APC gives own assessment of Jonathan, dismisses President’s claim of ‘achievements’

President Goodluck Jonathan

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has described President Goodluck Jonathan’s claims of achievements after almost 60 months in office as a “scorecard of failure”.

In a statement issued Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said the president failed to get the usual bounce from his recent declaration for a second term because Nigerians were not the least impressed by his achievements, which have not positively impacted on the lives of the citizens.

”Mr. President, Nigerians have asked themselves a simple question: Are we better off today than we were before President Jonathan assumed office, and they have unanimously answered  in the negative. This is why your declaration failed to resonate, despite the hired crowds you ferried to Abuja,” it said.

APC said having weighed the president’s claims in his declaration speech against the reality on the ground, the party has decided to present to Nigerians the true scorecard of President Jonathan in the critical spheres of life, including insecurity, education, job creation, corruption, power sector, and poverty eradication.

The party said the areas of insecurity and job creation, which are intertwined, represent the biggest failure of the Jonathan Administration, irrespective of its claims to the contrary.

”Today, after the Jonathan Administration has spent $32 billion on security and defence, Nigeria is not any safer, with thousands of deaths, 221,000 square kilometres of territory captured by Boko Haram, 650,000 Nigerians internally displaced and also a daily harvest of death from ethno-religious crisis, clashes between pastoralists and farmers, armed robberies and kidnapping.

”To make matters worse, our once proud and globally-acknowledged military has been brought to its knees by lack of necessary fighting equipment, even with $32 billion spent. One wonders where the huge funds went to,” it said.

APC said while the government claimed to have created 1.9 million jobs in all of five years, the truth is that this is a mere tokenism.

”Even if the jobs they said they have created are not phantom, which we know they are, the situation on the ground is grim: 1.8 million Nigerians enter the job market every year, 5.3 million youth are unemployed and overall 20 million Nigerians are in the job market, and these are very conservative figures. Therefore, creating 1.9 million jobs over several years cannot amount to any achievement,” the party said.

It said while President promised Nigerians to eradicate corruption in all sectors of the economy, the facts on ground do not back the promise.

”Mr. President, under your watch, Nigeria’s rating by the global anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International has fallen. In 2009, Nigeria was rated 133 out of 180 countries, while in 2013, the country was rated 144 out of 177 countries.

”Mr. President, under your watch, the list of corruption cases begging to be handled is long: The missing $20b oil money, the Malabu oil scandal, the fuel subsidy scandal, the police pension heist, kerosene subsidy, and the sudden drop in the total amount realized from the Victims Support Fund from N80b to N60b. Plus the Ministers like Abba Moro, who presided over the swindling and death of job seekers, and Diezani Alison Madueke, who has presided over the most opaque oil industry in history, have rather received presidential cuddling instead of sanctions.

”Also, SURE-P, which was conceived to mitigate the hardships imposed on Nigerians by the needless increase in fuel prices, has now become a cesspit of corruption, a conduit for siphoning public funds and sure pit for money that could have ameliorated the suffering of ordinary Nigerians,” APC said.

On electricity, the party said the statement by President Jonathan that his administration’s ”bold move” in the sector has put the country ”on the road to guaranteed regular power supply in the months ahead” is nothing but sheer deceit.

”Under the Jonathan Administration, Nigerians should not be in a hurry to throw away their generators. The facts on the ground show this to be true: While the FG has spent 533 billion naira (about $3 billion) on power, at best Nigerians enjoy less than six hours of electricity per day, where they enjoy it at all, while spending over 800 billion naira annually to fuel their generators.

”Also, the 4,000MW of electricity being generated by Nigeria cannot guarantee stable power for 170 million people or propel the country towards industrialization. By comparison, South Africa, with less than a third of Nigeria’s population, generates over 44,000MW of electricity. There is therefore no way that Nigeria can enjoy a stable power supply with a meagre 4,000MW in power generation,” it said.

APC said the President’s claims that the country has met Millennium Development Goal 1, which is the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, flies in the face of the reality on the ground, adding: ”How can we claim to have eradicated extreme poverty and hunger when over 100 million Nigerians live on less than $2 per day, according to verifiable statistics?”

The party said with 51% of Nigerians, representing 90 million people, being illiterates, the establishment of 150 Almajiri schools has not even scratched the surface of the problem.

It also accused the president of insensitivity to the plight of the people who voted him into office, as he would rather fly to Burkina Faso than visit Chibok, Buni Yadi and Potiskum, which are some of the
places where dozens of youth have been killed and maimed by the Boko Haram terrorists in recent times.

”The President should not just be the Commander-in-Chief but also the Consoler-in-Chief. A President who delights in comparing himself the the likes Obama must learn to act like the US President, who did not hesitate to visit his nation’s troops in Iraq and Afghanistan despite
the risks involved,” APC said.

The party said with his Administration’s litany of failures, President Jonathan should rather apologize to Nigerians for wasting the mandate they freely gave to him in 2011, instead of daring to ask them for another mandate.

