    Lol.

    • Next level

Though I’m happy that APC won overall, I’m a bit worried that APC being the ruling party in Lagos state could not deliver a landslide in an election where numbers are definitely going to count. I’m also worried about the number of votes cast in Lagos state which in my view appear paltry

      • Layo

A whole lot of people were unable to vote in so many locations. My Mum’s polling unit, INEC did not turn up at all, I believe it was sabotage to reduce the number of voters in Lagos knowing it is an APC stronghold. However, bros Jona spent billions in Lagos, still he lost.

      • Tunsj

Jonathan, the clown spend a lot of dollars in Lagos State, bribing many people including Adams of OPC, Obesere and Saheed Osupa. Those clowns ought to be ashamed of themselves.

  • ogechi

  • Wähala

Wins in Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Benue, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara…
Dumbo will have to climb higher than Olumo Rocks (not Aso Rock) to even see the back of Buhari in this race…
Not even all the votes in the South-East ati Sou-South will be enough to surmount the Kilimanjaro Mountains ahead…
Like the eccentric Olisa Metuh once said, “it is better for (PDP) to surrender this elections” and save Nigeria from descending into prolonged bickering over spilled odeku. The fact that African leaders from AU, ECOWAS, AfDB etc, held a closed door meeting with Dumbo means they too have read the writing on the wall: A new dawn is upon us, time to move on is now! The joint British-American “warning” to the Clown Prince of Otuoke not to tamper with the peoples’ will is a sign that the world is willing to recognize a parallel government and most likely “intervene” to save Africa from the evil machinations of the Satan’s acolyte, Dr. Dumbo Jo. He has to choose how to leave the stage, Bow or Blow… his choice is easy as sex! SHIKENA!

    • Paului

Will be glad if GEJ loses so you don’t have to call him dumbo. Wahala, you are not better a human being than those you be little and insult every time you express your opinion on this platform. You ought to be a shame of yourself. Shame on you. I care less of who wins this election. Shame on you sir.

      • Omoagunmate

Dumbo have being insulting the intelligence of over 100m people for the past 6 years, calling him Dumbo should be seen as a compliment. There are more worthy names for the Otueke clown.

        • Paului

How did Mr Jonathan insulted the people for the past 6 years. Please, get your facts straight. He was very weak as a leader but did not insult us. Thanks, I don’t just like the insults on him which I think is unfair. Just expressing my views.

          • Omoagunmate

Where do you want me to start? lying on a daily basis, sponsoring thugs, thieves and criminals of all sorts to attack the masses, looting our treasury dry, the Chibok girls saga, the I don’t give a damn matter, $20m dollars missing, the immigration employment scam the led to death of young unemployed Nigerians, his wife asking people to stone Nigerians for demanding change, his militant brothers threatening us all with war if he is not re-elected, the embarrassment of our country on the international stage and the current on-going attempt to subvert the will and right of people to elect their own leader. I don’t know about you o, you could be a few of those benefiting from his corruption driven “transformation” agenda, all we want is for Mr Goodbye Jonathan to go in peace and let the will of the people prevail.

          • Wähala

Stop wasting your time with the Aborigine, they’re sycophants and will never learn. Dumbo is in the soakaway floating with shit while the mumu sits there wondering where his next crumbs will come from. Ignore the tout biko…

      • Wähala

Dumbo told 180million Nigerians, “I don’t give a damn” and refused to declare his assets all thru his 6yrs of ogogoro gulping on the rock, and you’re here now lecturing me on ethos of engagement. Dumbo is an evil man, a Godless and heartless Ijaw criminal from the creeks. He’s a case study in Failure if a textbook is to be written about all things negative about governance. In fact, I have a compilation of all my comments about him that dates back 5yrs and I will publish it for my students to reference in the future. He is a crook and a psychopath, only an insane person like you will have empathy for him this moment of glory for all Nigerians and Africans at large. Go to Hell with him for all I care… I am happy to see his rear end leave the Naija stage. A zoo keeper cannot be made my brother’s keeper biko… Tufia!

THE NORTH DOES NOT REALLY NEED THE HELP OF TINUBU

APC won a total of 2,433.193 in the South West while PDP won a whopping 1,821,416 in the South West leaving a difference of a mere 611,777 in favour of APC.

So after all the hype and noise about how powerful Bola Tinubu is and how he said to control the entire South West …… it is only a mere 611,777 votes that he could deliver to the advantage of Buhari in the whole of South West.

In fact, a large chunk of the advantage came from Oyo and Ogun States.

Bola Tinubu is surely not the need of the hour for the North

    • D.A

How many votes did Buhari get in 2011 from the SW?? Once you have done the comparison in numbers and the added 25% requirement fulfilled (which Buhari never had in 2011) then you can tell the difference. Don’t forget that the other Yoruba states of Kwara and Kogi also followed the SW from Jonathan to Buhari!

      • Salisu Dan-Gombe

Your point is relevant because in 2011 there was no merging of parties ……. now the parties merged and it is parties we vote for in Nigeria not individuals.

