The ASUU NEC meeting held for over 12 hours.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said that it would address Nigerians on the outcome of its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting at noon on Tuesday.
The lecturers stated this a little after midnight on Tuesday morning during their marathon meeting held at the Federal University of Technology Minna.
The meeting, which started before midday on Monday, continued until Tuesday morning.
A little after midnight, one of the lecturers came out of the meeting to address waiting journalists. He said the union would announce the outcome of its meeting at a press conference at noon.
The lecturers are expected to call off their over five-month-old strike, which commenced on July 1, after signing an agreement with the federal government last week.
