The Borno Police Command said on Sunday 11 persons suspected to be the masterminds of the attack on the Mobile Police Base, Bama on Saturday, have been arrested.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Samuel Tizhe, told newsmen in Maiduguri that one of the attackers, was, however, killed, during the arrest, while several explosive devices were recovered.

“Some gunmen launched an attack on a mobile police base in Bama around 5.30p.m.,” the police spokesperson said. “The gallant officers successfully repelled the attack. One person was, however, killed, while 11 others were arrested. Arms and several improvised explosive devices (IED)s were recovered from the suspects.”
