Buhari has nothing new to offer, except ‘tired ideas, provocative utterances’ – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has welcomed the emergence of former military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, as the presidential flagbearer of Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections.

This will be the fourth time General Buhari will be contesting in the presidential elections. On each of the three previous occasions, he failed to articulate a vision of the future that was acceptable to
Nigerians.

On each occasion, his brand of politics was rejected across Nigeria. Apart from changing to a dinner suit, Mr. Buhari has not changed the tired ideas and provocative utterances that Nigerians rejected in previous elections.

We hope that this time round, Mr. Buhari will conduct a campaign that is issue-based and devoid of ethno-religious sentiments.

We are convinced that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, remains the only truly national political party in Nigeria, a platform on which all Nigerians can pursue their legitimate aspirations.

We also believe that despite the distractions, President Goodluck Jonathan has a genuine record of accomplishments on which to run and deserves a second term.

President Jonathan’s re-election will guarantee unity and stability for Nigerians. His second term will also deliver prosperity to Nigerians.

Finally, in the words of our own president “The choice before Nigerians in the coming election is simple: A choice between going forward or going backwards; between the new ways and the old ways; between freedom and repression; between a record of visible achievements and beneficial reforms – and desperate power-seekers with empty promises.”

Hmmmm, somebody is nervous. Olisah, please tell Nebu not to leave anything behind o.

  • Thepeople

Is the new way corruption, corruption and corruption?. The stinking heap of corruption.

  • Screw-em

Motor park tout-Olisa, please hear the Indomitable LION…..”I have always served Nigeria to the best of my ability. I have always tried to give more to the nation than it has given me. This is the principle of service that has guided my public life. Thus, I am not a rich person. I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so. The fate of this nation is not up for sale”….with that said, now, compare the over 800 comments on the live APC coverage of the presidential primaries to 26 comments on the PDP coverage. It sure sends tremors!…..eh?

  • I Hate Sycophant Truly

Unity and stability, Metuh should tell that to his warped followers. Records had shown that PDP had disintegrate the nation than its met it in this dispensation and reign of GEJ. We need to go far to affirm my second statement from this forum.

  • brainy

We choose Gmb by whatever name u call him

  • Johnson Omale

Olisah, Nigerians are tired of your corrupt government. We have decided to vote for GMB so that he could bring back the lost glories of our dear country. The politics of deceit is being rejected this time after-all what matters to ordinary Nigerians is peace and good governance. I regretted standing in the hot sun to cast my vote for a person that told me lies that he did not have shoes while that was a big lie.

    • Uju

      You and who?
      Speak for yourself

  • Preco01

Metuh have you read or heard this?
President Jonathan “is lacking in broad vision, knowledge, confidence, understanding,
concentration, capacity, and sense of security, courage, moral and ethical
principles, character and passion to move the nation forward on a fast
    trajectory.” – OBJ

    • Kabiru Shehu

If OBJ is your reference point/Navigator, you are in deep Sh*t!

      • Sword of Damocles

for where? you dont think that the moniker “dumbo” is well earned? stay there dey wait for confirmation that when it concerns President “PHD”…NO ONE IS HOME! My friend he is a brute nothing more, nothing less, like quite a few politicians in Nigeria(have you forgotten Gov. “cockroach”?).Even his most ardent supporters must have been nodding their head in agreement upon reading Baba’s depiction of President “Transformation without declaration of Assets”(Aka , blackbelt master in the art of skelewu). nscheewww!!

        • Uju

Brig Gen Tunde Idiagbon was the man.
Buhari is long expired and smelling with bad odour

          • Nwokolo

Hmmm. So there was even a ‘Man’ in that Regime! Where is the ‘Man’ in this regime?

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Ouch, Nwokolo.

That was the “below the belt’ knockout punch!

          • GEJisaDISASTER

Did you try to seduce him?

  • Maria

“tired ideas”… what is that? This guy speaks like a lunaitic.

  •  мσνιc

The truth is that the worst of APC is far better than the Good of pdp!
We are tired of your party,we need Change!

  • Chris1408

So is GEJ. This is sad

  • WALE

Nigerians across the nation are tired of your govt, and we will show it in 2015.GMB will win your party by 70 to 30 percent in 2015.How i wish you are on ground to know how your candidate is hated every where

  • Maria

This lunatic belongs to kuje prison.

  • G5

Blah blah blah blah blah, just remind your candidate to turn up for the debate.

    • Realnigerian

you think he will show up?

    • tundemash

make he no debate Whizkid this time around !

  • Marquis di Gorgonzola

Ex-Coupist Buhari’s inability to name a running mate shows the kind of monumental confusion rocking that cocktail of contradictions called A-fee-C.
Don Tinubu’s religious brand of politics in the SW has backfired BIG TIME! The chairman position of the party ws zoned to the SS. This rules out potential VP materials like Adams Oshiomhole. The SW/SE are the only other options. A wise APC would get a credible Igbo candidate as this will spark some interest in the good people of the SE who veiw APC as a deadly expired drug!(ask Ngige). However, it is likely the APC ‘strongmen’ will want a SW candidate. Those in the SW who have the resources to galvanize support most are the serving governors. Problem is, don Tinubu’s religious brand of politics ensured all Muslim governors in the SW.(Fayemi is out of the equation). This is the dilemma Buhari and the APC face! Indeed Buhari ws well aware of this problem which might be the reason he tried to play down the possibility of a Muslim ticket.
Anyone who says religion is not a major factor in Naija presently must be living in LaLa-Land! Infact, the APC conundrum is so bad even an old aunt of mine said; ” Abi Buhari go run alone”????
    Hmm..wahala dey ooo!

    • charles

Moron…wat point hv u made now? must u let us c ur ethnic jingoist nature

    • tundemash

why cry more than the bereaved? Leave APC to manage their business !!!

  • The Revolutionary

    Neither PDP nor APC be…

If Nigerians know what’s good for them they’ll put on their thinking cap. Both PDP and APC are worse useless than
criminal dens of thieves. Nigeria has no chance of exiting definite regression to anarchic violence under either party.
Only a bloody revolution can save Nigeria. Thieves and victims can’t live together in peace inside the same house.

Political parties in Nigeria are criminal organizations stealing the country blind. The task is to bring the officials to justice.
After 16 years the criminals in both APC and PDP have nothing else to prove than the same massive stealing of funds.
There’s nobody in either political party reputed in society for honesty or knowledge – not one person in both parties!

  • Atuegwu

Abomination! Why is this leader of the Boko Mujaheddin wearing the red cap of titled Igbo chief?

  • Ha

PDP is shameless. They said APC is a Northern party, now it is Tinubu’s party. For failing several times, ask Abraham Lincoln. It is always better to fail than to rig. The failed man has more respect than the incumbent who rigged into his office. Can Jonathan make this statement: ” I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support”? In Kano Jonathan The Clueless, accused Kwankwaso of cornering the money he (Jona) gave him (Kwankwaso) to distribute to delegates during the 2011 primary elections. Unrealised to the empty-headed C-in-C that he shot himself in the head.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

NOPE !! Buhari has been a serial loser,he has a history of losing all attempts and to all opponents….not just GEJ!!

      • charles

Must you advertise ur emptiness…pls borrow a thinking cap

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

You can keep your Shekau-style cap with you, I do not need it !!

          • tundemash

sign of lunacy is creeping in.

        • Folahan

PDP’s fear of Buhari is the beginning of wisdom…. They better not plan to rig the elections ooohhhh.