GEJ is not the best leader but from what APC is parading as alternative including the newest entrant, the traitor, I have not seen any person that is better than GEJ. For Buhari, the problem is that he will not be in firm control and this is worse. Lai Mohammed should tell us the achievement of APC controlled state government in trying to eradicate hunger in their respective states. The most acclaimed performing governor of Lagos State is a perfidy. Over the weekend I passed through Capitol Road in Agege and saw hell. That road has been like that for the past four years, yet Fashola is continually beating his chest as the best governor that has transformed his state. Let he that thinketh that he stand take hid else he falls. I also went through Ile Epo in Abule Egba Area and wept. Nigerians should all join hands and make something out of this country for themselves. As for the politicians, it is obvious that they have failed us. All of them irrespective of party inclination, they are all looking after their pockets. Or how do you explain the fact that a huge chunk of our budget is for 2000+ and Lai Mohammed is not saying anything about it.

    • progressive

Unless comment so you are telling Nigerians that gej have pit food on our table. You are a shameless person

    • Sword of Damocles

“I have not seen any person that is better than GEJ. For Buhari, the problem is that he will not be in firm control and this is worse”

I could not read pass this line. If your cognitive faculties are correct in the above assertion, then why grown men dey piss for body at the mention of a Buhari Presidency?Do they think that the Ghost of the Late Gen. idiagbon will come back to haunt them. Remember ACTIONS speak louder than words. The FACT that the LOOTERS are PANICKY & JITTERY should inform any THINKING BEING(if they are thinking that is), that the adage:”the enemy of MY/OUR ENEMIES(Nigerian looters/betrayers/ruling barawo elites), IS MY/OUR FRIEND” is indeed a TRUISM!!!!!!! Mai Gaskiya is the FRIEND of the COMMON MAN in Nigeria(take this statement to the BANK & CASH IT). Funny thing is, if people took time to do the research they would find out that he MAY the ONLY friend of the COMMON MAN left. Hence the INSISTENCE that he must take the reigns and put the FEAR of an empowered masses in those God- forsaken thieves & betrayers that we have the misfortune to call “leaders”

    • TRUTH MASTER

Because you have eyes that can’t see, if you stand in front of a 10-storey building, you will not see it. Every one who has collected the presidential nomination form of the APC is head and shoulders above this President.

Don’t even mention Fashola….because he stands taller….far taller…..than your hero any day!

  • Fahad

APC said it all. When Jonathan was listing his achievements during his presidential declaration, I begun to think if am living in different Nigeria because he pretend as if everything is under control and shape.
The fact that Jonathan cannot confront his enemies anf that of the state, made him a clear and true failure. My advice to President Jonathan and his team is for them to present another credible Ijaw man like Akpabio, Amaechi, Odili etc if at all Ijaw people must rule this country. Mr. President with all due respect, Nigeria and Nigerians don’t need a leader of your type. Thank you.

    • progressive

We should all accept that he has failed

      • MrFesh

        Retrogressive.

    • Trigger

So Akpabio, Amaechi and Odili are Ijaw? where are you from punk?Ever heard of Annang(Calabar), Ikwere and Ndoni? Read, read some more…

      • Jika

Is Akpabio from Calabar(Cross Rivers) or Akwa Ibom? The last time I checked, the Annang people are around the Ikot Ekpene Axis of Akwa Ibom bordering the Ngwa people of Abia State. So much for advising people to read more.I think you also should read more.Just my two cents!!!!!

    • Aboki

Ignorance displayed in public space. Akpabio, Amaechi and Odili as Ijaw men. Really. Are you kidding me? It is not enough to access to computer and internet but to be able to also make informed submission.

    • TRUTH MASTER

This is the worst government to have presided over the affairs of Nigeria. We thought Shagari was weak. We thought Yar’Adua was slow. Now we have seen a weak, slow and clueless leadership rolled into one. Never Again!

      • Leslie

        Thumbs up.

    • Fahad

My submission is centered at South South in general not Ijaw. The word Ijaw in my comment is referred to SS…I considered Ijaw to be majority in d region.

      • Trigger

They are not in majority. Forget the noise-making and lies. Don’t help them propagate lies… Ijaw are never in majority except in Bayelsa!!!

      • Otile

Learn something about Nigeria before you make blank and fallacious statements about ethnic groups in 9ja. There are more Igbo from Deta and Rivers than any other ethnic group in SS. Your reference points Akpabio, Amaechi, Odili are not Ijaws by any means. As @MrFresh pointed out, you must have returned from Yemen like the Fulani under-wear suicide bomber held in US.

    • MrFesh

You sure are. Ask your neighbour. You sound like something out of Yemen.

  • Peter

Obviously GEJ remains the best president Nigeria has ever produced. APC as a party remains the number one enemy of this administration and like every arch enemy, you do not see or perceive anything good about him. What else do you expect from a political party that is struggling with itself and turn apart because of internal wrangling and hatred. It is a party of turncoats and opportunity seekers, which is why it today, with scheduled national elections some three months ahead it has not been able to produce its presidential flagbearer. Rather than pursue its objective of strategizing how to outclass the PDP at the polls, it is busy editing and pickingholes in GEJ’s acceptance speech. So let them say anything they like while the government forge ahead. For all I know that janjaweed party will receive some thorough pounding at the polls come February 2014.

