Breaking News: Fresh explosion rocks Jos

A vehicle damaged in the Kaduna blast

While the nation is yet to recover from this morning’s deadly explosion in Kaduna, which killed about 20 persons, a fresh blast has been reported in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

The National Emergency Management Agency said the explosion occurred about an hour ago in a park at the Tudun Wada area of the city.

A resident of the city says the attack happened beside K-Rock Hotel not far from another major hotel in the vicinity of the Plateau Government House.

NEMA’s spokesperson, Yushau Shuaibu says security operatives and rescue workers have since arrived the scene of the incident.

We are unable to confirm details of casualty and extent of damage caused by the explosion at this point.

The police in Jos could not immediately be reached for comments.
