PDP labels Buhari a “semi-literate jackboot” who will lose again

Muhammadu Buhari

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] has described a former Head of State and flag-bearer of the opposition All Progressives Congress [APC], Muhammadu Buhari, as a “semi-literate jackboot”.

Speaking at the national secretariat of the PDP, Monday, the national secretary of the party, Wale Oladipo, while receiving a delegation of PDP members from Diaspora, said the PDP has beaten Mr. Buhari three times in past elections and would do so again in 2015.

He said the presidential election slated for February 14, 2015 would be between “darkness and light; between a cosmopolitan highly focused PhD holder and a semi-literate jackboot.”

Mr. Oladipo said the election would be for a man that believed in integrating the economy of Nigeria into the world economic order and the reformation of the power sector to meet the aspiration of Nigeria’s industrial development.

Mr. Oladipo asked the delegation to enlighten Nigerians on the programmes of the PDP wherever they were in the world.

“You need to counter the negative propaganda that the APC is making against our party and our country in various countries of the world,” he said.

The PDP national secretary said although officials of the party were not perfect, their mission remained perfect.

He said the PDP meant well for Nigeria and its indivisibility and would continue to focus on credible leadership.

Mr. Oladipo said the Youwin programme of the Federal Government had begun to yield results as a beneficiary of the project recently donated N1million to the party after just two years in the programme.

“Our party is determined to produce many Bill Gates in this country,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the representative of the United Kingdom chapter of the PDP, Chukwuma Obidike, said opposition parties were fond of propagating negativity about the party and the country.

He said the foreign chapters would do everything possible to correct such negative propaganda by highlighting the achievements of the PDP-Federal Government on the internet.

To this end, the foreign chapters asked for the establishment of an e-campaign committee.

Ole, but Oladipo is your own Yoruba too who helped you to abuse Buhari. So what is your problem. This election will be decided on moral grounds. Nigerians will have to decide whether someone (i.e. President Goodluck Jonathan) who said STEALING OF GOVT PROPERTY AND RESOURCES IS NOT CORRUPTION for 6 years deserves the honor of being the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and whether that same person who said STEALING OF GOVT PROPERTY AND RESOURCES IS NO CORRUPTION deserves to continue to be the president of the Federal republic of Nigeria

If you like everybody in nigeria should vote for Jonathan, starting from Mai 30 2015,jonathan will not rule Nigeria again, mark my word!

    • bluesky

I can bet with my life that you are dead wrong to even contemplating that Buhari will lose in this coming elections. To start with, where will the votes that will give Jonathan the edge over Buhari come from? With total votes from ss/se are not enough to reelect your president .

      • zeon

Don’t be too sure about your figures in number. We all know that in the last census, that goats and cows were counted in all Northern States in Nigeria to boost your numbers. Unfortunately, goats and cows will not come to vote for your mini god GMB. This is the real world, wake up…

  • Frank Bassey

It is not a matter of being literate or semi-illiterate. The point is that Buhari is an Islamist fundamentalist who will use his powers to secretly Islamise Nigeria. Remember that Boko Haram nominated them as their spokesperson in their proposed dialogue with FG. He also said that attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North.
Read what Buhari said at a conference organized by the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in Kaduna
in 2001: “I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is
sweeping all over Nigeria. God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country. It is a legal responsibility which God has given us, within the context of one Nigeria, to continue to uphold the practice of Sharia wholeheartedly, and to educate non-Muslims that they have nothing to fear. What remains for Muslims in Nigeria is for them to redouble their efforts, educate Muslims on the need to promote the full implementation of Sharia law.”

    • endingNaija

Now the way the members of Goodluck Jonathan Campaign team are going you will give the Christian Faith a bad name. Here it is. President Jonathan has raised corruption to a philosophical art when he said STEALING OF GOVT PROPERTY AND RESOURCES IS NOT CORRUPTION. And President Jonathan brands himself as the “christian” candidate!!! Oh my God! What do you want Nigerian youths who are christians to say? Oh my God! Oh my God! I am sorry for Nigeria under the “Christian” president Goodluck Nebuchadnezzar Jonathan

    • felixoti

Hmmm! He had that chance in 1983 as a military dictator and he did not do it; is it now as a civilian when the national assembly decides such membership that he would?
Man! Some of you are real dummies.

But jonathan can evangelise nigeria no problem right?

    • PureNigerian

That is why we say GEJ is incompetent. He should arrest and prosecute him.
After all he swore to defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Balless a hole. A tiny Turai Yar.Adua caged him like a little 2yr old kid.
      What a shameless individual

“certificate is not a true test of wisdom” if it is then we will not be hearing excuses from Ph.D holder on how to manage the affairs of a country like Nigeria for 6 years now. I have known this right from my university days in the premier university and later in life when i discovered that people that got 3rd class and pass are even doing better than some of us that claim to be ahead of the class then. Food for thought

Most people commenting on this forum don’t stay in nigeria or have not been there in ages. I am proud to say i was in nigeria recently and the propaganda and lies being peddled to tarnish the nigerian image is really appalling. Pitakwa-honored Drunkard is not the academic PhD we’re used to going by Dumbo’s antecedents with his degree in fisheries. That piece of paper only attests and officially confers the title of, “Drunken Fisherman” on the Clown Prince of Otuoke albeit, no man has set eyes on the Thesis that won him that award… “wia ris Gwoza sef?” is not refined English of a cosmopolitan academic, it’s “gutter grammar” spoken only in Aborigine enclaves. That said, military officers are trained in public relations & administration, economic management, security strategizing and many courses taken at conventional universities… akin to the Catholic Seminary School which are all affiliated with a university thus, priests are all degree holders as well. Dumbo has failed all Nigerians home and abroad and will be flushed down the toilet come 2015… no amount of cash distributed to fringe groups will save his black ass from The Hague and the ICC. All these elements are simply out to slice their piece of our stolen $20bn, they know deep down their evils hearts that by popular demand na… Sai Buhari…biko !!!

  • Comfortkay

People Destruction Party (PDP) Power belongs to God, and for his inability to leave up to his promises the past years God has taken the position of the President of Nigeria from him, Chief Dr Azikwe Ebele Jonathan and it will be occupied in 2015 by another person chosen by God to lead and serve Nigerian.

  • djay

Someone that rose through the rank of a unique profession ( Military) to become a General Pdp is calling semi literate jackboot. Pdp is finished, they don’t even have anything else to say, all they had to say they said in 2011 and couldn’t deliver on all they promised to do 2011.

If the Commander-In-Thief, Goodluck Jonathan is the face of literacy in Nigeria, then it is high time we voted for an illiterate.

And Goodluck Jonathan is the way, route and path to Nigerian ruination, perdition and damnation!

Pig-headed Dunce. Ph. D indeed. If I have to choose between a Pig-headed Dunce and a semi-illiterate jackboot I will choose the latter. Period.

  • Uwadiegwu

It is totally wrong to call Buhari semi literate. Very, very wrong. Bokohari is an illiterate. He failed all officer courses he attended while in service. Ever cared to ask why he has not those letters like mni, psc, behind his name? Why do you think his economic policy when he was head of state was “trade by barter.”

  • Guguru

Jonathan can barely speak better than a well schooled primary 4 pupil. Has the PDP considered this?

    • Funso

but has was given a PHd oooo!

      • Guguru

Those mistakenly handed a Phd to Jonathan should be forgiven. They made a grave error in decision.

      • Guguru

        Tawanda,

At at least I can understand Buhari when he speaks. Jonathan speaks like a spare parts trader.

            I would think so.

        • Rommel

Why are you insulting spare parts traders many of whom are more polished than the man you are talking about?

          • Guguru

            Rommel,

Spare parts traders are intelligent people. They just have a way of expressing themselves.

          • Rommel

at least many of them speak English better than the Otuoke shoeless one who singlehandedly has created more problems for the reputation of Nigerian universities than any other factor

          • Guguru

            Correct.

        • Maria

…”This blood we are sharing”… that is the cosmopolitan english according to Otuoke PhD holders.

At this point in time, Nigerians are not looking for a PhD president, but the Moses that will lead them out of Egypt to the promise land and that leader is General Buhari. Whether the ruling party likes it or not, the Egyptians we are seeing now we will see them no more. The PDP we are seeing now, we will see them no more in 2015 IJN.

  • Mr Fact-Finder

The truth is, this man General Buhari plotted a coup against a democratic government in this our great country, Nigeria, and unlawfully overthrew that Government in that coup. That, in my opinion is the greatest offence a man can ever comit against his own state and this same man who is meant to be barred for life from the corridors of power, has over the years been parading himself as Mr integrity and has been fighting tooth and nail to become a democratic president of our country and Nigerians in their right minds are rallying round him as though he’s the long awaited saviour of our nation. How pathetic can we be. The last time I checked, Buhari only has military training and has never improved himself in the academic line like OBJ did, hence, Buhari does not have the economic prowess needed to steer us to the promise land we all long for. I believe he must have improved himself tremendously in the religious line especially the quoran and he has perfected plans to completely Islamise Nigeria should he become president. Now he has picked an unknown academia and pastor as his running mate to hide not only his Islamic agenda but also his academic myopia. Nigeria oh Nigeria, how I weep for thee

    • Ukpaka

Sir, I think you need to change your name to “I make things up”. I don’t want to waste my time refuting everything you said as it’s obvious you know the truth. If planning a coup is the worst thing a human can do to his/her country, then what about people that rig themselves into power or people that stay in Abuja and decide the candidates that should represent Anambra (when they know nothing about the state)? Or is that one of those corruption is a simple stealing?
Johnathan has PhD in zoology: How does that background help his economic policy or his leadership of Nigeria? The current state of Nigeria speaks volume of his PHD importance to this country.
Don’t weep for Nigeria, weep for yourself.

    • Ukpaka

You can also watch Johnathan’s interview on youtube and see how he talks…using words that does not exist in English dictionary. A PhD holder indeed. He should be the head of the zoo department. That’s the educational background he has.

      • Maria

        Or a gardener!

    • Guguru

      Mr False Fabricator,

I also believe that ostriches can fly, that Jonathan sponsors Boko Haram, and that Jonathan has refused to polish his communication style even with his PhD. I believe when Jonathan opens up his mouth to speak, other leaders cringe and and weep inside. LOL!

    • Omoagunmate

Why do Janathan’s e-Rats, supporters and all those around him always talking from their anus all the time? Everything about the man, and all those around him is always unintelligent, dull, boring and inept. This surely cannot be deliberate, must be just a case of birds of a feather flock together.

  • BlackieUmukoro

Unkind cut. This is most ungentlemanly. To go book is not by force. Please say you were misquoted

  • Rommel

Someone please help because I am getting confused here, who is this person described as “cosmopolitan highly focused PhD holder”? does the PDP have another candidate different from the one I know?

That is how to know sycophants…Jonathan is the worst person lay claim to PhD degree… it is even disgusting to hear some people claiming he holds a PhD. PhD my foot… Jonathan is an illiterate like his wife.

