Imo suspends Commissioner

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha

No reason was given for the suspension

The Imo State Government has suspended Mma Onyechere, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, from office.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Anthony Anwuka, in Owerri on Wednesday.

Anwuka, in the statement, said the decision to suspend the commissioner was taken after the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Gov. Rochas Okorocha.

The state did not give any reason for the suspension.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Primary and Secondary School Education, Uche Ejiogu, has been directed to take over the running of the affairs of the ministry.
