The commissioners are: Christopher T. Dega, Aliyu Musa, Bala Hassan, Mohammed J. Abubakar, Tambari Y. Mohamme, Ibrahim Abdu, Julius A. Ishola, Alex Emeka Okeke (AIG Medical Services).
Furthermore, in its attempt at motivating deserving officers of the Nigeria Police force, the Commission at the 28th Plenary Meeting equally considered and approved the promotion of 32 Deputy Commissioners of Police to Commissioners of Police, while 91 Assistant Commissioners of Police were elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police respectively. All the above mentioned promotions are with effect from the 1st of August, 2012. Also, the Commission approved the promotion of a Sergeant to Assistant Superintendent of Police II with effect from 7/7/2010.
Equally, the Commission meted out various disciplinary measures to some senior officers for acts unbecoming of superior police officers. A superintendent of Police was dismissed; a Chief Superintendent of Police was compulsorily retired while a Superintendent was reduced in rank to Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Parry B.O. He enjoined all personnel of the force to redouble their efforts towards the maintenance of Law and Order as the Commission he posited is keenly monitoring their service delivery pattern to the Nation and would not fail to sanction erring ones adequately.