      • tundemash

f00l ….. @Ha just quoted you Abaraham Lincoln whose history of losing is longer than that of Buhari and yet he conquered at the end of the day.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Apples and bananas must look the same in your deluded world !

        • Otile

Abubakar tudemash, Imam Buhari is no Abe Lincoln.

          • Folahan

So because someone supports a man that is known for his integrity, he will be automatically be labeled an Islamist. you guys are just plain silly and its getting very annoying.

          • Otile

Is Imam Buhari Abe Lincoln then?

    • Shehu Garba

Squeaky clean Buhari also ‘donated’ money to delegates in imo!
So my empty headed friend, your Hero also shot himself in…you know where..
      I dey laugh o!

      • Ha

When a person talks and laughs at what he said himself then nobody should worry about him because something must be wrong. All I can comprehend is for you to talk and allow others to either laugh or cry. For example, my Hero Buhari’s historic speech before and after the elections left all of us crying. And when Jonathan said “corruption is not stealing”, and that if $20 billion get lost “America will know because it is their money”, and that the number of private jets in a country is an indicator of good well-being, etc, many of us laughed at these kindergarten presidential talks. This is what we know Mr Shehu.

  • zacchaeus Akinleye

The PDP people are now jittery. Let’s see them run on their railway from Lagos to Kano and travel on their expressway from Lagos to Ibadan and run their generators for their transformational economy in their “magic” accomplishments that has left 170 million people dumbfounded.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

There is massive celebration in the PDP…..They never knew that the APC would once more try to impose Jihadi Buhari on peace loving Christians and non-Fulanis,this is projected to be a landslide even by the most modest estimates . BUHARI WILL BE DEFEATED !!!

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

There is massive celebration in the PDP…….They never knew that the APC would be daft enough to try and foist Jihadi Buhari on peace-loving Christians and non-Fulanis.This is projected to be a landslide victory for the PDP even by the most modest political pundits……….BUHARI WILL BE DEFEATED !!

      • GEJmustgo!

But you PDP told us earlier that Buhari will not win this primaries , now that he won you are saying he will not win general elections. Let me tell you that just the way God disgrace Jonas boys in PDP primaries- labaran maku, obanikoro, Aminu wali God will disgrace Jona in General elections. And the way God proved you liers in saying GMB will not win APC primaries you will be disgraced the same way in general elections!

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Whatever goes on in the Jihadist camp can only be their business. I wonder where your baseless information came from ?

          • tundemash

So how come you have been sleepless since last night ? How come you have been doing overtime for Reno? How come you and your household has been mourning since Buhari won the TRANSPARENT primaries ?

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The only thing transparent there was the names of the contestants…Tinubu their boss has a fake name but did not contest so we can give them credit for coming up with the real names of the contestants but that is where it ended. Atiku and Rochas were busy throwing around bribes with looted funds .

          • Shehu Garba

You are the one doing overtime here. Replying every comment hiding under fake names. Anyone who starts a comment with insults and abuses like ‘moron’ and other insults is definitely you or your fellow tout wahala.
A disgrace to civility and civilization.

      • zacchaeus Akinleye

Your welfare bank is about to liquidate, that is why you’re spewing this trash about the incoming president. Nigerians are tired of PDP’s kindergarten presidency and its merchant of vice business.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Buhari’s charade will end abruptly with his usual military style retreat to his ranch after another bout of public weeping .

          • tundemash

na your amnesty awoof you dey campaign for . This is the beginning of “na out turn to loot” mentality. Your religious and ethnic divisiveness has failed. Nigerians now know those who go to Chad to meet with Boko Haram. Nigerians now knows under whose watch territories were lost to terrorists. Nigerians now know under whose watch money was stolen from NNPC with no punished till date. Ogonis now know there is no difference between Abacha and GEJ! Yorubas now know they voted for a d@ft mor0n in 2011 and will never repeat that mistake. Hausa now know those who think Boko Haram killing them is justified for election purposes.

      • Nigerian

You are daft if you think this PDP can produce a President next year. You can not use religion to deceive us. Olisa. metuh is a tribalist and a religious bigot. We in North have rejected this do nothing party called PDP.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

I am so sure that all those northern Christians serially butchered and invaded by Buhari’s Fulani Islamic supremacists will beg to disagree…….just speak for your self little man !!

          • tundemash

Go home and watch the primaries all over again. Ethnicity and Religious divisiveness being used by unscrupulous people like you have been defeated !!!!!!

Your m0ron with Presidential power sat by the way side drinking ogogoro as usual while northern Christians, whom you now want to vote for him, are being butchered? So you want them to vote for a weakling who can do nothing to protect them for another 4 years ? YOU ARE D@FT !!!

        • John Tanimu

The core north always rejects a xtian candidate. The results of previous elections are there to see. This your so called rejection didn’t change anything in the past..the president is president of nigeria..NOT PRESIDENT OF THE NORTH ALONE!
          BIGOT

      • endingNaija

Asari Dokubo, Niger Delta (MUSLIM) said Nigerian blood will gush and flow on the streets if his candidate President Jonathan Niger Delta (Christian) is defeated democratically in 2015. Fellow Nigerians (fellow christians and muslims, and non-muslims and non-christians-ALL DETRABILSED NIgerians) let us pray and gird our loins and prepare peacefully for this. Let us use our vote peacefully to stop Asari Dokubo and his terrorist groups. Thanks.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

There is no such thing as a “detribalised Nigerian” Wake up, you sleeping little mind !!

          • endingNaija

So you have just confirmed (contrary to all your pretensions via your other online names oleku/otile/the truth na Reno Omokri) that Mr. Goodluck Jonathan IS AN IJAW PRESIDENT since there are no de-tribalised Nigerian. These are your words please. So do not take them back thru another of your online names!!! The Goodluck Jonathan campaign team is gradually unraveling and unmasking itself. Thanks a lot.

  • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

LET THE FIREWORKS BEGIN !! IT’S TIME TO REVEAL WHO THE REAL BUHARI IS AND WHAT HE HAS IN STORE FOR ALL CHRISTIANS AND NON-FULANIS !……………..It reads like a doomsday book !!

  • GEJmustgo!

Ahhahaba! Olisa you have to think of new lies, we are tied of your Oga and his policies of ethnicity, religious and tribal divisiveness!
Peace , security, job creation and tackling corruption is never on your agenda.

  • Wähala

“I have always served Nigerian to the best of my ability… I can’t give you a pocket full of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so. The fate of this nation is not up for sale” – Muhammadu Buhari… Congratulations!

According to Baba Iyabo, Buhari’s daughter is married to an Igbo man; his cook & driver are Igbos… so he’s no bigot. OBJ continues… Buhari is the only Nigerian who has served as President, Minister, Administrator… yet, has no house in Abuja or foreign bank accout anywhere in the world. Baba says as a leader some minions once complained to Buhari about Sunday being a work-free day and Buhari responded by saying the Bible asks Christians to rest on Sundays… then, challenged the complainant to show him where the Qa’ran asked Muslims to rest on any day… i.e, Buhari is no religious bigot.

Nigerians voted for Dumbo on sentiments in 2011 to make a statement the Turai cabal. Now with both candidates having a record Nigerians can refer to, the choice is easy. Olisa Metuh is a thug who lacks the common decorum of congratulating the APC fag bearer instead of this nervous watery press release from the obviously rattled PDP. My advise to Metuh et al… Dumbo should be put on “alcohol watch” as I’m certain he will drown himself in heartburning juice all weekend long. Hahaha chai!

