Jonathan’s campaign votes millions to hire anti-Buhari protesters in London

FILE PHOTO: Goodluck Jonathan campaigns for reelection in Katsina

President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign has earmarked $20,000 to hire protesters in London Thursday as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, speaks at Chatham House.

According to an internal memo seen by PREMIUM TIMES, the money would be spent on mobilising the crowd, refreshing them and defraying other logistics.

The memo, which originated from the campaign’s Assistant Director, Civil Society and Support Groups (Diaspora), Peter Mozie, explained why the anti-Buhari protest is necessary, and requested the campaign’s Director in charge of Civil Society and Support Groups, Nick Eze, to immediately release the funds.

Insiders in the campaign said the funds have since been released and sent to London while extensive mobilisation of protesters is now apace.

Mr. Mozie’s memo, entitled: “The Chatham House Rally: March Against Dictator” reads, “Nigerians in the Diaspora will converge at Chatham House, United Kingdom on Thursday, 26th of February, 2015 to show solidarity and support for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his transformation agenda in Nigeria as a surprise to the august visitor, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

“The solidarity rally will among other things address major progresses of President Goodluck Jonathan and many sins of General Muhammadu Buhari while he was military dictator.

“Talking Points:

  1. Buhari is an unrepentant Dictator, who will never change no matter the number of suits he wears.
  2. Buhari overthrew the democracy and ruled Nigeria despotically subverting human rights, imprisoning the innocent and jailed Nigeria’s foremost musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and innocent journalists for no just reason.
  3. The rally will remind the international community about Buhari’s dictatorial leaning from 1983-1984 when many innocent Nigerians were killed, our democracy raped and Nigerian constitution suspended.
  4. The rally will also draw the attention of opinion leaders and diplomats in the United Kingdom that Buhari should not be in Chatham House but facing war crimes at the Hague before the International Criminal Court, ICC, for genocide against Christians and innocent Nigerians who were killed by his supporters in 2011 on his instructions when he campaigned in Minna, Niger State and asked his supporters to unleash mayhem if he lost the election.
  5. Above all, to draw the attention of the international community to the fact that Nigerians have rejected Buhari thrice before and will still reject him for the 4th time. In essence, to tell the whole world that Nigerians reject Buhari.

Schedule of Event

Arrival at Chatham House – 9 a.m

Drummers playing patriotic Nigerian music – 9a.m. – 9.30 a.m

Start chanting of Anti-Buhari and anti-military songs also

Speakers start speaking about Buhari’s dictatorship at 10 a.m

Diaspora will stay at Chatham and continue to chant Anti-Buhari songs until the event is over.

The world must know a DICTATOR has come to Chatham House. A ruthless killer has come to Chatham House.

However, to defray the cost of the logistics, refreshment, mobilization and necessary permits to stage the rally we shall need the sum of $20,000.00 to cover all the expenses.

Regards

CC. Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali”

The spokesperson for the campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, could not be reached to comment for this story. He did not answer or return calls.

If only Jonathan spent this amount of time and money on governance we will be much better off than our current pitiful state.

    • Guguru

      Exactly !

    • Kelvin

good point. i believe PDP is over but the presidency should focus on doing something good within the last 30 days instead of throwing insults.

      • Spoken word

They are too small minded to care about this country.

  • Sword of Damocles

e look like sey dis people no dey hear word. IT is OVER!!! that buffoon in Aso Rock has gotta go. He is unfit to sit in that exalted office. a common market thief as President of the Republic? Pleeease!! Sai Mai Gaskiya. Respect is earned in this life, not given.

  • Jones

Agents of the Port Harcourt Disaster PHD has landed in London with federal dollars. Unemployed Nigerians and other Africans should endeavour to gather tomorrow at Chartam house for demonstration. There will be light refreshment and SURE-Pay for all. $5000 per participant, tell no one except your friends and well wishers.

  • Guguru

Wow, Jonathan and his cockroaches are working feverishly to stay in power where they work to destroy whatever is left of Nigeria rather than work to grow Nigeria. This is unbelievable

  • simone

They must think London is Naija. Abeg o, if you no get papers, no near there o because anti- go jam pro- tomorrow and e fit dey ugly small. Let’s go dia. If they offer you money, collect your own share of the national cake and vote them out. Tell them you support them, then collect the money and disappear.

  • IAMAFRICAN

Even if they refresh true patriotic Nigerians with 40000 I don’t care.
The world must know how bad and unacceptable Buhari is.
But Buhari is even too sick to be there. The man is dying. I wish good health but he should leave my Nigeria alone.

    • Sam

Wake up……………… You have been sleeping too much.

  • Ademola Aderiye

So this is what President Jonathan uses Nigerian money to do.President Jonathan divided Nigerians on religious lines. President Jonathan divided Nigerians on ethnic lines. President Jonathan has started the division of Nigerians in the Diaspora. Very shortly Nigerians in the diaspora will become divided against one another. Very soon with the way President Jonathan is going with his extremely divisive politics, Nigerians in the diaspora will no longer talk to one another. Please watch. Goodluck Jonathan remains the most desperate, the most divisive Nigerian ruler ever. Dividing Nigerians in the Diaspora is the final straw in Jonathan’s hand. Nigeria is in a bad situation with Goodluck Jonathan

    • kamal Kamoru

Stop living a lie my brother. Who brought about the division in the first place??
What can be more divisive than saying a country will be ungovernable if leadership does not ‘return’ to a certain part of the country??
What can be more divisive than a candidate openly coming out to say people of one religion should only vote a person of their own religion??
What can be more divisive than people of a region picking up arms and blowing others places of worship to smithereens??
The greatest deceit is lying to oneself!
      Keep it up bro..

      • There was never a time buhari said he was going to make any government ungovernable, that statement was made by a pdp bot member. Jonathan is playing divisive politics running from church to church, oba to oba. I fell in love with buhari when l discovered that Gej and the cabals are afraid of him. If there any candidate lying, its Gej coughing out fake achievements and figures.

      • progress

        Sharaaaap

        • kamal Kamoru

U must be one of the violent ‘ungovernable’ divisive Corper-killers I ws talking about.
          REPENT!

      • Ademola Aderiye

President Jonathan took over the Christian Association of Nigeria through his tribesman Mr. Ayo Oristejafor (CAN President ) and divided it because Jonathan turned CAN to his campaign office through his fellow tribesman Ayo Oritsejafor. The duo of Goodluck Jonathan /Ayo Oritsejafor actually kiilled CAN on tribal ground with oil money. President Jonathan was looking for votes-he came to Yourba land and invented a non-existent dichotomy/divide -“Yoruba Christian/Muslim” . What will Goodluck Jonathan not do in desperation to win. Going to the diaspora to DIVIDE Nigeria and NIgerians is the final straw. We are watching. Nigerians at home and in the diaspora are watching.

