President Goodluck Jonathan has directed that the weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation, FEC, scheduled for Wednesday be shelved.
The cancellation is to enable Council members attend the three-day prayer for the late Yusuf Sambo, the younger brother of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo.
This was disclosed in a press statement by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sam Nwaobasi.
The deceased was the immediate younger brother to Vice President Sambo and died on April 27 at the Bill Clinton drive, Airport road, Abuja.
Until his death, the deceased was a qualified pilot who worked with the former Nigerian Airways and the Presidential Air Fleet before retiring to be on his own.
He was born in 1956 and is survived by his wife, three daughters, and 10 brothers and sisters.
He has since been buried at the Apo cemetery, Abuja, according to Islamic rites.