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The real Buhari is a known quantity, nothing about him has changed since he was removed by a fellow dictator except the obvious degeneration of brain-cells due to age. The man is ever more prone to Islamic extremism, ethnic bigotry,Fulani born-to-rule policies and other retrogressive machinations like cross-border kidnappings,Execution of Yorubas in particular through back-dated decrees etc!
BUHARI IS NOT ELECTABLE,HE WILL BE DEFEATED !!

      • PureNigerian

Ok and your oga GEJ aware of this and he refuse to prosecute him.
Shame on you Mr. food is ready e-goat

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Do you hate food ? Are you fasting ? Are you on hunger strike?……answer me you deceiver !!!

          • tundemash

Why has your Dumbo not prosecuted Buhari ?

      • endingNaija

The last time I checked Asari Dokubo is already mobilising his terrorist group to realise his stated position that he will make sure that Nigeria is SOAKED in the blood of the innocents if President Jonathan is defeated democratically. Nigerians from the South/East/North/West, please let us be prepared to save our country from President Jonathan’s terrorist machine led by Asari Dokubo’s Niger Delta Volunteer Force and other terrorist groups President Jonathan and his team have armed and OILED before now.

        • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Leave innocent Asari out of your madness,he is just another private citizen struggling to survive the institutionalised oppression of his region for decades !

          • endingNaija

Concluson: So? Asari Dokubo Niger Delta -Muslim will spill the blood of innocent Nigerians on the street if President Jonathan Ijaw Christian is defeated in 2015 elections. We will continue to pray for peace and use our votes to prevent president Jonathan’s ground terrorists led by the likes of Asari Dokubo from spilling he blood of innocent Nigerians.

      • David

You have just 1 vote………Oliseh Metuh….thanks God you said the choice is ours….To summarize your long grammar…You are saying we must choose between TRUTH and LIES….We shall make that choice loud and clear on February 14th…2015. That is if’ and when’ that day ever comes.

    • Nwokolo

Wahala SEX sef no easy-oo (lol), God is about doing something in Nigeria. HE has been angered!

  • charles

Metu must be living in fools parasdise….he think Nigerians are fools they ve been taking for a ride..a shocker awaits them come February….this is a clown that have been advised to go and register at Lai Mohammed school of Public relations and media mgt..Metu is an embarrassment to Pdp….my foot!

  • me

At least Buhari gives a damn.

    • Alcindo Satori

Yes! He truly does give a damn — boko haram existence that is.

      • tundemash

clearly that story has failed, look for another !

  • Igweee!!!

Metuh, I guess this is meant to save you the humiliation of congratulating APC for an incredibly democratic exemplar which every right-thinking Nigerian is proud of, including non-APC members like my humble self.

Metuh, sorry, Nigerians know better now.

Except the narrow-minded fellows that are controlled by their ethno-religious sentiments, I don’t know many right-thinking Nigerians that still have any regard for your words or the words of your candidate and party.

All things have an end. Ecclesiastes also says that there is a time and a season for everything on earth. The time of your lies, deceit and ethno-religious hoodwink have just expired. But of course, I don’t expect you to know that. The reality will just hit you like a thunder bolt.

  • PureNigerian

Olofofo mentu, what has your party offered since 1999?

  • zacchaeus Akinleye

Let the campaign fireworks begin. An under-performing government like the PDP will account for Nigeria’s sixteen wasted years under its watch. The electorate are not fools.

  • Bbb

Olisah Metu has started again with his comment, everybody witness a free and fair Primary election that brought GMB compare to coronation in Abuja.

we all can see, let olisah metu begin packing his load and his master load from Aso rock to otuoke cos the General is coming.

  • endingNaija

And So Olisa Metuh, President Jonathan has many things to offer (i) Acute Corruption and looting of govt resources ( eg. Madam Oil Alison Madueke)which has gone digital because of President Jonathan’s “young” and ‘Modern”, age (ii) division of Nigeria into North/South , Christian/Muslim e.g. the creation of the inept and diseased divide called “Yoruba Christian/Muslim” by President Jonathan’s campaigners, (iii) impunity in legislature and and executive branches eg. the invasion of the National Assembly by President Jonathan’s police and the importation of THREE THUGS by the PDP into the Ekiti state house of assembly to “vote” and pass “law”, under President Jonathan’s watch and party PDP THUGS who are NOT members of the legislature are IMPORTED to “pass” “laws”- Mr. Olisa Metuh, these are some of the things President Jonathan has to offer. We keep our fingers crossed , waiting to vote on these “achievements” in 2015.

  • Prof Udeme Nsikan Ibok

    Keep blocking the comments…

    • Otile

You are not Yoruba. Do you think you can write anything you like and have it published? Once they sense you are Yoruba you can curse out anybody including the editor himself and still get published. Censorship, comrade, censorship.

      • endingNaija

But otile, you are not “Yoruba” too. Not only is it that you are not “Yoruba”, you are an online campaigner of President Jonathan. Yet your post has been published. Dont you think that is a contradiction? I am sure Otile na Prof Udeme Nsikan Ibok na Tawanda na the “truth” na Oleku na na Mani_kay of old na mpitikwelu of old, na Deacon na Reno Omokri!!!

  • Nigerian

You , PDP what have you offered us beside insecurity, impunity, corruption and. Poverty?

  • Chinonye Inekes

For sure Buhari is NOT electable!

    • Tunsj

      Keep on dreaming my friend.

    • tundemash

Go and prepare your Dumbo for a debate. No debating Dbanj is allowed this time around.

      • Peter

A debate? Then that will spell Imam Buhari’s electoral doom ab initio. Have you seen his profile. Buhari has no formal education except his janjaweed training in Kaduna, UK, India and USA: Political Career is nil; Electoral failures: 2003, 2007 and 2011; Electoral Successes: Nil. I therefore wonder what qualifies him to the highest political position of the land. His fluency in English Language is wobbly and above all, he is not exposed and therefore lacks the knack to handle the intricate job of modern day political leadership. His only credential of former head of state is understandable:one hoisted on him by the military. In fact he does not fit in any longer.

        • tundemash

dummy .. tell us what formal education Jesus Christ and Mohamed had and yet their leadership qualities aren’t in doubt.

And yet your Port harcourt Degree (PhD) Dumbo claims corruption is mere stealing. Claims if $20bn is missing American will know just because it is an american currency; claims Nigeria is not broke just because some people are buying private jets . If that is the kind of warped thinking formal education gives, then it is not worth it.

Former President . Attah Mills of Ghana failed in attempt to be President 3 times! Abaraham Lincoln failed severally too.

Prof . Wole Soyinka was quoted as saying :

Only 4 sets of people can vote for the PDP:

          (1) those who are intellectually blind.
          (2) those who are blinded by ethnicity
          (3) those who are blinded by corruption and therefore afraid of the unknown, should power change hands; and finally
          (4) those who are suffering from a combination of the above terminal sicknesses” ,

          You know your group !

  • lala

Olisa you dey try sha, kai. You have the hardest job of defending a puppet. I really feel for you but hey, you gat to secure your salary sha. No worry people will understand cause your situation no easy at all. I can’t imagine how you dey fear everytime you are called to write up some bul just to cover up what is a very blatant mess

  • Oleku

Well said Metuh, Jihadist Buhari is a serial loser and history will repeat itself one more time, watch out for crocodile tears and Islamic extremists of the janjaweeds riots next year–we the SE&SS hope to see the end of naija afterwards-nonsense

  • Gideon Orkar

Did Buhari think of wearing an Ibo outfit when he sent Alex Ekweme to Kirikiri and left the number one man, Shagari , under house arrest? Pointless dressing this ethnic bigot in borrowed robes.

