The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Mr. Tha’anda Rubainu bequeathed the Gombe Judiciary 17 vehicles worth N226.5 million on behalf of the state government on Monday.
Mr. Rubainu said the vehicles meant to assist the
Judges and the Khadis in the state, in the discharge of their duties.
Commending the act, The Chief Judge of Gombe State, Akila Heman, assured the state of the readiness of the judiciary in the state to ensure speedy trial of cases.
Mr. Heman said the vehicles will enhance performance of the judiciary in the state.
“We assure you that the performance of the honourable judges and khadis will be enhanced both within and outside the state”.
“We want to rededicate ourselves to the service of Gombe state in the administration of justice, particularly in these challenging times when we have enormous security challenges”.
Mr. Heman said that the judiciary will continue to perform its role in ensuring criminal matters are treated accordingly.
