We’ll humiliate Buhari — South East PDP

Muhammadu Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described APC’s cap in hand scouting for South East votes as will-o’-the-wisp, sheer delusion and a mid-day feverish dream, asking the party to forget the zone as
South-Easterners will deliver 100 percent block vote to the PDP in February general elections.

PDP National Vice Chairman, South East, Austin Akobundu, in a statement on Saturday said “the South East apart from being an impregnable forte of the PDP, the APC’s ideology of lies, deceit,
divisiveness and violence is a vexatious stigma that makes support for it a cardinal sin among the peace loving people of the zone”.

“One thing is sure: There is no place for the APC in the South East, so they should not hope to get any vote from the zone. The bitter truth for the party is that the five states of the South East are
solidly in support of the PDP and will deliver a block vote for President Jonathan and all our candidates in the February elections. We therefore wish to advise the APC, its Presidential candidate as well as other candidates not to waste energy in the zone,” the party said.

Stating that “there is no way the South East will choose the APC, which represents anarchy and violence in place of the PDP, which has brought stability and development to the country in the last 15 years”, the ruling party said APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, will be humiliated in the elections as he has nothing positive to offer the electorates in the zone in particular and the nation in general.

“When Buhari was military head of state, he did not remember the South East for any concrete project. The only legacy his draconian rule left for Ndigbo was the unjust hounding and jailing of credible South East leaders such as former Vice President Alex Ekwueme and former Governor
of the old Anambra state, Senator Jim Nwobodo through a heartless Kangaroo trial that threw justice to the dogs. The extra judicial killing of innocent citizens is scar that even hyssop can’t wash,” the PDP said.

Arguing that ‘Igbo adighi ahapu ebe a na-echi ozo, gaba ebe a na-aru agwu’, meaning; “no one leaves a princely gathering with prospects of wellbeing, for the house of exorcisms with accompanying gnashing of teeth,” the statement said the South East is solidly PDP.

It therefore advised the APC not to be deceived by the Imo state Governor , Rochas Okorocha and other axial politicians to believe that it has structures in the zone, describing them as a lone voice in a distant ‘ ajo ofia ‘ the evil forest.

“For the APC, a party that holds no promise for the South East either in its unofficial defacto conclave or in its de-jure leadership structure or even in its tentative basketing of offices if the miracle of winning power at the centre ever happens, the people will ill afford a train that leads to nowhere.

The PDP added that it remained the pre-eminent party in Imo State with formidable structures and very popular candidates saying that the citizens are eager to vote out the Governor and end the misrule of the state by APC.

Jonathan please save you salaries, allowances and loot.
    You’re going back to Otuoke.
    Team Febuhari.

IGBOS CAN NOT VOTE FOR BUHARI TO ISLAMIZE NIGERIA.IGBOS CAN NOT VOTE FOR JUHADIST CALLED FULANIS BUHARI.IGBOS CAN NOT VOTE A BOKOARAM MAN FROM KETSINA.IGBOS CAN NOT VOTE A SHARIA MAGGOTS CALLED BUHARI,WE IGBOS CAN NOT ASSOCIATE WITH DARKNESS LIKE BUHARI.IGBOS CAN NOT SPEND OUR VOTE ON THOSE WHO WILL PROMOTE TERRORISTS.SO LET BUHARI KNOW IT TODAY THAT WE IGBOS CAN NEVER AND WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A MAN WHO IS ILLITERACY AND BACKWARD LIKE BUHARI.IF ANY IGBO MAN TELL BUHARI THAT HE WILL VOTE FOR HIM IS JUST TO COLLECT MONEY FROM HIM BECAUSE OUR VOTE IS FOR GOOD LUCK ALONE.

  • OLAWISDOM

This is money and corruption speaking. A blind man knows Jonathan and PDP have failed Nigerians. We need a positive change. Let’s try Buhari. He is incorruptible like you guys.

  • Otile

My God, this article is well written.

    • amazing2012

The English slave; give your votes to jonathan as thank you for killing Igbos and their trillion of Naira worth of properties destroyed in the North. Again so that remaining properties like houses will lost forever ! OTILE you are daft and village man who never travel, you will have known the igbos are the first people to reject jonathan. Tell us what Igbos gain in Jonathan era ?

      • Otile

Go and polish your grammar, animal.