  • tundemash

Typical of the agbero Oloshi Metuh of Peoples UNdemocratic Party.

My advice , start coaching Dumbo on how to speak and debate in public. We would not accept him debating Dbanj, instead of his co-contestants, as he did in 2011.

    • Abdul Zuberu

My advice, start polishing papa Buhari’s English..cos he won’t be allowed to debate in Hausa!

      • tundemash

Cl0wn …. ask your parents what language he used in the debate in 2011 if you were to young then.

your name says it all …. zuberu indeed !

  • Tunsj

Mr. Metuh, hearing your name and that of your boss, GEJ, makes me regurgitate. So you are telling us that eradicating or reducing corruption and having good leadership are tired ideas. It seems to me that your party is scared of Buhari. Your party has been in power for six years and things are getting worst. Your boss wants to be in power for ten years, thinking that we Nigerians are fools. You should be ashamed of yourself.

    • Chris1408

Thx jare, the drunkard has served two terms

      • Tunsj

You are right as usual about the drunkard.

    • tundemash

No Tunsj ….. PDP has been in power for 16yrs.
Only a lunatic would not desire a CHANGE !

Prof . Wole Soyinka was quoted as saying :

Only 4 sets of people can vote for the PDP:

      (1) those who are intellectually blind.
      (2) those who are blinded by ethnicity

      (4) those who are suffering from a combination of the above terminal sicknesses” ,

I leave you to guess where agbero oloshi Metuh belongs .

      • Tunsj

I totally agree with you and thanks for your correction. Are these people blind to see that things are getting worst and millions of people are suffering? This guy named Metuh makes me sick.

Although i dont know who i will vote for, i know who i am not voting and that is GEJ. As far as im concerned this last 6 years have been chaotic. Impunity upon impunity, no official even pretends to respect rule of law, corruption is no longer corruption, boko haram and terrorism has flourished, our debt profile has worsened (including d borrowing we dont know of), and infact the real economy (the informal economy) of the everyday man has worsened with no real improvements. No, i just can bring myself to vote him. I wont wish GEJ on my worse enemy. As for Buhari i am still observing, APC and PDP are not the only party with presidential candidates.

  • Jon Rhoma

The choice here is who you believe is the lesser of two evils. Both of them have ruled us. However those who are not old enough to experience the Buhari regime may not understand the purport of this article. For me it is a clear choice between tolerance and repression. Thank God for democracy.

    • tundemash

It is a choice between continued hopelessness of the last 16 yrs, corruption (a.k.a mere stealing), mis-appropriation, insecurity, religious and ethnic divisiveness And a total departure from those vices .

    • Naija

Ppl know d truth already.Gej has turn all d security apparatus to his personal property.whats d different btw him and military. We will use our card to vote for right ppl and chased wrong ppl away come 2015.

  • tundemash

Oloshi Metuh …. since you missed the people’s General’s speech while getting drunk at Aso Rock, i have reproduced it below and please remind your candidate to turn up for the Presidential debate this time around.

“Personal ambition does not drive me in this regard. I seek to be the next President of our beloved nation because I believe I have something to offer Nigeria at this time of multiple crises. Insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. Time is past due that we work together to lift Nigeria. I am ready to lead Nigeria to its rightful future.

“I have always served Nigeria to the best of my ability. I have always tried to give more to the nation than it has given me. This is the principle of service that has guided my public life. Thus, I am not a rich person. I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so. The fate of this nation is not up for sale. What I will give you and this nation is all of my strength, commitment, sweat and toil in the service of the people. What I can give you is my all.

“I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help. I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behaviour and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity.

“Through a long career trying to build a better country for my fellow Nigerians in offices both high and low I have always tried to place my country before myself.

“While some who have occupied those same positions have grown mysteriously rich, I still live on my army pension. I own no foreign bank accounts, I own no companies profiting from government contracts.

“Why then do I seek office, if not for myself? While others might prefer to stay at home watching their grandchildren grow and leave the battle to others, I still see injustices that need to be righted and I still dream of a New Nigeria.

“I am what you see before you – a simple man who believes in serving both God and his country. A man who is impatient for change, who loves Nigeria and seeks to serve it once again.

“Nigeria is our home. Let us now turn it into the great nation we know it can and should be. I thank you all.”

    • Otile

Abubakar tundemash, kil’o se? You constantly curse people out for copying and pasting, Here you are doing it in a big way. This is what I hate about APC: do as I say not as I do.

    • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Respect your self and stop that nonsense about “peoples General” !
Buhari is just a Fulani soldier who was promoted rapidly because of fraudulent quota system.Only in a phoney army can one be a General in his early thirties !!
I will always bring you back to reality ….dullard !

      • nas

While not tell us what your real problem with Buhari is ? And also let us know what makes u queue behind GEJ.

        • Rose Ankeny

Only emptiness with a dose of dullness can make any human queue behind the clueless one

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Sis, you are sharp!

I would hate to be on the other side of your arguments!!

Olodo … is their anyone who has questioned the Port harcourt Degree (PhD) of your Cl0wn master.

Ask your parents who Mohammadu Buhari is . Below are excerpts from Nigerians who had crossed the people’s General’s path (cr. @Nwokolo) ….. see what Dumbo even said too .

WHAT SOME NIGERIANS SAY ABOUT BUHARI

“The army after toppling our democratic regime have no option but to install Buhari as head of state so as to avoid credibility problems, especially in the sight of the international community because of his being an epitome of integrity.”
        – SHAGARI.

“There are only 2 honest & reliable Nigerians. Myself & Buhari. All what PDP is saying of Buhari being fundamentalist is mere hot lies. They just fear, let‘s go to jail “
        – OBJ

General Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the Supreme Military Council and as Head of NNPC was by nature taciturn and introvert. But he took any work that was given to him very seriously. He is reliable as he is hardworking and honest, his path of moral probity and rectitude” Incorruptible
        – President Olusegun Obasango , in his book, “Not My Will”.

“Buhari was a big brother & a father to some extent that mean nothing in life & to the nation always other than good. So, I fear no harm from him.“
        – LATE YAR‘ADUA.

“Buhari was honest & sincere in all his conduct that perhaps, only very few Nigerians could match in integrity.“
        –GEN. ABDUSSALAM

“Gen. Muhammadu Buhari was a true patriot, respected former head of state & elder statesman & a nationalist.“
        -PRESIDENT JONATHAN.

“I have realized our collective mistake in over-throwing you. I have seen the terrible damage which our inaction caused to the Nigerian psyche. I am most sorry. Please, come and do what is best known about you. Patriotic service to the nation.“
        –LATE ABACHA (PTF inaugural speech).

“If Buhari quit PTF job as he promises & as we knew him to mean his words, all along, I support the idea of scrapping PTF as no one else can do the job as him.“ –IBB

I respect Buhari. He was my Boss.He was an honorable man. And I can say this anywhere”.
        -General Ibrahim Babangida.

“As a member PDP BOT, I decided personally to donate the #5,000,000 to Buhari‘s campaign organization because of my firm believe in his ability to right all the nation wrongs-
        ALH. ISIYAKU IBRAHIM.

