Nigeria Premier League club, Lobi Stars, on Wednesday forced Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles, to a 1-1 draw in a tune up match played in Abuja.
The Midfielder, Ugonna Ezenwaka again scored from a free kick in the first half just as he had done in last week’s challenge game against the Super Eagles, which also ended in a 1-1 draw.
However, Lobi drew level in the second half courtesy of a sweetly struck goal to give Coach John Obuh some food for thought.
“We were missing some key players for one reason or the other and so did not play as well as we did in the first half against the Super Eagles,” admitted the coach.
“I would have been happier if we had defended till the end the goal we scored, but we could not. We will continue to work hard as we rebuild the team for the African Youth Championship qualifiers”.
The Flying Eagles are expected to fly out of the country on Monday for an eight-nation invitational tournament in Cape Town, South Africa, from May 24.
The team was at the visa application centre on Wednesday morning to process their entry visas to South Africa.
The African champions are drawn against Tanzania in a 2013 AYC in July