        • elmok

real animal he is not from east another hausa man

      • Agu

So you now want to thank Buhari who is the overall killer, Buhari/Boko boys who has caused a whole of mayhem to the igbos in the north. Be wise Man

        • amazing2012

Jonathan should be blame. No leadership without enemies, your success as a leader is measured by how you were able to handle your enemies. Jona, in several occasions has come out to say he know them, I am eating with them, last two days he said Okah was sent to Abuja to kill me… but he failed to arrest them, he failed to prosecute them. Story, story, story everyday. If you and your master believed Buhari is behind Boko boys why not arrest and proscute him? Are you afraid of Buhari ? In the contrary Jonathan has questions to answer:
          1. Who drop supplies to Boko boys using helicopter ?
          2. Who give them hundreds of Hilux vehicles and fuel the vehicles.?
          3. Who killed Gen Azazi and why ? Because he pointed Boko problem to be directly supponsored by Jona.
          4. A serving governor of Adamawa pointed at Jona, he was then impeached and has to run for his dear life.
          5. Why Boko arms and ammunitions never sieze but that of government can finish ?
          6. Who sent terrorists to south Africa to purchase weapons ? And for who owns weapons ? And why in secret and cash ?
          To cont

      • elmok

you goof my brother the hausas hate us to the marrow believe it or not they kill maim and destroy properties of ibos in any religious or misunderstanding that does not concern us am in the north till now for 30 years now so no one will tell such trash you are writing in the name of politics

        • amazing2012

Hausas does not hate you like the way you do. Your hate is bound in stories and False memories of civil war. The number of Igbos in the north outnumber the Hausas in the east, is a probe that the north and south west is more accommodating than the east. In Kano for instance; the IGBOS has over 2000 shops in their main market, no single shop belong to a Hausa man. In Enugu the Hausas are forced to pay tax to thugs in the North no such and forced to collect Biafran money. Mention on hate incidence !

          • elmok

who told you that ibos has 2000 shops in the main market, lies if someone said so to you am in kano all stores there was allocated to hausas they in turn rent it to ibos no ibo man i repeat no iboman was allocated a store after it was completed its rent or in some cases outright purchase from the original owners,so dont be fooled by anyone, right now they are taking their stores from ibos and giving it to their brothers,my brother is a victim so i know what am saying

          • amazing2012

In Sabon Geri and Nomans land Igbos has over 500 houses. In the main market is most of the shops are owned by the Igbos. Even if I agree with you that the market shops were rented to Igbos in hundreds , mentioned where in Igbo land 10 shops were rented to Hausas or Yorubas or 10 houses belonging to the later !

          • elmok

i dont know ,you mean no hausa man has a shop here maybe because they are not business like, they cannot pay for shops ,but go to asaba they have and own shops there because its cheaper there than onitsha

          • amazing2012

Is Asaba Igbo land ? Hausas are known with trade for thousand years back. Hence their closeness with igbos.

          • elmok

if Asaba is not an igbo land then i rest my case GOODNITE

        • Tunde

The Hausas hate Ibos, and they practice Sharia in Kano yet there are more Ibos in Kano City than there are in the entire Bayelsa Sate.

Does that fact show that Hausas hate ibos?

    • VOTEoutGEJ!

Igbos were not breeding and selling babies for survival until the advent of GEJ. What a legacy of a fake Azikiwe. Muhamadu Okechukwu Buhari is the new kid on the block in SE. GEJ is a pathetic human being who needs an urgent mental rehabilitation!!

all of you posting here are not ibos but hausas cloning ibo names or claiming to be one am equally an ibo its because you have not move your ass to the north and see how we are treated,in business, school etc how then do you expect me to vote for northern people who are the cause of our problem in business,do you know the worth of our people property and businesses destroy by these people in maiduguri, kano in the name of religious crisis etc unless an ibo man is chosen by APC then i will vote for them but since they dont find an ibo man worthy of carrying apc flag in this election my vote goes to GEJ and so with any right thinking ibo man

  • BURNING SPEAR

The Igbos are mercenaries; they are there for sale. If the devil were to come today to say, I am the devil about whom the Bible and the Quran have spoken, I am prepared to give money, the Igbo will take the money and vote for him. Quote me!

This is the verdict of a Kano State delegate to the just concluded National Conference and convener of the Coalition of Northern Politicians, Academics, Professionals and Businessmen, Dr. Junaid Mohammed when he spoke in an interview with The Punch’-Ibos should go and face Dr. Junaid-who insulted them–and -not Jonathan—biko—-WHAT A SHAME–WHAT A COUNTRY—WHAT A WAY TO PLAY ETHNIC POLITICS—LET YOUR YES BE YES AND YOUR NO BE NO–BIKO

  • Ukpaka

Stop the lies. Igbos will vote for Buhari….at least my family and circle of friends will vote for him. Get a life!. You should speak for yourself!