  • MushinSpeaks

He swore to protect and unite us but has successfully divide us along ethnic and religious line; he has failed in putting smiles on the masses; he has delivered part of our territory to terrorist; he is daily impoverishing our lives for his own political gain.

This is not the kind of president we deserve. Nigeria needs change!

    • Otile

Yeah, he swore to protect Nigerians from beating their wives, from sleeping with their daughters, religious fanaticism, from insulting one another, to prevent Nigerians from putting their hands into fire. Above all he promised to prevent Islamic terrorism all over the world.

      • Mohstone

I know that you’re a product of incestry. So Jonathan had helped you to stop sleeping with your mom and sisters abi???

  • Ken

Who is Lai Mohammed to tell us who to believe or not. We are totally satisfied with the performance of Jonathan. He has done what others have not done. Apc is just struggling to paint GEJ black, we know. GEJ is the best for now; somebody may emerge later, but for now, GEJ remains the man for the job. He has transformed Nigeria and we need him to consolidate. Anybody who says GEJ has not done anything, is either he/she is blind and deaf or mere playing politics. Nigerians first, Nigerians always.

    • Wähala

Who’s “we” that are satisfied with this moron’s performance… and who are you to speak for Nigerians? At least, Lai Mohammed is the voice of the APC and a respected lawyer, who the fcuk do you represent? Dumbo may remain the man for you but he is Ebola to Nigerians come 2015… Clown!

      • Otile

Why use the words like moron, and clown again? This has become a cliche for some of you. Move on.

        • Troublesome

We need to move on ok as u dont have to tell us. I say Moron like you again.

    • djay

You and who are the WE.Jonathan is locally and internationally acclaimed failure.

      • MrFesh

We are many who see and appreciate good. Your kind food the worst in the midst of good. Your choice. Until a more credible candidate shows up, it’s GEJ till 2019. Take it or take otapiapia.

        • djay

You are talking for yourself and saying ” we are many”. Jonathan is not and was never an electable or credible candidate when he was voted in power. He’s failed and people don’t celebrate failures except those who never work hard to be successful.

          • MrFesh

“Jonathan is not and was never an electable or credible candidate when he was voted in power.” Yet he was voted in. Get serious help ok? You need it urgently.

          • djay

he was voted in based on sentiments not for his capabilities to govern well. Get serious help ok? You need it urgently.

          • Otile

Majority carries the vote, 22 million sentimental voters, that’s is outstanding.

          • Otile

            That’s your opinion.

    • TRUTH MASTER

We are NOT satisfied with the token achievements of this mediocre government. Please speak for yourself

    • Ayodeji

So who are you Ken to say “we” are totally satisfied with GEJ ??

      • MrFesh

Count me in. WE say so.

      • Otile

GEJ is a performer, you all know it too. Be honest for once.

  • Ken

How has GEJ divided Nigeria into ethnic and religious line? How is he impoverishing your lives? He has the best policies on Auto, Agric, Telecoms etc; so have you keyed in. Yes, we have unemployment, but ask yourself, what is your Governors doing? Let us be fair.

  • nnadoris

APC are shameless part nothing good comes out from there mouth.good or bad jonathan remind our choice.

  • ICC Hague

The only achievements of GEJ in office is general insecurity, shrinking of Nigerian territory, rewarding criminals with contract and appointments, enrichment of criminals through his slogan stealing is not corruption.

  • Aboki

Pardon my digression. Another American captured by terrorists in the fashion of Boko haram had just been beheaded. American and the world are not urging Obama to negotiate the release of the hostages. WHY? Americans and human right organizations that will always shout blue murder if it were to be Nigeria or other countries have remain silent. No one holds Obama responsible or calling him names. WHY? Are there opposition in America, are there no Liar Muhammed in America? How come Obama is not qualified to be called clueless and incompetent? Are these parts of conspiracy against the third world or the opposition in Nigeria are just clueless not knowing what and when to say or act? Just curious.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Let me illuminate your ignorance in that case!

No one is blaming the West or Obama because they know the Western leaders say what they mean and do what they say or promise. The perpetrators of those crimes would not go unpunished as OBL didn’t.

Now that you have heard the difference, can you state the same about Mr. Jonothing?

      • MrFesh

And you claim to have some intelligence. “the Western leaders say what they mean and do what they say or promise.” I bet you haven’t heard. Smh.

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Ifebuche, “intelligence” is for those who are more discerning, not for the asinine!

          Sadly, you don’t qualify.