“Buhari is as clean as the book I am holding”
        – Alhaji Isiaku Ibrahim, a Member of PDP Board of Trustees @ a Book launch in Kaduna

“The issue of Gen. The Buhari‘s presidency was always being derided by the criminals who looted the nation to stupor by embarking upon a campaign of calumny so as to smear his name with a view to denying Nigerians having a leader who can improve their lots.“
        –PROF. DAVID WEST.

“If the truth must be said, Buhari remains the only real threat to PDP wether he runs for the presidency or not due to his massive and wider followership among the masses which has suddenly hit the elite circle.“
        -SEN. MAKARFI (recently)

    • Preco01

Great mind, mai Gaskiya, by the Grace of God, will govern Nigeria with the help of all well meaning Nigerians

      • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Singing praises for an evidently failed tin-pot Hitler of the past.Nigerians will never subject themselves to repression again. BUHARI IS A LOSER !!

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

          Tawanda,

I just realised one peculiarity about your posts – you have never praised GEJ, but have always been vociferous in castigating all his perceived “opponents”!

Care to share the reason why?

      • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

        Amen.

    • Danny

O boy you dey do overtime
      Welldone.hired e-zombie!
      Chai!

      • Rose Ankeny

I know you hate the truth but it will still hunt you down

      • tundemash

That overtime is my contribution to rid Nigeria of lno-gooders like you and their master looters

  • Jon Rhoma

Violent revolution is not the answer. Those leaders you referred to have not made their countries better. In spite of the confusion we are forging ahead albeit slowly. Rome was not built in a day. Please don’t try to drag us back with your revolutionary ideas as once started the end becomes unpredictable. It is better to dine with the devil we know.

    • Sword of Damocles

“Rome was not built in a day”

Yeah, but it did burn while lunatic Emperor Nero fiddled (ring a bell?hint :Otuoke). And where is the empirical evidence that “we are forging ahead albeit slowly”. Devil?, you mean lucifer-incarnate dont you? I will say it S-L-O-W-L-Y so that people like you can understand, That man and THOUSANDS from his party will have to account for their stewardship of Nigeria from 1999 until present. There will be no revolutionary anything(because we want make sure sey, if them run, oyinbo go send their no good yansh “back to sender” to answer to crimes against their Fatherland). no death penalty, no lawlessness/jungle justice, strictly by the Rule of Law(Equal Justice before the Law) we will send them all to prison, and this ACTION will demonstrate the GREATNESS of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the whole world. Power to the long suffering masses!

      • Jon Rhoma

What more can I say. Your name says it all “sword of Damocles”. Who will argue with a man with a name like that. Go on and start arresting them and will see where and how you can keep all of them. All I can advise is to ask you to go out of the country for just 6 months and tell me if you don’t feel home sick. It is only then you will know that monkey no fine but e mama dey like am. Go on destroy the country and tell me where you will run to.

        • Sword of Damocles

From what you have said about my nom de guerre I can tell you dont know much of philosophy and mythology(all is not as it appears). . I have been out of the country since 1982, is that long enough for you?(it is my homesickness that guides my Nigerian worldview). Monkey dey plenty fine to me, i no need for e mama to like am make i know. You somberly believe that putting the people that brought Nigeria to her knees will “destroy the country”? Safe to conclude that you are disciple of cluelessness and ineptitude.

          • Preco01

I think you are correct on this and the earlier submission that Jail time awaits many, soon, very soon

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted !!

          • Sword of Damocles

philosopher king? that requires a mind. never mind.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

            Respects!

  • Ijeuwa

You also believe that Jonathan is a Mandela, a Martin Luther King, an Obama, etc, etc. It’s just the way children believe in Santa Claus!

This slambag of Olisa Mumu doesn’t know that Buhari served as head of state for only 20 months and the POSITIVE impact is till being felt in the polity 30 yrs on. By 2019 he’d still not have served as much time as the present Jumbo dumbo. In a free and fair election, Buhari will beat Jonathan the way he beat Atiku, there billions of looted funds notwithstanding.

That’s all we ask for: FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS!!!

  • olu

The man , Buhari, at least is not a thief.

    • Oro Sunnunkun

Thank you o my bro. He is not corrupt like his master and associates.

  • Oro Sunnunkun

Olisa nonsense.. go and sit down. Na only your paymaster get something new to offer? Very soon, we shall see who is bereft of ideas.

    • SenatorD

Ideas PDP have consistently failed to prove for 16 years and counting… do they need 100 years to change Nigeria. China within 30 years became a Super power. PDP have had 57% of that number of years…

  • Spoken word

PDP what does Jona have to offer Nigeria apart from continuous failure.your scare tactics will not work this time.we cannot continue on this path of no hope.

  • Ernestez

I am still surprised the way most Nigerians reason. The same people you waste your energy writing about still wine and dine together as members of the federal executive council. They indirectly run the affairs of this nation. Make their money from govt while we get busy with writing and criticising. As far as i am concerned the old men should start forgetting about running the affairs of this country. Let all these beasts stop running around and looking for ways to run the affairs of this country. When they had the opportunity they didnt do any better so let them retire. We have better people that can run this country but we refused to look beyond what we see.

    • SenatorD

Agreed but PDP is a clique of thieves, cultists, and illiterates who mask their ignorance by hiring educated people who do not really matter in terms of decision making. So, we need another platform to see if we can get to the point where integrity will once again rule in the affairs of Nigeria….

    • Wizard

While you are entitled to your opinion, yet I will put it to you that the subject of the discussion, GMB does not qualify to be one of the ‘beasts’ you are refering to. When he had the opportunity, we knew that he really did something great for this country. Perhaps, you were still young to know that. GMB is the man to beat in 2015.

  • Usman

Clueless, the tired ideas are still better than the myopic, undemocratic, childish, pre colonial, divisive, unpatriotic and clueless ideas of your master

    • SenatorD

Olisah Metuh is just gasping for air amidst fresh air promised by PDP in 2011… the thug and irresponsible father is telling us how desperate PDP has become…

  • Peter

Buhari is too old, archaic and no longer modern. This type of man will only bring us setbacks rather than progress. His only strength is in his Muslim Brotherhood and sharia. He will receive the worst beating at the polls come February 2015.

    • Ifeoma

These are the kinda people with ver shallow brains…..

    • Iyabo

Honestly, u took the words out of my mouth….he was already given the opportunity to rule and he practically did absolutely nothing…..Buhari will ruin us(especially the Igbos)

      • Nigerian

Igbos, you have no political future in Nigeria.

        • pheliciti

Funny enough, the Igbo have a political future with APC giving the good showing of Okorocha in a race supposedly zoned to the North. Now compare with PDP where the Igbo could not even contest for nomination

      • HAMZA

EVEN AFTER GIVING OUT HIS DAUGHTER IN MARRIEGE TO YOU! YOU DONT SEEM TO HAVE SHAME!!!

      • tundemash

PLEASE PRESIDENT JONATHAN HAS ADVISED FOR ISSUE-BASED ARGUEMENTS TOWARDS 2015. FOLLOW THAT IF YOU ARE REALLY TRUTHFUL!!!

Your write-up is very sad and painful, but not because it is false but bcus it is true. We are the greatest progress-haters in the world

      • Nwokolo

My brother it is only the grace of God that can make a man to be so talked about by different generations in this manner. Buhari is not a saint and none of us are but he is a good man. Everyone that had opportunity of getting close to him sees a different man from what we have been fed with and sees a great spirit in him. Even the health and strength he exhibits at his age is phenomenal.