      • SAM .A

How did you get this wacky information into your head, Ademola Aderiye is giving you facts ,and articulating it intelligently. Take it or leave it.

    • hope

Take little time to think. You will clearly hear d voice of lie muhammed in that so call memo.

  • Messi Baba

It amazes me how supposed educated men go into a frenzy at the name of GEJ and throw away their thinking caps..then swallow every garbage hurled at them in the name of journalism..and post thoughtless comments in the process??
How can any sane human just believe this wishy washy tale becos GEJ is mentioned??
WHERE IN THIS TRASHY CONCOCTION WAS THE SO CALLED ‘MILLIONS’ MENTIONED FOR HIRING ANTI BUHARI PROTESTERS??
How do we know these disjointed quotes are from any so called ‘memo’?
How can we be sure these quotes are not those of the king of Bourdillon..as dictated to Lai-Lie??
Are we not all living witnesses of the highly suspicious piece of paper(memo?) the APC goons brandished about in the name of WASC ‘statement of result’ and how it is generally believed to be a forged ‘memo’??
This poorly cobbled article is just a poor attempt to pre-empt the likely large turnout of true Democrats tomorrow, registering their disgust at an EX-COUPIST pretending to be a ‘defender of democracy’!
    RuuuuuBISH!

    • Epi

Bro, if you convert $20,000 to Naira you’ll get about N4,000,000 hence the million for hire.

  • djay

Are those for anti buhari protest in Uk going to vote? All these are just the struggles of a drowning man.

    • Mosaku 147

That is the chief reason I call them bombos. Can you imagine them organizing rallies where there are no voters? All na to collect cash. We know their likes in America,Canada and mainland Europe. These same diasporans who since 2015 national political reform conference have not protested about their voting rights want to protest against GMB. Yeye dey smell for London. If hungry dey catch una,una beta come back home come hustle.nonsence people.

      • Messi Baba

It’s all about raising awareness and reminding Naijas back home of the ex dictators sordid past.
For crying out loud, even your noisy neighbour wahala aka Vuvuzela has been shouting himself hoarse..but is stuck in the cold in a village somewhere in deutsch land..with no papers..hidding from the cops..WITH NO PVC EITHER.

    • Epi

In few hours we’ll see if there’s a paid protest or not.

There is excitement and enthusiasm in the air . I can’t wait to witness some of these betrayers been thrown into jail. Buhari represent the rallying point for the frustrated and teaming masses of Nigeria. Buhari represent the views of the oppressed, poor, and defenseless people of Nigeria. This is one big opportunity for Nigerians to get it right.

Bros, that list is inexhaustible. It ws to draw your attention that with ‘change agents’ like those around yur man of the moment, he is doomed to fail before starting. An independent audit report of financial flows into the Federation Account from operations in the oil and gas sector has revealed that a total of N22.165 trillion ($143.5 billion) was earned as revenue from the sector from 2009 to 2011.

The audit, among others, revealed that the total accrual was four per cent short of the $148.8 billion earned by the country from the sector from 2006 to 2008.

The oil and gas industry audit, which was commissioned by the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) in line with its mandate for the period 2009 to 2011, was Thursday presented to the public in Abuja.

The audit, which was for the first time undertaken by an indigenous accounting and auditing firm, Sada Idris & Co, showed that proceeds from the sale of equity crude, royalty, signature bonus, concession rentals, gas flaring penalties, Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) and companies’ income tax contributed to Nigeria’s earnings from the sector. The audit was concluded in nine months.

  • One of the greatest undoings of PDP is that they are stupidly underrating everything include modern communication. This is another version of Ekiti Tape scandal. Names have been mentioned it is up to them to accept or deny the report. Experience has shown that they will first deny report. The president will come out and condemn it as another APC political propaganda against his transformation agenda. However, before long they will begin to contradict themselves. They will accept they wrote the memo but it was meant to be a congratulatory message to the Queen. PDP is really finished. The party keeps moving from blunder to the other.

    • Mosaku 147

“Congratulatory message to the queen”. Yon no go kill me with laugh.

  • Wähala

If they like let them march from Chatham House to Buckingham Palace, the whole world have already rendered a verdict of abject failure for moron Dumbo and his criminal gang of supporters and praise-singers. Gen. Buhari will speak where Dumbo cannot and if those miscreants misbehave, half of them will be deported for lacking residence permit to live in London. Alhaji Lai only has to alert the police that Fayose’s thugs want to attack Buhari after his speech in guise of protests, then request extra manpower to contain any unruly and jobless economic immigrants fermenting trouble… Shikena!

    • Guguru

      Wahala,

      Well said.

    • Mosaku 147

Have you not heard FFK will MOST likely be in attendance at their protest? Except there’s a last minute change in plan,he is billed to arrive London at 6am. FFK got his passport back two days ago. Anyway, trust Tinubu to have arranged his protesters in support.

It is amazing how unintelligent these PDP people guy have conducted their campaign. They are so predictable. Change is what we need and CHANGE we must get.

    • Olusegun Adekoya

      • Daniel

Why being in a haste? Let’s wait till the stipulated time. Is it not 11am?

  • New Nigerian

…I know my countrymen, Nigerians were seeing the smokes coming from Aso Rock from the distance and passed the judgement on Jonathan that he was not elected to be cooking there 24×7, now that people has actually seen the evidence of the bonfire and that he is literally burning up everything his fate is sealed. It’s landslide victory for Buhari come March. If he likes let him rent the whole population of London to protest for him – our minds are made up, and if he dare not play with fire by truncating the impending free & fair election

    One evidence:
Back of the envelope calculations puts it at about $200billion that have been stolen, shared or misappropriated in the past 4 years – through grand theft of oil, unmerited sale of oil, unauthorized subsidy payments, depletion of natural reserve, un-collected revenues through loopholes.

One Aspect. President Jonathan have personally supervised the grand theft, through two contracts financed with tax payers money, since January 2012 (possibly fall of 2011) of 400,000 barrels of oil per day by those he hand-picked to safeguard the supply lines against theft. According to Soludo: “First, you (Finance Minister, Okonjo-Iweala) admit that ‘oil theft’ has reduced oil output from the average 2.3 – 2.4 million barrels per day to 1.95 mpd (meaning that at least 350,000 to 450,000 barrels per day are being ‘stolen’). On the average of 400,000 per day and the oil prices over the past four years, it comes to about $60bn ‘stolen’ in just four years.