Bola Tinubu failed woefully in the South West

        • emmanuel

In all Gej is a better candidate, because Jega used TVC to rig fir the North

        • fela

    • Omoagunmate

Take ya divide and rule tactics somewhere where the sun doesn’t shine. Your so-called 611,777 votes would be enough to kick Jonathan out of Aso Rock and back to where he belongs, and on that one, your guess is as good as mine sunshine.

      • Salisu Dan-Gombe

This is not about Jonathan …….. this about letting everyone know that political power belongs to the North and we are free to use South West only as we please.

Do you think that 611,777 is what is sufficient to return the Presidency to where it rightly belongs ?

If all that the South West could contribute to Buhari’s election is a mere 611,777 ….. I insist that we the Northern Muslim Hausa-Fulani born-to-rule tribe in Nigeria do not need the help of Bola Tinubu.

All we need to do to win is for the North to speak with one voice and that is what we have done in this election. We momentarily gave power to OBJ and you Southerners simply went into the delusion of assuming that you are equals with the North.

We will compensate Bola Tinubu for the little help he voluntarily gave to us ………. nothing more !

        • Folasimi Alamudun

Your comments are quite give evidence of a deep seated arrogance. ‘born-to-rule’. Of course, you are free to rule yourself and your people. That is about the only thing you are born to do. And same applies for every other human being. There is nothing special about you, or anyone else for that matter. Speaking of being born to rule. Please, do not merge Hausa with Fulani. The north is made up of many distinct individual tribes. So to which ‘north’ are you referring?

          • Otile

Don’t preach hatred and division to Arewa people. They are one North, one people, one destiny. When it comes to continent Nigeria matters they speak with one voice. You hardly get traitors among them.

          • share Idea

How this their cohesion in politics is not being exhibited in educational sector. Does it mean that they don’t like education. The world we’re leaving is very competitive and dynamic, yet Nigerians prefers less educated to be representing in comity of nations. I just imagine what Buhari will do if someone presents him IT proposals in this digital age as president, can he make informed decision without involving third party even when such proposal is supposed to be a classified executive top secret for the benefit of nation.

Bola Tinubu snatches defeat from the jaws of victory

    If only Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari knew that Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no electoral value;
in Lagos state with 5 million registered voters; or that Bola Tinubu is this useless
to mobilize 70% of the votes in Lagos state for APC, Buhari would not have joined APC party.

With his former party (CPC) Buhari could have won 160,000 votes on his own without Bola Tinubu.
When the history of 2015 election is done, Bola Tinubu would be the culprit who snatched defeat
from the jaws of victory for Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari. What a tragedy!!!!

After using the Nigerian military to postpone the election by intimidating INEC, the outgoing President who was also a candidate in the 2015 election Mr. Goodluck Ebelo Azikiwe Jonathan -MOVED THE SEAT OF HIS ADMINISTRATION AND NIGERIAN TREASURY TO YORUBALAND AND SAT IN YORUBALAND FOR TWO WEEKS BRIBING AND BEGGING WITH STOLEN AND LOOTED NIGERIAN MONEY. We must therefore congratulate the remaining OMOLUWABIS in Yoruba land for weathering the storm against the corrupt rampage in Yorubaland of the outgoing President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria-Mr. Goodluck Jonathan. I congratulate every TRUE Yoruba OMOLUWABI son and daughter for working strenuously and successfully AGAINST Mr. Goodluck Jonathan’s electoral career in Yorubaland. Now let me say loud and clear that WE the TRUE Yoruba OMOLUWABIS DID NOT COLLECT GOODLUCK JONATHAN’S BLOOD MONEY . For the avoidance of doubt I will list some of the individual Yorubas who acted alone and for themselves and collected Goodluck Jonathan’s OIL BLOOD MONEY. They are Gani Adams, Frederick Fasehun, Olusegun Mimiko, Ayo Fayose, Bode George, Musiliu Obanikoro, Buruji Kashamu, Agbaje, Femi Aribisala, Femi Fanikayode, Yinka Odumakin, Ayo Fashoranti, Arogbofa. There are others. Mr. Jonathan please I am putting it to you bluntly that if you sponsor any nonsense that you gave Yorubas money and they “betray” you, we will take you up openly in the only civil space we know-the media- and argue it out, and flog you properly. You gave your corrupt money to hungry Yoruba individuals. You did not give money to Yorubas because we Yoruba OMOLUWABIS do not need your money. Again, we Yorubas have great reasons to congratulate oursleves because it was not easy to work and defeat the amount of money Jonathan brought into Yorubaland to cause chaos. Once again Congratulations to the good Yoruba people.

I think something is wrong somewhere in the election result, APC won 15 LGA with 792,460 vote and PDP won 5 LGA only with 632,327 vote, why the gap between 15 LGA and 5 LGA so close in number of vote ?.

    • Kay

I think the result is okay. Winning does not mean PDP did not get any votes in the 15 LGA. In my opinion perhaps the only region where the true nature of this contest is evident is in the Southwest. People voted based on personal convictions. Thumbs up.