  • Omoagunmate

Hahahaha, una no go kill me with laughter o!

  • Bassey Eniang

The President has directed that 2015 elections be “issue based”. I charge all concerned including Mr Metuh and the PDP to follow that thread. You can express in private your views and opinion but when it comes to the social media and the press, then “discretion is the better part of valor”! Who ever will win in 2015 elections must first win the soul, confidence and trust of Nigerians, many of whom feel that the current experience of politics in Nigeria since 1999 has not impacted their lives in the way that it ought to, given the resources at our disposal. People are concerned about issues like the national, personal economies, corruption, insecurity, employment, cash in their pocket for them and their future… their children. These ought to be the target audience for politicians. In 2011, l supported the politicians because l wanted justice to be done. In 2015, l will be 63 and will vote for my future.. my children. What I and l believe many like me want to hear is what and which politicians will facilitate my desire for my future!

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

      Many thanks, Sir.

Nigerians need to hear the undiluted truth as you just enumerated above.

Our future, and that of our children, is far more important than their selfish interests.

A tired idea is better than no idea at all. PDP is dead now. If you doubt it count the states deeply involve in crisis as result handpick selection started by Jonathan. Katsina, Kebbi, Plateau, Sokoto, Kano, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Yobe, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Rivers, Abia, Imo, Zamfara and Edo state. How can a party win electiom with such crisis.PDP is dead for good.

  • sammyctu ode

General Buhari’s daughter is married to a Christian man from Anambra, he was the only Head of State that has no house in Abuja, he was the only Head of State that is clean and never stole Nigerian money, he was the only Head of State that gave Christian soldiers work free day on Sunday, when the Moslem soldiers demanded the same, he told them that they should show him where the Koran state that they should have off on Friday. At his age, he is coming to rule with the fear of God, not to steal money, put Nigerian economy right, give people especially the youths jobs, put professionals to drive his policies, stamp out corruption by jailing all the drug barons in pdp and give Nigerians a sense of belongings again. BUHARI – THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA COME FEBRUARY 2015.

    • Titi

My broda this people are lunatics they can not understand your gramma, but thank God they are becoming a very small minority, they can no longer stop us from the change we have been praying for

    • Nice Man

Yes of cos you are right Mr Sammyctu Ode, Buhari is goin to be in Aso rock by 2015

    • joe

Those CVs cannot change or revitalize Nigeria of our dream. The change we need is not from APC or PDP, afterall who are the people in both political parties?. These are guys that have been ruling this country even before some of us were born. The change is not in changing the names of their political parties, and this change CAN NEVER come from any of the political parties if it should be a positive change we desire. Those politicians that doled out billions of naira for Buhari you think they are fools?. Be smart, you will be disappointed if Buahri’s government became the worst in Nigeria. The sponsors of APC will make sure they control the executives, NASS and even judiciary. You have not seen anything yet. What am I saying?; the future of Nigeria lies squarely in our hands. The youth must comeout and say no to these old politicians that are being recycled. Do not expect too much from politicians my friend. They are selfish.

      • Island man

@Joe, what exactly is your opinion? For PDP to stay or APC to rule, we want to work with options we have for now……………………

        • Maria

Dont mind him… I was talking to someone the other day, she said all politicians are thieves. I asked, including Buari? She kept quiet. Then she said, you know what, I have a problem with Buari because he is not a christian…after some talking… then she said she has more problems at hand now to face than issue of politics. I concluded by telling her that the majority of problems she is talking about result from politics and I am afraid your children and children’s children may continue to face the same or worse problems if you dont take decisive steps on how you are governed. People like this are everywhere… but when they see they cant win an argument against Buari, they talk like this. I know them very well.

      • 247don007

You have spoken well. It is only unfortunate that most people here won’t get you because they are blinded to the truth. I completely agree with your viewpoint. The change we want is a ‘NEW ERA’ and not living in the mold of these politicians.

  • John

There’s too much stress in Aso Rock right now. Those asking for old Buhari to enter Aso Rock come 2015 only want him to die before his time. Young Kwakwanso would have been better.

    • Night Crawler

All APC presidential candidate are better than GEJ. Even the least Sam Nda has good plans for Nigeria unlike gej who wants to destroy Nigeria and Nigerians

    • tundemash

Thanks for your advice. APC has made the choice and it was made TRANSPARENTLY! Buhari himself told you he was ready to make the sacrifices and what time is right to die for a 71yrs old man ?
If Kwankaso had been chosen, you or someone else would have had one issue or the other. Use your one vote as you like.

  • Abdulkarim Santuraki

if Lisa spoke for PDP, he probably is speaking the fighting breath of someone passing through his death wish, but if he spoke for himself I am afraid he must be acting under certain intoxicant influence. Either way he needs deliverance.

    • Night Crawler

Well said… PDP days are numbered

    • abuasmau

No need to be abusive. Just make your point sir. Olisa’s comments are rather divisive. Gen Buhari’s acceptance speech will surely outlive his years as president should he win the elections.

  • TRUTH MASTER

Olisa Metuh will surely rue the day he made this statement!

    • abuasmau

The acceptance speech by Gen Buhari is pointer of the change. It is incisive and no name calling.

  • Night Crawler

The fear of PDP is the beginning of new Nigeria, Buhari will swept all polls come 2015 general election.

    • Udom

“Buhari will swept all polls” Hmm. English harroo (hardooo)!

  • Titi

Useless leaders of a myopic society, U hide behind sentiments to conceal your evil deeds from the myopic lunatics. U are yet to tell us who is sponsoring the economic recession, is it Buhari or Tinubu this time around? God willing U will not be able to run away like Umaru Dikku and U and your lunatic President will rot in prison

    • joe

Titi, we can make comments without insulting or name calling. Jonathan may have performed, but not to the expectation of Nigerians. If APC makes a wise choice for Buhari’s running mate, then APC may make aso rock. Buhari need someone who is materially incorruptible like him, and also energetic since he is getting weaker. Age is not on his side.

      • Don

What we need is a good head and not a good VP, once the head is good, others will follow. That is what we have suffered in the past 6 years, that has brought us to this level of reproach as a country.

      • pheliciti

Just as Metuh and the PDP can debate issues without insulting people. They start the dirty campaigns forgetting that the people also have a right of response.

      • NIYI

Joe sorry to dissapoint you but it will be easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for you to find someone who is materially incorruptible in the APC and even nigeria at large. continue dreaming. By the way 80 percent of the APC is made up of opportunistic decampees from the PDP. Many of them are governors who after 8 years have nothing to show in the states they governed so go figure. They might change party but their character will not change.

    • Nice Man

yes of cos TiTi I agree with you, let them tell us where about this, OBJ left $47b in foreign
reserves, $20b in excess crude account and zero debt when he left in 2007.
Yar’Adua grew the foreign reserves to $53b by December 2009. Your thieving GEJ
after more than 5 years of earnings at high oil prices, is now owing $10b, has
almost zeroed the excess crude account and depleted foreign reserves to less

Jonathan has no idea at all, is old idea not better than no idea? Moreso, Buari is going to surround himself with credible people with integrity and 21st century skills to run this country. Mr Jonathan is the worst thing to happen to Nigeria. We can all see the difference between APC and PDP from their conventions. Those who organised the APC convention are people with 21st century ideas… judging the PDP convention, it is those with archaic and rotten ideas like this lunatic called Metu and okukpe… a man with no idea… Jonathan and his 2015 ambition is doomed already. Nigerians gave him the chance for 6 years, he blew it.