    – This is done through two 2 contracts that Jonathan signed to rebel leaders from his tribe.
These are the 2 contracts by the Jonathan administration that is a major feed to the monster bedevilling Nigeria and turning it into a failed state, and a personal estate of King Jonathan, it was fall 2011 & 2012 time frame – widely reported by Wall Street Journal and major newspapers in Nigeria – just google it – I like the composition in the piece titled, Help, This Nigerian State Is Failing By Ayobami Oyalowo:

”In August, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) broke some disturbing news about Nigeria. It was reported that some ex-militants in the Niger Delta had been paid about N6.32billion within the past one year by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Yes, for the ‘noble’ service of providing security against vandals for the Corporation’s oil pipeline network. Imagine! The breakdown, as outlined by WSJ, is this:
Chief Government Ekpumopolo (alias Tompolo), Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, ‘General’ Ebikabowei Victor Ben (Boyloaf) and ‘General’ Ateke Tom were respectively paid N5.1 billion, N1.44 billion, N608 million and N608 million yearly by the state-owned NNPC, as ‘protection money’ to guard the pipelines they once attacked.
As if that was not enough an insult on the collective intelligence of Nigerians, earlier in the year the Federal Government awarded a contract worth $103.4million (over N15billion) to the Global West Vessel Specialist Limited (GWVSL) – a firm widely believed to be owned by Tompolo to supply 20 vessels for the use of the nation’s military authorities to secure the waterways. Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Ziadeke Akpobolokemi, had last year sent a memo titled, “Award of Contract for the Strategic Concessioning Partnership with NIMASA to Provide Platforms for Tracking Ships and Cargoes, Enforce Regulatory Compliance and Surveillance Of The Entire Nigerian Maritime Domain,” to President Goodluck Jonathan.
In considering the memo, President Goodluck Jonathan and Akpobolokemi chose GWVSL as the preferred company for the 10-year concession agreement, renewable for two terms of five years each. Jonathan, in a memo dated 9th November, 2011, with reference number PRES/99/MT/61, approved Akpobolokemi’s memo, which the Federal Executive Council rubber-stamped on 5th January, 2012. According to Akpobolokemi, GWVSL “will provide platforms for effective policing of Nigeria’s maritime domain and ensure compliance with international maritime conventions on vessels and ships voyaging the country’s waters”. NIMASA maintains that the concessionaire would help the Federal Government to enforce the sabotage law and collect levies on its behalf. This, in a country that still maintains a statutory Naval force, and without a track record for GWVSL?
From the above, the current occupant of the presidential villa showed where his loyalty lies…rather than train the military, he equipped criminals and vandals who had taken up arms against the state. No wonder so much arms and ammunition have found their way into Nigeria and our country has now become one gigantic human abattoir where someone is killed on an average of an hour, daily. Between January to May 2014 it has been estimated that over 1,500 people have been mindlessly cut down by terrorists and blood thirsty killers.

These idiots must be so dumb to think that there will be hired thugs to be hired in UK. These would be Nigerians hired thugs will probably collect the monies and go home. But then there may be some Ijaws who think their dumbo son should be the major domo for Niger forever whether he perform or not.

  • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The trail of blood from Buhari’s years of tyranny hunt him to London ! No wonder most respectable members of British society would rather avoid any public appearance with an ex-brutal dictator who executed Nigerians via retro-active draconian decrees after removing a democratically elected government with the force of arms through a military coup !!

    • Weeping Nigerian

Lol!! You’ll never cease to amuse me…..Buhari sanctioned the execution of Drug Barons as stipulated by the decrees they had. So Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore under civilian rule what would you call them?

      • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

It is criminal to back-date a decree and execute Nigerians.

        • Weeping Nigerian

He took responsibility for all he did during his regime at the Chatam House event today unlike GEJ who always pushes it to the opposition even when he coughs. Also, that was the era of the Drug Wars championed by the USA and all countries that signed on to that agreed for stiffer penalties. Nigeria was a signatory to that. It is no surprise you condone drug dealers ruining our youths, same way GEJ condones election riggers, no wonder Kashamu the PDP CHAIRMAN for SouthWest is wanted in the USA for drug charges. No wonder thieves and murderers become governors like Ekiti, remember murder charges are still hanging on Fayose’s neck and that’s why he’s so afraid of Buhari winning, cuz he knows he’ll dance to the music when he does. No wonder thieves and land grabbing thugs like Obanikoro and Diezzani end up as ministers. N10Billion to N13Billion spent on maintaining private jets with millions starving. No wonder scammers like Abba Moro the minister of interior took N1000 from over 700,000 graduates for 5000 non-existent Immigration jobs and upon that, still sold vests, shorts and sneakers to them at the stadium…should i continue?

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The important thing here is that a retro-active law is against natural justice, equity and good conscience,it is highly criminal and repugnant and in Buhari’s case amounts to a possible murder charge .

The only way the old dictator can take responsibility is to hand himself over for trial and not at the Chartam House pulpit ,but at the Police HQ at Abuja !!

          • Weeping Nigerian

You are so silly, why not attempt to answer some of the issue based questions i asked you? Always so petty in your replies as shown by your pay masters who said that “Buhari is so old, he can’t remember his phone number and he can’t operate a computer.” Or “If I jail all the corrupt politicians, who would be left to run Nigeria?” And lately, “Two unmarried men sleeping together is corruption, separate the goat from the yam or plantain and corruption would stop. Stealing is thief…thief is ole!” LMBO!

  • SAM .A

PDP is a disruptive,& destructive virus, it is very contagious , it has infected all the institutions in the country& leaving destruction on his part.,infrastructure , security, economy , police and military have been touched ,etc .Now this epidemic virus is about to go pandemic to infect the last standing pride of the nation ; the Diaspora, the PDP virus carried by PDPigs is corruptly infecting few diasporas to protest Nigerian style in advance Democracy in Britain ,on Thursday. It is a sorry case.

  • Ayotunde 1000

Lord, please come to our rescue. This country is gradually slipping into doldrums.Buhari or Jonathan i don’t care but why the die hard quest for power???

    • abelxandercel

      its unbelievable…..

      • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

The fact is that the APC vandals took their mad quest for power to the streets of Washington and Europe about a year ago so the PDP are just responding !!

        • Guguru

          Tawanda,

Can you stand on that shameful comment you just made?

        • abelxandercel

But why do they have to go that extent bro? No need for that because buhari’s present at Chatham house will not guarantee him winning the election….Nigerian electorate will decide who governs them…..so PDP don’t need that..