      • share Idea

Have anybody notice the actual voting results in southern Nigeria with that of core North. With all massive voter turn out in Lagos the number of votes seems to be Lower than any of the these Northern states… Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa and Kastina. Nigeria we hail thee. I’m a GEJ fan and still believe that he would have still made better president than Buhari but I’ll advise him to concede defeat and leave office as elder stateman and posterity will vindicate him for his efforts for Nigeria.

Another interesting thing about this election, is the low number of voters, does it mean that all those massive PVC distribution figures were not real? We need to intensify efforts seriously on National ID card rollout. Jega should rectify anomalies encountered in last week election with regards to card reader and deploy it again for the remaining election.

review of the official results released so far showed that while Jonathan, as stipulated by the constitution which requires a 25 per cent spread in 24 states of the federation, secured more than 25 per cent of the votes cast for PDP in 16 of the states and FCT, compared to Buhari which got 25 per cent in 14 of the states and the FCT.

    • Concerned

You forget that at least 12 of the remaining states will go to GMB anyway

Both parties will meet the 25% criteria

Hardly any have given GMB more than 5% of the vote

Yet the voting pattern in GMB states is more evenly distributed as should be expected in a genuine democracy!

At the time, FIFA felt scandalized. Sensible Nigerians must feel embarrassed and scandalized by the figures from the North. And, there’s more to come from Sokoto and other States in that region!!!

    Raji Fashola loses his Surulere constituency;

………..Igbo PDP win 6 Reps seats in Lagos

The now reviled incumbent APC governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola, lost
his birthplace Surulere constituency to PDP. In Surulere federal constituency 2,
which is home to Aguda and a few Igbo settlements, Mr. Tunji Soyinka of the PDP
defeated Mr. Hakeem Bamgbala of the APC.

The APC also lost five House of Representatives seats to the PDP and one more seat
to the Accord Party in Lagos. In Amuwo Odofin local government, which has a very high
Igbo population, especially in areas like Kirikiri, Satellite Town and FESTAC, PDP’s
Oghene Egboh, who is from the Niger-Delta, defeated Mr. Ganiyu Olukolu of the APC.

In Ajeromi/Ifelodun, which is one of the most densely populated areas in Lagos State,
and is home to Ajegunle (another Igbo dominated area), the PDP candidate, Mrs. Rita Orji,
who also hails from the South-East, defeated Taiwo Adenekan of the APC. The story was

The worst mistake Bola Tinubu made in his life – besides perjury on his credentials
          and his much-suspected larceny of Lagos assets – is to aim to become Vice-President;
despite his criminal baggage as a plea-bargained drugs-runner. That over-ambition
misled him to destroy APC in Lagos state. In reaction, PDP is now winning House of Reps
seats in Lagos and even winning with non-Yoruba candidates. Raji Fashola himself lost in
his Surulere district where he was born and lived. Atsunami has just hit APC and destroyed
it forever. There is no way to put that party together again. It has acquired bad odour as an

Lagos school system and destroyed transportation alongside. All other African cities
got the BRT idea right except the un-intelligent duo of Raji Fashola and Bola Tinubu.

      • goodygoody

Looking at this rout of the APC in Lagos from outside, the Yoruba should pull together
very quickly after this election for the purpose of specifically naming and shaming the
decision-makers in APC whose toxic Islamism led to breakdown of cohesive Yoruba society.

I can bet that 99% of those decision-makers are Muslims without any doubt. They
gave Islam a bad name and made Islam look bad the way they’ve acted. Yoruba
Christians are rightly fleeing the APC party as a horrible Islamic party. To
bring Muslims and Christians back after APC is gone is Lagosians’ next task.

Muslims in Yorubaland should not generally be made to take responsibility for APC.
APC Muslims under Bola Tinubu are NOT regular Muslims but pure Mujahedeens.
They should be ostracised like bad poison from public affairs in Yorubaland,
forever. Like fools, APC Islamists ask Christians to accept 100% Muslim party as Yoruba party.

Have you ever wondered why NOBODY in Lagos state has ever asked Raji Fasola
to fight against corruption? If you investigate this simple question you’ll get all the
answers you need. But in case you are still in doubt that APC in Lagos state is indeed
a ‘criminal organization – full of Alhajis – signifying nothing‘. You will find that

Lagosians now regret and are all fully agreed that they’d elected thieves to rule Lagos.

    • Invitro

      @repost:

Raji Fashola is a disgrace to educated Nigerians for making official personnel decisions
partly based on Islam. Even if he was failing and repeating in school, as he’d said, he still
fell below the intelligence quotient of an average man without much education but merely
possessed of clarity of thought on right and wrong.

For mismanaging Lagos schools into producing 80% school certificate failure rate since 2007
when he resumed office in Lagos, Raji Fashola’s incompetence has now almost destroyed the
immediate future of Lagos state, besides the un-precedented debt of 3.7billion dollars
he’s dubiously incurred as at today and put on the broken neck of the Lagos state government:
a debt equivalent to forfeiting the next three and half years of Lagos state revenues from federal
allocation. The effect, is rapid loss of trust and truthfulness in Lagos society, plus continuous thefts
of Lagos state assets by ordinary citizens now told it is open season for thefts in Lagos state.

While the PDP might announce its decision to contest the election