          • MrFesh

  • Oleku

Naijas can do better than slander a better man because of a
blood thirsty mallam from a desert town who could not even win in his
own state. Buhari remains a political cog on the wheel of progress to
the young Northern progressives and he needs to be advised to respect
himself and retire ASAP. Watch out any group that identified with the
blood sucking Muhhamadu Buhari is decimated politically. Buhari may be a
good military leader, but even the worst political leaderships are far
better than the best military leaders. Buhari remains a dictator who is
and still hold on to his “born to rule” mentality of the average mallam
from up country Nigeria. He could be anything to any of your kinds who
served under him but he is not going to rule Nigeria…not even a pinch
of its soil…I can assure you and those whom he is confusing, not even
after he has incited his supporters to kill our graduates who were
serving their fatherland. Buhari could only be the first president of
    the Sahara Desert not Nigeria-period!

    • salako

you that leave in one bedroom with your ogogro farther with all your sisters, you ritualist na you the called somebody blood thirsty.

      • Oleku

Lol! I am Aku nwata 1 of aguata–I solely fought and defeated poverty in my early twenties after my early sojourn to Europe–I didn’t depend on oil for my daily bread–aboki we’re not mates and may never be–I don’t need to blow my trumpet to gain recognition–it’s rather unfortunate that cyber space is open for interaction with everyone ati abokis–aware western education and values is haram in Islam–I will be here to set facts straight regardless the incessant attempts by PT ati SR to gag the truth–SR is now screening my comments–Sowore claims to be a freedom fighter but infringing my rights to same freedom of which he claims to be an advocate-shame

        • 247don007

Please do remind Sowore the next time he delete ur comment of the golden FOI our dear President granted us. If he is free to write nonsense, u are more than free to correct him. FOI is for all.

    • emma sochi

@ Oleku, sincerely, you would have made an interesting writer but for your clear religious and ethnic bigotry. You have failed to see that all major petrochemical plants were built at our backyard by same northerners and muslims eg (warri refinery by buhari, eleme petrochemicals by abacha, ph refinery by tafawa balewa) besides, who created bayelsa state? Abacha! Third mainland bridge by IBB, continous expansion and modrnisation of Warri n Lago ports by tafawa balewa, murtala, gowon n IBB, who picked JEG as running mate against OBJ’s wish? Yaradua, who settled niger delta mikitancy? Yardua, who created NDDC? Yaradua? Yet, you claim the fulani muslims hate us? You must be a tribalist to d core that should never be trusted!!!

  • Oleku

Aware that no president living or dead have done what the great GEJ has done in just 2yrs; PH-Owerri road, Benin-Ore road, Otukpo-Enugu
road, Kano-Maiduguri road, Gombe-Numa road, Abuja airport road etc have been constructed. Some on-going projects are Oshodi-Apapa road, Abuja-Lokoja road, Okenne-Auchi road, Sagamu-Ore road, Lagos-Ibadan road. The banking sector is now stable(for the first time 13 banks were listed in world 1000 banks), 48hrs clearance of goods at the wharf as against months in the past, the railways are now functional, FDI now the highest in africa, power sector reforms, re-modelling of our airports, agric sector reforms etc. These are some of the landmark achievement of the great Jona. Please tell me any leader who have achieved this within this short time, also note
that this achievement came about despite of the deliberate attempt to scuttle and render his regime prostrate through the Hausa-fulanis sponsored boko haram and negative propaganda from Yoruba press.

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

“Great” and GEJ are not synonymous; they don’t even rhyme.

This is almost blasphemy and a desecration of the word ‘great’.

    • Ayodeji

You forgot to add: Employment for more than 70% of our youth, Adequate power generation, zero tolerance to corruption incurable CLOWN

      • Oleku

Do you know the number of the unemployed Naija youths–and what figure 70% translates to–which former head of states was able to do that–not even in the UK or US can any president attain such feet–the problem with you e-janjaweedians is that you lots expect GEJ to transform Naija to Yankee or Jand after just 3 and a half years as president–the rots in the system is so deep that not even Obama can change it within the aforementioned timeframe–GEJ is a reformer and I challenge anyone to take me on issues about any past president of Naija who did better than him in 3years–not ewedu sentiments from the janjaweedians camp

      • Otile

I am still asking why are Yorubas addicted to countering sound arguments with insults, distractions, unrelated events and name calling? They can never finish their comments without interjecting insults like, clown, mugu, yeye, imbecile, dumbo, shallow, pongid, nincompoop, dummy or making a derogatory statement about their imaginary enemy’s brain. Somehow they must of necessity drag in names like Reno Omokiri and place like Otueke to top their ethnic despise. Even their most educated ones must not fail to exhibit their despise for Jona and people east of the Niger in general.

Nigeria needs to divide, let each group go their way, the hatred is too much. The next war will be most internecine. We east of the Niger must not perish because others want our oil. God forbid.

    • bikky

You are a good analyst, keep it up. Is better you do review of your analysis and think twice before you put yourself in another everlasting problems.

      • 247don007

Why not present a counter proof if you have any?

        • bikky

Do you need a proof that a blind man can not see,You are seeking for a proof of so called ”good jobs” Oga Jona did,you can see them by yourself by the road sides when you are going around on your ways.