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Well, this is also a sign that our democracy is evolving positively,if politicians are aware that the international community are watching, they might just be more dedicated to providing good governance. The APC are the ones who actually internationalized the Presidential campaign when they hired Axelrod, Prior to that the PDP was content doing things locally within the country !!

          • abelxandercel

            What is Axelrod?

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Oh ,Mr Axelrod is the brain behind the Obama electioneering campaign ,he is the inventor of “yes we can”,he is a guru who has twice defeated Obama’s fierce republican opposition. He runs his own consultancy firm and the APC hired him !!

          • abelxandercel

            oh….APC hired him……lol they crazy.

          • D1

He is lying to you! He is the propagandist for PDP/GEJ. And what are you writing, English or Ebonics?

          • abelxandercel

So since you know its Ebonics, what’s wrong in that……just a few sentence which i decides write that way, so do not mistake that for incompetent or illiteracy Mr D1.

          • Weeping Nigerian

APC never hired David Axelrod…..read my reply to him above.

          • larry_boy

He was also the one behind CHANGE, if you care to know

          • larry_boy

Is it wrong to openly seek the services of the best PR consultant in the world. I will also ask you to check the campaign going on in the coming UK election, both Miliband and Cameron party’s hired these Americans to help them in their campaign. This is what I called an eye for the best wherever you are in the world. APC have done their work diligently because they believe in the Democracy, which I called a game of numbers, and that only the votes of majority/populace will give them the power and trust me these American will not associate with people that will rigged the election because not only their image is at stake but also the whole of American as a nation/US govt. However, you know the same cannot be said of the PDP cos they believe in subverting a democratic processes. Examples are abounds, two of them are Ekitigates and PDP’s call not to use PVC.

          • TAWANDA INCOMMUNICADO

Americans will associate with Saudi-Arabia,Egypt where democracy and human rights are in short supply,it’s all about American interests OK ? A consultancy firm is assumed to be an independent organisation so your stance does not fly.

          • James Breen

I dont think you really know how Americans operate. They will support the candidate that best serves their national interests. They are only interested in democracy when it suits them. How many times have the Americans supported military juntas or opposition groups against democratically elected governments, simply because the sitting governments were either communist or marxist. As for these consultants being the best in the world, this is a load of utter nonsense. On the issue of democracy, did not Buhari trample all over democracy in 1983 when he overthrew Shehu Shagari ? Now he is the champion of democracy. Really ??

          • Weeping Nigerian

APC never hired David Axelrod….it was a rumour spread by the PDP amongst other rumours you’ve been using to fortuitously damage APC’s credibility. I even have first hand intelligence PDP sourced for for consultants in Chicago and many people declined, as there’s virtually nothing good to write home about the party. Until one Judas Iscariot (names withheld) picked up the offer and left couple of months later. The offspring of that was Transformation Ambassadors that showcased their moral bankruptness and insensitivity when they put the ‘Bring Back Goodluck 2015’ banners in Abuja. Hire crowds for rallies and don’t pay them…the grandson of the whole shenanigan is the Forward Nigeria thingy as well.

          • Papashango77

That is to tell you that PDP is a useless and desperate political party full of idiots.

It’s equally sad that the letter is addressed to a “PROFESSOR” a title that is non for integrity. Most of those in diaspora were forced to go on exile because of under-development at home. Now the solution is at hand, the same victims are submitting themselves to another round of porverty and sadness !!

Governor Ayo Fayose Needs A Psychiatric Doctor |By : Joe Igbokwe

Ololade Olatunji at Wednesday, February 25, 2015…

Anybody who sees Ayo Fayose, the so-called governor of Ekiti State should please beg him to see a psychiatric doctor before it is too late.

From the look of things now, I do not know if the man ever sleeps at all. From the look of things I can say authoritatively that he wakes up in the dead of the night to cry and curse the day General Buhari was born. I am sure he has fallen out with everybody; his siblings and members of his family included because of this Buhari factor.

After robbing former Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State, Fayose has been on top of the world celebrating his so-called victory until the bubble burst.

When the results of the June 21 Ekiti guber elections was made public I remember I told anybody who cared to listen that APC must find out what went wrong before it happens in other APC States.

When the elections shifted to Osun State, APC knew that it had to stand up or PDP will get bolder and repeat the same onslaught. APC took the bull by the horns and the rest is now history.

Now almost seven months after, the sordid story of what took place in Ekiti began to emerge. It took the well-respected online publishing company, Sahara Reporters, to unravel what went wrong in Ekiti State.

Nigeria and the world was shown the audio recording of how Ayo Fayose, Musliu Obanikoro, Chris Ubah, Iyiola Omisore, Police Affairs Minister, Jelili Adesiyan, Brigadier General Momoh and many others conspired to rob former Governor Fayemi at gun point.

Ayo Fayose, Jelili, Obanikoro have since acknowledged their presence at the meeting but still denying the obvious and painful truth that they ordered the police and military personnel around and used them extensively to steal Ekiti State at gun point.

But the worst hit in this criminality and brigandage is the man Ayo Fayose. Never in the history of this country have we seen this type of abuse of the military in a civilian dispensation by a bloody civilian.

Ever since General Buhari emerged the candidate of APC and the events that have followed his emergence, Ayo Fayose has been a ghost of himself.

He fears Buhari more than anything under the sun. Even though Buhari is yet to win the Presidential elections slated for February 14 2015 and now shifted to March 28 2015, Ayo Fayose will not sleep.

He fears even his shadow and even a knock at the door by his siblings, his aides and neighbours. For Ayo Fayose, the fear of Buhari is now the beginning of wisdom. This is the reason he wants General Buhari dead by all means.

Fayose once bought the front pages of the Punch and Sun Newspapers not only to pass a death sentence on Buhari because the man is 72, he used the same medium to mock dead leaders from a section of the country.

Fayose nearly provoked an ethnic war in the country but the situation was managed by leaders across Nigeria who rose in their thousands to condemn Fayose without mincing words. But Fayose will not listen.

Soon Fayose started the campaigns that Buhari is sick. He has been trailing the APC Presidential candidate anywhere he goes.

He has been monitoring the man’s movement anywhere he goes. Buhari travelled to London and Fayose followed him to London claiming that GMB has gone for treatment.

Now can’t Buhari go for medical check-up like every other Nigerian of his status? Can’t Buhari go for treatment just like any other Nigerian of his caliber? What is wrong in anybody going for medical check-up or treatment? When has it become an offence for prominent leaders to go for check-up?

Today in all the papers and everywhere on the internet, the mentally retarded Fayose says, BUHARI CAN NEVER RULE NIGERIA. Now who is Ayo Fayose in Nigeria that will stop candidate Buhari?