Buhari got to the peak of his career as a Major General and former Head of State which is equivalent to a minimum of Phd in any profession. Professor Wale needs to be reminded that is the same Semi-illiterate jackboot in the person of Obasanjo that single handedly imposed Jonathan on PDP and Nigeria 4 yrs ago. What rubbish is the Prof talking about. The truth is that PDP have repeated a class (consisting of abject poverty, No electricity, insecurity, corruption, unemployment, backward educational system, oil pilfering, creation of Bokoharam , Niger Delta Militants, kidnappers etc) for good 16 years. It is time for them to be expelled from Governance. They cannot pass. No amount of sentiments based on religion and ethnicity would work this time around bcos poverty and insecurity is no respecter of any religion and ethnicity .Period!

You are right. And I asked myself, and dem say dis one (Goodluck Jonathan) get Phd! Na wa o!

Liar. When Jonathan met with Obama in the white house reading the transcripts of their press conference, everything Jonathan said was translated as inaudible. Jonathan cannot read and I am sure he can barely write. Soon, we shall deal with the issue of his fake PhD. Jonathan is a disgrace to all PhD holders.

Why you are busy insulting each other here, you failed to even review the statements made by the PDP national secretary, Wale Oladipo. Here is one that I find interesting. “Mr. Oladipo said the Youwin programme of the Federal Government had begun to yield results as a beneficiary of the project recently donated N1million to the party after just two years in the programme. “Our party is determined to produce many Bill Gates in this country,” he said.” So the measurement of YouWin’s success is that a recipient donated N1million to GEJ. There is no report of the kind of business the person is doing, how many people he employed etc. I stopped commenting because the very intelligent people on this platform are allowing Reno Omokri and his band of cyberbullies to make every issue a point of insult instead of in depth analysis. Just imagine the words coming from Wale’s lips. This country is in trouble.

  • Rommel

Why on earth has PDP chosen this line of reasoning? why have they decided to do this great injustice by attempting to unmask their masquerade in public? a man that won election because of sympathy Nigerians had on him after we helped rescue him from under the Hijab of Turai Yar’adua? was he able to say anything of substance during his campaign? is his wife not the only person that has come out to tell us that he was her teacher and liked her because she was very brilliant? wonders they say would never end

  • pastorakinleye

The delegation of PDP members from Diaspora received at the PDP headquarters are probably failed diasporans or lackluster refugees looking for validation and resettlement back home after their failed sojourn. Anybody from abroad who is not appalled by the current malaise in Nigeria is definitely INSANE. The road to Nigeria’s redemption bypasses PDP territory.

I can’t believe people who claim nigeria as their motherland could be this abusive to their president. Yeye president.

    • Guguru

      The truth,

      Does Nigeria have a President?

      • Ibraheem Aruna

Guguru make effort to be less abusive to him and be more constructive and objective. Anything less than this makes comments less interesting.

        • Guguru

          Ibraheem,

What did I say wrong? What was abusive about my question? Do you suppose a President who treats terrorists with “kid gloves” and who hangs out with a known and highly alleged sponsor of terror (Ali Modu Sheriff), is indeed a President? Why don’t you start by telling me what a President means to you? Maybe this way i could begin to appreciate your concerns or the errors of my ways, correct?

        • endingNaija

How is the simple observation and acknowledgement that we do not have a president an abuse?

    • endingNaija

Which President? Answer me! This Ogogoro man? Which President?

  • Lanus

This Wale Olunipakun must be an illiterate himself.
Every educated admirer of GEJ will surely not dare to even discuss educational qualifications let alone the Phd that GEJ possesses

  • Maria

Jonathan and his wife are illiterates.

    • the truth

      May God forgive you

      • Omoagunmate

For saying the truth? don’t be silly.

      • endingNaija

for redeeming the truth you failed woefully to redeem after much pleading all these days? Haba irredeemable the truth! Why now?

    • Guguru

      Maria,

      You are blessed. Well said.

  • Guguru

Below is a picture of the President of Nigeria kneeling around and hanging out with a highly alleged sponsor of terror. And, he can barely communicate effectively to a truly educated audience. Some of us are ashamed to be Nigerians as a result of these pictures and these behaviors. If you are not ashamed of being Nigerian as a result of this man’s actions, I urge you to check yourself and your mind.

    • Ha

Hahaha… a PhD holder!!! Is the man standing a Professor?

      • Guguru

        LOL!

      • Maria

That man never went to university.

      • endingNaija

See the Ogogoro eye. E don drink Ogogoro taya for Aso Rock! E no know anything pass Ogogoro.

    • Omoagunmate

The man is fed up and wants out. Those urging him on are doing it for their own selfish interest.

    • endingNaija

This is a disgrace! President Jonathan shames us all the time. This is disgraceful!

    • Maria

      See mumu PhD holder!

      • Guguru

        LOL!

  • Ukpaka

I’m pretty sure Wale Oladipo is mistaking GMB for Patient Johnathan. We know how literate madam is. When you live in a glass house, you don’t want to be throwing stones. This guy should be advising his master on how to avert needless bombings and loss of lives and not to be making statements that hurt his master more than anything. We understand the more insult they throw at GMB, the more $$$ they extort from Johnathan but there is a line that should not be crossed. Johnathan should be working to free those kidnapped girls and stop all the killings either by BK Haram, the armed forces or the death trap we call roads.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Bring on Mrs Buhari…..you are not even allowed to see her face, she is in Puddah prison in the back-yard but you have the guts to castigate a hard-working First Lady

      • Guguru

        Tawanda,

So, being conservative is now a sin, correct? How many times did Obasanjo allow his wife to be in the public domain like Jonathan allows his wife?

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Mrs OBJ was educated and very much in the lime-light !……..she was not in Sharia Puddah prison !!

          • Guguru

            Tawanda,

I asked a simple question: “How many times did Obasanjo allow his wife to be in the public domain like Jonathan allows his wife?”

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

            uncountable times !

          • Guguru

            Tawanda,

            Define “unaccountable times”?

  • Maria

…”This blood where are sharing”…”Na only u waka com”…. that is the cosmopolitan english according to Otuoke cosmoplotan PhD holders.

    • Guguru

      LOL

    • Adeleke Adesanya

      Laugh oooooooooooooo. Diaris goduoooooo

      • Ukpaka

        lol

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

It is a lot more better than wickedly locking a woman in PUDDAH all her life……Nigerians do not know Mrs Buhari !

      • Guguru

        Tawanda,

Maybe Nigerians are not interested in knowing Mrs Buhari, correct?

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

          Na you know !

          • Guguru

            I have no idea. LOL.

      • Maria

That is not a point… the one we know is a disgrace to womanhood… Moreso, how many people knew Madam “na only u waka com” before OBJ handpicked Otuoke PhD holder as VP? It is even better for her to be locked than disgracing our country women.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Since you are female MAY YOUR HUSBAND CONFINE YOU TO PUDDAH FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE….AMEN !

          • Guguru

            Tawanda,

Are you psychic? How do you know Maria is a female? Are you having trouble focusing your mind this evening?

          • endingNaija

But Tawanda has not taken his medication this evening. He need to go real quick and takeit and then come back to join his people for his pay!

          • Guguru

            I agree.

          • endingNaija

But he (Tawanda) needs to go and take his medication. Truly. He needs it right now!

          • Guguru

            LOL. Correct.

          • endingNaija

Tawanda Mom said I should ask you if you have taken your medication today. Have you? Please go and take it if you have not taken your medication. It is getting worse for you! Too bad Tawanda!

      • PureNigerian

GEJ went to the same school PEJ attended that speak volumes

  • Truthometer

Dumbo is a PhD holder from otuoke modern school. His PhD is far more worthless than tissue paper. I will align with the incorruptible people’s general from now till very last, no matter the label robbers party, PDP, called him. Buhari’s character speaks for him any day.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Buhari never read O’levels…he did middle school which was just a clearance house for the Saduana and northern Emirs to get their wards into the Army. He was sent to Aldershot England for Officers training due to quota .Is that enough to challenge GEJ a university don ………….make una carry timeooooo

      • Maria

We learnt Jonathan only graduated from modern 3, equivalent of JSS3 in his days…lol!

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

          Na lie !!

          • Guguru

            LOL

          • endingNaija

Na lie? But it it the truth!

      • Guguru

LOL! GEJ who cannot communicate with a chimp is a university don? Hvae you taken time to listen to Jonathan speak? What do you feel inside after listening to his atrocious use of the English language—–rage, disappointment, resentment, despondency, etc?

      • Musa Aliyu

Nigeria university don no wonder they conspired to rig for him last election. time we go see

      • Truthometer

A corrupt pen robber with a PhD in Corruption is of no value to a nation, compared to an incorruptible and upright middle scholar, as you called Buhari, who through unparalleled dedication and hard work was able to get to the peak of his career. Buhari’s character speaks for him any day. People like you need to be scared, because you are about to lose your corrupt means of livelihood in 2015. I sympathize with you and your likes.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

$2.8 billion vanished on his watch at the Petroleum ministry,he must account for it,he must face treason charges for coup-plotting,he must face murder charges for killing 3 yoruba accused drug traffickers through retro-active draconian decrees
SO MUCH FOR CHARACTER……..CHARACTER MY FOOT !!

          • Guguru

            Tawanda,

Any evidence of this missing money? By the way, why has Jonathan not released the report on the financial forensics done on the missing $20 billion which Ngozi promised to release in November 2014?

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The world’s most reputable auditing firm Pricewaterhouse is carrying out a meticulous forensic investigation and the report will be out ….this is transparency in governance,it will shame sceptics and haters like you !

          • Guguru

            Tawanda,

How do you know I am a hater? LOL! I asked you why the report is not yet out since the Jonathan administration promised it would be out by November 2014. So, is Jonathan and Ngozi also lying about the report? Will Nigerians ever get to see any reports after $20 billion has disappeared?

          • Truthometer

You can continue to talk about an imaginary missing $2.8 billion that cannot be substantiated. Dumbo is yet to tell Nigerians what he did with their $20 billion and many more $ billion missing. I repeat, Buhari’s character speaks for him any day. All the cooked corrupt books of Dumbo and his evil party, PDP, shall be opened as soon as the much awaited upright man, Buhari, takes the reign of power. Bro, be very scared, because you have all the reasons in the world to be.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Pricewaterhouse house is gonna come out with a report, meanwhile the Senate committee set up to investigate the baseless allegation by SLS another APC surrogate has since declared that no kobo is missing.
Buhari’s $2.8 billion dollars just vanished into thin air and has never been found to date !!

  • Backward_Nigeria

Officially I am 73years old but my real age is 84years …….. my name is Robert Mugabe Mohammed Morsi Buhari and I am determined to move Nigeria backwards into chaos and instability …… laced with much bloodshed.

I had warned them that the dogs and the baboons will be soaked in blood but they refused to listen …. what else can I do ?

    • Maria

      Clown.

    • Jerry Idrissa

haha…that’s more like it. Imagine a retired Fulani cattle-rarer general/junta/coupist/dictator dreaming of running Africa’s biggest economy. That APC even considered such a person is a serious indictment of that party. Wonders shall never end.