  • Oleku

I have a few questions for Buhari and if and when he answers me
honestly…maybe I might consider giving him my vote. Firstly, how many
Igbo officers did you kill in 1966 when you cordonned off Ikeja barracks
with Major Martins Adamu and other northern officers? Their children
have not forgotten your face you know! They want to know the truth. Tell
the Yorubas what happened to Lawal Ojuolape and Bernard Ogedemgbe when
you executed them in 1983 for things they did before they became a
crime. What about Ebenezer Babatope? What wrong did he commit in 1983
and yet you kept in in detention, without charge, for the duration of
your reign? Why did you lock up Ekwueme in 1983 after your coup but keep
Shagari under air-conditioned house arrest? It was so bad that even
Barkin Zuwo, the former PRP Governor exclaimed “kai! motor get
accident, police leave driver go catch conductor”. Why did you continue
to hound Papa Ajasin even after the courts and tribunals found nothing
on him twice? A respected elder old enough to be your father! Please
tell us why you let the Emir of Gwandu get away with 53 suitcases of
foreign currency but jailed Fela for being in possession of a small
amount of foreign exchange? Even the trial judge, Okoro Idogu had to
apologize to Fela personally for the travesty of justice which you
forced him to engage in. You arrested decent men like Audu Ogbe who was
not found guilty of anything in 1983 but let hounds like the late Uba
Ahmed get away. What about Ojukwu in 1983. Why did you lock him up in
Kirikiri? What wrong did he commit? Tell me? What about PTF? How many
projects did you site in Niger Delta, the state that produces the oil
from which the funds were derived? How come you sited more in your neck
of the woods – the north than in the area whose lands were needed
rehabilitation from 50 devastating years oil exploration? How come you
now want to use the democratic process to come to power when you spurned
it as a head of state? Tell me why, during your time, nearly all the
oil merchants were Fulani men like you? If you answer these questions
correctly, may be you will have my vote; otherwise, you are an electoral
liability to Tinubu. You are what traders in Jankara and Alaba will
refer to as a “bad market”

    • TRUTH MASTER

Please keep your vote! Blackmail will not get you anywhere!!

    • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

Oleku, you know what to do with your vote, if you are actually registered to vote?

Stuff it where the sun does not shine!

      • Oleku

Yes Kay, I know what to do with my vote and will not be part of those who are encouraging and advocating for Islamic extremism in Naija–I am a registered voter and will be off to Naija to vote for the continuation of Jona’s transformational reforms, I will not want to be subjected to sharia laws in a country I call home and if in any event the shariarists rigged themselves to power we shall resist it with the last drop of our blood and get out of the fraudulent Lugard’s union–shikena

        • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

          lol, Oleku.

You must be a glutton for punishment.

You want more of the ‘Deformation Agenda’?

          You are on your own!

          • Oleku

Why is truth alien to the e-janjaweedians–aware APC recently bought a Greek gift to Sowore of Sahara Reporters–is that part of the progressives–who owns oriental hotels and alpha beta company in Lagos to mention but a few–thief is thief–Naija major revenues is derived from oil–where Jona hails from remember

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

You also appear to thrive on rumour-mongering, Oleku.

Is there some truths, then, to the allegations that you are also Mr. Reno Omokri aka Wendel Slimline?

Your modus operandi appear very similar.

        • TRUTH MASTER

Wait a minute: Do you honestly believe this is the kind of government that Nigeria deserves as this time in her history? Do you honestly believe that Jonathan has provided the kind of leadership that can catapult Nigeria into the committee of industrialized nations and make Nigerians respectable globally? Or are you just playing the devil’s advocate? I ask because your posts are so far apart from reality. Globally, this GEJ government has become a joke. In Africa, it is a laughing stock. In West Africa, it is a plague. Really, a sepulcher is a sepulcher, whether you paint it white or black!

    • dave

You using blackmail to sell a bad product, how far can you go?

      • Otile

Point out the blackmail in Oleku’s comments or shut up.

        • TRUTH MASTER

If you can’t see the blackmail, you need to go back to school

    • Truthometer

Blackmail and loudmouthed tribal and religious jingoism is not going to work this time around. Your corrupt beneficiary is already on his way back to Otuoke where he rightly belongs.

      • Oleku

Provided he goes back to Otuoke with his oil fine by us–oil is a regional wealth not a common wealth-parasites

May Almighty God makes Dumbo the emperor of Ijawland after losing 2015 election and should treat them the way he is currently treating Nigerians amen. And for your information the oil wells in Niger Delta Region will dried up in just 20 years time so be prepared so that u can’t be parasite on other regions of the country

      • Otile

Why not refute these facts with your own arguments based on facts instead of resorting to insults. You people are not doing Buhari any favor either by abusing those who point out truths about Buhari. You are just covering up his evils to deflect attention, and that’s not gonna work.

    • Aminu

We have had enough of your unfounded tale by moonlight stories, can’t u be wise for a moment and tell ur pay masters hate speech, egocentric, religious bigotry, religious extremism, share lies and deciet,is no longer working against 2015 election, spare your airtime bundle and make u turn back to creek to wait and welcome Dumbo by February .

