The Nigerian Navy on Wednesday announced the promotion of 130 officers, including six Rear Admirals.
A statement issued in Abuja and signed by Commodore Kabir Aliyu, the Director of Naval Information, said the promotions were released by the Navy Board on November 26.
The statement said that the 130 officers were made up of six Rear Admirals, 44 Commodores, 50 Captains and 30 Commanders.
It listed the names of the Admirals as: O.C. Medani, J.O. Okogie, J.O. Oluwole, F.D. Bobai, A.O. Odeh and S.U. Ahmadu.
The statement said that the new Admirals and their Army and Air Force counterparts would be decorated together.
It said that the other officers would be decorated by their administrative authorities at a date to be communicated “in due course’’.