In reality it is Jonathan and Jonathanians who have nothing new to offer the nation after six years of misrule, impunity, and corruption personified in governance. Nigeria needs a change in 2015.

Someone in this forum is suggesting a debate between Buhari and Jonathan. If this is granted, then that will spell Imam Buhari’s electoral failure even before February 14, 2015: See Buhari’s profile below:

Education: No formal education except his
janjaweed training in Kaduna, UK, India and USA:
    Political Career:
    nil;
    Electoral failures: 2003, 2007 and 2011;
    Electoral Successes: Nil.

Communication skill: not fluent in English Language always wobbling in speech (with strong Arab accent)
Support Base: Core North, parts of North Central, parts of South West( (probably banking on Lagos and Ekiti because of Tinubu and Aregbesola), Rivers (banking on Amaechi here), Edo (relying on Oyegun and Oshiomole) and Imo (banking on Okorocha).

Except for the North West and North Central and probably some negligible parts of South West, no sane southerner will vote for Buhari in South East and South South states because of his fundamentalist posture as long as APC’s ambition is to wrest political powers from Jonathan and return central powers to the north.

I therefore wonder what qualifies him to the highest political position
of the land. His and above all,
he is not exposed and therefore lacks the knack to handle the intricate
job of modern day political leadership. His only credential of former
head of state is understandable:one hoisted on him by the military. In
fact he does not fit in any longer.

  • BABAZARIA

It is a pity that as Oby Ezekwelesi has recently stated on Channels Sunrise Daily, Majority of Nigerians now worship “Money, Kudi, Owo, Ego”. All those who were alive and have their senses intact know that Buhari/Idiagbon in 1984 brought back Sanity to Nigeria and Nigerians. It was only the Corrupt and Criminals that didn’t like them. Even those people later regretted the stance they took against those people. Thereafter, Buhari led the PTF which gave Nigerians hope and proof that after all it is possible to develop the decaying infrastructure in Nigeria with the N2.00 only per liter that was been collected from local petroleum buyers. Since then it is only FERMA that is patching our roads, with no refurbishment of Hospitals nor supply of drugs and essentials, despite the tonnes of resources that were been budgeted over the years.

We don not have any other country to run to other than Nigeria. We should be honest and sincere to ourselves about how we want our Country to be run. We go to the same markets, hospitals, ply same roads, fly through the same Airports, yet whenever there is issue of who would lead us we start to bring issues of Religion and Tribe, when these factors never affect all other things we do together. No Muslim nor Christian ever stops the other from practicing his Religion, so where does the difference come from???

Enough is Enough let us shine our eyes and do what is right. We should grow beyond the primordial sentiments that are been whiped whenever the issue of leadership comes to fore.

    • 247don007

Buhari is not the kind of leader fit for present day Nigeria. He is a complete mismatched. Whenever the opposition APC is ready to govern Nigeria, they will look for a matching candidate, good & fit for the office and they will have all the needed support.

      • deen

U certainly dont know what you are saying

        • obinna

As well meaning as Buhari may be, I think he is too old to handle the modern day Nigeria. It’s been 30 years. I suppose he’ll do well to retire as an elder state man and lend wisdom to younger generation. He ought to make way for the youths.

          • deen

Are you implying that he cannot lead nigeria? Since when did age becomes an issue in leadership?? And you clearly indicate that he has wisdom.. a feature that is lacking in the present administration

          • BABAZARIA

All those that are not comfortable with GMB leading us should pack their bags and baggages and check out of Naija. When we are back on track they can come back. We shall accept them and ask them to bury their faces in shame.

Gmb failed 1,2,3 times, its remaining but 7 more times for him to break lincoln’s record. Kudos to both of you!

          • Bidemi Lukman

Obinna, GEj is younger, likewise Buruji Kashamu, Alameisaiyyah, Lucky Igbindedion, Gbenga Daniel, Bode Judge, Stella Odua, Dimeji Bankole, Allison Madueke who said Nigeria will continue to import refine fule for the next 20yrs, e.t.c.

Obinna, since the youth are destructive and vehemently refused to take elders’ advice, will it not be wise to try the elders and see if they can do as they have been advising thier struborn children.

        • abdul afoede

Why do you dignify these miscreants with replies. Voters will decide in February, 2015. It is then and only then shall all these PDP paid monkeys will know that they are in minority.

        • 247don007

I very much know what i am saying. Below is an excerpt from the Newsday Reporters:

“Even though I have said it time and time again that the president should control his wife but there is something significant about Mr. President.

He is the first president without any ties to the military mafia. All his children are in schools here in Nigeria. You cannot come across a skyscraper in any corner of Nigeria and people will tell you it belongs to him; even a seven storey building.

I strongly believe that GEJ is a phenomenal change from before and if we cannot find a better, young alternative, then we must remain with him until we can groom someone better.

This is no time to go back to the military mafia and go back to our vomit”

          – Prof. Wole Soyinka

When you people begin to see things beyond party & regional lines, you will know what kind of change is needed in Nigeria. To me, Buhari doesn’t represent the needed change.

Since the APC cannot provide the expected good alternative, i stick with GEJ.

A man who desires revenge should dig two graves. We should avoid a cure that is worse than the disease. Maj. Gen Buhari is not and will not be needed by truly sincere Nigerians to govern us. What is true by lamplight is not always true in sunlight. I love equity and fair play, In a crisis, give help first and then advice. Cutting off a mule’s ears doesn’t make it a horse. No man can lose what he never had. Wherever you go, you can’t get rid of yourself. You can’t build a relationship with a hammer. Put a silk on a goat and it is still a goat. On President Jonathan’s character:

“Jonathan is lacking in broad vision, knowledge, confidence, understanding, concentration, capacity, sense of security, courage, moral and ethical principles, character and passion to move the nation forward on a fast trajectory. Although he might wish to do well, he does not know how nor does he have the capacity to. To compound his problem he has not surrounded himself with aides sufficiently imbued with the qualities and abilities to help him out. Most of them are greedy hangers-on or hungry lacklustre characters interested only in their mouths and their pockets”……OBJ in “my watch”

    • deen

Agreed.. he is crippled in the characters of a leader..

    • Olu. Oluwadare

Hmm..In my view, based on my direct experience with OBJ. He does not just talk. He acts. Revenge or no revenge, the above are honest words for guidance. the OBJ I know shed his sweat and blood for the unity of Nigeria. I once had an issue with someone whom I later got to know was a minister under him, and when I said even if the president comes here, I will not bend the rule, the man became calm and asked me quietly “why will you say such?” and I replied baba said “even it if it was me”. I was only an employee of a company that helped do a job in one parastatal. I think Nigerians need to understand why OBJ is crying out now: What he tought will be good for Nigeria is turning the other way round and he has his name tied to it (he made way for GEJ in into Aso).