Where is his capacity and capability to stop this movement? Who is behind this loose cannon? Who is beating the drum for this naked dancer? Of what meat is Ayo Fayose fed? I know that a million Ayo Fayoses cannot stop Buhari from being sworn in as president in May 29 2015.

I know Fayose is playing to the gallery. I know Fayose is being tormented by his past. Fayose has two murder cases hanging on his neck. Fayose has used thugs to attack a High Court Judge.

Fayose has abused the State Assembly in Ekiti State. Fayose has abused and frustrated the Speaker by using five members of the House to impeach him. Fayose has used five members to screen his Commissioners.

Fayose has passed the 2015 Budget with five members of the House of Assembly out of 26 members. Power has turned Fayose to something else that he no longer thinks.

Soon Fayose will be called to come and give an account of his open criminality and brigandage in Ekiti. Buhari will bring Fayose to judgment in the fullness of time. The world is now seeing why Jonathan must go for Nigeria to breathe fresh air.

Fayose knows that the moment General Buhari wins this election he has to run away from Nigeria. He knows that he is sitting on a stolen mandate. He knows that he needs nobody to advise him on what to do the moment it becomes obvious that Buhari is the next president of Nigeria. A thief runs when nobody is pursuing him.

I know my people in UK and what they are passing through, so most of them need that peanut to at least pay for gas especially at this peak period of winter since they are jobless. Like i have said and i maintain, if President Goodluck Jonathan likes let him spend all the remaining fund in our Reserve Account for propaganda against Buhari, there is no going back on voting this man GMB. So let GEJ get set to retire in prison because most assuredly, he shall be invited to account for his wasteful years after May 29th 2015. With my PVC, It is Buhari, am clueless if i should vote GEJ.

  • Hassan Lawal

This to me is no news, its an expected occurrence.Anybody can do it,even the APC,its all about campaign, but i know GEJ cant win this election,i can place a bet on that.

Buhari APC’s saviour! In 1979-1983 Obasanjo screamed that Shehu Shagari’s democratically elected government was corrupt and then the Hausa-Fulani sent saviour Buhari to the rescue and because saviour Buhari was too clean to be clean Satan IBB overthrew him. From 2011-2015 ever since Obasanjo lost relevance in controlling the PDP he started crying corruption against President Jonathan and APC are sending from Heaven Saviour Buhari again… It’s like ONLY the Hausa-Fulanis are the saviours of Nigeria? Na wa ooo… I laugh in Greek. Can somebody please tell me why Buhari voted for a Hausa-Fulani man from Niger Republic instead of Peter Onu who was the Acting Sec Gen of OAU from 1983-1985? Why did Saviour Buhari choose tribe over state? Is it that Buhari is a divisive and ethnic bigot? He goes to the East and says “we are one” but goes to BBC and says “how much he dislikes the Ibos” na wa oooo…

  • austine007

APC is is broke… No more 20K per week for twitter and facebook? Well, this postponement really threw you guys off balance. Now, PDP has gone to hire their own American Consultants as APC did last year by hiring Obama’s Campaign team leader. Wait ooo! APC where would you guys recoup the monies spent if you lose the Presidential Elections? I hope it is not the multiple taxation you guys have been using in Lagos would you want to introduce across APC states oooo? Well, as for those who funded your campaign on the promise that they will get Oil-Blocs as compensation I think they should start asking for their refund now… Because I see that those whose license would be expiring by March 2015 are going to retract their steps and back PDP if NOT… Wahala dey!!!

  • Jimoh Yahya

Jonathan has finished Nigerians money on anti-buhari campaign. N7b to CAN now $20,000 to diaspora. When would he know that it won’t help him to win. He should remember that it will only compound his already piled up questions awaiting him in his post era

  • Weeping Nigerian

Hmmmmm! The hate and acrimony being peddled against The Peoples General by PDPigs has never seen such tremendous heights like this. One thing Video Games taught me is that when you are on a road and encounter enemies, it means you are on the right path. Go on Sir…..you victory is certain….In JESUS Name…Amen!

  • favourtalk

Let them continue, they should even hire the whole British with nigeria money, they will still fail at home as nigeria are fed up with the way things are been runed by GEJ, we wants a change

  • Amir

PDP is a joke and their leaders are a bunch of dafts. Because Buhari’s government jailed Fela is their talking point in this age and time. Knowing Fela, if he was alive today would rather support Buhari than support a monumentally corrupt and incompetent Jonathan administration. The Port Harcourt Doctor cannot stop wasting Nigerias money. Jonathan’s government has no respect internationally, so why is he wasting his time. Anyway, Egunje money no get refund. Fani & Co. will pocket 80% of the budgeted bribery amount.

          • Eze1

So your resources was in the ground doing what for the country in the 40 and 50’s absolutely nothing. This implies that you guys were parasites to the West, East and North. Don’t worrie, you will not die bcos no stadium test this time around. But remember, that you will ultimately end up in the immigration of the Oduduwa Republic after the elections. I hope u got the message.

Does Mr President and His Ministers realize that Nigeria’s Money belongs to people of Nigeria. That whatever spending should be on behalf of the public? And that He is accountable to the people of Nigeria? And He is feels He is not accountable to the people of Nigeria, that one day He and His Cabinet members will give account to God?

  • The people

It is London, the faces of shame would expose themselves to the world. Only the people on the dole, credit card, and internet scammers would have the time to attend such rally.

  • Eze2

Why is Premium Times blocking all comments critical of Major General Buhari but allowing those critical of Dr Goodluck Jonathan? Is this your brand of human rights & fairness? Nonsense!

    • Osebe

That’s their new tactics. They have failed! #GEJtill2019

  • Eze2

God bless Prof Eze & Co for their efforts. If not that Nigeria were a zoo, how can it ever pass that the uneducated with no record of performance anywhere except being a staunch member of the evil and murderous regime of Abacha is being presented as a candidate for presidential election. It is absurd. But such is only possible in a ‘Country’ like Nigeria where however senselesst, the opposition blames a sitting President for every bomb blast or suicide attack by their own terrorists whom they (the opposition) openly canvassed amnesty for.
Nigeria will never work. NEVER! It is structurally defective and there is actually no basis for Nigeria even 100yrs after, except for the resources of the South which the North & West now fight for with all their might & strength and are ready to do anything at the cost of anything, to get to power. But to expect that those who own the wealth will once again permit the North & West to squander its resources will be naivety at its height.
What is wrong with budgeting 20k for protests? …at least they have not got a 13 yr old to go blow herself up. Has apc not paid people to throw stones & burn cars? Who is fooling who?

