Jonathan approves redeployment of six permanent secretaries

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the redeployment of six permanent secretaries.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja and signed by Tope Ajakaiye, the Deputy Director (Press and Public Relations) in the office of the Head of Service, the new places of assignment for the officials were enumerated.

Those affected include Ibukun Odusote, who has been moved from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation. Taye Haruna of Police Service Commission, has been moved to the Ministry of Environment.

Linus Awute has been moved from the Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development; while A. Daniel-Nwaobia, formally in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, has been moved to the Ministry of Interior.

Similarly, Ossi Afamefuna moves from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties) to the Ministry of Women Affairs.

The statement said that Henry Akpan, a newly appointed Permanent Secretary, was posted to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (Special Duties).

It quoted Isa Sali, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation as saying that all handing and taking over formalities should be completed on or before Wednesday, July 18.