    • Omoagunmate

      A o fi erin je Oba…

      • endingNaija

See King Jonathan Nebu’s Ogogoro hat! Na wa o! Una no go “kill” person with laaafu! Tanks sha!

    • Notorious

What is wrong with you? Be careful!

  • Amir

Port Harcourt Degree. Meaningless in the intellectual world. Doctor of incompetence. Please show me another degree holder!

    • Jerry Idrissa

call him what you like, he is, and shall continue to be better than a retired Fulani cattle-rarer general/junta/coupist/dictator.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Wetin ya Papa get ? Wetin you sef get ?….abegi go siddon for dorty !!

      • Guguru

        LOL

      • Maria

Better not to get than not getting and claiming you get. Jonathan is an illiterate.

  • Guguru

When Jonathan is speaking, there is serious go-slow and traffic of ideas in his head. Some ideas take the wrong and long route and others stop in the many poorly located bus stops in his mind, while wondering where they have to go to next. The aggregate effect is that incoherence and near sub-human communication capacity becomes painfully obvious and evident.

    • Jerry Idrissa

…and when Buhari speaks? Only cattle understands his speech — as a Fulani herdsman that he is

      • Guguru

        Jerry,

You conducted a structured or semi-structured interview with these cattle to know these? What did the cattle tell you about how they felt about Buhari? Do you have a fever this evening? Do you need your Panadol?

        • Jerry Idrissa

maybe if you can provide information on Buhari’s education then we can advance the conversation. Until then, GEJ is and SHALL remain your president

          • Guguru

Well, Buhari speaks better than Jonathan. Everyone agrees with this. Jonathan’s education, assuming he has one, appears like a waste of societies resources. He can barely speak better than a primary 5 pupil. He is incomprehensible, and I suspect this is partly the genesis of his poor performance. If he cannot be understood, then what good is he to Nigeria?

          • Jerry Idrissa

“…Buhari speaks better than Jonathan” — am I to assume now that this your position? Or that of the majority? Hola me please

          • Guguru

Your assumptions are not necessary for the establishment of such irrefutable facts as is self-evident in Jonathan’s poor communication skills. Nonetheless, it is your choice of which assumption you may wish to indulge yourself. LOL!

          • Jerry Idrissa

for showing a better than average writing skills, I would expect that you’d spend a great deal of time researching both candidates thoroughly before casting aspersions. Just a thought…

          • Guguru

Much thought has been expended on the nature of both men. I find communication key in any leadership attribute. Nonetheless, In the real world, you could be my student or subordinate. Give that some thought. LOL!

          • Jerry Idrissa

Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention — much thought has been expended on the nature of both men already? — and you failed to realize that Buhari is a retired military junta/dictator? I would have never guessed.

          • Guguru

What has being part of a junta to do with the poor communication style of Jonathan? Assuming Buhari was an angel for a day, would that suddenly change the fact that Jonathan is incoherent when he speaks?

          • PureNigerian

But come to think of it, Buhari delivers written messages better that GEJ and he writes better as well

          • Guguru

            PureNigerian,

            Very true.

          • PureNigerian

            Check youtube for videos dud

          • Jerry Idrissa

I was in New York the last time GEJ came and made a speech. I know firsthand what I witnessed, and certainly not a youtube video.

      • endingNaija

And when the Ogogoro fisherman Goodluck Jonathan speaks only his fellow drunkards and creek fishes understand him!

    • Jack

Youre bang on in your remark my man, they are planning on rigging election, just cos you defeated someone 3ice doesnt mean you will always defeat them. The stakes are high now, this govt are incompetent but buried in their own delusion, they will be shocked to bone when they are flushed out. Buhari is talking about electricity, PDP are busy assasinating characters, is character assisination going to give us electricity and put food of on the table of the masses? hell no! Oladipo is talking from his own daftness!

      • Guguru

        Well said.

  • Sina Ajiboye

Obviously this PDP guy is not a Professor. How can you call a full star general of the Nigerian army an illiterate. He is a disgrace and ignorant. Buhari attended the finest military colleges. Why do Jonathan men keep making unnecessary enemies for him. How do you think other military officers will feel

  • the truth

Guys we have to bury our hatchets and stop this insults against each other. Go get your pVC’s or shut the hell up. This is really disgraceful, the way we are insulting both Buhari and GEJ. Some people in here were never taught manners or went to kennedy Boboye Primary School. Keep it classy guys

    • endingNaija

Too late. You started it. Since you wrongly want Goodluck Jonathan for Ngeria aay what Jonathan has brought onto Nigeria as mentioned be your lot! Say Amen in Jesus name…Amen.

  • Preco01

SERIOUSLY PDP,REALLY SERIOUSLY, IS this all you guys can offer Nigerians after all these years of Callous, clueless, corrupt and totally incompetent rulership?
DOES JOHNATHAN SOUND LITERATE TO ANY SENSIBLE PERSON? PLEASE LET THIS CAMPAIGN BE A REFERENDUM ON JOHNATHAN’S MISRULE PERIOD. WHY DOES JOHNATHAN THINK HE DESERVES ANOTHER TERM?

    • Jerry Idrissa

…and why do you think that a retired Fulani cattle-rarer general/junta/coupist/dictator is a better choice? Maybe you can start by highlighting his (Buhari) educational background.

      • Akiika

…and what is your’s? that you can’t figure out the difference between “rarer” and “rearer”.
The educational qualification GMB has, you may not achieve it in your lifetime.
He graduated as a military Lieutenant in Royal Military Academy, UK
He graduated as a Brig. General from the US Army war college Carlisle, Pennsylvannia US…same school Collin Powel graduated from. The curriculum at the US Army War college is equivalent to a masters in Strategic studies. Maybe we should ask you TANmites to show us a single thesis from our president with a Phd?

        • Jerry Idrissa

…so what do you learn from an army war college? Since you’re in a “devulgatory” mode.

          • Akiika

Why you dey advertise your ignorance now? You think say na only to shoot gun dem dey teach for army college?

  • Ajayi Ifayemi

The insults only show the level of desperation. Base your campaign on issues and not insults Mr. PDP Secretary.

  • Unbiased

Huhuhu…. APC little minions are out tonight…. Waiting for the Archaic PDP to fight back…. So hilarious!!

  • Prof. Wole Soyinka

The choice of Mohammadu Buhari as APC Presidential candidate is a collective insult on the dignity of Nigerians and a serious indictment on the one-man-controlled political party APC.

I expect INEC to disqualify long expired Buhari and pave way for active candidates.

    • Jack

Come see ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! PDP barawos! They have hijacked Soyinka’s picture and quoting like “soyinka”. Nigerians shine your eye, PDP are deceitful, thugs, Robbers, corrupt and hideous! Let kick them out now!

      • Jon Rhoma

Don’t you know that it is an offence to impersonate somebody? Why are you speaking like an illiterate?

        • Jack

You must be blind, check the forum before you post, as usual PDP alway shoot before they aim

      • Jon Rhoma

So you think Prof Soyinka is too big to post comments on this forum? What is there to check, his photo? Try use it see whether you will not be sued.

        • Jack

Go and check the grammar and you will know that a Nobel Laureate in Literature will never write “long expired” and the reasoning is a fallacy, How can INEC disqualify Buhari when they(INEC) participated in the APC Presidential Primaries that returned Buhari?

        • Maria

Animal…discuss does not verify picture or handles…even the socalled email…they dont verify the owners of the emails. you are a muguI will put the prof picture to show your yeye head that you are f00l.

          • Jon Rhoma

I rest my case. Thank God for social media that brings people like you across my path. Good Bye.
Subject: Re: comment on PDP labels Buhari a “semi-literate jackboot” who will lose again

      • Jon Rhoma

Jack, please grow up. This forum is monitored and moderated. E-mail addresses are verified so how can it not be the real person? The man’s Nobel Laurette is not in Literature but achieved through activism. Go and check.

    • emmanuel

Buhari cannot be disqualified, he is serving the Yoruba agenda.

      • Jack

Absolutely, Buhari will serve the Hausas, Fulanis, Yorubas and Edos Agenda! Period!

        • Olufemi Aboaba

The Yorubam hausa, Fulanis, Edos (as you listed them) …..etc agenda which is to end corruption in the land, end poverty in the land and grow the
economy, make the economy productive again beyond depending on just one product,
guarantee lives of every one respect the law, govern in accordance with the rules and constitution,
grow education, the middle class and working class and spread
employment and prosperity to all Nigerians EQUALLY so that we live once
again in peace and love INCLUSIVELY! That is the Buhari/Osinbajo “Yoruba” “Hausa” “Fulanis” “Edos” (I am just repeating the list of ethnic groups you listed) agenda which
is also THE NATIONAL NIGERIAN PATRIOTIC AGENDA. Jack na emmanuel dont you like this Patriotic National Agenda the ends poverty in the land so that nobody will beg again in Nigeria?

      • Olufemi Aboaba

which is actually a National Agenda. And that National Agenda is to end corruption in the land, end poverty in the land and grow the economy, make it productive beyond depending on just one product, respect the law, govern in accordance with the rules and constitution, grow education, the middle class and working class and spread employment and prosperity to all Nigerians EQUALLY so that we live once again in peace and love INCLUSIVELY! That is the “Yoruba” agenda which is also THE NATIONAL NIGERIAN PATRIOTIC AGENDA

  • TRUTH MASTER

It’s been said that the hood does not make the monk. GEJ’s PhD is simply inscrutable. Of what use is this PhD that has only delivered cluelessness and incompetence to Nigeria? Obama has no PhD but presides over the foremost nation on earth.Mandela never had a PhD but became a global icon. Let Buhari not even have a school cert, he stands head and shoulders above the discombobulated GEJ!!!

    • Guguru

Jonathan neither is a monk nor does he have a hood. We do not know what he is or what plans he prepares for Nigeria. His reign of despondency thickens the once bright and clear skies of our nation.

  • Oleku

    Alert!!!

As we all already know, amalgamation expired midnight 1st January, 2014! In a few days from now it will mark one year since that unfortunate landmark was achieved. Therefore, it is about time Nigeria get divided into; Arewa Republic, Biafra Republic, Middle Belt Republic, Niger Delta Republic and Oduduwa Republic without any further delay. Idiotic Lugard commited a colossal crime against humanity by amalgamating strange bed fellows into same Union. Why did Britain not amalgamate itself with France, Spain and/or Portugal. All four nations put together is not even up to the population of continent Nigeria – why? The UK on a daily basis laments it membership with the EU but erroneously brought people from different cultures, religion, values and traditions together. Without mincing words Lord Lugard must face justice posthumously for this blunder. But whilst we await his trial in The Hague, it is imperative we do the needful. Every nation that made up this fraudulent contraption must secede asap. Goodbye Nigeria.

Oh Biafra; land of the risen sun, African Dubai here we come!

