Oshiomhole

 

The Police have announced a N10 million reward to any person who volunteers information leading to the arrest of killers of Comrade Olaitan Oyerinde,  the Principal Secretary to Gov Adams Oshiomhole.

Mr. Oyerinde was killed in the early hours of Friday by unknown gunmen.
Peter Gana, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Headquarters, Abuja, who announced this in Benin on Sunday, said the Edo Government offered the reward to facilitate the arrest of Mr. Oyerinde’s killers.
Mr. Gana, who said that he was in Benin to complement the efforts of the state Police Command, pledged that the Force would do everything possible to unravel the perpetrators of the crime.
He, therefore, urged anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the killers to contact the police.
“We have opened three telephone lines for the public to assist in the investigations,” said Gana when he visited Oshiomhole at the Government House, Benin.
He gave the telephone numbers as Etisalat – 080178624253, Glo – 08158823049, MTN – 0814177026, adding that the lines would be active from 3 p.m. on Monday.
He assured the people of the state that the Police would do its best to guarantee the safety of lives.

    There they go again! Paying a ‘reward’ to whoever comes forward with a clue. That, to me, sounds like a potential alibi to not being able to find the killers because I guess hardly will anyone come forward.

    What of other thousand poor Nigerians that were massacred in other parts of the country? Are they not humans? There is no justice in this country and that is why we will continue to have problems. God, the Almighty is watching!
