The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno, has killed three Boko Haram suspects in two separate attacks in Maiduguri.
The JTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Shamsu Musa, told newsmen in Maiduguri that the incidence took place on Saturday evening, after the suspects had attacked JTF locations in Jajeri and Abbaganaram in the metropolis.
“Between 5.30 and 7.15 pm, suspected Boko Haram members attacked JTF locations in Jajeri and Abbaganaram. The attack was repelled, three suspected Boko Haram members were killed,” Musa said. He added that some arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects. “One AK 47 rifle with 200 rounds of 6.722mm special ammunition were recovered.
“Our troop are in pursuit of the sect members and further information would be communicated, as the situation is under control,” the JTF spokesman said.