    • BIG NAS

So is that the reason why igbos are killing northern people and pretending to be BOKO HARAM?
everything about boko haram is beafra
The plan is to create war between muslims and christians in the north so that they can reduce their population
that is why you are destroying all the military jet in the name of plane crash so that when the war began military will have no weapons and jet to protect Nigerians
what is the reason behind american government not saling weapons to Nigeria? Did we find out? Hmm!

      • Otile

Really we don’t want the Nigerian army to sent Igbo people to fight anybody in the North. Northerners see any Igbo drafted to fight Boko Haram as a revenge for Biafra. Northerners don’t need anybody’s help to kill themselves. You can be sure of North on North violence at all times.

It is sorrowful to see any Igbo soldier hurt or killed fighting this senseless war. Igbo are peace-loving people, our soldiers should be preserved to defend our race when haters attack us.

      • Johnson

@BIG Nas is a shame to humanity and a disgrace to your parent…how did Igbos become Boko Haram or do you not see Boko Haram Brothers brother in Iraq as ISIS, Lybia, Syria, Sudan and other Muslim countries. This killings in the North did it start today. Igbos are primary target of Boko Haram to kill them. Igbos have been killed in the North at every opportunity without government probe and bringing their killer’s to book. Liers like you are unfit to leave, you are born in hell for telling lies openly without shame. Boko Haram was escalated by some element to destroy or intimidate President Jonathan. The blood of igbos killed innocently will hunt you forever thou son of Lucifer the original lier. This place if for honourable people to make comment not demons to mix with humans. Shame on you thou son of hell. Igbos, Nothern Christians, Moderate Muslims and Southerner’s are the greatest victims of Boko Haram.

Islamic extremism is here to stay until Buhari becomes president. The insurgents boko haram will be a thing of the past once Buhari usurp power at the center. Who can take over the PDP? Of course not APC. Take a glimpse at the so called men of “timbre and calibre” of the Amalgamation of Plunderers of Crude party ati APC–Buhari–an Islamic extremist and a despot who derailed democracy by toppling a legitimate gov’t. Tinubu–king of bourdillion, a Toronto certificate forger, a cocaine junkie and a former straggler in Britain. Yerima–founder of sharia and a 12years child molester of Egyptian girl. Aregbesola–a staunch Islamic extremist who has publicly declared his interest of turning Osun to a complete Islamic state. Alhaji Ahmed Wale Ngige–an Okija shrine fanatic and an Islamic convert. Alhaji Mohammad Babalakin Rochas Okorocha–boko haram scholar and Islamic preacher-southeast political wing. Abubakar Rauf Amaechi–APC south south stooge and Tinubu bootlicker. Femi Kayode–head candidate of psychiatric department. Adams Oshiomhole–leader ‘go and commit suicide’ widows wing. Fashola–host leader and overseer of destitutes on deportation row. Boko haram–military wing of APC. APC–political wing of boko haram. The above is the portfolios of the men in APC. These are same old faces and can’t be the leaders naijas needs. The youths must stand up and present us with a credible candidate or we stick to PDP, a lesser evil to APC.

    • Dr. Kay

Ha ha ha ha ha ho ho ho ho hi hi hi hi you see how your piece written solely due to inspiration for more egunje and envelope ego you will get by concocting juicy , believable and mud splashing stuff on the opposition and its chieftains . What a disappointment and waste of time your piece was because you did not counter all the zero long list of non achievement of Dumbo thus far , instead you are going on and on and on about allegations that if truly you guys are the ruling party should be a ground to arrest and prosecute, but because you are just cutting and pasting beer parlour and pepper soup joint amebo talk , I will say the ogogoro is still intoxicating your already bastardized brain, make una take am softly softly nah , we dont want you to develop stroke oh.,heya take am easy oh.

    • TRUTH MASTER

The sad thing about your ceaseless demonization of Muslims and their religion is that you – the Jonathan supporters – are actually throwing a boomerang! I am not sure if you have the capacity to understand me. But you will, somehow! Jonathan could not have become President with just the votes of Christians alone. And the harder you hit at Muslims, the faster your hero’s chances of re-election disappears.

The Boko Haram war is not a religious war. It is a needless violence by a depraved few using religion as a cover. They have killed more Muslims than Christians, considering the epicentre of their deadly activities. Instead of seeing it for what it is (TERRORISM) and confronting it, you and your likes are busy demonizing people, their religion and their parties.

If you do not know what boomerang is, go and learn about it today!

  • The Revolutionary

Only a bloody revolution can save Nigeria – political parties in Nigeria are criminal organizations.

  • bikky

Layi, even if you did not tell us all of these,I think average reasonable Nigerians have seen and tasted difference between poor and poverty,President Jona unveil the face of poverty in Nigeria, what else you expect reasonable Nigerians that understand being a poor and being in abject poverty do with his/her vote in 2015? Just leave that to Nigerians, ah! Mr Jona came from poor background(as he claimed) to unleash poverty on Nigeria and heaven knows Nigeria has never been so badly managed/governed like this.So This is the Time,Vote Wisely.