    Long live Ojukwu
    Long live Ken Wiwa
Long live all warriors of freedom and self determination

unny how some Ibo people are blindly supporting GEj only because of a historical hatred of Yorubas and a somewhat wishy-washy hope that the southeast will secede with them one day because along with their oil. I feel sorry for you. You guys (Ibos) tend to unite only when you gap have a common enemy: oftentimes Yorubas or Hausas . By yourselves as Ibos you are enemies of each other. You fight your fellow Ibos internally. Good luck getting your own Biafra state one day where all will laugh at you as you fight each other and start to apply for visa to come and trade in yorubaland and other fragments of Nigeria.

Please go back and cross check the source of your false information on Buhari ……. I am always in wonder …. if Buhari is so good ….. why must people lie to promote their desire for Nigerians to buy into the doomed Buhari project of Bola Tinubu.

All that you have written above on Buhari is simply the zenith of falsehood ….. the facts and the records are there; go check them ….. Buhari remains uneducated in all fields of human endeavour

      • Jack

Hahahaha! Come see PDPs “Prof Soyinka”…LMAO..these ijaws people just seeing the light are thinking others have been in darkness…lol..Continue fake professor! what a jerk! Shameful!

      • Wähala

Go listen and watch Christine Amanpour laughing and teasing your moron on international tv interview and you will understand what I mean by, “contaminated education” is what you pfools get in our riverine enclaves. Drunks struggling to speak English is simply put, speaking in tongues! Hahaha chai… tufiaa!

      • Ha

Impersonator. Stop hiding behind our respected Professor Soyinka. These are the real professors. Why can’t you hide behind your Dr Dumbo?

      • zygote

If Jonathan with a Phd can be considered educated, then Boko Haram is right western education is useless.

      • Akiika

This alatenuje business don Crase Una finish, wetin dem dey cross check? This astounding record that is public is too good for you to believe, abi? That is GMB for you.

The Arewa Youth Group spoke about the Yoruba Presidential agenda today and they spoke the truth.

If Buhari win the presodency, he will not outlive one year according to their suspicion, meaning that Tinubu will takeover fully

    • Prez@advisor

Are you the one that will ensure he doesnt outlive one year? where do you get these ideas from?

    • Jack

Arewa Youth Group is sponsored by Kaduna State Governor! A PDP Governor..so the rest is history!

A semi illiterate president(according to this PDP man) that can protect his citizens from random kidnaps from school is much better than a PHD holder whose citizens have been kidnapped for over 18 days before he realizes what has happened. I suppported GEJ before that event but that 18 days delay is still impossible to comprehend….

  • Thepeople

Phd holder? please don’t Nigerians laugh. Phd holders are cringing. Let the real Phd holders please stand up.

WALE OLADIPO IS A DISGRACE TO YORUBA RACE. THIS WAS A MAN THAT CONTESTED GUBERNATORIAL IN OSUN STATE IN 2011 AND HE WAS FLOORED MERCILESSLY, A FAILED PROFESSOR OF PHYSICS, WHILE OTHER PROFESSORS ARE BUSY WITH ATOMIC ENERGY AND ITS INTERACTION, WALE IS STEALING FROM NIGERIANS. THESE PEOPLE HAVE CHEAPENED PROFESSORS AND THATS WHY MOST NIGERIAN PROFESSORS ARE NOT RECOGNISED OUTSIDE OUR SHORES

    • Funso

We know Wale. Just leave the omo ale alone. He has no worth in Yorubaland. We Yorubas know. Wale belongs to the group Bastard Doyin Okugbe belongs. If that is the Yoruba President Jonathan works with , then President Jonathan is gone. And we know he is gone finally!

      • Jack

        Ose baba mi

  • Tonnero

If you are still enlightening people about your party programmes after SIXTEEN years in power, then there is clearly a problem. China lifted 680m people out of poverty in the twenty year period between 1981 and 2001. Here PDP is still trying to enlighten us about its programmes after 16 years in power! The same way they are still trying to improve electricity supply 10 years after the NIPP projects were first conceived. Same way they are trying to pass the PIB 6 years after the bill was first submitted to NASS and same way they awarded and re-awarded contracts for the East-West Road, the second Niger budge etc. PDP Magic.

  • Maria

Our cosmopolitan PhD holder president cannot even present budgets to the nation… many years now he has been dodging budget presentations… PhD holders are taught to be articulate and deep in thought… people who have demonstrated the ability to solve problems never solved before, and with ability to prove their solutions and convince experts(peers) in their fields of the feasibility of their proposed solutions… Mr Jonathan cannot demonstrate any of these attributes. Rather he admits every now and then that he is clueless….two weeks ago, he claimed his efforts are not yielding results because of saboteurs, a week later he blamed his advisors for giving him contradictory advice… lol! Cosmopolitan PhD holder indeed! lol!!!

    • Silly you

      What are blabbing about? Animal!

      • Maria

Lol! Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Yah papal na animal…The point is that your cosmopolitan PhD holder president is a fake PhD holder.

      • Truthometer

A PhD with specialization in corruption and stealing of public funds, from the creek, awarded by egbesu modern school is as worthless as the awardee.

Who is this Chukwu Obidike and his cohorts claiming to be speaking fo Nigerians in Diaspora? I am UK based and I know how majority of Nigerians view the present Government and hoping for positive change come next year. This group of people are just representing themselves and their stomach. For PDP, whether GMB is illiterate or semi-literate jackboot, he is going to defeat their clueless and non-challant PhD holder GEJ and will use that jackboot to match their party to oblivion. God help Nigerians.

I can’t wait to hear what Sahara Reporter’s Dr Damages would say about this. PDP has gone mad. Last time they said Jonathan was Jesus Christ, this time they want to say he is Wole Soyinka!!!

  • Giganto

If Mr Jonothing truly has a PhD, why is hiding his thesis? Let Nigerians and the whole world see his PhD thesis so that we can further applaud his intellectual ability

    • Ebubedike

How many PhD Theses have you read, especially outside your field of Sharia Law?

      • Giganto

I don’t need to read every other person’s PhD thesis. Mr Jonothing is looking for a job as the president of Nigeria. For me, being one of his employer, it is my right to vet his credentials and as of that process I have demanded to see his PhD thesis since he has claimed to have obtained one.

        • Sopulu

If you wrote “being one of his employer,” you’re not good enough to seat on the interview panel. If a PhD thesis hit you in the face, you would not recognize it.

          • Guguru

And how did you determine this? Are you a babalawo?

          • Otile

            Lol

          • Edo girl

Funny how some Ibo people are blindly supporting GEj only because of a historical hatred of Yorubas and a somewhat wishy-washy hope that the southeast will secede with them one day because along with their oil.

          • Otile

Be honest, man. You are no Edo girl. You are the same Yoruba man who claims to be Igbo, now you are claiming to be Edo girl. First of all, man know thyself. Pray to the Lord thus: Domino, noverim me, noverim Te.

As for the people killing themselves, you know where it is happening. You wish it was happening in Igboland. When they finish with their people they will focus attention odo yin ati ilu yin, then you will flee en mass to Dahomey and Togo.

You know this to be true.

          • Edo girl

Actually regarding the point of your first paragraph, I have no idea what you are talking about…. Lol… Me and my sisters here were laughing at how it has to always be a man when a girl is writing sense…. God help our patriarchal society.
For your info, I am from Benin and grew up in both Ibadan and Benin. I speak Edo and Yoruba fluently with good working knowledge of ibo from Anambra.
            Anyway back to substance:
Here is how I know of ibo in-fighting? Well I have ibo family members via marriage and lived with them and their communities long enough. I was shocked at how disunited they are when a common enemy is not around…
If you guys want Nigeria scattered then maybe it really should scatter so that the truth of certain tribes will come out.

          • Otile

You are omo Odua, you sound like omo Odua, you see Igbo with your myopic view of omo Odua. Everybody claims they have studied Igbo people, they can read Igbo minds, they know everything about Igbo and within a short time Igbo are going to kill themselves to the last man. If you think that what is keeping us from killing ourselves is because you our oppressors are holding us from killing ourselves as is in Arewa now, that is ridiculous. All these are bad belle and bullshit.

Igbo people will outlive their oppressors. Our oppressors have started killing themselves off in Arewa, soon mass death will visit you ill-wishers in Oduduwaland. Your only backup will be fleeing to Dahomey, Togoland, Gold Coast Upper Volta and perhaps Senegambia. Shemale say Amen.

          • Giganto

On the issue of whether I have ever seen PhD thesis in my life, I have no answer. I will NEVER EVER join issue with you on it. I know for a fact that Jonothing requires my vote, hence I am one of his employer. If you choose to be timid and do not see yourself as being capable of interviewing Jonothing for the job, I am more than happy to help you on this at any time of the day.

          • Sopulu

If you write “one of his employer,” it means you have unfinished business with WAEC/NECO. Finish that before examining PhDs. Just a suggestion.

          • Giganto

How has this affected the fact that I have the right to see his thesis before I employ him?

  • jungle

Major General Buhari! Here is a central question for you, since you are running under the hide of “incorruptible and honesty”. If there are evidences of corruption against your benefactors, (Tinubu, Ameachi, fashola, Atiku and co.), would you allow a probe and possibly, sentencing of these fellows? Honestly answer this question. And if you are honest, in your answer, then, I will mobilize a million votes for you. i will at the same time mobilize a match, seeking, Jonathan’s honorable withdrawal from the race. But, if you are dishonest, then, i can promise that i will mobilize a one million man match against you. You will come on national TV and announce to the whole world your answer, and if yes, you would be made to sign papers to that extent. Don’t joke, because this is my project and you will, soonest, hear from us. And this would be nation wide.

  • Peace_3

Alhaji Shehu Shagari was far better than than this useless PhD. By the way how many PhD in different fields does a president need to have to be able to govern a country? Whoever advanced this argument is bereft of ideas. He just talked for the sake of talking to be heard. You don’t need a PhD to know that majority of Nigerians do not have access to safe water and you don’t need a PhD in Zoology to fix that. People should think before they talk.

    • Uwadiegwu

“Alhaji Shehu Shagari was far better,” you claim. Why did your coupist, murderous, wicked, illiterate “messiah,” Bokohari, remove him from power to introduce the economic policy of trade by barter and a battered economy that left Nigerians queuing for “essential commodities” (essenco)?

      • Peace_3

I’m comparing Shagari without a PhD with you president with a PhD that’s not worth very much in real term. So understand the main point. It’s a matter of time before Nigerians start queuing again for essential commodies.

I guess the bad and worthless product you are talking about here is Buhari…

      • endingNaija

Ole, you don come? Zygote put King Goodluck Jonathief Nebu’s useless Phd on the spot. When someone has a Phd as claimed by King Nebu, then we should start checking the kind of “education” going on in the creeks! Anyway Wale Oladipo is a “Professor” of hand out and he ‘taught” the King Jonathief Nebu very well! If King Goodluck Jonathan Nebu actually went to school, then we need to begin to ask serious questions.

    • Sword of Damocles

That deserves a drum roll. said it all.

