APC taunts Fayose, says seeking relief from a judiciary he assaulted laughable

Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti state

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has reacted to the ruling of the Federal High Court rejecting Governor Ayodele Fayose’s request to stop the House of Assembly from going ahead with the impeachment proceedings against him, saying it is laughable that the governor who once desecrated the judiciary by leading thugs to beat up judges and tear court records in the Chief Judge’s office is now approaching the same institution to protect him from his illegal acts.

It also expressed surprise that the governor could approach a Federal High Court in Abuja for protection over a matter that happened in Ekiti after lampooning APC for approaching same court in Jos Division while seeking protection from the governor’s harassment and attacks.

It added that the governor contradicted himself by challenging the legality of his impeachment proceedings when he had earlier claimed that he was not aware of any impeachment move by the lawmakers.

A statement by Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, said the governor is confused on how to handle his cases in court, having desecrated Ekiti State judiciary and instigating the state judiciary workers to refuse resumption of duties.

“Fayose didn’t allow Ekiti courts to function and he declared the State Chairman of the APC, Chief Olajide Awe, wanted over a phantom murder charge, Chief Awe obtained an injunction against arrest from a Federal High Court in Jos, which the governor referred to as a ‘black market injunction’. He has now run to Abuja to get an injunction to restrain the 19 lawmakers from impeaching him but the court in its wisdom has turned this request down,” the APC spokesman noted.

He expressed delight at the court ruling, saying the gesture was a warning to the governor and his ilk that the rule of law had come to stay in Nigeria.

“Bye bye to impunity and flagrant trampling on the nation’s constitution. The governor should get set for his impeachment and we advise him to assemble his legal representatives. The Assembly is prepared to give him a fair hearing in the matter and he should be assured that he has nothing to fear.

“Mr. Fayose must respond to the impeachment notice from the House of Assembly and stop looking for an easy way out,” the Olatubosun added, stressing that the emergence of General Buhari as the President-elect marked the end of impunity in the country.”

    • Omoagunmate

He is gone. Word out on the street is that he has started packing his personal belongings out of the state house. He is just warming the governor’s seat up for a short time. He is not a governor material, he belongs in the car pack maybe a regional leader of the NURTW, or association of okada riders.

Useless man, Fayose. Worse still, a shameless one at that.
How can someone labour so much to bring this kind of fate on himself? How on earth does someone get to the lofty height that this man reached twice, only to labour so much to bring himself down in disgrace?
What is it about Fayose that makes him to be so self-destruct? Is it destiny or what? I don’t believe it is destiny. I blame it on character. Fayose is a slave to his own character. He cannot change anything about himself. He cannot do anything differently. He probably doesn’t even care about doing anything differently. He probably does not even ever sit down to ask himself a question about whether there is a different way to do the things he does.

I ask myself the same question, while this path of self destruction. Governor Fayemi congratulated him when he won the Ekiti gubernatorial election, but instead of him reaching out to his fellow Ekiti people, he went on a warpath. Fayose and FFK went too far in projecting and defending President Jonathan.

      • Omoagunmate

Were they really projecting and defending Dumbo? I think they were defending and protecting their own ass. Both of them have pending court cases, and both know that a Buhari victory could mean a long jail terms for them. I think they are both right in that regards, Fayose will end up in prison for sure, but not sure about FKK though.

Fayose!!! it is what you sow you are reaping. You refuse to listen to the words of wisdom. You are just a governor of Ekiti state you decide to take the laws into your hands, harassing and insulting everybody. You are now on your own.You should carry your cross by yourself. The president elect General Buhari is known Worldwide as a credible leader. There is nothing he can do for you on the issue’s on ground. The only option left for you now is to go and see your mother, you have been insulting and embarrassing the poor woman.Let her pray for you and beg for forgiveness.Even if you are impeach any thing you lay your hand and do,you can still succeed. You that suppose to be a role model for the youth, you are now a bad example.

It is only the chickens coming home to roost for Fayose. May be he was never brought up to know what was written in the Torah, the Bible and the Koran that every soul is the architect of its own fate, and that a man can only reap what he sows, good or bad. And if he had in fact known this teaching of the Holy Books, one can only say that Fayose deliberately rubbished these teachings to his own peril. Thus it is harvest time for Fayose. May he be a good lesson for all current and future Fayoses, as this drama continues to unfold. We all cannot wait to see its final chapter, as Fayose sinks deeper into the giant grave he had dug for someone else to fall into.

  • Ologbonlolode

Hmmmmm … the very last time I checked my crystal ball, I saw “Twice Impeached Ex-Governor Ayodele Fayose.” I just checked again and nothing has changed. In case the rudderless guy resigns, I advised the Ekiti State assembly to reject his resignation and get him out through legal means of impeachment. Walahi, yeye dey smell well well oo.

So much love by Muslim to Muslim Nations. Islam is indeed a religion of peace and so much confusion in the Islamic World.

It is Assad who has done deals with ISIS, not Saudi Arabia. The idea that Assad who has raped, tortured , bombed and starved Syrians by the million is a better option than the people who rose up in a revolution for freedom and dignity is a sick joke.

Saudi Arabia is a terrorist nation. Muslims waste their money to go to a terrorist nation like Saudi Arabia to perform Hajji.