  • True Nigerian

“One thing is sure…there is no place for the APC in the South-East.”

A sweeping fallacious political statement that is quite close to the words of a fuul!

Well, I am Igbo from a family of at least 7 politically active adults. Nearly everyone in this family voted for Jonathan in 2011, except me (because I knew he would surely be a mistake for Nigeria).
Today, not even one member of this family is raring to vote for Jonathan in 2015. It tells you the hollowness of this statement by the South-East PDP.

As Buhari’s campaign fund-raising began, it was reported that Igbos were the biggest donors in the early start of the donations. So were those Igbos ghosts or were they imported from Chad or India?

A bridge that should cost less than N32b is pegged at N117b, which Igbo commuters would keep paying back until the next 25-30 years. And yet, the bridge is nowhere to be found, and its completion has been postponed to another four years. Worse still, if Jonathan loses, it is gone; if he wins, it is also gone. How do I know? Because he also forgot the promise of building the bridge after he got his fair share of the votes from Igbos in 2011. He even denied twice that he ever promised to build a second Niger Bridge. Then two weeks later, he returned to Onitsha to flag off the construction of the same bridge – an idea that he didn’t have in mind just two weeks earlier. Little wonder that the cost was jerked up by almost four hundred percent.

And of all the illustrious Igbo sons and daughters from Anambra, it is a shameless certificate forger and a petty thief whom the so-called Azikiwe of Otuoke has found worthy to be foisted on Anambra and Igbos as our Senator for the next four years.

It is insolent for anyone to ask me to support Jonathan and his PDP in 2015.

    • mallam mahdi

Guy these people are careless and reckless about so far their account will rise, this man is just fighting for his final alawi as he knows they have finished their film.

    • NIGERIAN

more reasons why one cannot jump into conclusion….some delusional pdp crumbs eaters who claims to be speaking for a whole Geo political zone…a zone that begs notting from the central government, has notting to lose….its everyman for himself at the pollls and the people shall give the final verdict!
a verdict on GeJ’s inactions on killings, subsidy thieves, chibok girls,NIS stampede, Kashamu disgrace, fayose’s impunity, 20b dollars missing. …

  • Dan maikoko

I would have expected a reasonable condemnation of the APC. For example “we dont want the APC because the PDP and done so and so for us”. Its is easy to condemn something but not so bright when you cannot say why.

  • Abdulkadir

While change is inevitable in the coming months, i don’t expect all, especially, southerners to embrace it wholeheartedly, as to them it will come with a price of losing the highest seat of power in the land. But then this is democracy and the will of the majority thrives. While the people that have access to power houses will always maintain a posture that is not reminiscent of what the common man feels/experiences, the voice of the common man is hardly heard on issues of his choice. There is nothing like block votes as recognized by the constitution; every individual will vote individually without any form of intimidation and if they so wish not to vote for GMB, then so be it and NO hell will be let lose. But they, and they alone must decide. You don’t cook-up stories that will insure the continued flow of benefits into you personal account while the common men are there bearing he brunt of bad leadership and you expect all to be well. People have the minds of their own in Nigeria.

If the music making the rounds is not palatable to your ear, simply distance yourself from it. Change we want and change we shall have through the ballot box come February 2015.

  • Remi

It is all about getting a share of the N21 billion. They know admitting that Buhari has made inroad into the east will mean loss of their share. But the reality they are denying is that Jona is gone. After Feb 14 they will now be saying nna what happened.

  • Papa Sam O Sam

Buhari is another late general Husman Kastine in civilian attire who vowed to repeate the killing of the Ndi-Igbo if he had such opportunity again. Buhari should forget about the Igbo votes. Not in this present Nigeria an Igbo man will vote for a nothern millitary presidential candidate again.

  • talk4change

South East is saying rubish against BUHARI ask ur man Mr GEJ why he’s terrorising people of the north with Boko harram or are you guy using style to fight Hausa back to retardate on biafra war…….

  • emmy

They are not representing South East. The people talking are PDP members from the south east. I pray that without the votes of south east if APC is able to establish govt in Nigeria development should also be extended to that region.

  • Rommel

What will they gain by humiliating Buhari and then the PDP loses the elections as is the case? shameless people who are waiting to defect en masse as soon as PDP loses election