    • Bros

Eze2, I am really disappointed in you honestly, I believe at this age and time people should be using their brains. You are not asking why is the Govetnment using tax payers money to hire people? If Nigeria in diaspora feels they don’t want Buhari they should organize them selves and go there, why hiring crowds, we need an accountable Government rather than these cheap craps that are looking for cheap points.
We apwant a government that can tell us what plans they have for this country, not attacking an individual or the opposition party.
The economic crises that we are facing today is not cause by the opposition or Buhari him self! Nigeria have never been this bad a dollar @ 220 naira!! Give me break, let the Government first of all tackle this challenge, we as Nigerians can handle the oppositions, if we feel we don’t need them. The situation we are in today, if Adolf Hitler we resurrect to rule Nigeria and will take it to the promise land, let it be, that’s all we want. Sentiment can not put food on a common man table or rather pays his child school fees.

      • Eze2

You started wrongly, so I honestly did not read the rest of what you posted. There is nothing like ‘tax payers money’ bcos you want to give a semblance of belonging to all Nigerians in terms of ownership of the resources. No. This is fraud in itself and the core of the reason for the present violent struggle for power.

The money spent is not tax payers money but the Niger Delta Republic’s money. So, restate your comment and expunge that nonsense before so ur entire comment will become worthy to be read in full.

IS CHATHAM HOUSE … A PLACE FOR DICTATORS ?

It is not in doubt that Buhari is a dictator and that dictatorship in deeply embedded in Buhari’s DNA.

Let me set aside Buhari’s ugly past and dwell on his “suit and bow-tie” wearing present.

The Nigerian People and the Constitution clearly demand that Buhari must present his WASC (forged or genuine) to them as a prerequiste for qualification to contest 2015 Presidential election ……… but Buhari has bluntly refused to do so in complete disregard of the will of the people and the stipulations of the Nigerian Constitution …… treating both with disdain and scorn ……… which indeed is very charactersitic of an unrepentant dictator like Buhari.

The protest at Chatham House today clearly represents patriotic action against Buhari dictatorship.

    • Concerned

Real patriotism does not need cash incentives – those that support GMB will do so with their own free will and using their own resources !!

Buhari portrays discipline. This is an example, during his visit to London, He was on a queue at the international wing of the Airport. The Airport attendance recognized him, and asked him to move forward, but He said no, that if He cannot be of good example, how then does He expect His followers to be exemplary. He waited till it was His turn. This is the type of Leader Nigeria needs. Not the type of that spends our money without accountability, and allow people to do same until the country become broke.

    • Es3

        • Julea

Yep, this is what islamic tyranny has contributed to Nigerians. Look at Somalia, muslims have dominated that country since the advent of islam, and it is chaos. This is where the muslims will take nigeria, all in a quest to subjugate the kaffirs to them in the name of their death cult.

      • Abdul

My Yoruba friend Bola are we to make our assertions with forgeries and subterfuge?

With the way both party are behaving, we all know that PDP as a party has not done well in this country but the party people are clamouring for change is even worse than the PDP. If you ask what are APC manifesto, instead of concentrating on their manifesto, they are busy criticising unconstructively.

        • Julea

You are very right. I trust that the majority of Nigerians understand the danger that the APC represents since it is the political party for Boko Haram.

      • Julea

Get rid of the islamic jihadists in your governance and society and you will progress. Until then, things will continue downward with no light at the end of the tunnel of darkness that Nigeria is in, thanks to the muslims who think death is to be desired above life.

  • vuvuzela

why sponsor a rally against Buhari? It is a despate act by a failed president. What ever sins bbuhari committed we have forgiven him.

    • Julea

That is exactly why african countries are in the poor state they are in, because they are incapabale in discering between good and evil, and believe the islamic lies. A man that committed the atrocities that Buhari has should not even be running for president. He himself should be in jail.

  • August January

Failure is the main reason Jonathan and his gang of robbers can no longer sleep because of Buhari. Jonathan the internationally acclaimed failure! Additionally, they are afraid of being jailed for grounding Nigeria when Buhari becomes president because they are thieves. Was all this propaganda and blackmailing of Buhari needed in 2011? No, because Nigerians thought Jonathan had something to offer, but he has proved us wrong with his cluelessness

    • Julea

The whole world is indeed very much aware of the failings and destruction of Nigeria, and they also know that most of it is to be placed at the feet of the islamic jihadists who wage their unholy war on the kaffirs on every level of society. DOWN WITH ISLAMISTS.

Here is our being wasted meanwhile they are hungry Nigerians who don’t know where and when their next meal will come from. Should we continue like this? Certainly NO. We need CHANGE, DISCIPLINE, ACCOUNTABILITY, INFRASTRUCTURES, JOBS. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. AND WE BELIEVE BUHARI CAN DO THIS. THANK YOU

    • Julea

The muslims, such as Buhari, are the very reason why Nigieria is in the backward trend such as it is. They threatened to destabilise the country and they have and they will continue to do so until the kaffirs stand up and drive them out.

      • August January

Your posts show you’re a Christian bigot, who is as dangerous as an Islamist extremist

        • Julea

It might dismay you that there are in fact people on this earth that understand exactly what islam is all about, and there is nothing redeeming about it. Nigerians of all people should realise that the problems in their country are islamic jihad muslims with their arabic fascist supremacist imperialist political movement that seeks to rule the world, pinky….

  • AMI

That paper is fake. It’s simply one the many campaign of calumny by the opposition to discredit the present administration. Transformation continues till 2019

    • Maitama Tambari

Ami and Abdul are fakes if they think APC would organizer such an embarrassing demonstration against its Presidential Candidate in a foreign country, for what purpose and goals, may be Ami and Abdul can tell us. However, Soludo has told PDP Presidential Candidate that to think foreign countries and Institutions would know more of your country than its people, you are only deceiving yourself, that is the reason of the PDP Presidential Campaign Committee hiring crowds to embarrass and disgrace Nigeria again. GMB has successfully concluded his presentation without any incident because the hired crowds were out enjoying the share of the loot of Nigerian treasury. CHANGE! YES WE CAN.

      • Julea

Ami and Abdul are not saying that the APC organised the protests against Buhari, the islamic criminal. they are saying that the supposed proof of “buying the protestors”, referring to the document displayed in the artical, as fake and I agree. Muslims follow mahomet who said: war is deceit. The APC just cannot accept the fact that there are nigerians who reject them and their islamic political sharia party and boko haram militant criminal gang. These protestors give the rest of us africans hope, that they are not deceived by muslims and that they will reject them. This is something we applaude, the rejection of the APC and Boko Haram. MAKE A CHANGE TOWARDS LIFE, REJECT ISLAM.

