Human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, missed out.
Seventeen Nigerian lawyers have been awarded the prestigious Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, title by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, LPPC.
A total of 109 lawyers applied to be elevated to SAN this year, with Lagos-based lawyer, Festus Keyamo, among those who were not conferred with the award.
In a statement by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, signed by its Chief Registrar/Secretary, Sunday Olorundahunsi, the new SANs would be administered an oath on September 22, the new legal year day.
The new Senior Advocates include Olu Onagoruwa, Joash Amupitan, Olusola Idowu, Ernest Ojukwu, Ahamefula Ejelam, Chike Onyemenam, Tawo Tawo, and Olatunde Adejuyigbe.
Others are Sylvanus Ogwemoh, Adewale Olawoyin, Joshua Olatoke, Teslim Busari, Kelvin Nwufo, Amuda-Kannike Abiodun, Oluwakemi Balogun, Hakeem Afolabi, and Gerald Ezeuko.
