A 28 year old student knocked out four teeth off his opponent’s mouth during a fight.
A 28-year-old man, Olanrewaju Gabriel, on Tuesday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, for removing a man’s teeth during a fight.
The prosecutor, Barth Nwaokoye, told the court that the defendant was involved in a fight with one Kazeem Tiamiyu who lost four of his front teeth in the brawl.
Mr. Nwaokoye said that the complainant, Mr. Tiamiyu, was absent in court because he is still being hospitalised following the loss of his teeth. He said that the offence, which was committed on August 9, at Ladipo, Mushin, Lagos, contravened Section 351 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, A.O. Isaac, granted the defendant bail for N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case to October 3.