These APC morons are big jokers! Over 100 millions Nigerians living below $2 per day in a country of just over 160 million people?? Where did they get their fake and alarming statistics from? They for kuku say all Nigerians are living below $2/day na. These fools are just getting more desperate each day, and also making Nigerians to get wiser each day! Bunch of islamist propagandists!

The dictionary of the angry mob is now expanding. Beside insults like: clown, clown prince, dumbo, imbecile, moron, dummy, pongid…, they are now spicing their vocab with words like shallow, mypic, phool, arse, coward, deluded, yeye, idiot, small minded, empty headed, buffoon. Otueke is the epicenter of their insult, and their main man there is Reno Omokri. All of them sound like a broken record, just read their comments.

They are so proud of their insulting words that they see insults as upper cut against their imaginary enemies. Each time they pass a few of their obnoxious words they brag, vote for one another and rejoice. It is interesting to watch this breed of humans originating from a particular tribe. Good a thing, everybody from this tribe does not behave in the manner this mob, otherwise their place would be the devil’s abode on earth.

  • Delfin Shamaki

Lai mohammed you are not talking the mind of majority of Nigerian’s. what research have you done that made you conclude that nigeria said they are not better of than when Mr president came to office. you are just desperate. Again i would say that is self delusion.

  • ofonime Daniel Imoh

Lai Mohammed , can you tell Nigerians how long it took you people to compose this unguarded statistics ? Some times I wonder why it took you people this long to come up with this kind of arithmetic injanjawa, if it is not for political gain. Can you come out in bold and tell Nigerians that you and your apc caucus are not the ones that are behind the current spate of insecurity in Nigeria ? We know you play politics with peoples life that is why you have to wait from 2011 till now to bring this fake statistics because election is just by the Conner. Gej we know 2015

  • _Proudly Niger Delta

In a 15th June 2010 report, BBC’s reporter, Caroline Duffield, described Nigeria’s Niger Delta as the ‘World oil pollution capital’ of the world.

I searched frantically through Nigerian newspapers both off line & online, none reported it. While the media houses bask in that misplaced euphoria in reporting stories regarding corruption here and there, commensurate energy is never dissipated on issues relating to the incessant and continual pollution of my Niger Delta…

The fight to get to the center and control my inherited resources gets dirtier by the seconds…and no one cares about my polluted ecosystem. I am a UNIPORT student and we are a family of fishermen…My Mama can no longer pay my tuition & accommodation bcos our rivers in Bodo and environs have been destroyed with spills and so she and others can no longer fish in the waters…even to eat anything planted from our
village is suicidal bcos toxins are in land, water and air. So, how do I pay my school fees? No more source of livelihood. What do we do? Do we abandon our community for the oil companies? Or do I join the noble Niger Delta freedom fighters to CONFRONT ?…after all we’ve been advised from the ‘throne’ to defend ourselves.

    • Sunkani

Yea. You need to feend your self from those who claim to be your leaders and representing you but are feeding fat on you. They collect billions of dollers every year on your behalf and fly abroad to to go and invest it leaving you in a very miserable condition.

      • _ProudlyNiger Deltan

You mean my brothers like Tinubu family of Oando? Or are you referring to Otedola – the oil subsidy scam Major?…abi na sister Alakija who got my oil blocks from IBB? …abi na IBB’s front – ‘Adenug Baba’? Which of these do you refer to? Or na Bros wey dey sleep for N50m bed you dey talk? Orhue!

        • Bambam

He actually meant JonaTAN..Patience..Diezani..Odili..Alams..Ibori..those who claim to come from Nigeri Delta and have not done anything for you in 16 years with increased oil revenue..especially JonaTAN as president in the last six years..who cannot even clean up your environment and build the East-West road..you better go back and join your N/Delta group..but be rest assured the whole Nigeria would fight you and defend ourselves..while the International Community would declare Foreign Terrorists Organisations (FTO) just like Boko Haram…and you would all be killed with drones!!

  • Ebitari

I for talk but I no go talk again since so many people have read in between the lines. If the only campaign politician have to curry my vote is to issue insult to political opponents then they are not serious. I think Nigerians are now more politically mature to know that anyone currying for their votes must tell us in clear terms what they can do better instead of wasting their time and resources finding the right vocabulary to use for insults.

    • Tonnero

Where did you see the insults? The next election, as the Americans say, is a referendum on the incumbent. If he has done well, the vote for him. If not, then send him back to Otuoke. GEJ said he performed. What Lai did is to tear that down. No personal attacks.

    • Johnson

@ Ebitari very good talk…APC should tell Nigerians the plan for them not insulting Mr. President. If insult is all they have as a strategy, then Nigeria is in big problem. It is vital they discuss issues and tell us how they will perform better than Jonathan. We need to see their roadmap.

  • favourtalk

What a shame, we need a country that will transform the nation. We need a better man for the job not the clueless and less achieved man like this GEJ. We need a nation

  • Ologbonlolode

LET US PRAY … May the good Lord, Allah, Chi, Osanobua, Eledumare and other awesome names of God as applicable, make your life and that of your family as President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP have made Nigeria in the last 15 years!!! Can I hear a resounding Amen???

