“Let us use this Easter to rededicate ourselves to all the things that bind us together”.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on all Nigerians, irrespective of religious inclinations to pray for Nigeria and rededicate themselves to unity on Easter which begins on Friday.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Friday said Nigeria is blessed with abundant human and natural resources which can only be harnessed for the good of all, if the citizens learn to live in peace and harmony.
The PDP said that Nigerians as peace-loving people have shown resilience and determination to live together and succeed as a people, adding that the nation will surely overcome its challenges just as exemplified in the triumph of Jesus Christ over death.
The PDP in the statement asked Nigerians to use the Easter celebrations to permanently put behind all divisive tendencies and focus only on the good of the nation and the welfare of one another.
“Let us use this Easter to rededicate ourselves to all the things that bind us together. Our continuous peace and unity remain non-negotiable. Let old things be passed away and let all things be new as we join hands together to ensure that the labours of our heroes past shall never be in vain”, the party said.