There goes this PDP again. Mr. Oladipo, I think you lack decorum. Is it because you want to win election at all cost that you failed to realize that GMBH was a past Head of State before? I think you people are becoming petty. One would expect that by now you should be using facts to win the conscience of Nigerians and not by attacking persons. So how much improvement has your literate govt brought to Nigerians? As literate as your govt is, you still have to review budget more than twice because of your deficient literacy. In a free election do you think your party can win election again? Please literate Oladipo, stop insulting our past Head of State. You are not teaching the younger generation a good virtue.

Calling Buhari a semi literate is an affront not to Buhari but the institution that trained him in the best academic amd military institution in the world, The Nigerian Army. Pdp has lost it and they are finished, Pdp and their supporters are on rampage hurling insults at anyone who gives their own candid and unbiased view on Gej. Pdp and their supporters are no longer telling Nigerians what other promise they have for Nigeria and Nigerians. They have exhausted all their Lies.

    • Otile

Did Imam Buhari pass any of the many exams he took? They sent him all over the world along with other officers but he flunked every exam he took. I tell you this man is shameless. Even Abacha one of the dullest passed 2 exams. Nigeria should be ashamed to have a person of his low mental capacity veing for the office of presidency.

In otherparts of the world it is not enough to present yourself as a General or Field Marshall, you must attain a minimum of Bachelors degree to vie for such posts. Why are the Fulanis setting us back again. Nonsense

      • Garden-City Boy

That is not the issue. Just a simple question. Don’t relate it to whether Jonathan is President or Buhari angling to replace him, and every take sentiment out of it. IS BUHARI SEMI-ILLITERATE or not? That is the question.

      • Etomi

Assuming but not conceding to you that King Goodluck “Nebu” Jonathan is a thief…

I guess this is a long piece..
But for a man you appear to so much adore, you ought to be patient to assimilate as much of him as possible…

        BUHARI AND PTF

Once Abacha consolidated with the appointment of some of the politicians and leaders of civil society into his cabinet, he fashioned a scheme to fleece the Nigerian people of money by increasing the pump price of petrol from N3.25k to N11.00 per litre in October 1994. When Nigerians protested this, in March 1995, he wheeled out Buhari as his joker by appointing him Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF). Abacha said the PTF was established to use portion of the proceeds of the increase to intervene in critical sectors of the economy. What this meant in practical terms was that this was a super-parastatal bigger than any ministry and answerable to none. In fact, it was severally described as “a parallel government”. With a starting fund of N61 billion, it had more funds than three-quarters of the ministries combined. By the time it was being disbanded by President Obasanjo in 1999, records show it had collected N181, 795, 000, 000 (One hundred and eighty one billion, seven hundred and ninety five million Naira).

Now, what you normally hear from the pro-Buhari crowd about his period as Chairman of the PTF are extremely selective and sanitized accounts of how contracts for roads and other things were executed, how contractors were paid on time and how they patronized Nigerian drugs producers for the hospitals, etc. But, let’s just let that be, the lies and all; let’s look at something else that they never ever discuss. The thing you will never hear from them is how Buhari ran the affairs of the PTF. True, PTF had other board members like Tayo Akpata who was the Secretary and Group Captain Usman Jibrin, a board member who actually accused Buhari of corruption and who resigned in protest at the way Buhari ran the place.

In an interview with the Sunday Trust of 18thOctober 2009, Group Captain Jibrin explained why he left thus: “What happened was that he (Buhari) followed the wrong procedure initially. He brought in the late Ahmad Salihijo without informing us. We just saw these boys in the meeting. We asked him, who are
these boys? He said that they were just helping him to take notes. We didn’t know that he engaged them as consultants without our knowledge and consent because we are all members. I told him that it was wrong. As trustees, if something went wrong, we were the people that would be prosecuted, not any other
person. I asked them to change the procedure and they were not ready to change it. I said ok, bye, bye….”

The name Ahmad Salihijo is a recurrent one in the corruption at the PTF. He was Buhari’s brother in-law who was his front at the organization. The account of Group Captain Jibrin above is a tip of the iceberg. Before being brought in through the backdoor he had registered a company known as Afri-Projects Consortium (APC), which acted as the sole super-consultant, sole-adviser and super-contractor to the PTF. This was the company that was the gateway to the organization, the only one that acted on behalf of Buhari who was the Czar of this empire. Pro-Buhari people will tell you the PTF released annual reports or statements, but of what value were these under Abacha? Of what value was a report card that only you
prepared for yourself? The important fact was that throughout his time as PTF Chairman, there was not one independent audit of such a huge organization handling such massive public funds. Suffice it to say the rapaciousness of the stealing is detailed in a public document, which is the report of the Interim
Management Committee set up in 1999 to investigate the affairs of the organization and supported by three independent auditing firms.

The report reads like a manual of how to rip a public institution to pieces. There were six major areas in which the PTF intervened directly during the period. These were in the areas of roads and waterways; supply of educational materials and rehabilitation of educational infrastructure; food supply; health; water
supply and what was curiously termed “other projects”. One of such other projects was the building of an estate in Wuse Abuja, something entirely not within its mandate. Afri-Projects Consortium was given the exclusive power to initiate projects, assess their probable cost, approve the costs, execute the
projects, and assess the quality of execution, all without oversight from anyone. They reported to no one, but Buhari and there is no official record of any such report in writing. Other PTF board members became toothless as they just watched Buhari and his super-consultants, a lot of whom he appointed personally
as ‘Financial Consultants’ to be dealing with contractors and who report directly to Ahmad Salihijo and himself.

Outside its irregular appointment and operations and charges of “managerial incompetence”, the report indicted Afri-Projects Consortium (APC) for overcharging the PTF for its services to the tune of over N25 billion. The firm directly managed the PTF HIV/AIDS Intervention Programme, knowingly importing
sub-standard, poorly packaged, poorly stored, expired, or soon to expire treatment kits and drugs which the auditors said cost the government N579 million in waste via the stocking of useless drugs and kits in huge silos, all purchased at inflated prices. The same APC purchased large quantities of spectacle frames for N1,900 a piece at a time it cost only N800 a piece locally. Again, this cost the public treasury over N45 million in inflated charges. They further cost the treasury N900 million in inflated charges when
they bought ambulances that cost N3 million each for N13 million each. The report also found that the PTF’s purchase of general drugs through the APC at the cost of N3 billion was overinflated by as much as N1.5 billion. To add salt to injury, most of the drugs in question were expired drugs.

The Interim Management Committee’s consultants also recorded that the PTF residential estate in Wuse, Abuja, which had no government approval and was outside the PTF mandate had cost N703 million where a realistic valuation of the project could not exceed N328 million. Even the PTF’s Headquarters
Extension and Renovation Project which cost the Fund N461 million was determined by the auditors to not cost more than N326 million. The Educational Materials Supply Scheme lost N900 million to inflated charges and non-performance of contracts already paid for. Similarly, N1 billion was recorded to have been siphoned through the Rural Water Supply Scheme in the form of inflated costs and non-performance of contracts already paid for.

The Rural Telecommunications Development Scheme was another project from which money was siphoned. This one was so unbelievably cynical that it was beyond belief. There were two parts to the
scheme – the Pilot Phase and the Main Phase. The first was a condition precedent. It required that the PTF under General Buhari would under this first scheme first determine if the project was viable. If determined not to be viable, invariably, the Main Phase would not be commenced. But even before the
Pilot Phase could be concluded, Buhari awarded the contract for the Main Phase to the tune of N1.6 billion, without any contracts signed, and before any conclusions could be drawn from the Pilot project. The auditors looked at the three main bank accounts of the PTF and concluded that the PTF had been
shortchanged by up to N3.6 billion by way of short payment of interest accruals from deposits, or excessive charges on Cost of Turnover by preferred banks.

I was really taken aback to read the utterances by the so-called Prof. Wale. By the way, who bestowed onto Mr Wale that professorship and who issued out a PhD certificate to Mr Jonathan Goodluck? For those of you, who are academicians is vividly clear that these 2 gentlemen do not deserve the academic titles they presently hold. Why? Please, do a search on google scholar to find out the publications of these quasi academicians. I am afraid you will not come across any of their publications in renowned journals. In that case, who is the illiterate? People, who have any doubts of General Buhari’s qualifications as a soldier can always write to the various institutions he attended to find out about his military capacity and performance. For those of you, who don’t know about GMB, will like like to make it abundantly clear that Buhari graduated as a military officer (Lieutenant) in Royal Military Academy, Aldeshot UK. He attended the Defense College India. Col Buhari attended the US Army War College Carlisle in Pennsylvania from 1979 -1980 and earned his command as a Brigadier General. The respected General Collin Powel attended the same school in 1976 to become Brigadier General. Some of Buhari’s classmates include General Beltson, General Thomas P Carney, General Bill Matz, General David E.K. Cooper etc. all of them are alive and can be reached and they will give glowing tributes of the man, Buhari, they know as their classmate. For the benefits of the readers of this newspaper, I want to make it clear that the curriculum at the U.S. Army War College (attended by Buhari) earns one a Master Degree in Strategic Studies and that is exactly what Buhari has. For somebody to claim that a graduate of such a prestigious school is semi-literate, means something is very wrong with that person’s IQ.

      Desperate subterfuge!
      Tenuous obfuscation!
But he said his running mate Osinbajo has IMPEACHABLE character…..
Seems Buhari’s high class military training did not route him through the difference between UNIMPEACHABLE and IMPEACHABLE…

I don’t have to do any Google scholar search to be apprised of President Goodluck Jonathan’s academic accomplishments any more than I must do a Google scholar search to know whether or not Awolowo bagged a BA and LLB, or whether or not he was a scholar by the definition of the word…
Ogbeni, you are not a scholar by the imprimatur of Google scholar search!!!!!
How many people at the time (1983-1993) GEJ was a lecturer at the DEPT. OF BIOLOGY, RIVERS STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, uploaded their works on Google scholar, if there were anything of the sort then????
Since 1993, GEJ has been in public service, from being an Assistant Director in OMPADEC to Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State in 1999…

          • Arewabetter

Despite being unable to pay civil servants in some of
their states, the 21 governors of the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, on Saturday night donated N1.05 billion to
their party ahead of the 2015 elections.
The governor’s donation was part of the N21.2 billion
raised by the party at its fund raising dinner held at the
    Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Punch Newspapers quotes Isa Yuguda, the Bauchi State
governor, as saying each of the PDP governors donated
N50 million to arrive at N1.05 billion. In several states,
including PDP-controlled states like Benue and Akwa
Ibom, thousands of civil servants have not been paid
salaries; sometimes for up to four months. Mr. Yuguda
did not comment on why the governors felt more obliged
to donate funds to the party when workers were yet to
    be paid.
Apart from the governors, other major donors at the
dinner include Tunde Ayeni, the chairman of Skye Bank,
who PREMIUM TIMES had reported recently as leading a
consortium to purchase the former national carrier,
NITEL, and its mobile subsidiary, MTEL. Mr. Ayeni, who
was chairman of the occasion, donated N2 billion. He
announced that he was donating N1 billion on behalf of
himself and his partner and another billion on behalf of
    his friends.
Also at the event, a former Information Minister, Jerry
Gana, announced a donation of N5 billion on behalf of his
friends and associates in the power sector.
Other major donors as reported by Punch Newspapers
    include players in the Oil and Gas sector – N5 billion;
    players in Real Estate and Building – N4 billion;
Transport and Aviation – N 1billion; Food and
    Agriculture – N500 million; Power – N500 million;
    Construction – N310 million; Road Construction – N250
    million; National Automative Association – N450 million;
Shelter Development Limited – N250 million; and SIFAX
    group – N100 million.
However, the chief fund raiser, Aliko Dangote, did not
make any donation as his representative at the event,
Joseph Makoju, announced he had no mandate to make
one. He said Mr. Dangote would contact the PDP
leadership about his donation once he arrives in the
    country.
At the event, the PDP National Chairman, Adamu
Mu’azu, announced that the money would be used to
complete the party’s headquarters in Abuja and also run
    its affairs.
Mr. Mu’azu and President Goodluck Jonathan appealed to
members who lost various primaries not to leave the
PDP but work with the winners for the 2015 elections.
“If out of anger or frustration, you leave the party
because you didn’t get what you wanted, then you are
not contributing to the growth of democracy,” Mr.
    Jonathan said.