Just imagine how all of you from Oduduwa now support the power drunk North becos of just small threat. No be once person dey die? It is better to die free than as a slave. ok?…abi you dey glad as Oba no dey for Ilorin so?

      • zaragoza

        Mumu Say Amen na.

  • Concerned Citizen

All i know is i don’t need statistics or anyone to tell me that Nigerians are suffering. All i need to do is look left and right. Enough is enough we must wake up, PDP has clearly not delivered. So let us allow other parties rule and let us see the difference. This one party agenda: where PDP has monopolized control on all three arms of the federal government has done nothing but plunge us into where we’ve found ourselves. it is time for change. I beg Nigerians to please not squander this opportunity in 2015. I dont know if we can survive another 4years like the previous one.

  • allfsanni

What make me sorry be say when some one get to Nigeria hospital na he go die be that. Them go say no this no that na heim causam. Even for Abuja hospital na the same story. i still dey hear some people don go hospital for oversea. Some dey die there and some de just come back from checkup. All this money when full Jonathen and other ogas pocket reach to give fre medecine to people for Nigeria make dey nodie like that.

If you want to write in broken English come to Pitakwa where good broken is spoken. Come and see many Hausa and Yorubas living in Pitakwa, you will envy their broken language. Your broken here does not make much sense.

  • Preco01

Politics apart, is Johnathan so insensitivity and detached as to real out outer nonsense as his achievement and reason to run again? Me I no know say Nija don pkafuka like this o!

  • Johnson

APC is not a serious party, let them leave Nigerian Voter’s to access Jonathan. APC should give us their own plan for Nigeria and their score card for Nigerians to benchmark with that of Jonathan. Up till now, I have not seen the program or plan APC have for Nigeria. Jonathan did well to present his plan without abusing any APC member or the Party, but, APC never show any program, all they do is only monitor Jonathan to abuse or criticise him, the President and call him names without they APC showing us what they plan for Nigeria. Nigerians are not fools, we de laugh oooooo. They abuse the President and his office and still themselves aspire for the same office. APC, it is now time for you to tell Nigerians you program and strategy to develop Nigeria. Leave the President alone, he has presented his score card and plan beyond 2015 if elected, APC should do same and stop being childish. We the electorate will decide not the players.

    • Ebola or Gej

You are ignorant and bush man! APC as a party is made up of Nigerians and indeed electorates, in politics they have right of opposition and and are entitle to their own opinions. As far as your gej is a complete failure, incompetent to handle issues and more over running a corrupt government and APC are out their for CHANGE, Majority of Nigerians are in support. Weather you like it or not GEJ must GO and WE SAY NO RIGGING’.

      • Johnson

You guys love insult, am not going to join you…still no program of action from APC, talk cheap.

    • tijan kabba

why should the APC leave GEJ, where then is the democracy we crave if the opposition is to leave the ruling party to grind the country to a halt

      • Johnson

Opposition do not mean insult and name calling, it means provide alternative program for Nigerians to decide. APC only say Jonathan did this or that, that is cool, but, as opposition party they should provide us a roadmap of how their program would be better than Jonathan’s own. Jonathan have introduced lots of programs, APC should tell Nigerians their plan for Nigeria…this is what is called opposition. Apart from Buhari all the major contenders of APC Presidential slot are former PDP which just decamped – Name them, Kwakanso, Tambuwal, Atiku etc. As APC members, they suddenly become saints. Please give me a better argument.

        • tijan kabba

I have not put a mark on sainthood on the APC, but the fact remains that the PDP has failed and it remains the job of the opposition to point that out. More So it would be good if you used google a bit more. The APC had it revised edition of its manifesto out a few weeks ago. It states in detail how they intend to turn this country around for good. The road map is very clear.

          • Johnson

Good…I wish to see the roadmap.

          • tijan kabba

if you would be kind enough to drop your email, then i will mail it to you sir.

  • paul preston

APC only thrives on lies, the man who first made that 20bn dollars allegation went begging a few days ago,on job creation how many jobs have been created by apc governors? sure-p is shared to states including apc states what have they done with their share of the money, are we to say that apc states are also involved in this sur-pit of corruption? Nigerians should dread these apc people they have nothing to offer this country apart from violence, all the bokko harram ravaged states are have apc govs, who probably connive these blood suckers with the aim of embarrassing the FG.COME 2015 GEJ WILL WIN A LANDSLIDE

    • Truth

      Reno Omokiri!

    • tijan kabba

Lies? was it the APC that lied about a non-existent ceasefire, or lied abt its part in an illegal arms deal? GEJ is a colossal failure and should be voted out of office come 2015

  • tijan kabba

this is just the beginning, the Ekiti people are in four it. this is the consequence of voting a parasite like the PDP

    • Johnson

The same thing is happening in Edo state, in fact Edo’s case is even worst as law maker have even been murdered and it is APC.

  • Mohstone

Going thru this thread, I could easily tell that all JEG supporters are spiritually, morally and mentally blind. I rest my case.