      • paul preston

the same Soludo you abused few years ago for betraying Yaradua tody you are celebrating himforn joining your lying band,Buhari will never rule this country he can travel to the moon to deliver lectures with fake certificates but tha will not win him this election

  • Abdul

Fake letter full of forgeries this APC could actually be a forged party

  • TIME FOR CHANGE

The Money that accrues to Nigeria in a year is 2 to 3 times our yearly budget if not more. which means we are suppose to be saving. Or does it means we are spending out of budget. Where is our monies? Sorry to say this Mr President I don’t see you taking us to our promised land or delivering us from the shackles we find ourselves. The problems were facing now as a country are problems other Countries have longed solved and now facing advanced challenges. Look at Malaysia for example a country that came to take oil palm seedlings from us in the 80s. They are now the biggest oil palm exporter in the world. South Africa that Nigeria campaigned for during the apartheid regime are now the major business operators in Nigeria. Corruption has thrown us into deeper levels, that it will take a man of courage to stop it is as if it. A country cannot grow with producing, where is our industries to carter fro the growing population of Nigeria. It is a shame we still import fuel at the expense of the tax payers money, but at the benefits of very few Nigerians.SHOULD WE CONTINUE LIKE THIS? CHANGE IS ALL WE NEED.

    • Julea

Your problem is not Jonathan, your problem is the many muslims that are embedded in your society and governance systems who are funneling this money into their islamic jihad on the kaffirs of nigeria and surrounds. Change is what you need, and the change must propel you away from islamic dominance of nigerians, if you truly seek progress.

  • Ben

WHATEVER ACHIEVEMENTS THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS MADE, IT HAS BEEN OFFSET BY CORRUPTION.

    • warry

Propaganda corruption, you mean,or the one you condone in your office that you have not exposed? Is Buhari going to set up sharia courts that he will preside to determine corrupt persons?

      • Julea

May the people of Nigeria beware these sharia spin doctors who seek to violate the freedoms and enslave the kaffirs to muslims.

    • Julea

This is the legacy of nigeria ever since independence, and the reason for this is that the same africans who sold their own as slaves became the leaders and most of them were muslim. Look at any country with many muslims and you will understand the reason for the poverty and degradations. They subvert and create insurrections in order to subjugate the populace by desperation and terror.

  • UNAFFECTED

If there is one thing that this electioneering has revealed, it is the paucity of knowledge of people who otherwise are supposed to be educated. Being educated involves a demonstrated ability to listen carefully, to think critically, to evaluate facts rigorously, to reason analytically, to imagine creatively, to articulate interesting questions, to explore alternative viewpoints, to maintain intellectual curiosity and to speak and write persuasively. But what persists as campaigns have become a penchant for redefining the meaning of words to promote hatred. I have heard words like dictator, bigot, etc used to describe Buhari, yet the definitions of these words fit the accuser more than the accused. In the most simple terms, a dictator is a person who possesses absolute power without effective constitutional limitations. A bigot is a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion. Nigeria’s present reality involves a disdain for the laws of the land, the wielding of state power by known criminals, unrestrained corruption, a strong inclination towards lying by the president, the merging of church and state, passing of hate laws, wilfull denigration of the country’s unity and other strings of abuses. Yet the party is responsible is pointing accusing fingers at a man who was in power 30 years ago. What a way to distract the undiscerning. Our problem is that we don’t really learn from history. Nations most often fall from within, and this fall is usually due to a decline in the moral values in their leadership.

    • Maitama Tambari

Unaffected, you have shown your love for Nigeria. Soludo said it, the issue is here in Nigeria not in London or World Bank or IMF. Organixation of Hate Demonstration in London by PDP Presidential Campaign Team against its opponent APC Presidential Candidate on Official visit because of Presidential election in Nigeria bit the imagination of rational minds. Education is what makes humans different from animals. Education gives the human the faculty to develop a healthy society and not to poison the society with hate and organizing hate rally in a foreign country has taken the stupidity of organizers too far. CHANGE! YES WE CAN.

      • Julea

Oh the hate word. Of course, anyone who rejects and ejects the islamic terrorist called Buhari and the APC military arm, Boko Haram, must be hating. Education would inform Nigerians and the world population that islam is an evil ideology that must be eliminated from society completely.

        • Betty

Your posts are not getting any likes and so absurd. Why don’t you post something true or interesting to read say facts or fiction. I do not care who you support but just post something intelligent please.

    • Patrick

True, we don’t learn from history. That’s why people you thought are fairly reasonable and sensible are casting their lot with a murderous, hypocritical and unforgiving military dictator whose sponsors have whitewashed to the extent that he even doesn’t know himself anymore. Anyone who accuses the present government of impunity but roots for Buhari, is a bloody hypocrite!

      • UNAFFECTED

That is just too much of a broad absolute. You clearly seem to be impugning my comment by throwing up more words whose meanings are clearly lost on you. Explain murderous, hypocritical and unforgiving. My point above is that PDP supporters’ word choices seem to describe the incumbent more than the opposition. Are you advocating that we ignore the misrule of Jonathan because Buhari is his opponent?

  • warry

We are becoming a country of Propaganda. Talk is cheap. Everyday we are bombarded with one propaganda or the other. Now if people Protest against Buhari, they are paid, but if they protest in support, they are not paid.

    • Arabakpura

Well, it is happening now as predicted. If you say that rain will fall on a sunny day and it comes to pass; you are either PDP or a rain maker!

    • Maitama Tambari

Wary, you are a blind man not to have seen the memo the money keeper, a whole Professor Nike Eze who is supposed to be in the classroom teaching, is here keeping stolen money call campaign funds. If you do not see the memo, may be your partner can help you by reading it loud, in case you are dumb, also. CHANGE! YES WE CAN.

      • Patrick

I do not see any signature on the memo. Why is that so?

  • August January

Buhari just finished his presentation at Chatham House, London. I am expecting the next blackmail from PDP, Fani-thief, and Fayo-sewere(mad man) within the next few hours

    • Julea

You will find that the only thieves on the block are the muslims whom consider the wealth of the kaffirs to be their right to appropriate, by violence or deceit, it matters not.

  • August January

Many of you have been charging your phones with “I better pass my neighbour” for almost 16 years now despite the amount of money the PDP-led federal government has wasted on the power sector. Yet you’re still hailing Jonathan and saying PDP should carry on. If for nothing else, I’m voting Buhari in order to see what another party can offer. If they should fail after 4 years, then we go back to the drawing board. And if PDP is coming back to ask for votes, then they would know it would no longer be business as usual. That’s how democracy grows all over the world.