            2. This drunken Ogogoro president has the temerity to come to yorubaland and create “Yoruba Muslim/Christian” divide-what do you call that -it is nothing but religious extremism-okay.
            3. Your drunken Ijaw president-Jonathan made his business man friend Ayo Oristejafor to use CAN as platform for his campaign-what do you call that? CAN belongs to all. But Ayo uses it as a platform for his friend-Goodluck Jonathan-it is shameful. Go and sit down -all the talk about Buhari is this , he is that have collapsed. Nobody listens to your lies anymore. In Indian Epistemology, a pride of place is given to the principle of Comparison as a redoubtable route to acquiring reliable knowledge…
Having said that, I dare say, if we are not dishonest, that the merits of PGEJ are not mere orchestration when brought to compare his style and near-self effacing demeanor with those of past leaderships prior to his emergence as president…
Although spatio-temporal limitations fail me to furnish you an elaborate analysis in this respect, suffice it to say that in GEJ, Nigeria is having a semblance of true democracy, although it remains a work in progress…
Political killings have ceased to be the order of the day as was in the past…
Flagrant disobedience of court orders are no more commonplace, as was in the past…
We have an empathetic president, who is sensitive to public opinion, who’s never averse to pulling the breaks at the behest of common sense and overwhelming popular wishes…
You now have your freedom of expression, so much so that no one hunts you down even where you wantonly and irresponsibly haul uncouth jibes at the president unlike in the past when the likes of AIT, CHANNELS, etc were shut down for offending the powers that be…
Nigerians, who had been so accustomed to the jack-boot policy, have never been so free, so much so that this free freedom is tending towards abuse…
Incomprehensible, some crave that this unfettering of Nigerians must cease, as the call to return to Egypt (the land of bondage, where there were still graves for the dead unlike in the wilderness) becomes the mantra of persons like you…
Nigerians are no more scandalized by tales of GMG bags with which the NASS was pocketed and left a tooth-less bulldog…
The serial unseating of NASS’ leadership and sitting governors by kangaroo means are no more the order of the day…
        This is a democracy…
The police have their powers, even the power of pre-emptive action, well cut out for them by law: they are obligated to maintain law and order in the civil space, part of which power includes the authority to apply force in order to restore law and order where break down of such is either intended, brewing, or have already been hatched..
However where the police is seen to have overreached itself, any victim of authority high-handedness reserves the right to apply for the enforcement of his fundamental rights in a competent court of law…
This window for redress does not exit in military rule, the sort Buhari took to the apogee of abuse…
I strongly believe that the police were acting within their orders and in nimble responsiveness to their remit, except you have proof that the NASS incident was at the bare behest of Aso Rock..
Regardless they could be mistaken in their action..
My argument is that the police never waits for Aso Rock orders before they, for example, hunt down crime suspects, and this couldn’t be different…
On the alleged varnishing of $20 billion alarm, as then raised by sacked CBN governor, Lamido Sanusi, I thought that the NASS had investigated the allegation and that the NASS Committee set up for that purpose, as ably led by an APC leader Dr. Bukola Saraki, had submitted its findings to the effect that the claim was essentially a bogus one, or just couldn’t be substantiated…
Please for an intelligent discourse, I oblige us to limit ourselves to facts and not vacuous speculations or trumped up gibberish…
Now, let’s compare GEJ with Buhari…
        We begin with:

By the time it was being disbanded by President Obasanjo in 1999, records show it had collected N181, 795, 000, 000 (One hundred and eighty one billion, seven hundred and ninety five
        million Naira).

True, PTF had other board members like Tayo Akpata who was the Secretary and Group Captain Usman Jibrin, a board
member who actually accused Buhari of corruption and who resigned in protest at the way Buhari ran the place.

In an interview with the Sunday Trust of 18thOctober 2009, Group Captain Jibrin explained why he
left thus: “What happened was that he (Buhari) followed the wrong procedure initially. He brought in the late Ahmad Salihijo without informing us. We just saw these boys in the meeting. We asked him, who
are these boys? He said that they were just helping him to take notes. We didn’t know that he engaged them as consultants without our knowledge and consent because we are all members. I told him that it was wrong. As trustees, if something went wrong, we were the people that would be prosecuted, not any other person.

Management Committee set up in 1999 to investigate the affairs of the organization and supported
        by three independent auditing firms.

Afri-Projects Consortium was given the exclusive power to initiate projects, assess their probable cost, approve the costs, execute the projects, and assess the quality of execution, all without oversight from anyone.

PDP’s PROFESSOR WALE OLADIPO AND THE POLITICS OF THE GUTTER

When a professor so-called resorts to such cheap and snooty jibes, then you know immediately his title is hiding something. Any learned and decent professor will be ashamed to leave the demanding and noble knowledge business for the hustler world of Nigerian party political bureaucracy. And, then, still wears the title of professor, as does Wale Oladipo — the PDP’s National Secretary.

So I wouldn’t be a trifle surprised if Oladipo isn’t one of these ‘failed professors’ who couldn’t stand the heat in the kitchen of Nigerian academia. Academic laurels are to such people means to cheap material ends, and they’d go to any length to demean themselves in the process.

So it is that Oladipo’s best professorial contribution to Nigerian party political competition and PDP’s effort to defeat APC’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, is false insult and name-calling. This is a tragedy of Shakespearian proportions, as Nigerian politics and democracy are the worse for it. Nothing can be more pathetic and disgraceful than to have a so-called professor reduce himself to a street-corner political thug.

No one should, therefore, be surprised if Oladipo has no respectable record of teaching, research, and publications whilst in academia. That there appears to be no major idea or publication credited to, or associated with, his name is perhaps indicative of how he came by his professorial title. Which may well partly explain why he called it quit for a hustling and more materially rewarding life in party politics.

That anyone, least of all a professor, should advance academic laurels as qualification and suitability for political office in a democracy shows how pitifully deficient Oladipo’s knowledge of democracy and political science is. Sadder still that neither Oladipo nor his political altar ego President Goodluck Jonathan seem like models of academic prowess.

Even with a PhD to his name, it’s common public knowledge that Jonathan (alias Dumbo Dumbo) is incurably incapable of stringing together two sensible, coherent and grammatically correct sentences in English consecutively. Now, this is the same educated PDP presidential candidate that the equally educated PDP National Secretary Oladipo, who can’t stand “semi-illiterates” in elective office, invites us all to vote for in the impending 2015 elections!

What a shame. What a joke. What a tragedy.

This statement alone has made so many Nigerian to loose interest in Jonathan , i hope PDP are not deliberately making this statement to give Buhari added advantage.
Buhari got all certificate a military man can get and he became the General, those certificate are equivalent to PHD.

    R-E-V-E-A-L-E-D!!!
Buhari Is the Most Academically Weak Nigerian Military Officer Of All Time.

Pa Muhammadu Buhari (72) is the only Nigerian senior military officer that failed all the Junior and senior examinations in the history of Nigerian Military.

If you check the official names of officers likes of IBB, Idiagbon, Diya, Danjuma, Akhigbe, Abdulsalami, Aikhomu. etc you see a suffix, FSS, Psc, MNi., Pa Muhammadu Buhari has none. He failed the Command and Staff College exams and all other Military examinations (Psc means Pass staff college).

Pa Buhari was a Minister for Petroleum (NNPC Commissioner) for years but still do not understand how the oil Industry operates. Last two weeks the former dictator, declared that “if he is elected Nigerian President in 2015, he will regulate world oil market”.
Ignorance they say is a disease. The global oil market and related price is determined by the Demand Supply forces.

    • progressive

You can imagine this useless pdp calling Buhari a semi literate. A phd holder what has he contribute to this country all they know is to loot our money

He failed all the junior and senior exams but yet he attained the rank of a General, you must be worsthan an illitrate when you fail in examination i dont think you can get promotion to the next class. mumu go school go read.

Buhari attained the rank of a General because of his Hausa/Fulani connection.

Tam David West and other intelligent men would disagree with your assessment of Buhari’s tenure as minister of petroleum.

Goodluck and Okonjo-Iweala have shown that it takes more than degrees to run a nation…if you had exposure you would have realized that

      • Etomi

        Why not…
Buhari made Tam David West his petroleum minister when he was military head of state….

  • Titi

We demand Jonathans PhD thesis, he has none! any publication? Msc Thesis? Knowledge is not defined by PhD, there are many 10yr old children that can perform better than Jonathan

  • Olusegun Olawonyi

The key issue is who is better qualified to get the job done? And quite frankly, I think Buhari might just be that person. I do not see anything to indicate to me that Jonathan would do anything differently from what he has done in the last six years. No need for name calling…let us see issues and policies define the coloration of political debates, not name calling, smear campaigns and character assassination. Regardless of the name calling, Buhari appears to be the better of the two candidates, and I plan to give him my vote, God willing.

    • Etomi

Buhari is better qualified…for you, right?
      What are his merits…

      • Olusegun Olawonyi

Thanks Etomi for asking, and for not resorting to insults like others. Here are a few reasons I would not vote for Jonathan again…

First of all, Buhari is a retired army general and would naturally command the respect and loyalty of the military – that it appears President Jonathan does not have. That is why his army is unprepared to fight and die for him. He does not have the loyalty of the troops, because like many Nigerians, the army sees him as too weak. He holes himself in Aso Rock and does nearly all state functions in there for fear. Soldiers respond well to charismatic and courageous leadership. He may have these qualities, but certainly the rest of us in Nigeria do not see President Jonathan exhibit them.

Secondly, Buhari is a strict disciplinarian and someone with a robust history of abhorring and fighting corruption. Our current president condone corruption. For no just cause he released Alams and others who were convicted for corruption charges. He gave them state pardon for selfish political and tribalistic reasons.