      • Bidemi Lukman

My brother, if he is not shedding crocodile tears, he should give necessary support to the opposition just to get GEJ out of power. Will he watch the man to rule us for another 4yrs? At this point, OBJ should be an elder stateman who should not just be cling to a particular political party most especially that he publicly acknowledged the party is not on the righ track. Should he just talk and not act?. If all he is interested in is to talk and not act, he should shot up. The unborn generations of this country will never forgive him if he did not act and allow this guy to rule us again

  • Tunebay

    Still on Jonathan’s character

“The longest period that I have met one-on-one with the president was for one hour and ten minutes. That whole time, the president talked about nothing that was in the interest of Nigeria; instead he kept pointing out his supposed enemies and various matters that would not serve his interests. I could not stop myself from blurting out: “Mr. President, no Nigerian should be your enemy. You have to rule over all of them whether or not they like you. Please, you have to be like rain falling on good and bad people alike.”……OBJ in “My watch”

    • Bidemi Lukman

OBJ have major fault in all these. Does it mean he did not carry out investigation on Jonathan to know who he was befopre he supported to be VP and later president. Nigerains deserve an apology from him, else, he should shut up

  • Tunebay

    Still on Jonathan’s Character

“An elder statesman who formed a close relationship with President Jonathan very early in his presidency came to the conclusion, after six months, that the president has not got what it takes to lead. It was the same elder statesman who reportedly tried to jolt the president into action by telling him that there were five presidents in Nigeria, and these were his wife the first lady, Deziani, Oduah, Ngozi and the president himself, and that he was the weakest of the five”….. OBJ in “My Watch”

  • Tunebay

    Now On corruption:

“In the area of corruption, we have been going back steadily from the inception of Yar’Adua’s administration when the ‘hunter’ became the ‘hunted’. But under Jonathan we seem to have gone from frying pan to fire. If in the past corruption was in the corridors of power, it would seem now to be in the sitting room, dining room and bedroom of power”…..OBJ in “My watch”

  • Tunebay

“If what is called ‘corruption’ is stealing, under the watch of Goodluck Jonathan, then government has become legalised and protected robbery”……OBJ in “My Watch”

    • Bidemi Lukman

OBJ is wrong because GEJ has told us what we call corruption is mere stealing. Funny enough, ICPC chairman, Ekpo Nta also made the same claim. This means ICPC and EFCC are not to prosecute thieves

  • Tunebay

    On Security and Chibok Girls

“The one incident that overtly and graphically exposed the ineptitude, ineffectiveness, inefficiency, carelessness, cluelessness, callousness, insensitivity and selfishness of Goodluck Jonathan was the abduction of about 276 school girls from Chibok in Borno State by Boko Haram. The reaction and attitude of our president and his household was non-belief, to the extent that 18 days passed before he grudgingly concede to accept the reality of the abduction. If serious action had been taken within 48 hours, the story could have been different”…….OBJ in “My Watch”

    • Olu. Oluwadare

My take on Chibok girls: It looks to me that that episode was delibrately created and allowed to remain as a shield in order to cover up the incompetence, deliberate action or laxity/lack of purpose in the issue of insurgency in Nigeria. With the girls “in captivity”, they can keep telling us that it is because of the girls they cannot fight. However several thousands (children, girls, boys, men, women, elderly etc) have died under that guise.

  • Titi

After this six years of anarchy Nigeria is back to square zero, who is even talking of new ideas? we are talking of how to start again on the most basic issues; security, economic stability, basic infrastructure, national unity, foreign policy…; by the way, who is talking about ideas? Jona? chai! i de laugh

  • ibrahim

Jonathan offers provocative killings and stealing. metuh offers provocative lies and insults

  • tsunami1earthquake

And what does the PDP have to offer? After 6 years in office this administration is in peculiar mess!

  • ikenna

The country is insane! The citizens are clueless and myopic. If you can rejoice that a man who over-threw or benefited from the usurpation of a democratically elected government, is openly unapologetic over it and ran a very brutal and abusive junta.

This is a man who has not presented any manifesto, plan, nor submitted any idea or plan he intends to runs with if elected into power. All we hear is “I’ll fight corruption,” “Vote me and my party and they’ll be security,” and “I am the answer to a buoyant economy,” etc. How the heck do you intend to bring these superficial promises to light? Will you fart out insecurity? You think the economy is run by rhetorics? Or you want to fight insurgency with words of mouth? No explanation, no manifesto, nothing practical just cheap vague promises and the mindless followers chorus “Sai Buhari!”

I do not understand folks in Nigeria. If you think that Buhari will do a better job simply because the man in Aso Rock is not doing fine which makes it easy for the Sharia enthusiasts to fart any vague rhetoric to your patronage, then I laugh.

    • Olu. Oluwadare

My dear brother. Please do your own research. Two things: 1. Please note that Buhari was never part of the coup that took out Shagari. He was brought in from NDA where he was Commandant after the leader of the coup was killed in the coup being the most senior army officer then. If you were grown enough to know what happened then, you would know that Buhari’s war was on corruption and the corrupt elite who stole our money and horded them. They also hord food and other goods to make them scarce enough so they can exploit Nigeria and make money from it. They lunder money, push drugs etc. His battle was for the masses. He broke warehouses of evil business men who steal from us, horde goods and refused to sell at normal price and distributed to the masses at normal price. He changed our Naira notes in order to void all stolen and horded cash. What Buhari is suffering today is deliberate character assassination to prevent him from coming back to fight for the masses.
Buhari Fixed our economy in 2 years streghtening the Naira from N48-$1 to N2-$1. He paid up all our debts and refused to borrow from the IMF. I have travelled to almost all the states in Nigeria and seen that most of the roads that still stand today were roads constructed when he was PTF chairman. Most of the ones constructed thereafter have gone bad. Im sure you know the history of the East-West road. Find more info about that road that has been under construction for more than 6 years now. I bet you PDP will still use it for campaign again.
Finally, If Buhari is tribalistic, why will his first daughter get married to an Igbo man? If he is a religious bigot as preached by PDP and the thieves, why does he keep a driver, cook and steward who are christians for more than 10 years now (even helping to fund the education of the driver’s kids when needed). Why will he tell his christian staff to rest on sundays (because it was written in the bible that they do) and refused his muslim staff rest on fridays (because he could not find such clause in the Quran)?
Please, lets not be fooled by what they sell to us through the media (most of whom report for money knowing Nigerians never bother to double check). Please find out from Ministry of Finance: He is the only past Head of state who rejected the 30M pension (cos he belives it amounts to defrauding Nigeria).

      • Bidemi Lukman

God will bless you and your unborn generation for being truthful. I wish myself as I wish you

  • abdul afoede

Fellow Nigerians, please forget about Metuh or whatever he calls himself and enough of all this talk talk so that we can commence the burial rites of PDP in earnest. Thank you.

Ex Militants are having a field day with rampant Oil theft in the Niger Delta. In October the finance minister Iweala said forensic audit of the NNPC to unravel the missing $10 billion will be ready in November. We are now in December! An economic system under her watch allowed the illegal transportation of over $9 million to South Africa. Okonjo Iweala is an armchair economist who is incapable of making realistic forecast on economic projections. In 2 months, the budget has been revised 3 times due mainly to laziness and lack of foresight. Unbudgeted N9 billion was wasted on the empty National conference, unbudgeted N7.8 billion is to be wasted on buying gas stove from South Africa. A mediocre federal executive council could not ask where is this money to come from since it was not captured in the budget. Mr Jonathan likes the presidential seat but avoids the responsibilities.

Metuh is right! President Goodluck Jonathan will win a second term in 2015 by defeating Buhari. President Jonathan will take 57 percent of the votes and Buhari will take 41 percent. This is just too many votes for the old, tired and outdated General. Anyway, he will get that many votes because he is teaming up with the most corrupt Nigerian alive – Tinubu, and because his people are using Boko Haram to cause terror and fear in the minds of our brothers and sisters in the North East