    • Julea

Does Nigeria have nothing better to offer, than another islamic despot, to their population? My stance is that anyone is better than a muslim, since muslims are the root cause of the corruption and waste in Nigerian governance, as they funnel this money to their mosques and their jihad criminal gangs in order to subjugate the kaffirs and apostates. Anyone other than a muslim, is better than Buhari. We reject and eject sharia islam.

The legacy of buhari alone, should make you cringe and feel shame for the nigerian lack of intelligence.

      • August January

Your are a religious bigot! A Christian fanatic like you is not better than a Muslim fundamentalist

        • Julea

A christian fanatic is someone who goes to a hellhole like Nigeria to help the suffering. A muslim fundamentalist is the one that will abduct her, rape and torture her, and behead her, or even better ransom her for some funds so that they can continue their unholy islamic jihad on the kaffirs and apostates of Nigeria. You should be ashamed of yourself.

          • August January

Your posts condemn you! Because what Jesus says is that you should pray for your enemies, at least that God should change them, not cursing them. What did Jesus do on the cross? What did Stephen do in Acts of the Apostles when he was being stoned to death? Maybe it was even his prayer that changed Saul who organized the stoning to Paul. So, you can see that you don’t really merit the name “Christian”, and, therefore, should be ashamed of yourself for bearing Christian in name but not in deed! You’re actually a disgrace to what Christianity really stands for!

          • obat

            you not a christian atall

          • DD

There’s nothing Christian about you. You are nothing but a terrorist waiting to strike.

      • August January

Besides, the constitution has laid down the limit of Sharia. Was he Buhari that drafted the constitution? Whether you like it or not, God has decided to save Nigeria from the hands of gang of corrupt thieves having Jonathan as their leader

        • Julea

Buhari is a criminal despot. Anyone in their right mind would reject this person and the APC, the political arm for Boko Haram. But africa seems to love its tyrants, especially the muslim tyrants.

          • SamPsalm

I am in my right mind and I would vote Buhari. True tyranny is a government that has become deadened to the conditions of its people – and only offers masturbatory releases after securing an illegitimate postponement of the elections that would have judged its stoned insensitivity

          • Julea

Once General Buhari took office, he drastically reduced government expenditure. He removed state subsidies on health, agriculture, and education and he handed these social services over to private contractors. He cut public service jobs and he imposed a wage freeze. He increased taxes, but this tax increase was imposed on the proletariat poor, and was aimed at protecting the bourgeoisie rich. He heavily regulated the importation of goods as this was, apparently, the cause of a lot of the economic problems that Nigeria was facing at the time. During his tenor, he declared a ‘War Against Indiscipline’, which was supposed to instill nationalistic pride in Nigeria and
correct the rampant fraud and corruption that had plagued and still plagues Nigeria. This war against indiscipline included the punishment and humiliation of public servants who arrived late for work. However, as John Maikwano noted, this war was simply an excuse to curtail the civil rights and human rights of Nigerians.

General Buhari systematically repressed freedom of expression through the jailing of journalists, radical public intellectuals, and student protesters. As he increased the revenue of his fellow military personnel and promoted his generals, he also created laws that protected the richest persons in society, whilst simultaneously suppressing those who dared to oppose him. His military regime was draconian, and he was relatively worse than President Shagari, the president of the republic he overthrew and sought to repair. He also imposed laws that created harsher penalties for armed robbery, malpractice, and other petty offences.

He started his own version of the war on drugs and also imposed harsher sentences for drug use and drug peddling. He greatly expanded the security organization, prisons, and maximum-security centres, while legally and morally criminalizing petty offenders in Nigeria. He did all of this under
the guise of promoting discipline by individuating the problem, rather than taking hard stances on the institutional problem of corruption in Nigeria, one that he, his military buddies, and the bourgeois Nigerians that he was protecting, were perpetuating. In the face of his draconian regime, General Ibrahim Babangida overthrew General Buhari on August 27th 1985. I understand
that Muhammadu Buhari took over leadership of Nigeria during tough times, but he was a perfect personification of the ills that the Nigerian society was fighting against, he was not a great leader, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Anyone who votes for this man and his sharia islamic party has got rocks in their head. Jonathan just needs to get rid of the likes of him from the ruling party, and subdue islam drastically and Nigeria will start moving forward. Or perhaps the better solution is for the west to colonise the country again. That is what broke the islamic dominance of Nigeria then and it can do so again.

          • SamPsalm

Long story – mostly your twisted versions of a period that Nigerians can still remember. Buhari’s government was a Hobson’s choice: it replaced a totally inept, directionless, corrupt and yet powerful government that had bought up the political space and structure necessary to effect any change. He was a young military officer and he used the only skills available to him the best way he knew. Read all the strange motives you want, Nigerians know the man – that he loves his nation and would do his best for it – even if he is wrong. We need such men – especially now that he is welded not to an Idiagbon but to an Osinbajo who is probably Nigeria’s soundest mind in the strategic deployment of policy and legal options for the development of real people and securing of the government of the day. Christians do badly under corrupt, weak and inept administration that cannot enforce the law for the mere fact that Christianity is the one religion that does not promote living by the sword -which is why the Bible commends obedience to governments. So, if you are looking to protect Christians, throw away this Jonathan cult-group and let Buhari-Osinbajo come in and start a process where law and order, instead of Patience and Goodluck will rein.

a good way to show that Nigerians are not only a body of corrupt and
liars. When PDP won the election with OBJ I was not happy just
because the make up of the Party was lopsided. Every one that matters
joined the Party I was worried that it was a creation of hydra worm
that would only continue stealing the available funds and may not do
anything. It has come true. Thieves and corrupt criminals that hide

trillions they have stole. They will not enjoy it in Jesus Name.

Anyone who votes for this man and his sharia islamic party is morally bankrupt. Nigerians must not listen to the islamic jihad propaganda that seek to denigrate their opposition, since it is the muslims themselves who have worked really hard to subvert Nigeria economically since the last thing they wanted to see happen was prosperity under Jonathan, a christian. Since muslims have been in power in Nigeria for most of the time, realise this is your problem and Jonathan just needs to get rid of the likes of him from the ruling party, and subdue islam drastically and Nigeria will start moving

I have a high 2:1 in History and International relations, i wrote on military rule as part of a series of term papers and examined all the various military regimes, all you said here are misconstrued and twisted to suit your paycheck as a troll for the pdp. Buhari tried and his actions then were in response to the decay and filth in Nigeria’s fabric of life. Only people like you and your bosses at Aso Rock are scared of his reforms and his No-Nonsense approach to corruption.
