A 10-year-old primary six pupil of Omolayo Nursery and Primary School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Oluwaferanmi Okunola, who was recently diagnosed of brain tumour requires N1 million for surgery.
Oluwaferanmi is currently bed-ridden at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba.
The ailment, which was diagnosed this year, has seen the boy and his parents move from one hospital to the other; including the University College Hospital, UCH.
According to a referral letter to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital from the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, dated November 20, 2013, one Dr. Alaba affirmed that the patient was diagnosed of brain tumour after a scan.
The parents are currently faced with the challenge of raising money for the surgical operation to remove the tumour. Along with his medication and other sundry expenses, it was estimated that the family would need N1 million for Oluwaferanmi’ s treatment.
His father, Olanrewaju, who is a commercial driver, has appealed to the public to come to his aid and save his son’s life.
The father said his family had since spent all they had on Oluwaferanmi.