Thirdly, President Jonathan does not enjoy international respect and support from the west. And that means he can not do much internationally to advance the cause of this country. He is internationally crippled with the likes of USA, UK and recently, SA standing up against him.

Fourthly, the president is too petty, tribalistic and parochial. He responds to every “unsavory” comment with so much anger – it only shows he does not take criticisms well. You see that same tendency from his ubiquitous cyber/online warriors or paid bloggers. A good leader takes criticism well. He should not have responded to OBJ’s criticism the way he did. And having done that, why go back to seek the favor of OBJ again? That only shows the guy is naive or lacks a virile tactical and strategic mind. Can I go on?

Etomi: Send me your email and let me send you at least 21 reasons you should not vote for President Jonathan in the forth coming election. I once voted for him, but a few days ago, I decided reluctantly to align with Buhari this time around, and those 21 reasons did it for me.

        • Etomi

I’m not one that believe that you win an argument by desperate resort to hauling invectives on your interlocutor even when zero-point has been lodged…
Where I have had cause to take the descent, if you care to read my various submissions here, it was simply in reaction to insults first hauled from the other side…
But I must quickly add that those of us that hold die-hard pro-Jonathan views are by no means his “ubiquitous cyber/online warriors or paid bloggers,” any more than are the Buhari apologists here the “ubiquitous cyber/online warriors or paid bloggers” of their hero…
I must also add that I am a professional who feel the burning need to enter this politics of ideas because this chance is not inexhaustible…
By Feb. 14, 2015 all of this would be pointless…
I have been on this platform for hours on end and it has been at personal great cost…
I don’t often have such chance, but it’s worth it….
If there is wisdom in your saying that part of the reasons why Buhari comes across as going to make a better president is because he’s an army general, then I rather would solemnly prefer an IBB, Gen (Dr.) Yakubu Gowan, Theophilus Danguma, etc for being less crude in the exercise of power andfar more urban and cosmopolitanism, etc….
Thus, I fear you are subliminally suggesting a return to military rule or a sytem akin to it, as the military, according to your claim, would only be prepared to be led by one of their own…
Have you reasoned out the implications of this suggestion?
          PLEASE THINK IT THROUGH….
I fear that owing to the desperation of the moment, in view of the dire security challenges facing the country, as well as the floundering state of the national economy, etc, not a few hapless Nigerians seem to have been boxed to a point where they think that just about anything other than GEJ could be better as president…
          PLEASE UNDERSCORE THIS POINT….
Thus even the president’s valid academic attainments, and indeed his humanity, I fear, now seem to count as dispensable or nothing in view of his seeming failure to quickly resolve these challenges…
But I totally disagree with your submission that the fact that GEJ did not originate from the military, but the civil, ranks explains the ineffectuality of his hold on that institution….
It is clear that efforts by the military to address the country’s security situation was being sabotaged from within…the recent court martial of some military officers speaks volumes…
The army is made up of officers recruited from among Nigerian citizens…
Like other Nigerians, their primordial affiliations to ethnic origins, religion, geopolitical leanings, etc, is not tenuous but seem to attach heavily on their loyalty…
It is no news that many of the deserters of the Nigerian armed forces were from a particular part of the country that had strenuously postured against the emergence of GEJ in 2010/2011, and had promised to frustrate his government if he ever emerged…
As we speak, the spitters of threats of revolutionary, like Dr. Junaid Mohammed, Alh. Lawan Keita, etc, have not ceased but have even been more brazen with their threats of unseating GEJ by a revolution before or after May 29, 2015…
Some military officers from a certain part of the country are even noted to have joined forces with BH to levy war on GEJ’s government…
Make no mistake the BH attack, like all terrorists onslaught, are revolutionary in their objective…
The attack is on GEJ’s government, the aim being to overawe it and overthrow it…
The current state of affairs is by no means new…
In 1966, following the emergence of Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi, military officers from that part of the country did stage a coup to unseat the man…
In 1993, elements from that part of the country conspired to ensure that a non-northerner never emerged as president by annulling the election won by MKO Abiola…
It has thus been argued that if the country were still in a military era or was in the same political conditions as was the case in 1993, chances are that a coup could either have been staged to unseat GEJ or tharwt his emergence as president…
Unfortunately APC has been in cahoot with the aspiration of the the foregoing objectives and its prime harbingers…
The government of US President Barack Obama, which is even greatly despised by many Americans, has also shown great hostility towards the GEJ government. At best it’s only paid lip service to the country’s security and economic aspirations…
Recently it blacklisted the country in terms of its oil supplies, and refused to assist Nigeria in her war against terror until the government was forced to look the direction of Russia…
Pundits say for reasons including the fact that GEJ, against all US entreaties, enacted and passed the recent anti-homosexual law, which touched a raw nerve with Obama, the US government now seem to be leading a conspiracy with the UK, and opposition forces in the country to overawe the Jonathan government…
Obama’s closest sibling Malik, is even accused of being a major sponsor of terrorist activities in parts of the world…
The point is, if there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do nothing, which is why the crime of treachery, if I recall clearly, is a capital offense…
If ab initio the north had been temperate with its sense of entitlement and had rallied behind GEJ’s government in the true belief in one Nigeria, GEJ’s position, nay, Nigeria’s lot, would have been better off…
I can’t fail to overemphasize the point that the issues in contention in the battle over the soul of Nigeria, which is being vicariously fought out in the political contest for the presidency by GEJ and Buhari is not just about the economy….
On the contrary, it is on who, between the contestants, would better ensure that Nigeria remains a secular state; who would better ensure that Nigeria advanced its gains towards deepening democracy; who, between the contestants, would better ensure that Nigeria got closer to attaining true federalism…
These constitute the most essential issues the resolution of which the survival of Nigeria as one indivisible entity would depend…
The redemption of the country’s economy would also depend on a thorough-going resolution of these issues..
I strongly believe that GEJ remains the country’s best hope for deepening democracy, strengthening Nigeria’s secular aspirations, and restructuring and attaining true federalism….
On corruption, GEJ by far posts a better credential than Buhari….
Have you ever bothered investigating why Buhari and his fellow coup plotters struck on 31st December, 1983?
You would be shocked when the facts are brought home to you…
Corruption was at the heart of the coup d’etre, I must reveal…
The corruption of Buhari and not that of the politicians of the era, as Buhari’s spin-doctors have made us believe for years, led to the truncation of Nigeria evolving democracy in the 2nd republic!!!!
I would be obliged if could trace my various other postings here..

He has never shown any evidence of a PhD holder in his utterances and behaviour! He is indeed a disgrace to the academics and to the university that awarded him the PhD. There is an expected rigour of thought, analysis and projections expected of a genuine PhD, Jonathan has never demonstrated an iota of these. I think Nigerians are in a better position to determine who rules, not the ranting of a misguided nobody. Let us put it this way, we have tested the “cosmopolitan PhD holder” for six years, and the outcome is crass failure. On the other hand, we tested the “Semi-illiterate Jackboot” for one year and eight months, and he delivered what the “Cosmopolitan PhD” could not deliver in 6 years; now the “cosmopolitan PhD holder” wants another 4 years to fail appropriately. Let me say that the author of the statement is either rejoicing in his ignorance, overshadowed with greed or blinded by ethnic sentiments, all of which I think no right thinking Nigerian should wallow in, at this crucial time.

Let me put the record straight, I am southern of the southern, Christian of the Christian I am “cosmopolitan” in every respect, university educated; foreign and locally qualified professional, I practice my profession in two countries and I am not APC, PDP or anything; but I say with all sense of humility and responsibility, that I love the “Semi-illiterate jackboot” and he will use this “Jackboot” to stamp-out all forms of corruption, abolish “cleptocarcy” and entrench absolute rule of law, service to the people all done in with the fear of the Almighty God.

In concrete terms, what are the achievements of your messiah Buhari for the one year and eight months? Buhari ruled with iron fists, suspended the Nigerian constitution and operated with decree; he jailed critical voices to his administration and silenced the press with his Decree No. 4. It was during his regime that Nigerians went back to the stone-age trade by barter as a medium of exchange. The PTF is another lingering memory of his corrupt image.

      • objective

Hello Peter, Just a quick response. Let me put it this way, The foundation on which the economic prosperity of any nation is built is transparency; and it is sustained through national security. When these two are in place, all other national developmental structures subsequently put on them or around them, will no doubt stand. Buhari in his last tenor, put in place these two fundamental requirements, before his regime was truncated. These things regrettably are currently absent under Dr. Jonathan’s regime. No accountability as we can all see, also the Northern Nigeria is in turmoil, the wave of kidnapping and armed robbery in our country, is in its historic maximum.

Whatever is claimed to have been achieved (either in truth or false claims) in the absence of these two key requirements that I mentioned, will amount to building a house upon the sand; and we all know what will happen when the rain comes. As it is now,my brother it is raining heavily in our nation now.

          Buhari’s people created the insecurity…

          • Ojuolape AbdulAfeez

“Buhari’s people created the insecurity…” this is laughable. Does that means Buhari people are more powerful than PhD Holder president. Who controls, the Military, Police, DSSS and other security agencies? Bros, wake to the reality; who is benefiting from this current situation? Definitely not Buhari. If things remain as it is right now, 2015 is a done deal for GEJ.

Buhari speaks better English than your phd President. Whenever the man opens his mouth, he commits grammatical fatwa. His reasoning is at kindergarten level. In answer to Sanusi’s allegation of stolen billions of dollars, your president said so much dollars cannot be missing because the money is American money and if it was missing America will know. What kind of phd reasoning is that? Game over for GEJ! Chikena!

I was shocked to read a press statement from Wadata Plaza issued by a so called Professor Wale Oladipo, secretary of the PDP, saying that General Muhammadu Buhari is a semi illiterate jackboot. It is no wonder that our education system has fallen so low, else how can one explain a professor making such a statement? How did Wale Oladipo become a professor to start with? It is quite astonishing that he can say this. The professor doesn’t seem to understand the basic rudiments of learning and what it means for one to be literate or not.

Prof. Wale Oladipo, PDP National Secretary

Buhari attended the best military schools in the world. In case the professor doesn’t know, Buhari graduated as a military officer (Lieutenant) in Royal Military Academy, Aldeshot UK.

Anyone interested in verifying Buhari’s academic credentials can write the school instead of reading jargon from a deranged Wadata Plaza Professor of Politics of Destruction Party (PDP). I have checked Google Scholar hoping that Prof. Wale Oladipo’s name and publications will show up and nothing is showing up, that says a lot about him as a Professor than Buhari as a retired decorated General who served his country so well and has not claimed any scholarship.

The curriculum at the U.S. Army War College earns one a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies and that is what Buhari has. For somebody to claim that a graduate of such a prestigious school is semi-illiterate, means something is very wrong with that person’s brain. By all academic and military standards, Buhari’s education is superb and the best any general can get in the world. Therefore, for Wale Oladipo to claim Buhari is semi-illiterate speaks volumes about his understanding of what education is even all about. The unlearned professor thinks education is about earning paper degrees only, and even if it was the case, Buhari has them from the most respected military institutions in the world.

