, does not come as a surprise. For Obasanjo not to be delivered to the Hague the same way he delivered Charles Tailor, Jonathan must be denied a second term. Everybody knows that Obasanjo never engages in any venture that won’t serve his personal interest.

Look the long and short of the story is that Obj is gradually becoming a huge burden on the nation..a disgrace—–these soldiers have no shame–Obj enlisted into the army with G4–buhari got there without a single certificate—he swore to an affidavit–I mean its time these ex-general leave us alone–There is nothing to write home about their rule—they are all failures—as a matter of fact Obj is out doing all to discredit Jonathan—so that those in his former constituency will say the bloody civilians do not know anything—-about governance—Very sad to see an ex-president act without shame—-behave like a 4 yr old toddler

BREAKING NEWS: Happening Now!!! Defections Earthquake Hit Ondo PDP, as 48 PDP leaders in Ondo leads thousands of their supporters to dump PDP for APC

All former Speakers in Ondo State House of Assembly, five Commissioners in Mimiko’s administration and eight local government chairmen in Ondo State are right now at a defection rally in Akure where they dumped PDP for APC. Scores of councillors are also part of the defection train.

They are being led by former Chief of Staff to the late Governor Segun Agagu, Mr Femi Agagu.

In all, 48 PDP leaders in Ondo are leading thousands of their supporters to dump PDP for APC at a ceremony currently taking place at APC secretariat along Oyemekun Road, Akure.

The defection earthquake has forced Jonathan Campaign Organisation to cancel tomorrow campaign in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as majority of known supporters of the President have defected to APC or have traveled out of town.

All mobilization efforts for the rally have crashed, forcing PDP leaders to opt for cancellation of Akure rally tomorrow, according to PDP sources in Ondo State……

MORNING NEWS NIGERIA: A PROACTIVE MEASURE

    “Reports
are flying that Northern leaders who had hitherto supported Buhari may
be making a U-turn in the February elections after reports that the
general may be having a serious health problem.

This is following the online rumors that Buhari collapsed during his presidential campaign rally in Calabar.

Even though the APC denied the report, it has given cause for worry,
and the North has become wary, after they were ‘sidelined’ after
Yar’Adua died in May, 2010 before completing his tenure, a development
which led to the abrupt shift of power to the South-South under the
rulership of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

    “The North is
beginning to rethink the promised support for Buhari in view of reports
that he is suffering from a certain ailment which is believed to be
wearing him down. There are also reports that the elders are pushing to
cut a deal with Jonathan to complete his tenure in 2019 but extract a
promise that power would be returned to the North via a younger and
    energetic Northerner,” a source said.

    “If anything happens to
Buhari, power will return to the South-West less than a decade after
President Obasanjo left Aso Rock. The prospects are grim, both for the
North and even the South-East that is queuing for their own turn,”
another Northern top personality is reported as saying” —NIGERIAN

It should be obvious that Dumbo’s intelligence does not match his supposed “PhD”. OBJ, a mere school cert holder, former soldier, farmer and two-time head of state and president has proven that he is more intelligent, smarter and wiser. OBJ has repeatedly proven the difference between personal and national issues, while Dumbo is only able to resort to abuses and cheap shots! This Jona is clearly a fake – if anyone noticed, while he is quick to point out that his adversaries are touts and without certificates, he has not been able to play up his own academic laurels, because they are questionable! His attack dogs should be bold to publish his MSc and PhD theses!

In the same vein, the APC presidential candidate,a former military dictator, General Muhammed Buhari during his 1983/84/85 junta
cannot boast of any investment in agriculture. Today, with the unique
intervention by President Jonathan, Nigeria’s food import has declined by $5.3
billion between 2013 and 2014 even with our increasing population. Our nation
now ranks as one of the biggest food producers in Africa with our food
production expanding by an additional 21 million metric tonnes, between
2011 and 2014, a record exceeding the nation’s set target of 20 million metric
    tonnes set for 2015.

Where is our missing $20 bn

    and lots more…

While over 100 Nigerians died in the Nyanya blast in Abuja the next day the president went on a campaign mission in kano state that just shows you how he cares less about the people dying he only cares about seeking re-election by all means at all cost. While campaigning in Kano people were playing football behind the venue and left him to keep lying and deceiving himself after he left the Governor swept the venue and rain came down to wash away the dirt he came along with. We don’t need PDP in Nigeria any more. While the president condemned the France attack his administration is still debating the number of people who died in BAGA rather than dress the issue that matters most. It is sad GEJ is even the president of Nigeria.

Goodluck Jonathan became President of Nigeria at a very critical and
challenging moment. Since taking office, he has implemented a process
of overhaul and renewal of personnel and systems in the armed forces,
security agencies and police as Nigeria’s military looks to meet the
challenge of the new, unconventional and asymmetric challenges it now
    faces in the North East.

  • Head Master Kay

In history of democracy, there has never been any leader who has never been criticized. President Goodluck has done what many has failed to do. He singlehandedly outlawed the toll-gate policy, refinaries has been shut down for the last 16 years but are now functioning so please lets call a spade a spade. He has done well and he deserves to do more. Jonathan all the way.

    when and how mr.anyim?

  • MI

Hard facts…. Every of the great nations went through their roughest time, ours is now and we must remain steadfast, otherwise, we shall never be great!
Imagine a country who imports large chunk of their needs with inappropriate custom duties thereby gradually killed nearly all of their manufacturing sectors and made everyone an importer rather than employer of labour. Since 1986, we had the penchant of declaring the wrong things or under declaring of imports including cars, tyres etc thereby short changed government of its revenues, creating irrelevant millionaires/billionaires and ultimately killed their industries. What happened in our ports and customs never protected the local industries. Perhaps, for the first time in 30yrs Nigerians are paying the right price for commodities, and this will encourage growth of local industries.
