FRSC embarks on campaign against defective vehicles in Katsina

Repair your vehicles, FRSC Sector Commander in Katsina tells motorists.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has concluded plans to embark on enlightenment campaign against the use of defective vehicles in Katsina State.

The state’s FRSC Sector Commander, Habu Dauda, said in Katsina on Sunday that the week-long campaign, tagged “Operation enlightenment all through,” would commence on September 3.

He said that during the campaign, special marshals would stop motorists, check their vehicles, and enlighten them about the dangers of using defective vehicles.

According to Mr. Dauda, motorists found with defects on their vehicles will be issued with a free checklist to go and repair the defective parts of their vehicles.

The sector commander said “motorists should not panic as no fine ticket will be issued to them during the campaign.”

He urged the public and the motorists to cooperate with the FRSC staff as the entire exercise was to ensure their safety