General Muhammadu Buhari has the kind of military strategic education and experience to deal a decisive blow on Boko Haram and end the insecurity challenges facing Nigeria. Buhari is the only army officer with the opportunity to command 3 out of 4 Nigeria’s army divisions as a GOC.

In 1983, when rebels from Chad took over our land, seizing more than 19 villages (much like what the Boko Haram is doing now), Major General Buhari led a successful operation as the GOC to push back the Chadian rebels and reclaim our territory.

In 1984, when the Maitatsine sect decided to declare war on Nigeria like what Boko Haram is doing now, Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari wasted no time in crushing them. Boko Haram is a descendant of the Maitatsine sect with the same extremist ideology and anti-western education philosophy. It is surely President Buhari that will be able to handle them: eliminating these terrorists when he comes to power like he did before. Muhammadu Buhari as a captain fought in the Congo Civil War and won the Congo Medal. He was there during our civil war to bring peace and keep Nigeria one. That is true patriot: a man that gave his life to another country not only his fatherland.

Since the goons in Wadata Plaza have started the literacy debate, it is very appropriate to ask them that they produce Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s Ph.D thesis and publications in renowned journals. Goodluck’s speeches, attitude, and interviews with international media don’t portray him as a Ph.D holder. His past interview with Christiane Amanpour was quite embarrassing; he couldn’t even make eye contact with her. Nigerians are eager to read his thesis and publications.

In conclusion, it is obvious to all Nigerians that the PDP government and its illiterate professor are only interested in playing dirty politics with the lives and properties of Nigerians. Nigerians now need Buhari, a man with international military education and experience, a seasoned administrator with zero tolerance for corruption to end this insecurity, bring prosperity, and place Nigeria at the seat it deserves in the comity of nations.

Dr. MK Hassan writes in from Washington D.C.

Yes, when Buhari was Head of State for 20 months, he didn’t steal N20,000 — unlike the Dumbo Dumbo crowd who robbed the country of US$20bn from the NNPC in one fell swoop alone within 19 months.

What is the revenue that has accrued to the PDP government in the last 15 years? What has accrued to the government within the period of the PHD man? Where has the money gone to? How come the growth experienced during the PHD man is lower than what was experienced during the days of non-PHDs? How come there is little development to point to despite the revenue that has accrued to the government? How come there is so much stealing, killings, oil theft, etc. during the regime of the PHD holder? How come the PHD holder has consistently been incurring debts for the country without anything to show for it? How come the PHD holder is the one either flouting or encouraging the flouting of the laws of the land? How come the PHD holder is the one that said stealing is different from corruption? How come the PHD holder is the one that does not give a damn about declaration of asset? How come the PHD holder is the one spending money that is not budgeted for? How come the PHD holder is the one that has been budgeting little amount of money for capital expenditure? How come the PHD holder is the one that has been budgeting for houses for politicians, mortuary equipment for State House, Mammography for State House as part of the paltry capital expenditure? History will solve all our arguments here. The only servant-leaders we had in Nigeria were not degree holders, and GEJ with his phony PhD has not achieved even 1% of what they did in less than the years he spent occupying that seat. Also, check the history of American Presidents, we will see that most of them have military backgrounds, because over there it is seen as a prestige to serve your country in the military as a veteran. That’s America, where we borrowed the model of our Democracy.

  • Masterstroke

There they go again, another charlatan mouthing off about superior intellect, yet completely empty. Both Buhari and Jonathan, and all those who precede Jonathan have/had no business running or aspiring to run Nigeria. Non of them has what it takes to take Nigeria to the next level….Nigeria needs leaders who have solid appreciation of how a modern world or economy should run – individuals with the vision and sophistication of Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia and Park Chung-hee of South Korea. What some of you pontificating idiots fail to realise is that Buhari had his time and did virtually nothing of significance with it. And, this was at the time the Asian Tiger economies were taking off and getting consolidated. I want somebody to list Buhari’s accomplishments when he was Head of State. Under PTF, he let Africonsult, comprised of blue blooded scions of the northern caliphate, run riot and cart away tons of money right under his nose. Where is the leadership there. Buhari isn’t going to do better now at 72 and with the world economy going complexly digital. Neither Buhari or Jonathan or similar charlatans clamouring to run Nigeria have a clue……this is in an era where scores of young Nigerian’s are blazing amazing trails all over the world

    • objective

George Bush Snr did not design the drone, neither did he built it. What he did was to create an enabling environment and that is what leadership is all about. Our leader needn’t be an astronaut. The question is can Buhari create an enabling environment to ensure that funds are allocated where they are required and that they are utilised as required? Can he ensure that corruption is curbed? Can he ensure acceptable level of national security? I think the answers are so many “yeses”. Governance is not rocket science.

      • Masterstroke

Please list Buhari’s accomplishments when he was military head of state….a popular Nigerian adage goes thus: “a right handed individual doesn’t begin to learn how to use the left hand at an old age”

  • Alfullati

Dear Masterstroke. You seem to be equating wisdom and vibrance with age.People of wisdom and intellect are found across all age strata and social classes. To most Nigerians, there are only two candidates;GEJ and GMB discounting the so called other smaller parties justling to be favored by either the PDP or the APC.But wait a minute, where were you when the PDP and APC put up their EOI and nomination forms on sale?

    • Uturu Mgbagbu

Where were you in 1984 when Nigerians were suffering under Bokohari?

      • tai28

The person that told you the history did a very poor job, Nigerian never suffered like this under any government, oil selling at $60/barrel but petrol costs N95 and above, state government are not able to pay salaries because of dwindling allocation from FG and so, on and so on

        • Victory

No body has control over the price of oil in the international market. Oil went below $60/barrel at some point during Babangida’s regime that led to structural adjustment programs. Please try to read before making contribution in this kind of platform

          • tai28

You lack understanding of simple English, did I blame anybody for oil price going down? My point is, with a government with human face, an incorruptible government, the pump price of petrol should go down since petrol is a product from crude oil.

          • Victory

You are mistaking the barrel of oil for litter of oil. Learn simple mathematics

          • tai28

Hahaha, in countries all over the world where they have sane leaders, petrol price goes down as price of crude oil goes down. The pesent reduction is tagged ‘christmas bonus’ in the US and SA because it happened close to christmas and people will spend alot less on fuel. My point has been why the samething is not happening in Nigeria. Just last week, Lagos State governor challenged FG to reduce pump price in accordance with fall in crude oil price. Possibly you are not aware petrol comes from crude oil, that is why you don’t know petrol price should go down when crude oil price goes down

      • Mr Wise

Uturu please can you give us details of the suffering Nigerians suffered around 1984

        • Uturu Mgbagbu

Broadcast to mark the end of Bokohari’s military government August 27, 1985.:
“The last twenty months have not witnessed any significant changes in the national economy. Contrary to expectations, we have so far been subjected to a steady deterioration in the general standard of living; and intolerable suffering by the ordinary Nigerians have risen higher, scarcity of commodities has increased, hospitals still remain mere consulting clinics, while educational institutions are on the brink of decay. Unemployment has stretched to critical dimensions.”

“Due to the stalemate, which arose in negotiation with the International Monetary Fund, the former government embarked on a series of counter-trade agreements. Under the counter-trade agreements, Nigerians were forced to buy goods and commodities at higher prices than obtained in the international market. The government intends to review the whole issue of counter-trade.”

“As we do not intend to lead a country where individuals are under the fear of expressing themselves, the Public Officers Protection Against False Accusation Decree 4 of 1984 is hereby repealed. And finally, those who have been in detention under this decree are hereby unconditionally released. The responsibility of the media to disseminate information shall be exercised without undue hindrance. In that process, those responsible are expected to be forthright and to have the nation’s interest as their primary consideration.”

  • Victory

Buhari should go on permanent retirement. President Goodluck Jonathan will win a second term in 2015 by defeating Buhari. President Jonathan will take 57 percent of the votes and Buhari will take 41 percent. This is just too many votes for the old, tired and outdated General. Anyway, he will get that many votes because he is teaming up with the most corrupt Nigerian alive – Tinubu, and because his people are using Boko Haram to cause terror and fear in the minds of our brothers and sisters in the North East

    • objective

Is that a rigging script? The current political equation of our country cannot produce that answer. You will realise that Jonathan won the last election through the South West and majority of Buhari’s votes always come from the north. The north is a massive voter of Buhari. Jonathan has lost Kwara in North central and the votes in Kogi, Benue, Adamawa, and other North Central States will be divided. Edo state is gone, River State is fully divided. The South West, North West and the North East are 100% on the same page. And Maurice Iwu is no longer the Electoral Commission Chairman. The man there now, is of proven integrity.

I also don’t think the North East will accept that they have been treated like brothers

      • Victory

Do not be deceived. President Jonathan will split the North East and North West with Buhari in the ratio of 40:60. As for South West, o boy forget… President Goodluck will take at least 65 percent. President Goodluck will take 65 percent in North Central and 98 percent in South East and South South.
Remember that opposition always make the loudest noise. Those who will vote Jonathan in the North are silent because they do not want Boko Haram wahala. Go and see for yourself

    • tai28

Don’t forget Jonathan teamed up wit the same most corrupt Nigerian alive in 2011, the game has changed, Jonathan should be preparing his handover note

      • Victory

President Jonathan had nothing to do with Tinubu. It is a rumour without substance

        • tai28

Jonathan only sent presidential jet to bring Tinubu to Abuja immediately talk between the then APC and CPC broke down in 2011?

          • Victory

Show us proof of this allegation

  • Victory

An innocent President is being persecuted by desperados like Tinubu who has two private Jets worth billions of Naira that he stole from taxpayers money in Lagos State and in the APC states that he controls. Now he also want to control the entire Nigerian government so he can double his private jets to 4 and get more oil blocks. Amaechi should start parking his load to go on exile. They will never succeed. Goodluck 2015 we hail!

And what of the US$20bn stolen by the Dumbo Dumbo crowd from the NNPC account alone? Abi na dia exclusive birthright to rob the country blind?

The country is still waiting for the report of the “forensic audit” Jonathan asked PriceCooperWaterhouse to undertake.

Mama Ngozi promised the report will be out by November 2014.

  • Kulie

So this is the issue based campaign we were promised. PDP said the February 14, 2015 election would be between “darkness and light; between a cosmopolitan highly focused PhD holder and a semi-literate jackboot.” Yet it glorifies Bill Gates, a school drop out but achiever. Time up for ‘book worm’ and his UNFOCUSED ‘Cosmo’ that brought nothing but darkness; empty CALABASH- -Ebele

  • Scatter

Yet, our renowned Professor Wale Oladipo, with all his big grammar, can’t even pronounce the word “holder” properly! Older is how he pronounced the word!!

Nor did it occur to him that much of Nigeria stays in darkness seven nights a week since Dumbo Dumbo assumed the presidency some five years ago.

So his boast that the 2015 elections should be fought over “darkness” versus “light” is to be welcomed.
