Unidentified gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect have staged another attack at another divisional police station in Demsa local government area of Adamawa state.
The attack, which is the second successive attack in the state, came barely a day after another attack in Madagali left four persons dead.
Although details of the incidence are still sketchy, police spokesperson. Altine Daniels, confirmed that the Demsa division was attacked and burnt.
According to her, detail reports about the damage and casualty were still being expected from the divisional police officer in charge of the station.
Sources who broke the news of the incidence to our reporter suggested that the members of the sect used Improvised Explosive Device in the attack.
A resident of the area told our reporter via telephone that mobile policemen had been drafted to the scene of the attack, adding that residents have all retreated into their homes.
He said palpable fear had pervaded Demsa town, with residents of neighbouring Numan local government area fearing that the terrorist might descend on their town too.
Already, security has been heightened across the state.
