According to one of the founders of the Nigerian Corner, this year’s event will be big.

The longest running annual gathering of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, the Nigerian Corner at Notting Hill Carnival will take place on Monday at Adela Street, London W10 5BR.
Founding member and veteran of the Nigerian Corner, and producer of the event Ayo Shonaiya says “This year’s edition is going to be big, and our designated and licensed site at Adela Street is the place to be for all Nigerians in London on Monday the 27th of August”.
The location is close to the Underground station, Kensal Green.
Performing and entertaining the audience on Adela Street this year are UK based Nigerian artistes – Jibola and Tipsy. Rapper Muna, Reminisce (Kako Bi Chicken), Olamide (Eni Duro) and Sir Shina Peters are the Nigerian based artistes that will perform at the event.
The event will be anchored by a Nigerian Corner veteran DJ Abass, alongside two comedians – Wale Gates and Buchi. Music will be provided by Nigerian DJs in the UK.
Since 1986, the Nigerian corner has been the meeting point for Nigerians at the famous Notting Hill Carnival. Nigerians in the UK, gather to celebrate Nigeria, network, re-connect, eat, drink, and be merry.
The event showcases Nigerian artistes either based in the UK or in Nigerian.
