The Managing Director, Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company, Saidu Mohammed, has said the refinery would run at 100 per cent capacity by 2015.
Mr. Mohammed made the assertion at a workshop organised by the company for energy correspondents in Kano on Friday.
The two-day workshop has the theme: “Managing Information in the Oil and Gas Industry”.
Mr. Mohammed said that due to the improved operational efficiency of the company at the moment, the plant operates at 60 per cent capacity.
“Major units of the fuel section of the refinery, including the crude, fluid catalytic cracking unit has been re-streamed to provide the desired output,” he said.
Mr. Mohammed added that one of the foreign crude storage tanks has been successfully rehabilitated.
According to him, the contract for the rehabilitation of the remaining two tanks had been awarded.
He said the company had met with the host communities, adding that several water boreholes had been built for them.
Mr. Mohammed said that comprehensive water project for Rido community is at its planning stage.
