Reports from Jos, the Plateau State capital, say students from the University of Jos have hit the streets protesting the stabbing of two of their colleagues.
Chanting anti-government slogans, the students have blocked the highways leading to Bauchi and traffic along that route is on a standstill.
Eye witnesses say the students are suspecting some Hausa men staying close to the Naraguta hostel of the university for the stabbing of their colleagues..
