Despite having two wives, Alabi Bakare, raped three minors in Lagos
A commercial motorcyclist, Alabi Bakare, who is married to two women, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment, for raping three minors.
Mr. Bakare, based in Lagos, was sentenced by A. O. Isaac, of the Ikeja Magistrate Court, after pleading guilty to the charges.
The Lagos based ‘okada’ rider pleaded guilty, on August 8, to having carnal knowledge of the minors aged between three and five.
The prosecutor, Barth Nwaokoye, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, had told the court that Mr. Bakare raped the minors on August 3, by 7.00 p.m., at number 19, Oluwakemi Street, Alapere, Ketu area of Lagos.
“Bakare was caught in the act by a co-tenant, who reported the matter to the police,” he said.
The convict’s actions contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
